Occhi Belli - Review - Wallingford - Seattle - The Infatuation
"Is this a wine bar, or an elaborate marketing ploy for the owner’s novel of the same name? In either case, you can get some small bites here in addition to glass pours, while pondering whether the tale of Luca and his adventures in Italy is worthy of your book club.
We haven’t been here yet, but want you to know this spot exists." - Gabe Guarente
This is a new place in our neighborhood and it's the best Italian food to come our way! Great wines, a good sized menu (with lots of vegetarian selections) and fine service. They also have a happy hour each day! We'll be back!

Food was absolutely amazing! Tried so many dishes and desserts. Will definitely be coming back. The decor was inviting and really enjoyed looking at the photos on the wall. The atmosphere was enjoyable and exciting. The restaurant is quaint, charming, and exceptional.

We have been twice in one week, absolutely delicious! Tim, the owner, provides the best, most personal service. The gnocchi, bruschetta and focaccia, especially are to die for but everything was delicious - all made in-house! As I eat my leftovers from last night, I can’t help but say out loud “damn, that is SO good” 🤤
Thank you Tim! See you again soon 🍝

Felt like you could be in a little town in Italy here. The owner was one of the original owners of Brunello on Roosevelt. Occhi Belli is an enoteca-style concept named after a novel he wrote. What a cool story (literally).
They have wine by the bottle and by the glass, delicious and affordable small plates, and service that makes you feel like family. I loved the NA sparkling! It was a spanish verdejo that wasn’t too sweet. My husband really enjoyed the Cabernet Sauvignon by the glass from Hightower made with grapes from red mountain. The menu is extensive so you can try a bunch of things and have a full-on dinner here. All great but we especially loved the focaccia, caponata, meatballs and gnocchi. Prices are some of the best in Seattle too

We dropped in to this new restaurant and were completely blown away by the food. Tim does an amazing job of making his guests comfortable and yet interested in his story.
Meatballs are next level, mussels sublime and gnocchi dreamy! Plus the wine list is excellent. Highly recommend for a perfect Italian evening!

Love this place! One of the few places I can get a perfectly cooked rare steak. Nice selection of wines by the glass, and so far everything I've ordered has been terrific The chocolate mousse is sublime.

Yelp
Delicious fresh light Italian fare, really cute location. Emphasis on fresh caught seafood and bright colors with well-balanced acids and cheeses. Service was attentive and friendly.
They're a hot new restaurant perfect for couples with a great happy hour deal on wine. We had the Beet salad, carpaccio, and the Pesto Shrimp which was excellent.

Yelp
Excellent new neighborhood eatery with a great menu and friendly service. It was a treat to meet Tim, the owner, who took time to tell us his journey to make this such a special place. His wine selections paired with the food well, and this was a fun place. I highly recommend for Happy Hour, a lite bite, or a full meal.
