Google
Best brunch in Auckland!!! I found this place in a guide book and it looked amazing- it was the only thing I was thinking of the whole trip 🤣 We got the poached pear porridge, eggs on toast, rhubarb french toast and some delicious smoothies + juices. 10/10. The service was a bit slow but totally worth it🌟

Google
I've had mixed experiences with Odettes over the years, but I'll give them the benefit of the doubt as they've been consistently popular and have become a bit of an institution, so I guess I've just had bad luck. The food is beautifully presented and the ingredients are lovely and fresh. It's also a nice place to hang out, and they have a decent wine list. If you're hungry, consider pre-loading (or plan for Maccas on the way home). If you want a substantial and balanced meal, expect to pay to pay a minimum of $45 (probably more) which is pretty steep for lunch. And be aware that the "one bill per table for large groups" rule is strictly enforced, even when the place is half empty.

Google
Everything is just right at the point. The food is very tasty, the waitress and waiter are very kind and detail-driven, the interior design is quite cozy and modern. And they do have a price difference when you order Bacon or not for the omelette, which is quite thoughtful. Would always want to come back again.

Google
In the heart of town, bustling bistro with lots of options and Odettes is easily a great choice. We shared a few items of the menu and while everything was tasty the burnt gems (can’t remember the actual menu name) was by far the show. The crispy chilli flakes topping the perfected charred gem lettuces was perfection. I regretted sharing it with my dining guests. The lobster roll was tasty but not the best I’ve ever had, wouldn’t stop me from ordering again. Staff were on point, kind and quick to serve. Great lunch spot.

Google
The portion are small, the food is pricey -- but it was SO good!! Get the Odette's Complete, the whipped feta is next level yum. Actually, get anything, our party of 4 did not get a single dud.

Google
Got the matcha and French toast, if you're from America French toast is more sweet than savory, this was the opposite, more savory with just the right amount of sweet. The bread was more fluffy than compact. It soaked up the creme brulee sauce so much better but didn't make you feel stuffed, just satisfied.

Google
Amazing. Everything was so delicious, and the staff were very friendly. Great atmosphere, comfortable seating. The French toast was to die for, and the eggs were delicious as well!

Google
Absolutely one of the best food experiences in Auckland. Highly recommend. The Herbed Scramble is delicious. Look and feel of the restaurant is amazing, the food is top notch and the staff… They’re all friendly, helpful and professional. Thanks for the experience, team. Great job.

Yelp
We just arrived into town and needed a quick bite for late breakfast. We were so happy to find Odettes because the food was fantastic. The flavors were outstanding and food presentation was unique. Staff were friendly and service was spot on. The outdoor seating was lovely. We noticed the indoor environment was beautiful as well. Definitely great place for food and coffee!

D B.

Yelp
We had intended to eat a late breakfast at Odettes Eatery, but arrived as the restaurant switched to the lunch menu. It was probably for the best because we ended up having an amazing lunch. We had the wood fired wholemeal puff bread that came with whipped feta. I don't even like feta, but the way Odettes does it even had me loving it. We also had the lobster roll. My only complaint about it was that I wished it was bigger. I could have easily eaten two of them. The halloumi was so so so good. You really must eat the cheese and essentially anything made with dairy while in New Zealand. It's all good!!!

Yelp
This cafe was lovely after so many miss cafes in the area. Menu had some unique flavor combinations that were appealing enough to drive me in. I ended up getting the skewers and my partner the salmon. Both were delicious in their own right. I would have love some cucumber in the tomatoes compliment with the skewers. My partners salad bed with a peanut and chickpea was brilliant! We also had to try the odettes smoothie which was so refreshing and a great to split between the two of us as a nice choice other than the water we've been drinking. I can't wait to revisit and try more things off the menu!

Yelp
Oh my gosh - so eclectic. We loved it. We're here in Auckland for 2 days ahead of a NZ / AU cruise and needed a place to eat breakfast each day. I found Odettes on Yelp and here we are. We walked from our hotel nearby. We got seated right away. Because it was a bit dreary out, we elected to sit indoors but they have a lovely covered outdoor space as well. The staff here were pleasant, helpful and accommodating. There were four of us and we ordered as follows: - Chilli Scramble - Odettes Complete - 2 each - Wild Mushroom with Crepe - 3 Coffees It was all very delicious! I highly recommended Odettes if you're looking for an eclectic breakfast.

Yelp
Had a really delicious brunch here on a Sunday morning. We were lucky to come in around 10 AM and be able to be seated immediately with a group of five. We opted to sit on the patio since it was nice outside, but there was also indoor space if we had wanted that. Service was really propped, with somebody coming almost almost immediately to ask about drinks. They have a diverse set of espresso options and fresh juices. They don't have traditional drip, which was a surprise to us, but might just be norm locally. Between our group, we ordered the herb scramble, black, bean, falafel, spiced lam kibbeh, and Odette's complete, as well as the chips for a side. Everyone loved their dishes, with some particular standouts, including the tomato in the Odette's complete, the chips, and the scrambled eggs. It was all incredibly fresh. We're so happy we had the chance to eat here and would definitely recommend it.

Yelp
Service was good and patient, outdoor seating by the window was a bit cramped. Food was good but the salmon would have been better if it was a little more tender. The most amazing part was the green juice forgive me if I forget the name, it was refreshing and delicious, definitely a good choice to start a new day

Yelp
Had breakfast here just after a hard rain and the sun came out and we loved the open indoor outdoor seating. Really cool vibe with local Auckland reggae music. Service was fantastic, friendly and everyone made sure we were taken care of. The Buttermilk Fried Chicken Crepe was outstanding with a wonderful mix of flavors that I haven't experienced anywhere... Nashville meets Auckland with some Asian inspiration. Definite must try!

Martha F.

Yelp
The food, the service, ambiance and value are all fantastic. My husband's seat mate for the flight here recommended Odette's as well as Frommer's Guide. It was within walking distance of our hotel. We tried it the first morning and had every breakfast thereafter there. The menu is inventive, different and extraordinary.

Yelp
After a long wonderful day on Waiheke Island, we needed some dinner. Found Odettes Eatery on our handy dandy Yelp App and it wasn't too far from the pier so we just walked over, took about 15 minutes to walk there. The Grub. We decided to get a few dishes to share. This way we could try more items on the menu. Wild Mushrooms $25. This was a great appetizer for us. The mushrooms were topped with a rice crepe. Highly recommend this dish! Lamb shoulder $37/half order. I absolutely love NZL Lamb. Nothing compares to it. Highly recommend the lamb if you haven't tried it locally before. Brussel sprouts $16. This was the perfect side dish for our lamb. The Brussel sprouts were cooked perfectly and coated in a black bean/balsamic sauce.

Yelp
We found this place on yelp and it did not disappoint. It had a beautiful little patio surrounded by potted plants and had a nice vibe. The breakfast was delicious and we were very happy with the service.

Yelp
Great place to have some chips, great service. Really enjoy it! Almond croissant it's a second to none.

Yelp
Love this place. I had been in Auckland for a few weeks for work, and this place had the best atmosphere I'd come across. I was flying solo and sat at the bar and had coffee, a Bloody Mary, and the Odettes Complete. The people were fantastic and the food was incredible. I ended up bringing more friends back the second time and we all got odettes completes! Fair warning it gets very busy here so you might have to wait a bit if you're a large party.

Emily S.

Yelp
Loved the food and coffee as our first meal in the city. Highly recommend getting the seasonal muffins or pastry too
google avatar

Yelp
Went here for breakfast and it was a great decision. They had multiple of items in the menu that I wanted to try and ended up ordering the prawn omelette which was tasty specially the prawns part!!! My wife went with the mushroom tabbouleh which was tasty as well. Finally we shared the vanilla crepe, we really liked the pistachio ice cream in that dish. The portions are all good, would highly recommend this place for breakfast if in Auckland. Final

Yelp
Went to odettes eatery for brunch today and it was so popular and we thought that we weren't going to get a table but we did. It was lovely food! Great service and fairly cheap for 4 people. I ordered the Wild mushrooms and it was delicious would definitely go back again. However the people I went with are quite fussy eaters and found it difficult to order off the menu. PS: The fries are really good also
google avatar

Yelp
Oh Odette! What a botanic beauty to sit within and enjoy homegrown NZ tastes. Drink farms a plenty here, from the (complimentary) still or sparkling water, to the pungent coffee and breakfast cocktails. The dill pickle and cucumber Bloody Mary was devine. The prosecco, cumcuber and elderflower concoction looked great too. For savoury and solids, I ordered the Odette Complete. The most perfect crispy bacon, tomato that didn't come from a supermarket, avocado and poached eggs. Oh and a side of ridiculously artisan bread. I am fortunate to be back again this way in March, certainly wont forget Odette!

Yelp
If you're one who appreciates décor and styling, Odettes is a must. It's like a Simon James showroom. Natural timber paired with soft teal and navy... and those tiles! They've used three different kinds - sea foam green rectangular numbers behind the bar, light and dark blue scale beneath the bar and geometric white on the floor. You'd think it'd look OTT but it doesn't, not at all! Also those ombre glass pendant lights...so beautiful, if only I could have them in my kitchen! Anyway, enough about the décor, the food is also delicious. On my latest visit I had their goat curd dumplings with porcini and leek. These weren't your traditional dumplings but instead mini crepes that had been stuffed with goats curd and a good squeeze of lemon, folded and fried, and served crispy with a light drizzle of sage butter. Served atop beautifully charred leeks and the sautéed mushrooms, it was rich but also well-balanced. I feel I must mention that the size of the dishes at Odettes aren't huge. Personally, I prefer it. It means you can get a couple and share and also that you don't leave feeling like you need a 2 hour nap before you carry on with your day! Open for lunch, dinner and all-day brunch in the weekends, Odettes is the perfect relaxed dining addition to an already thriving CWD!

Yelp
After suffering from a dreaded lurgi of a tummy bug I was in dire need of some substantial sustenance . Enter stage right Odettes , situated in the uber cool City Works Depot with heaps of (paid) parking and next door to Ugly Bagels . I went for a coconut Bircher with chia and roasted pineapple , a green juice and my usual long black . Pretty good if I may say , muesli was a good sized portion and came with gold kiwi fruit , blueberries and passion fruit (?) . Green juice was ok , although I felt like I could make it at home and couldn't see the beans they used for coffee . I've said it before and I'll say it again the burgeoning Auckland cafe scene has truly upped their game on crockery and cutlery , and Odettes is no slacker in this department . With pastel bowls and plates and pretty uniforms for the front of house it's all here . I felt it would be hard to compare Odettes to any other cafe in New York or Melbourne as what they're achieving is original and very fashion forward . And while my mind wasn't entirely blown away probably due to my awful tummy bug , I'll definitely recommend Odettes for a 3rd date / family brunch / coffee after gym or want to impress the boss kind of place .

Yelp
Odettes opened its doors today - headed by the same owners of Zomer on the shore. The moment we walked in we were already impressed. It looked like a set up straight out of IKEA, just like how you want your dining room to be - wooden tables, large tumblers, heavy cutlery and plates. The best thing was the comfy sofa benches and chairs lined with cushions. The whole place looked very modern and fresh. We ordered a soft shell crab slider each ($8). The price is steep for the size of it but it was superb. Everyone loved it and wanted more (keep in mind we are hard to impress being fans of Depot's sliders). Asparagus - surprisingly well done, the sauce was delicious. Wild mushrooms - we enjoyed the mushrooms a lot and the feta was creamy and smooth. The dish came with mini donuts which were interesting and slightly strange. The donuts are tasteless, sort of like having mushrooms on toast but very dense toast. Scallops - this was a refreshing dish with great accompaniments to the scallops. Hand cut fries - a bit too much for me, and for some odd reason the mayo accompanying it is placed on the bottom so you can't really get to it. Beef cheek fritters - fairly standard dish that was outshone by the others. Summer Breeze smoothie - so so immensely tasty with just the right amount of citrus in it. They are open for dinner also so we will most definitely be back. My favourite things were the Summer Breeze smoothie and the sliders. Highly recommend!

Yelp
The food was delicious and I would go back for sure. Yummy spinach scrambled eggs. The orange juice is also incredibly fresh and delicious. The ambience was nice with glass ceilings and open atmosphere.

Yelp
The food rocked! The playlist of ambient music, that rocked too. They played without realising it some of my favourite hip hop. Mos Def, Pete Rock.... It was like they were channeling my musical tastes. So that was massive positive to start. Right well this isn't a music shop, or concert. It is a restaurant! Food, food is what you want to know about! What you want when you eat at a restaurant is to have food you've never experienced at home, or would never try to cook in your home kitchen. The gang here, well they definitely delivered that in spades! My family and I went to celebrate mums 65th birthday, this was mums choice, so we went there full of hope and happiness. Mum loves the sliders at depot, so when we saw that they had a slider, safe to say we all dug in. The taste was nothing short of sublime! Soft shell crab marinated, a some form of pickled something, a mayo for creaminess and then micro coriander. This pre dinner snack was great! We then had shared a starter each, descriptions of what we had are in my photos. But going back to what I said about trying something you wouldn't normally have at home. Amongst the wild mushrooms were these doughnuts, doughnuts don't belong with wild mushrooms, right? Well they do if the dough contained freeze dried mushroom powder done in house. That is some Heston Blumenthal shite right there! My main course was probably my only letdown. Snapper probably my favourite fish, it was overcooked. It was dry and chewy. But that didn't matter because paired with it and probably something that saved then from losing a star was another clever food experience. Coconut cream braised leek. There it was, hidden underneath my snapper, leek that had taken on the sweetness of the coconut?!?!?! Never had I experienced a sweet leek. I had always used it for its oniony taste. It was completely transformed. Finally dessert. The pumpkin spice custard was gorgeous! So smooth, it was only lifted even higher with the caramel & popcorn. Each individual part, not so good. Together.... Amazeballs as the kids say. Top marks Oddettes. The biggest compliment is that mum would definitely go back. High praise indeed. You know what, I would probably go back too.

Yelp
Tried Odettes last night for the first time, the restaurant it's self is beautiful the whole placed is filled with soft lighting. We had the home made bread which was yum!! The king fish, buffalo mozzarella, and olives as starters, these were all pleasant but nothing special. For my main I had the saffron tortellini, this was absolutely Devine, incredibly rich and it packed a real punch with a beautiful after taste. The service was average, dishes were cleared to early with out asking and abrupt questions such as whose is this!? Were asked a few times, Over all I was impressed by my main and all they need to do is lift the staffs performance and perhaps refine the menu a little.

Yelp
We went to Odettes after reading that it was in the Auckland Top 10. We have been to Chuffed (number 1) and we always are. Flawless and fun. Look we don't have much free cash as I have been unemployed and we have bills like everyone else. Warm welcome at the front desk by the french maitre'd. Got seated quickly, water and coffee order in. Fell apart after that. Half and hour later......Lots of servers having a chat, no-one met our eye to let us order, servers queuing at the pass to collect food. We had to call over the maitre'd to take our order. My man had the pulled lamb crepe and me the wild mushroom crepe and a poached egg. Waited another 20 mins. Lamb was cold as was the crepe. Tastless. Poached egg was cold, not a wild mushroom in sight as per menu. Expensive and we left hungry and had a cheese roll down the road. Food was cold, tasteless and expensive. No wonder everyone was ordering basic breakfast dishes. Thank you God for salt and pepper. We left rather angry to be fair. PS If you offer sparkling water, let it have bubbles and no be warm. Maybe another visit will be better, and we are not fussy or complainers. This was uncharacteristic for me to complain to fair. As it was rated and we splurged it was a very depressing let down. FYI your front of house lady works her backside off and needs to be looked after.

Yelp
Odettes has a very cool environment. Went for lunch. Food is good, but for the price I expected a slightly larger amount of food. Things I loved : beef short rib ( best on the menu ), chips with the honey mustard, and leg of lamb. The chicken was okay and the salmon was average. Would go back, but likely only for a light bite and a drink.

Yelp
Odettes Eatery is like a breath of oasis to the industrial grind atmosphere of Shed 5. Whilst the previous motorbike cafe was interesting, the location didn't give it the spotlight it deserved. As experienced owners of Zomer cafe in Takapuna, they have completely transformed the space into a bright but elegant dining space. As I stepped in, the decor of cushiony sofas and overhanging lights was warm and inviting. Thanks to the high ceiling and the light streaming in from outside, Odettes could fit in quite a few tables without making it feel claustrophobic. It was buzzing on a Saturday afternoon, and luckily we got a table for 2. I didn't have high expectations for the food. For me, brunch food was just the norm - eggs, bacon, sausages. Quite heavy food that would quite often send me into a food coma for the rest of the afternoon. I even opted for the haloumi variation in the hope that my friend would help me finish the dish. The chorizo was sweetly glazed and cooked in the same sauce the mushroom was in. The chunky pieces of haloumi didn't add to a heavy bloated feeling but because it had a little bit of everything, the whole dish was just so satisfying as you sampled your way across the dish. The lemon and blueberry crepes were just right - fluffy and light. Although I'm not normally a fan of blueberries, the sweetness offset the tart lemony flavour. To be honest, if I had it myself as a brunch choice I would probably be craving something more. But as a shared one, it was a thumbs up! With such a soothing space decked in turquoise and warm wooden hues but most importantly - top-notch food, I'd recommend Odettes as a priority to try out. I'd easily go back to try more of the menu - like the soft shell crab sliders!

Yelp
This place has such tasty food! Ordered from the shared menu, short ribs, and side of chips. Would go back again. Everything just touched every taste bud. So yummy!

Yelp
Feels like the quantity and the choices are going down. The last two times, I was fully disappointed by the low amount of food for the price. Also the choices are pretty limited. Unfortunately better places have risen in Auckland. They better keep up.
google avatar

Laura E.

Yelp
Was served by the sweetest girl here the other day! Her name was Eli, I remember because it's the same as my darling baby niece!! Service was exceptional, food was delicious, I will come again!
google avatar

Yelp
Give 3 stars to the food, it's not impressive as it rated on Metro, can't rely on Metro theses days. Environment is good quite relaxing I like the music it's good for friends chill out or brunch thing. However the food itself not that good my egg is quite salty and the quantity is not enough! I will not come again for food for sure. A bit disappointed really

Yelp
DEAR GOD I WANT TO GO BACK. My wife is still craving this place. We came fro brunch and left with an obsession we can't fill being from the states. I may have eaten the best mushroom based dish I will ever have. Place felt trendy, but accessible with healthy options and a cool location. What else is there?
google avatar

Chris B.

Yelp
Firstly this is a beautiful restaurant that has grown elegantly from the more rustic motorbike enthusiast Shed 5 Cafe. It oozes ambience. That's the positives, the negatives are unfortunately for me are the food. A confused Mediterranean, pacific, tapas style menu that while many of the dishes sound beautifully are left needing something of a lift, something to take them to the next level. The chef has erred on the side of caution with the most basic of food needs "seasoning". The one saving grace is the lamb shoulder which is wonderfully tender. This is just week three for Auckland newest eatery and it deserves a chance to get things right. Let's hope it does.

Yelp
So whom is Odette? She's the 'it girl' that you just might want to marry. Sure she flunked English, as you can tell from the apostrophe she left off her signboard, but she's pretty cool dressed in azure and she has a penchant for glass baubles that light the night like a sky full of stars. What she can do in the kitchen is eclectic and often surprising. As she settles you in with warm focaccia, your tongue tingles with the unique flavour of apple butter. Beef cheek croquettes, olives, asparagus slaw and feta/savory doughnuts tempt you with European chic. Subtly sweet saffron tortellini, pork belly and wild mushrooms with coconut accompany you further on an imaginary Asian honeymoon. Salted caramel pears and a chocolate brownie dessert may taste better in the bedroom. But then, perhaps, that's where all dreams come to an end....

Yelp
4 Spent a gorgeous Saturday morning brunching at Odettes Eatery, located right in the heart of the hip City Works Depot space at the bottom of Wellesley Street. Although I'm never one for heading into the CBD on non work days, I couldn't resist the lure of Odettes after seeing countless IG photos showcasing their beautiful dishes. The restaurant venue itself oozes new age cool, with drop down exposed lighting and plenty of indoor/outdoor seating. Featured below is their "crushed mango" bowl from their breakfast menu consisting of (you guessed it!) crushed mango , buckwheat and walnut yoghurt and a chia seed shard. The serving of yoghurt was generous and the mango ample for the portion, but I found the addition of micro greens (of some sort) on top odd to say the least. To me, they seemed like an intrusive garnish that I couldn't quite pick off. Aside from that, though, I quite enjoyed the dish. The service was notably excellent too. Not too shabby Odettes
google avatar

Yelp
Odettes is red-hot: appearing in Denzien, Metro and recently Vogue Living Australia. The aesthetics are pure eye-candy to patrons: carefully selected mosaic tiles, European-style seating, exquisite art hanging on the wall, with intimate lights to drool over. I have been here for coffee and lunch/brunch a few times. Service is excellent and the wait staff are very attentive. Food is orgasmic: salmon salad for a healthy option, or decadent crepes (with blueberries) for a sweet choice. Full bar. Good wine list, I had Miners Daughter by the glass- great. Loos are shared by both men and women which proved an interesting experience. Nothing feels rushed or onerous. Beautiful place for a meeting, celebration or utter indulgence. Try the crab sliders, if you dare.

Yelp
Dined here for dinner recently and was blown away by the service and food. There were three of us and we shared six plate between us, we chose them from the menu and the waiter said he would bring them out in three courses. That wasn't what we had planned but it worked really well. Inside the cafe it's quite large, decorated fancy and is quite open. I would recommend asking for a booth as those seats are the comfiest! The presentation of the food was SO amazing - and they tasted pretty great too! I will definitely be back because I their menu is full of amazing options.

Yelp
I just adore the blue theme of Odettes- it's everywhere but simply done and it's stunning in the summer sun, reminiscent of white sand beaches and island holidays. Especially with their huge photo on the back wall of a beautiful resort. It's fancy here with their beautiful stemless wine glasses with their O for Odettes and imprinted tumblers and blue-themed napkins. They have indoor as well as outdoor seating and were kind enough to sit us along the side wall with their couch wall with geometric and plain blue cushions in the cornered table. Loved their huge wooden slat walls, clean wooden floors and adjustable large lampshades. They have a gorgeous wooden cupboard in the back corner to store their darling eating-ware and a display of exquisitely coloured pottery around. A huge fan of their glass blown light fixtures that hang from the ceiling like tear drops or artistic blobs. As well as their cracked aquamarine tiles like fish scales and black/ white tiles. Beautiful bathrooms- interestingly enough- unisex. Got juices to start- had to have their Summer breeze which was deliciously refreshing with it's unique mix of orange, lime, lemon, pear and basil. Friend got the Odette's smoothie- they were nice enough to take out the spinach that she didn't quite like the sound of. Waiters were wonderful. We were intrigued by the donuts in the Wild Mushroom dish- which came with persian feta and baby basil. It was wee, not-too sweet baby donuts and worked well with the vegetables. We spied a waiter walking past with the Soft Shell Crab Sliders and we got one each as well. Came with big pieces of crab skewered with cucumber, carrot, gremolata, saffron aioli in wee little brioche finger buns. Yum. Got the Harmony BBQ Pork Belly Chermoula with crunchy crackle and aioli like a spread dish. Loved being able to sit in the holiday-atmosphere of this new restaurant with excellent food. They were great about splitting in half at the end as well. Must come back to try more of their amazing food and allow my friends to experience O.

Yelp
Kind staff, pretty set up and relaxed vibe. Both my husband and I ordered Odettes Complete and were impressed with the portions. It was a balanced meal full of flavor.

Yelp
Odettes is in the exciting City Works Depot in the Victoria Quarter precinct of Auckland. It's a former municipal depot and for a long time was derelict but is now a thriving space for funky eateries, cool boutiques and hip start-ups. As for Odettes, it fits right in. The decor is on trend, staff are efficient and menu surprises with interesting food choices. I went for pork belly dumplings which were delicious!

Yelp
Let me start off by saying my food was mediocre because anyone could make toast and slap some avocado on it. I am writing this because I truly felt so embarrassed and judged based on what was said by a waitress. She asked if we would like some still or sparkling water, in which I replied "No, thank you." because I ONLY wanted juice, but I couldn't even catch a breath to say that because she had the nerve to say, "Water is FREE. You don't have to PAY for the water." I was shocked to say the least because I felt like she was implying I was too cheap to AFFORD WATER. Then my husband asked for his eggs to be over medium, but she gave him the NASTIEST tone not knowing what over medium meant. Granted, not everyone knows what over medium is, but there are probably 101 ways to ask a person nicely. I guess she couldn't figure how to be a nice person that day or she's just a racist. Maybe take lessons on how to have manners and steps on how to be a basic and kind human should suffice. Maybe quit the job and work alone. To be treated extremely poorly once we arrived from AKL left a bad taste in my mouth and I hope no one else has to experience this kind of condescending attitude.

Yelp
We ate here last Valentine Day n was seated quickly n ordered our food which took a long to arrived n was cold. Very unfriendly lady (Asian) never smiled. Portion was very small and very pricey. For the price we paid we could have eaten at Wildfire in the Viaduct area and eat 10x more meat n etc. Odettes should be avoided not coming back. This,Odette, is the worst eating experience in Auckland CBD, NZL

Yelp
Went here for breakfast and was not disappointed. My latte was very tasty and had a cute little design on the top in foam. Also ordered the scrambled eggs dish which was also delicious. My husband ordered the granola bowl and loved it as well. They use a thoughtful combination of flavors you probably wouldn't think of going well together, but truly taste great! We didn't have to wait to be seated and the service was great. If I was in Auckland for longer I'd come back again.

Yelp
This is a must try !! I am definatley going back !!!!! Amazing attentive yet not in your face service with a topping of fun, staff definitely love their jobs and the food as it shows. Food is amazing the combinations are fantastic not only from a flavor perspective but also a texture! Wine list has something for everyone and a mixture of beers which is great to see Love the interior and the ability to sit outside has great flow

Yelp
Had Friday night dinner here with friends on a rare warm summer night. I like how they've designed the space, those hand blown Parisian glass lights are very pricey, but worth it. Because we couldn't choose just 'one' dish, we ordered a selection from the menu. Some unusual things - wild mushrooms, feta and doughnuts (yes, doughnuts, but a more savoury type) and wood fire focaccia with apple butter, yum! Tried the marinated olives, duck pastrami, beef cheek fritters, bbq pork belly, asparagus slaw and saffron tortellini (there were three of us!). All really good and worth trying. We also ordered two desserts and have to be honest, they are not up to the same standard as the rest of the menu. Dessert warning aside, you should go here.

Yelp
Went for Sunday brunch, which can always be a challenge at any good cafe or restaurant but we were happy to wait at the bar with a coffee and it wasn't long before we were seated. Coffee was good and so was the food. I was about hungry and forgot to photograph it, so guess I'll be going back. The place was packed but I think what looked like sound baffles on the ceiling, meant it wasn't too noisy. The service was really good until after we finished our meals and sat chatting waiting to order more coffee but no one came. We also felt like something sweet to have with said un-ordered coffees but there wasn't anything, perhaps just that addition would bump them up a star. Definitely going back.

Yelp
Seriously impressive food! We had the Wild Mushrooms, Pork Belly, Handcut chips and Lamb shoulder - all of it was excellent. The mushroom were incredible! Most of the dishes are reasonably priced and service was excellent. We only had to wait ~7 minutes per dish. However lighting is a little on the dim side. Definitely returning soon.

Yelp
Odettes is definitely my favourite spot for brunch in Auckland - offering great food, coffee and a relaxed atmosphere. The staff have always been very friendly and helpful. The Odettes complete is a must when dining in for brunch.

Yelp
Odettes was one of the great joys of my NZ experience. I will never forget Sheree, Poi and Manu, they were always so welcoming and wonderful. The food is absolutely delicious. I mainly ate breakfast there and loved their elegant coffees, and unique dishes like the Odettes Complete and Matcha Brioche. If you're in Auckland don't miss this place, it was certainly an instant favorite for me.

Yelp
I went to Odettes for the first time for brunch last weekend and I can't wait to go back. I had heard Odettes was popular so we decided to meet at 9.30am but even then it was an hour wait! We opted to eat outside as it wasn't THAT cold and they did have heaters but luckily for us a small table opened up. There were a couple of large groups (10+) so I've filed it away as a good place for large brunch groups. The brunch menu was different and exciting and I was torn between a few dishes. I finally decided on the Merguez Sausage (Eggplant Chutney, Harissa, Spiced Crepe, Poached Egg) and my dining companions the Heirloom Tomato ( Il Casaro Burrata, Israeli Couscous, Saffron & Rose Vinaigrette), Spinach Scrambled Eggs ( Persian Feta, Eggplant Rouille, Bacon on Grilled Ciabatta) and Wild Mushrooms (Whipped Persian Feta, Donuts, Basil). I was extremely happy with my choice and yet at the same time envious of the wild mushrooms. The merguez sausage was a big crepe folded over into a stack with a delicious, spicy sausage inside, eggplant chutney and a poached egg on top and spicy tomato sauce on the side. The dish was so full of flavour and not like anything else I had before for brunch. The wild mushroms were a range of fried mushrooms served with savoury donuts (ya-huh!) and the most amazing whipped persian feta. I didn't try the spinach scrambled eggs but it got good feedback. The heirloom tomatoes was the only dish that didn't recieve rave reviews from the table. Maybe because it was a cold summery dish ordered on a cold wintry day it just didn't go down as well. The saffron and rose vinaigrette was very acidic and overpowered all of the other flavours in the dish. I'm already fighting an internal dilemma about what to order next time the Foul Medammes and the Pork Hock Rillettes both sound amazing too.
