Ocean Park Inn – A Beachside Gem! We had a fantastic stay at Ocean Park Inn! The staff was truly exceptional—friendly, attentive, and always ready to help. The hotel is decorated so charmingly, with a coastal vibe that perfectly matches its location. Being just steps from the beach, it’s ideal for morning walks, sunset views, and soaking in the laid-back San Diego atmosphere. The overall environment is vibrant and welcoming, making it a great spot for both relaxation and fun. The only minor downside is its proximity to a nightclub. If you're staying over a Friday or Saturday night, be prepared for a bit of noise. That said, it didn’t overshadow the wonderful experience we had. Highly recommend for anyone looking to enjoy the best of Pacific Beach!

We had a good time at the hotel. Loved the location with the beach just steps away. The room had lovely decor but some noise from the fridge and vibrations when they were doing laundry. Parking was available for a fee but the spaces were mostly compact and there were large pillars which made it difficult to park our large SUV. Would give 5 stars if not for the parking.

From the moment I walked into the lobby of the Ocean Park Inn, I knew this wasn’t just a hotel stay — it was an experience. Beautiful beach front hotel right on the boardwalk in sunny San Diego, the setting was picture-perfect, but it was the hospitality that truly elevated our stay.||The staff greeted me with a genuine welcoming manner, a complimentary margarita, and a complimentary room upgrade to a gorgeous ocean view. Check-in with Jonathan and Jesus was seamless, entertaining, and an amazing start to a lil family vacay. They even gave me a complementary lego crab for my 5 year old! It’s those little touches that speak volumes, and whoever is in charge of promo and marketing is winning at life! ||Room was beautiful, clean, and bed was comfy. The view was nails, just book your stay, don't even think twice.

Always a great place to say right on the beach. People watching galore as it is on the boardwalk and the sun and sand is right across the boardwalk. Relaxation on the beach is therapy! Great jacuzzi and pool even a breakfast included. Rooms are clean and well appointed. Located close to shops and many eateries and bars. Highly recommend!

We were greeted as soon as we drove up to the doors to check in. They offered to help with our bags and made the check in process super easy. The room was clean, spacious, well stocked and comfortable. It is the perfect location for beach access as well as many options for eating within a few minutes walk. We loved our time at Ocean Park Inn and the San Diego area.

Google
This place was amazing! The rooms were spacious, clean, and comfortable. The staff was always happy and greeting us, making sure our needs were met. We brought our child with us and it was perfect for a 7 year old as well. The pool and hot tub was always clean and kept up with. With just a few short steps from our room we landed right onto Pacific Beach with amazing views. Everything you need is within a short walking distance of 5 mins at most. They also provide private secure parking in their garage for a small daily fee. I can't wait to go back later this year!!!

Google
Overall great experience at this hotel! The location, convenient parking and continental breakfast drew me in. Parking was $35 a night (pretty average for the area), but this was not transparent on the booking site which would’ve been helpful to know for budgeting. The parking was in a garage and very easy to access throughout the weekend. The continental breakfast was free but lack luster. There is an Ihop conveniently across the street and the location being on the boardwalk gives access to tons of options nearby and within walking distance (at tourist prices of course). The access to the beach and patio view was the most important part for us and this hotel did not disappoint. However, be aware of the noise from the local bars and locals on the beach at ALL hours of the night/morning. This had nothing to do with the hotel, but worth mentioning. Thanks for an awesome stay!

Google
Spent almost 700 dollars a night for an ocean view room with privacy. However, we were assigned to a room on the first floor. It has open balcony which means people from other rooms can walk by our window. Not good for open the curtain and enjoy the view. We ended up closing the curtain all the time and didn't enjoy much about the 700 dollars ocean view! It was just not what we expected. The front desk told me no rooms available on upper floors which didn't make sense because it apparently looked like there were rooms there. Very disappointed!

Yelp
We visit this area every year and usually stay at another hotel nearby. This time, we decided to extend our trip by one night and try something new after seeing this hotel had been renovated and was offering a great promo deal on Booking.com. We're so glad we did as this might just become our new go-to spot! We booked an Oceanfront Queen on the 2nd floor, and the experience exceeded expectations. The view and ocean waves at night were amazing, and while the hotel is in a lively area with bars nearby, the sound of the waves helped drown out the noise. We never heard our neighbors and slept great. From check-in to check-out, the staff was incredible - friendly, efficient, and welcoming. The hospitality stood out with thoughtful touches like an informational sheet at check-in, a full hot breakfast, and in-room coffee. The biggest highlight? The modern efficiency of the room. Everything was designed for comfort and convenience: * Raised beds with storage space underneath. * A brilliant multi-functional sliding door that doubles as a closet, fridge, safe, and ironing board storage. * An epic bathroom with plush robes, pool towels, plentiful hooks, and wall-mounted toiletries (body wash, shampoo, conditioner, hand soap, lotion). * A full-size couch and two rolling tables for working or dining. * A large TV (around 55 inches, though not a smart TV so no streaming services). * Farm-style sliding shutters so you can control the natural light. * Queen bed with lights, side tables, and outlets on both sides. Everything felt new, clean, and comfortable, and while the balcony was small, it was still a great place to sit and enjoy the ocean breeze. This was an efficiently designed, comfortable, and well-thought-out stay, and we'll definitely be back!

Yelp
This is a cute hotel with a crisp, clean, and bright decor. The room amenities are nice, and it's located very close to the beach. It's in a very walkable, lively area... but this also makes it very loud. You can hear everything going on outside of the hotel in your room (ex: everyone partying in the bars until 2am). The air conditioner is also way too loud every time it turns on, so it wakes you up continually throughout the night. This is not a good place to stay if you want to relax quietly in your room or have a good night sleep. The front desk staff was friendly, but the buffet staff was not. The lady running the buffet would not make more eggs even though there was 30 minutes left before the buffet closed. Many people came down in that last 30 minutes as well. The breakfast buffet was simple, but unfortunately the eggs, bacon and sausage were flavorless. The water from the drink dispenser was also not cold, but room temperature.

Yelp
We LOVED staying here! The staff was really nice, the room was clean! Plus we had a beautiful ocean view. The only thing I'd add is that it's located right next to a few bars/clubs . At first I wasn't too happy about it because we have a two year old and four year old . But it didn't really matter because we were in the room around 8pm every night lol I just wanted to add that so other parents reading this weren't shocked like I was But overall we can't wait to stay here again!

Yelp
Location, location, location! This hotel is perfectly situated along the dazzling Pacific Beach boardwalk. From the fresh modern décor and surf motifs to the helpful customer service, it's a fantastic hotel. Our only minor hiccup was the noise level inside the first floor of the building. (Overall, I would not choose a room located near the housekeeping space or the breakfast area, given slamming doors, squeaking carts, and beeping machines, and there is apparently not much soundproofing between floors, as we heard children playing in the room above us until well after 11 p.m. That said, we generally did not hear any late-night noise from the boardwalk.) Our room was labeled a "nonview" king, but we had a patio that looked out at the pool, with the ocean just beyond, which was a wildly pleasant surprise. It was also well appointed, with a 55" TV, mini fridge, plenty of towels, and other amenities (about the only thing lacking was perhaps a hand-towel stand or bar in the bathroom). It was particularly smart of the design team to install sliding shutter panels at the patio door, with no heavy drapes blocking the view -- dark when you want to sleep but plenty of adjustable, view-centric light throughout the day. We also thought the parking area was better than expected. Yes, many of the spaces are for compact cars, but having seen several comparable options across PB, Ocean Park's parking was convenient, secure, and decently lit. Since the hotel is located along a cul-de-sac at Grand, it's also ideal for guests who need transportation drop-offs or pickups, since it's a safe and easy place to meet a rideshare driver. A fun place to live your best beach life!

Yelp
Spent my second trip at Ocean Park Inn and I can't suggest it enough! In short, amazing staff, beautiful facilities, solid pool and great location. They obviously spent a lot of time with the design, your rooms are well laid out, well kept and each time I've loved my view. The hallways even are adorned with huge photos of the area as wallpaper with bright yellows and lots of natural light. The pool is warm, with plenty of lounge chairs and a great hot tub. Grab a drink up front and enjoy sitting in the hot tub enjoying the sounds of the waves right outside of the hotel. Location wise, you do tend to have a lot of partiers at the local clubs which you can partake in or not, but the hotel itself never feels any of the exuberance of the night. Enjoy your evening's however you want but know the hotel will be a tranquil location when you're done. There are tons of places to shop, eat or lounge at and the staff always have great suggestions. The underground valet (free) parking makes accessing anything not in the immediate vicinity really easy. My only ding to an otherwise amazing facility is the included breakfast is really underwhelming. I ended up walking to one of the many coffee shops nearby for my caffeine and food, but the breakfast is free so utilize it or skip it. Overall I love this place and fully expect to come back!

Yelp
We attended a conference in San Diego, and we rented four rooms here. From the moment we arrived, everyone was so kind and helpful. Check in was a breeze, parking was a relief, and our rooms were spotless! The rooms were huge! King beds and a pull out couch. So many outlets!! You can charge everything! The rooms were clean, which is no easy task for a beach hotel! Every step they've taken to modernize the place is classy and noticed! The entire trip was pleasant because we knew we were cared for and safe. Thank you so much for accommodating us on this trip !

Yelp
Great location with friendly staff. Partial view of the Pacific with a balcony. Within walking distance of some great restaurants and bars on PB.

Yelp
honestly this place rocks! i loved everything about it. no place is perfect, but we absolutely loved our time here. the hotel is walkable to so much to do- the beach, coffee, food, shopping. the hotel is directly on the beach with amazing views from the room balcony. we found that we needed the $35 garage parking during our one weekend night (sunday). for our other two nights during the week, we found free street parking. just be willing to walk a block or two. there is a free breakfast in the lobby daily until 10am which makes for an easier day when you're traveling. overall so glad we found this place and chose to stay and we will definitely be back. all the staff were amazing and friendly as well. i recommend it to everyone!

Yelp
Too many kids running around and yelling with parents watching doing nothing. Which means, staff has little control over the situation. Parents feel entitled to enjoy the hotel and allow their kids to run around screaming forgetting that all other guests are also entitled to the same...without having their stay interrupted by unruly kids. Don't get me wrong. I raised two kids, aged 21 and 20...but I taught them to be respectful of others. 30 and 40 yr olds having kids are raising entitled brats with no self awareness or respect for others Staff were great and understanding.... but can't do a thing. Spent $1500 on two nights and would not recommend unless you are a family with kids who need to run around without consequences.

Yelp
Frustrating nonetheless. Booked through booking.com. Had a day to cancel with full refund, my work trips had to change weekends. They were overbooked for the following weekend i needed booked. When booking.com called they were overbooked, when i called, "we have full availability, if it's through the hotel itself, it's a whole different game" I had a day to change my reservation and i sent in a request and they denied that, a day before the cancellation period. Got charged a full day, though i was a day before the cancellation period. Scummy to the owners, supervisor, and managers for not making this right.

Yelp
CLEAN. Beds very comfortable. Ambiance cute. Balcony furniture could use a paint job. Continental breakfast superior - from turkey sausage to bacon to bagels to cereals and fruits and mini muffins and waffles and more - truly something for everyone. Two drawbacks: No real half and half, only powdered creamer which cheapened the whole experience. And, the cups of coffee are incredibly hot. We could use some of those sleeves for the cups just to walk the cup back to the tables. Bathrooms nice but the soap and lotion dispensers were empty. I didn't check the shampoo and conditioner dispensers. Hospitality: Staff was wonderful. Very nice, again I'll use the word "welcoming," and quite willling to help. However, there were far too many little threatening signs about the consequences and charges for various behaviors everywhere you looked in the rooms. It was like, "Okay, enough already!" It also felt like homework. Amenities generally good, but there are no microwaves in the rooms and I felt that lack. I couldn't heat up restaurant leftovers or coffee or hot water for tea. I don't understand a beachfront hotel stocking irons and ironing boards, but not microwaves. The pod coffee maker was hit and miss as far as working. Maybe upgrade on those. My overall score: B+

Yelp
We had an incredible stay! The room was updated and very clean. The view was beautiful and the front desk staff were very attentive and so kind. Parking was safe and simple and everything you could want is within walking distance. We'll be back!!

Yelp
We just had a wonderful stay. The hotel room was very comfortable, and the customer service was warm and accommodating. We were on the 3rd floor and had a small balcony to sit and enjoy the ocean view and sunsets. The hotel was renovated in the past few years, so it is bright and modern. The room was very clean. The hotel is not large, but you are located in the heart of the beach front, just steps away from the ocean. Be prepared for local nightlife and passersby enjoying life. It is quite busy, so if you are seeking an idyllic setting, this is not it. The pool and hot tub were roomy and well maintained, and the complementary breakfast buffet was enjoyable. We will definitely stay here again when visiting San Diego.

Yelp
What a gem RIGHT on the Pacific Beach boardwalk! It's a quaint small place with an amazing heated pool which was absolutely fabulous for visit January .They also have a hot tub. What gives this place 5 stars?? It's always about customer service! The hotel staff went out of their way to find me a store to fix my cell phone that got wet in the ocean. I am so grateful for their help. Oh another bonus free breakfast. !!!!

Tammy M.

Yelp
This was the worst hotel ever over priced the breakfast was horrible and not to mention that my car was damaged while in their under ground parking and they were so un professional about it and refused to pay for the damage that will cost me over 700 dollars I will never stay here again and I will make sure to let everyone I know about the horrible service.

Amy R.

Yelp
We absolutely loved this hotel. Spent 5 days and enjoyed every moment. Had the best view in room 326. Daily breakfast was awesome. We took advantage of the guest laundry. Sofa bed was great for my 2 kids. Pool warm and heated and so clean. The location the beach cannot be beat. We will be back

Yelp
I loved this place. Close to the beach in walking distance from a lot of nice restaurants and shops! I was robbed while walking alone at night. It isn't anyone's fault but the opportunists who chose a life of crime!!! The staff was wonderful! I was able to get back into the hotel with their help! Ralph was amazing, and also the security guard. They really made a terrible situation a little better with their human kindness!!! The breakfast is amazing and also the fishes and views. I will definitely be back when I'm ready .

Yelp
Great location and even better staff! Very accommodating, helpful and friendly! I wish we could stay longer.

Yelp
Everybody working here are very nice and helpful. Facilities appear recently renovated and very clean. This establishment is located right off the beach and I rarely want to return to these kinds of places but this hotel we will be back too. Highly recommended for young couples or even people with kids. Excellent location to enjoy all that San Diego has to offer. Which is a lot!

Yelp
Oh My God!! As soon as you walk in the double doors your greeted by vibrant colors... it just makes your day!! The receptionist the day I arrived was name AMY, sweetest voice and outstanding customer service. So my phone had died, luckily I had my iPhone charger with me I just needed a outlet to plug it into. Here comes along Amy... provided me with an outlet space, Wi-Fi passcode and incredible customer service. Definitely recommend this spot for anyone whose looking to stay in town for a business trip or vacation. 10/10 #ocean #park #inn

Yelp
We stayed here for 3 nights the location is amazizing and the rooms were nice and clean. There are some pretty loud bars next door that may keep you up with loud music. Also the small refrigerator in our room was very noisy so I did not sleep well. Front desk had zero sympathy lol. I would probably not stay here again better off a block north if you like to sleep. The firehouse bar right next to the hotel has loud music in random nights we got blasted on Thursday until 2am. I guess I'm officially old lol. I seriously almost threw the refrigerator out of the window lol. I'm taking a nap now bye.

Yelp
Loved it! Here for 4 days. Right on the beach! Plenty of restaurants to walk to. There are 3 you get a 10% at for staying at the hotel. We enjoyed the pool and hot tub! Iron, hair dryer, Fridge and coffee maker in room. Both leaded and decaf keurig pods in the room. If you have kids there's a box of sand toys to borrow. Room with patio was beach themed and clean. Very cute decor. Bed and pillows we're comfortable and didn't make me miss mine at home. They let you use the microwave in the breakfast room 24-7. Breakfast had hot eggs, bacon, sausage and hash browns. They had both regular and chocolate waffle mix for the make your own waffle maker. There were 3 kinds of juice, coffee, Cereal, muffins toast, bagels and muffins. Everything you need here! Front desk staff are friendly and helpful!

Yelp
One of the best furnished, functional, simple, clean good feel room. I have traveled all over the world but this room with ocean view quiet room is my favorite one. Love to come back and relax. Staff members were nice and friendly. Love this hotel!! Also kitchen with hot and cold water available 24 hours. I highly recommend to try this hotel if you like clean hotel.... Yoriko Birdie

Yelp
The Ocean Park Inn exceeded my expectations. The beachfront location provided stunning views right next to the PB Boardwalk. The rooms were clean, very comfortable, and tastefully decorated. However, there is noise on Friday and Saturday night from adjacent bars, so I'd recommend some ear plugs and melatonin if that bothers you. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and recommend this hotel to others.

Yelp
Our first time in Pacific Beach and I made the perfect choice for our weekend stay. Definitely, worth the price. We had the ocean front view and it was perfect. We stayed during the weekend, didn't realize it gets so crowded. We just people watched and watched the sunset from our room. The room was super comfy and welcoming. Room had comfy robes and beach towels. It was definitely a view to wake up in the morning and we couldn't hear the loud crowds from our room

Yelp
This used to be a great place to stay before Covid. Since the remodeling the hotel has done away with many of the amenities such as the complimentary breakfast. Having the comp breakfast was very useful to my family and I as I gave us a chance to get a quick bite before heading to the beach or to explore the area. Another thing that changed was the price to park in their onsite underground parking garage. When I originally began frequenting the hotel it was $20 for your entire visit, now it's a whopping $20 per night. If you decide to stay here over a weekend be forewarned that there are several bars in that direct area that have a night life so if you think that you're going to be able to leave your sliding glass door open at night and fall asleep to the sounds of the ocean think again! There's blaring music and loud people causing a raucous until 4-5 am loud cars and motorcycles two stepping and not a coo in sight. The hotel staff and management seem to be perfectly fine with this. Our last visit was our last as I can't see myself spending a couple thousand dollars for crazy loud noises that keep us awake and a hotel lacking the basic amenities like continental breakfast. The hotel industry is now trash and you'd get a better experience from renting an air bnb for the price. To the manager(s) You people ought to be ashamed of yourselves for seemingly not giving a crap about your customers experience. You lost our business, but I'm sure you don't care because you didn't care when I made a formal complaint about the excessive noise so why would you care now. Just trash people and a trash staff!

Yelp
We stayed here for a bachelorette party and this was the PERFECT hotel! Hotel staff was AMAZING valet was AMAZING!! Extremely helpful and worked with us anytime we needed! Jennifer helped me with adjusting reservations and booking and she was awesome! Wish I remembered other staff members names but everyone was great and helpful! Rooms were super clean and beds were comfy....and they have good bathroom mirrors! At night theres a key pad to get into the lobby which was great due to the bar traffic which made us feel extra safe. I will highly recommend this hotel to anyone!

Yelp
This place is Epic. I'm a resort kind of guy. I like the quiet and off the path places. This trip though we wanted to stay on the ocean. My wife found this place on the beach with great reviews. I was skeptical but "it's on the beach". This has to be one of the best independent hotels on the planet. It's small. Three stories. 20 rooms per floor or so, but it is amazing. Coming out of COVID they obviously fixed up the rooms. Maybe they have always been nice, but they are in great shape. It's quiet, except for those dang ocean waves banging on the beach all day and night. (Here's your sarcasm sign). The public walks by and makes some noise but you don't hear them. The waves drown them out. We left the door open the entire time. The staff is great. Attentive and polite. Gave us some recommendations for eateries. ALL within walking distance. The Alehouse across the street is the bomb. Grocery store half a block away. Breakfast a half a block away. Pubs and breweries half a block. Bomb ice cream sandos, well they are a full block away but worth that extended walk (hers your s sign again) We don't go back to places often unless it's our favorite spots. This little Inn has now become one of our favorite spots. We will be coming back to San Diego and staying here. Awesome!!! Oh, What do you call a waffle on the beach? A sandy Eggo.

Yelp
This hotel has a housekeeping problem. When I checked in, the balcony table was full of dirt. The next day, it was not cleaned and there were no towels replaced. No water! So, I called the front desk, which all staff is entirely awesome, Amy came to my room to bring the towels. When I told her about the dirty table, she went to the cleaning room and brought the supplies and cleaned the table. Amy is a front desk lady. SUPER SERVICE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Amy, you are THE ONE! So nice and thoughtful and into the pleasing the customers. The valet parking is awesome. All the valet personnel is very nice. This hotel needs a retraining of their housekeeping staff. Wonderful location, fun decoration, and some nice people.

Yelp
We had the best experience here. As a family of 4, the room, the location & everything in-between was ideal for all of our needs. I have nothing negative to say and will seriously recommend to everyone I know! Shout out to: Stephanie for being a great valet & also a fun person to talk to about the nightlife/local area. She's a HOOT!

Yelp
Let's talk about the most wonderful staycation you will ever have...and it starts with a stay at Ocean Park Inn. First and foremost, do not let the exterior deter you from booking a room here. Apparently the hotel has not fully completed it's remodel. Ah, remodel. Just. Wow. Our room was so adorable. I am just the biggest fan of mid century decor and vivid colors. I read a little bit about the hotel and they described their decor and mid century meets beach...or something like that. Either way it was beautiful. So aesthetic was on point - how about comfort? We had two really GREAT NIGHT'S SLEEP! So comfy. Sidenote, our room had a pullout couch, so this room could comfortably accommodate 4 adults. Now let's talk view. This hotel is a BEACH FRONT hotel. Our view was of the activities on the boardwalk, beach, palm trees, and ocean. On to the amenities. The pool area was simple but still very nice. If you're not a fan of pools, you can take a dip in the ocean via DIRECT BEACH ACCESS from hotel! This hotel's proximity to beach and literally anything you want and need makes it a winner in my book. Getting food/drinks/coffee and even supplies was very convenient because everything is walking distance!

Yelp
We traveled to the San Diego area for a family reunion and stayed at this hotel. I'll give you the pros and cons, the bottom line is, if I wanted to be near the beach within a short distance of San Diego, I would not hesitate to stay here again. PROS ===== The hotel is within steps of the beach. There is a broad, concrete walkway that runs along the beach. This hotel is on one side, the beach is on the other. It is 1/2 a block from a grocery store, so you can pick up liquor, mixers, and snacks for your hotel room or beach outing. There are several fun places to eat and drink within a 1 - 10-minute walk from the hotel. (Firehouse, PB Shore Club, PB Ale House, Amplified Ale House, Izakaya Asian restaurant, and The Backyard pub) It is about a 5-minute stroll to Kono's a small, very popular breakfast place. (You usually have a waiting line, but you're standing next to the ocean and the line moves quickly.) The hotel's pool water is sun-warmed. It was like 70 degrees when I was there. So even if it's chilly weather, the pool can be welcoming. They also have a jacuzzi. They have a wide selection of breakfast items from make-your-own waffles, to cereals, juices, bagels, muffins, instant oatmeal and coffee. The staff is very friendly. The interior is well maintained and the housekeeping staff is friendly and does a great job. You can park your car inside the building. You pay about $15 a day for the convenience. It's nice to have the option to park inside the hotel because the area is popular and street parking is non-existent most of the time. CONS ===== Pacific Beach, just like any warm area, invites homeless people and transients. They don't bother you during the day, but I don't think I would take a late night-time stroll along the ocean pathway after the crowds dissipate. The hotel is right across the alley from the Firehouse. It's a restaurant and late-night dance club. On the rooftop is an open-air patio and they usually have nightly DJs. And while the hotel rooms are fairly quiet, you might hear the music if your room is on the alley side, near the front entrance. (Closing the hallway windows along the alley side can also help muffle the sound) The hotel is on an imaginary dividing line of the beach. To the north are mainly nice hotels. To the south are little shops selling T-shirts and skateboards, there are run down beach bars and in general, the feel is like a New Jersey boardwalk. The concrete walkway is also much narrower to the south. Not a lot of negatives and like I said, I'd stay here again.

Yelp
Great hotel... and very clean. I haven't seen any mosquitoes yet (maybe other reviewers left their sliding doors open).

Yelp
Really enjoyed the stay. Clean room, great view, ideal location, and kind staff. While the water in the pool was a little warm and the elevator a little slow, we still had a great time.

Yelp
This was our second time staying at Ocean Park Inn and it was great! The hotel is situated in an incredible location. We were fortunate enough to have a room facing the boardwalk. The people-watching was priceless. It's surprising how fast the craziness of the boardwalk disappears when you shut the door and shades to it all. For those with noise sensitivities, I recommend traveling with a sound machine to drown out any background noise that may interrupt your stay. We will be back!

Yelp
Our stay at Ocean Park was amazing! I booked originally through booking.com for a Friday through Wednesday in a standard king room. The hotel has a prime location in Pacific Beach...right on the boardwalk next to all the popular restaurants and bars for nightlife. There is a private entrance/exit from the hotels pool/spa area directly on to the boardwalk. You are able to see the ocean from almost every room on the property. We were lucky enough to have a room on the second floor right in the middle so we had a view of the ocean and the pool/spa area. The hotel is clean and well maintained. The bed was very comfortable. Bathroom and shower were nice. Our balcony had two chairs and a table with a good amount of space. The staff was friendly and Keith at the front desk gave us a few different restaurant recommendations. I stayed here as a couple but the hotel would definitely be good for families with children, couples, friends, etc. The price of the room was steep but we felt it was worth it as the room was very comfortable, bright, homey-feeling, and in such a great location. We booked two more nights because we didn't want to leave! The only downsides were the cost of parking ($20 per night). However they do have a parking garage which I felt was nice since the area is very busy at night. Also the hotel does not serve breakfast of any sort at this time. There are several locations for breakfast in the area but it would have been nice to have a little something. The hotel staff said this was something they were looking into revisiting (assuming it was taken away due to Covid). We will absolutely be staying here again as it was the biggest factor that pushed us to stay additional nights. Rejuvenating and comfortable!

Yelp
I will never stay at any other hotel in San Diego ever again! This place exceeded my expectations. When I first walked in to check in I got the best vibes from the front desk staff they were so nice and welcoming. Our room was perfect and spotless and a great view of the ocean. Sleeping at night was comfortable and we couldn't hear any of the people on the boardwalk or near by bars. My family felt so comfortable here and we can not wait to come back!!!

Yelp
Terrible experience for my niece - the hotel still has her hundred dollar deposit for incidentals it came out of her account and wasn't put back in. She was put in an unclean room, and couldn't be assured that there wasn't another person staying in the room, it had all her personal belongings in. She was told she would be given 100 dollars for the inconvenience but has not been given anything and it's been over a month. would love the hotel to contact me to sort this out. The hotel say they have given the 100 dollars to Bookings.com who she booked through but bookings.com have no record of this and hotel will not assist us or booking is finding where it has gone - but it has definitely not been received by my niece. When trying to figure this out we called the hotel and they hung up on us. Please everyone that stays here make sure you check your credit card - as the money is likely not going back in, and we were informed by front desk this is happening to many customers.

Yelp
A beautiful modern room with a fabulous beach view. We received great customer service from Vanessa, Joanna and Keith. The good news is you are close to everything-the thing to be aware of-it also means you are surrounded by bars that play loud music-so wear your earplugs to bed if you want a good night's sleep. We had an issue with extremely noisy guests in the room next to us. Joanna, at the Front Desk, took care of us and moved us to a new room-very responsive.

Yelp
Unfortunately very disappointed with my stay. First we checked in and requested to be moved to the second or third floor after being on the first floor because there are no private balconies on the first floor, you have to share with your neighbors. Reception desk told us she would leave a note regarding our request because the rooms that were available on the second and third floors were not cleaned. She suggested to come back the following morning around 10 am to get moved to the new room because it should be clean by then. We followed up the next morning around 7 am and were told again they did see the note for our request however, housekeeping hadn't showed up so to come back around 10-11 am and they would be able to give us the room that we requested. When we returned at 11 am to follow up on the room change we spoke to the manager and she stated she did see the notes however, someone already booked the room. This was very disappointing because we were told they would be able to move us. The manager wasn't able to provide any complimentary nights because we booked through a third party however she offered a "late check out of 12pm"... one hour after regular check out. On top of all of this... we requested for our room to be cleaned at 11 am and at 1 pm our room was still not taken care of. We called and they stated they take care of new rooms first then everyone after. This is ridiculous to have to deal with especially for the price we paid. Also the "clean towels" are filthy and have stains :(

Yelp
Honest review... I really wanted to give this hotel 5 stars...and as a mom with a 4 year old on the trip here is why I did not... Cons: -way too expensive for what you got - breakfast was not available, which they should have knocked the price down -no microwave in room. -Small rooms with big beds and couches so it's hard to maneuver around. -homeless people literally laying in the grass pr camped out right out front(if you get an ocean front room, which we did) -the walking of people above you is insane! Sounds like an elephant is in the room above you. So get the 3rd floor if possible(no elephant, better view) -pool was hot, not just heated. Couldn't tell the difference between hot tub and pool. -parking was under its own building but they charge you $20 a night to park under their own building and not in a parking lot or something where it would make sense to charge for parking. So that was rediculas! -night life on a weekend is crazy....3 bars literally right next to you with loud music all night. Week days aren't as bad! -The boardwalk in between the hotel and the beach is always busy....people always looking in -they charge you $100 damage deposited that stays "pending" on your account until they inspect your room, which they have yet to give back to me eventho their was zero damage to the room! Now the Pros: -the view was spectacular! -bed was soft and comfy and big -easy back access to the beach which was really nice with a 4 year old that wanted to go to the beach every 10 min lol -front desk associates were very nice -close to a lot of restaurants and shops -huge TV -mini fridge -hair dryer -robes -nice shower! Water pressure was hard as hell but that was ok to me. -the couches pull out bed was huge! -hotel was very clean and kept up All in all, you are literally paying for convenience and the view. Nothing over the top for this hotel at the price I paid! At $400+ a night(in june), I expected a lot more!!!!! I suggest not going in peak months and looking for deals waaaaay ahead of time is the way to do it.

Yelp
This hotel was beautiful, the staff was amazing and the area was perfect. My fiancé booked online for us and the kids. He called to see if we could have connected rooms and Ivy helped him not only set up our rooms, but upgraded us to an amazing view. Sunny was also a wonderful attendant and made sure my family and I were comfortable. They even called when we got in our room to see if we needed anything. Never have had that. I would absolutely recommend this hotel and we will be back!

Yelp
This is always our home away from home !!! They have a nice little set up for breakfast in the morning. The staff is all super friendly and helpful. They have towls for you to use at the beach. Makes it nice to not have to pack a beach towel. The views are amazing. The pool is heated. They have a lot of beach chairs an toys to use during your stay. There is a entrance to the sand from the front of hotel. What I love about this location is it is right next to a hub on the sand for the life guards.. makes ya feel a little more safe. Parking is under the hotel.

Yelp
Great location but over priced, dirty and mosquitos everywhere in my room. I paid $279 for an ocean front room and spent over 2 hours killing mosquitos and still woke up with bites. The house keeper even agreed with me that there is a mosquito problem. Broken lamp shade that didn't even match the other one on the room. The lobby furniture is old and worn and the "free breakfast" is a bunch of bread. Lots of other choices for the money.

Yelp
There are positives. Adorable decor, right on the beach, friendly staff. For me, the big negative is nightly buskers playing music on the boardwalk with speakers pointed right at hotel. I'm in oceanfront room and there is no listening to waves with windows open, which was the entire reason I splurged for this room. Just be aware this is not a peaceful spot. Hotel staff says they can do nothing about it. Beware.

Yelp
This place is easily our favorite place to stay on our annual trip to enjoy San Diego sunshine. The location is hard to beat, with easy access to the beach and boardwalk, plus a whole bunch of restaurants within easy walking distance. Room was clean and the bathroom had cute touches and was very updated. We did miss having a hair dryer, though, so that might be something to add in the future. We definitely appreciated the well-kept pool area and hot tub. While the hot tub was oddly extra foamy, it was a definite favorite in the evening. Shout out for the night host guy (I apologize for not knowing his name) who remembered my friend and I two years after our first visit. He always is so nice and offered to help us find tourist things. Highly recommend this hotel as a place to stay in Pacific Beach.

Yelp
I stayed here last night ( 10/1/16), paid $295. THE PROS - Great location and easy access to the beach and Garnett st. THE CONS - the staff is RUDE. I called the day before to ask questions about the hotel before deciding if I wanted to stay or not. I was asking basic questions about pricing and amenities, and I was getting sarcastic answers back. The guy had an attitude. I just figured what the heck , I'll book it anyways. Upon check-in, we were greeted by yet another rude employee. I mentioned that it was my birthday (not expecting anything special), and that my friends and I were thinking about upgrading to a room with a full ocean view (vs a partial). The guy literally laughed and was like "yeah sure, for an additional $135". Ok, for that same amount , we could have upgraded to the Queen Suite. *side note* i had read a few reviews from people saying to ask about an Ocean view and that they happily upgraded you if there was a lot of vacancy. * Check out is at 11:00am. It is Sunday. Not like there are a million people rolling in or anything, so I kindly asked if we could extend our checkout time an hour (to 12:00), the front desk answers my question with a prompt "no" and then hangs up on me. Awesome! ANYWAYS.. i could ramble on about all of the specifics but in a nutshell, the place is run down and musty. The location is hard to beat though! I would have happily rated it higher had the employees been a lot less rude. **the girl who checked us out at the front desk at end of our stay, was really cool. Super nice!**

Yelp
Just stayed here over the weekend and was so pleased! This place was extremely clean, modern and beautiful. Only steps away from the beach! We had a partial room view, and could have stayed in the room on the patio all day just for the view. There was a small table to sit and eat breakfast on the balcony, which also overlooked the pool and hot tub. Bed was comfy, mini fridge in the room and plenty of space with a pull out couch. Centrally located too! Will definitely be staying here in future visits.

Yelp
Great location! Walking distance to so many great food spots. Just a few minutes late
