The Best Restaurants and Bars in Portland’s Foster-Powell | Eater Portland

"Brunch standards go vegan and vegetarian at this laidback restaurant which is the second coming of East Burnside’s A.N.D Cafe. The Blue Plate is a hearty breakfast that includes Off The Griddle’s crispy-edged house-made sausage, hash browns, a biscuit smothered in country gravy, and your choice of eggs or herb tofu scramble. For some hair of the dog, Off The Griddle’s standard bloody mary can be boosted with house-infused vodkas in flavors like spicy (jalapeno), gazpacho (cucumber, bell pepper, garlic), or Bangkok (Thai basil and ginger)." - Nathan Williams

Portland’s Hottest Spots for Vegan Brunch Right Now | Eater Portland

"Even though Off The Griddle began as a veggie burger food cart, the wide variety of brunch plates — from jackfruit brisket hash to mushroom stuffed waffles to brunch wrap supreme — are what draws Portland vegans to the cheery cafe. Vegans can opt for fluffy herbed tofu on traditionally egg-focused dishes, such as the walnut meatloaf Benedict. There are several vegan beverages like bloody marys, Arnold Palmers, and kimosas (half kombucha, half juice). Available for dine in and online ordering, brunch runs from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily." - Waz Wu

Google
As a family we do not eat onions and garlic and this restaurant did an Amazing job of catering to our dietary requirements and making everything so flavorful! Highly recommend this place. Left with a happy belly.

Google
ATTENTION NON-VEGAN FOLKS… Give this place a try!!!!! Had a vegan friend from out of state visiting and she said this was some of the best vegan food she had while visiting us in Oregon. I’m dairy-free so it all worked well for me and I tried tofu scramble inside my burrito for the very first time ever which made me nervous but it reminded me exactly of real scrambled eggs. No issues. Great food! Confident I’ll be able to bring my meat eating fiancé here and I’m sure even he’d like it. Our waffle was great too.

Mike

Google
Incredible food! This place is awesome. The Nashville Hot and Brisket sandwiches were absolutely amazing. I’m blown away by how crispy, flavorful, and meat-like everything was. We’ll definitely be back!

Google
Fun, casual atmosphere, friendly staff, with delicious diner style food. Great portions- fresh off of the griddle and flavorful. Awesome vegan friendly brunch spot.

Google
Do yourself a favor and just go here. You don't need to waste time thinking about it. It can be incredibly difficult to eat out as a vegan whose also GF. As a family, we shared chick'n and Waffles, tempeh bacon, tofu scramble, Biscuit and gravy, hashbrowns, and I believe their house made sausage (not sure, but delicious). Husband liked the sausage best, then it's a toss up between the chik'n and tempeh bacon. Kids normally prefer waffles, fruit, and hashbrowns, but they also loved the tofu scramble and the sausage. Also, server was super patient and kind. Run here now.

Google
I think I may have to try some other things on the menu, but the waffle was a little sad (maybe gluten free? which frankly is silly, maybe have 2 waffle makers back there). A vegan waffle doesn't have to be so grainy and meh. But the everything bowl (not remembering what it was called, will edit if I do/go look at it on the menu) I had was pretty good.

LaShell B

Google
Omg if you are in doubt try it out!!!! Our first time there and it Michelle our server was AMAZING! Her recommendations were the best. The mushroom melt waffle and brisket hash was delicious and you have to order the spicy Bloody Mary level 9 outta 10. I even made a takeout order for dinner later when I get back to Walla Walla.

Shannon Russell

Google
I was happy to find this gem! Delicious vegan waffles (Berries and Cream for the win) and tofu scramble! The cinnamon roll was PHENOMENAL! But honestly, the best part was our server. They were kind and happy! They didn't assume pronouns which gave my heart joy and hope in this scary world! We were all well feed and welcome in this place. Thank you.

Yelp
Very GREAT SERVICE! nice people working the place was super clean! The food looked great! Unfortunately I'm not vegan and didn't super love the items I got but I still wanted give a shout out because for vegan people this is GREAT! I just wish they offered a little bit more diverse menu

Yelp
Off the griddle. Above the mean. Beyond the basic. Before the lunch. Call it brunch. Call it breakfast for early dinner. You just better call it before they close at 3. You have to check out this place for breakfast. Their waffles are fantastic. You can get yours with syrup, get yours with dressing, get yours with mushroom and cheddar stuffed, or berries and whipped cream on top, or basic banana and more. All vegan all the time, and yet for those who are vegan challenged, you can get dairy cheese or fresh egg substitutes. It's fun for the whole family. Take grandma. If you love tempeh, get the bacon. You love hash-browns? Honey, that is my weak spot, and they are miraculously very good. That's hard to do. I expected a dry waffle. No syrup. Just some dressing. And wow, moist is not a word I like to use often, but there it is. Great outdoor seating. Great indoor seating. Just get your great seat over there and have some good food, fresh off the griddle. P.S. I took a nibble of their biscuit and gravy. I'm not a big fan of B&G but I know good when I have it. The biscuit was tasty and not too dense. The gravy? Have grandma's instead, ok? That came off a frying pan and it could've stayed.

Yelp
Ordered the full mess and grapefruit mimosa. The kitchen staff are quick. It took less than 10 minutes for our food to come out fresh. The full mess was loaded with gravy on top of hash brow, but I felt like it made the hash brow soggy which was disappointed. The biscuit was yummy. Not dry. The restaurant was super busy on a Sunday brunch, but the playlist was rad. Attentive staff.
google avatar

jennifer j.

Yelp
Absolutely delicious!!! Got the Full Mess and boy was I happy with my choice. The biscuit was luxurious, as good as any I've ever had. It all went together beautifully. Service was very nice and the vibe was very pleasant. Sadly we don't live in the area and were just visiting. I wish we had something this good where I live.

Yelp
I haven't been to many vegan brunch spots, but if you are craving a heavy, southern-style/American breakfast, this may be the perfect spot for you. They have both indoor and outdoor seating, but the inside is very cute and gives off the vibe of a Southern home. Their menu is pretty vast, with both sweet and savory options. They have items ranging from waffles, mac n' cheese, burritos, wraps, all with different protein options. I saw someone sitting near me and their wrap so amazing, so I ordered one for myself too. Their food is SO good, and very flavorful. Overall though, it wouldn't be my favorite brunch place as their items tend to be really heavy for a first meal (LOTS of protein, sauce, big portions)--but! that is something totally up to my own preference. The food is amazing and I think it gives vegans (and non-vegans) a great choice!
google avatar

Christina W.

Yelp
Unique waffles. Easy to customize. From my understanding, everything was vegan. We asked to be seated inside but there was a wait. Opted for outdoor to-go ordering. Ordered two plain waffles with butter and syrup and a berries and cream. Lemonades and sodas. Total: $60.xx before gratuity The plain waffles were blue. Very interesting color for a waffle. I would describe it as a fluffy but dense waffle. It wasn't my favorite but it was ok. I appreciated that everything was vegan. The berries and cream waffle was a lot more delicious. The cream on it didn't taste vegan but it was great. Service was subpar. Might go back if we can get some indoor seating.
google avatar

Tara B.

Yelp
Great spot for vegan and gluten free food! If they didn't tell you I doubt you would even know it was gluten free or vegan. My daughter devoured her waffle with berries and didn't even comment on the taste or texture of the gluten free vegan waffle. My Feast Waffle was very taste with a little hot sauce. The eggs definitely helped with the dryer texture of the gluten free waffles. I would stop again if hungry and in the area. We sat outside as the music inside was so loud our group didn't think we could chat over lunch. The outdoor seating was picnic tables but very clean and added an upscale picnic/camp feel to eating waffles for lunch. The staff was friendly and efficient without being constantly at our elbow checking on us. Our table water was kept full as we lingered over our food.

Yelp
All vegan restaurant with loads of sweet and savory options. We came here for brunch on Saturday and had to wait for about 15 min to get seated. The service itself is pretty quick but finding a table could take some time We ordered the waffles and hastastic for main course and the drumstix and the side of tempeh The Berry waffle is the best of all here ! The drimstix in my opinion are an acquired taste. Didn't like the first one very much but the later didn't feel that bad Overall great place for waffles and has decent coffee.
google avatar

Ivan K.

Yelp
The ranch wrap is my favorite - it has the crunch and it's always fresh and crispy. Tempeh is a healthy option and I appreciate using the organic ingredients (wrap). We go there every week! They're always super friendly and nice. The fries have changed recently and weren't the way we like it but still were fresh and crispy! Would recommend this place to everyone :)
google avatar

Sarah J.

Yelp
Found this spot after our first idea fell through and really happy we did! Bright open clean dinner. Indoor and outdoor seating. Friendly servers, food came out quick and large filling portions. All vegan menu with vegetarian add ons available, would visit again when in town exploring Portland
google avatar

Margaret C.

Yelp
The tempeh "bacon" wrap was delicious! It was crispy unlike other places I've tried. It comes with either a salad or fries - we got the fries and they were perfect and hot. We'll definitely be back. Also they're friendly and made sure I was taken care of. Oh, and I appreciated that they used organic tortilla it's rare to find :)

Yelp
Went here with my work team to celebrate someone's new job. Off The Griddle has a nice ambiance. They also had plenty of space for our large group. The waitstaff was friendly and patient. All food served was Vegan. I'm not a Vegan but have had better Vegan food that I enjoyed better than what was served here. The food was okay overall, just nothing I'd rush back for. Pictures show what I ordered. I ordered the Brisket Hash and 1/2 Biscuits and Gravy. I did not like the Kale on the Biscuits and Gravy. The Hash was decent.
google avatar

Elaine M.

Yelp
Great people working here. The waffle with banana & hazelnut was delicious, not too sweet, the maple syrup made it just right . Also tried the biscuits & gravy, really savory yummy.
google avatar

Maria A.

Yelp
It's been well over 4 years since I've eaten here so I completely forgot what it was all about; glad I came back! I think the last time I was here they didn't serve eggs or dairy but they do now. I like that it's an option b/c sometimes you want to bring someone here who is not quite as enthusiastic about vegan food but you still want to eat here with them! That said, the tofu scram is really good & it's ok if you don't eat eggs for one bfast! Lots of different classic brunch options to choose from! Our table of 4 enjoyed everything we ordered & the staff were very attentive. Haven't tried any of the lunch options but we'll def be back!
google avatar

Amayah E.

Yelp
This was such a lovely establishment! I truly enjoyed dining here and experiencing it. The service was amazing, the food was amazing, and the ambiance was amazing! This place checked off all the boxes for where you would want to dine and give your food to! The goddess bowl tasted so fresh and delicious.
google avatar

Eric P.

Yelp
This place honestly rules. I got the full mess and everything was cooked perfectly and had great flavors. The service here is also fantastic. Not only were we checked on consistently but the servers are just overall super nice. They have a nice outdoor seating area that is covered (which was great because it was raining when I went this weekend) and a moderately sized indoor area. If you're in the area and want a great eating experience this is the play.
google avatar

Jasmine H.

Yelp
Vegan approved! We sat outside and parked on the street. They do have indoor seating fyi. The waiters bring you a carafe of water and take your order when you're ready. It's def a chill spot with great brunch options. There are a lot of vegan choices which is something that is much appreciated.
google avatar

Ali L.

Yelp
Wow. Yum! Highly recommend the drumsticks! The buffalo mac was pretty good as well. My husband loved the reuben. I thought the waffle was just okay. We returned for more of the drumsticks a couple of days after our first visit! I definitely recommend checking this out. There was plenty of seating when we arrived at the time they opened, however it does fill up fast for weekend breakfast/brunch. They have outdoor seating as well, and it was fun to visit with the dogs other customers brought. The staff was lovely! We will definitely be back next time we are in town.

Rafael V.

Yelp
Above and beyond all around! Chef's kiss . Food is so good, presented well, looks like the pictures and taste even better.
google avatar

James S.

Yelp
The staff was very friendly and responsive. The waiter immediately greeted us and took our order while miraculously managing to wait all the other tables and check on other patrons. I personally am not a fan of "fake meat", I'd rather have no meat than "fake meat", so I consulted the waiter about this prior to ordering a chorizo burrito. He mentioned they could use eggs instead of the tofu, which I opted to do even though I do generally like tofu because I felt that tofu plus vegan chorizo might be too much of a stretch for me. I will say, this was actually the first vegan place I've liked! Another plus is that they have two bathrooms for a restaurant this size, though the one I used was not handicap accessible.
google avatar

Mara K.

Yelp
I first ordered a BLT to my air bnb, and it was SO good. I decided to go in the next day. I got a vegan breakfast and the Tempeh? I wanted to just keep eating it.. it was really satisfying.. this place is going to be a regular
google avatar

Lisa B.

Yelp
Such deliciousness! The food was special. Not typical vegan fare. We had chikn waffles, brisket hash and a full mess. The service was amazing with a cheerful, friendly and genuine server who made all great recommendations. Lucky to be there in a weekday morning because no crowd/
google avatar

Carl M.

Yelp
This spot was recommended to me by the front desk at Kex Hotel and Im so glad it was! Its hard to find spots that are both GF and Vegan and still be tasty and not overly processed. Michelle was patient with me as she helped me choose 2 plates.. I couldn't make up my mind so I just got them both! The breakfast burrito as a hash and the chicken & waffles with mushroom gravy. They were both so good! I'll bring my friends next time I come into town for a visit!!
google avatar

Avery J.

Yelp
all-vegan brunch/lunch with lots of other allergen friendly options like soy free and gluten free. i am not vegan, so i was a little doubtful on how much i would enjoy a vegan/gluten free waffle, but it was delicious - highly recommend!
google avatar

Ambra W.

Yelp
Wow. This place is something else in the best way. Came with my family and the ONLY reason I haven't come back yet is because the line wrapped around the building and the wait was about an hour. It was worth it though. I'll venture here to wait in line again some day. It was a Saturday morning so likely one of their busiest times. Street parking, and enough of it. When we went they had coffee and coloring books out front for people waiting. I thought that was a nice touch. Their ingredients are vegan (but doesn't taste weird), natural, and they have gluten free options for most of their menu. There is a clean restroom and lots of seating.

Yelp
I've gotta say OTG doesn't let you down. EVERYTHING is consistently good. I forced myself to try something new today and that was the Full Helping. Creamy, cheesy sauce on top of a perfectly seasoned tofu scramble. Hash browns and a crispy delicious sausage patty. Add some spinach and fresh diced tomatoes and you're set. I'm not going to lie, the biscuits are a hard pass for me. But that's a personal preference and I'd rather have toast. My son got the Chk'n Waffles and it's a huge waffle, and a pretty big chunk of Chk'n. I was his designated "food slicer," so I had the obligatory bite of a piece of waffle and a piece of Chk'n. I'll happily say that this is THE best waffle in Portland. That's right. I said it. Amazing. My son, and his tiny six year old belly would also insist that they're the best waffles he's ever had. He didn't just love the waffles though, he loved that Chk'n too! He ate the entire plate!!! And I'll add the Chk'n was excellent. My daughter had the nacho fries, and they were packed with flavor. For me personally, I didn't like that they weren't packed with texture. I don't like just "soft" for my food. Give me creamy and crunchy. Not a bowl of soft. They were good but I'd never order them for lack of texture. My husband had the Blue Plate, which was only different to mine in that he had gravy with his biscuit. The gravy was a hard pass for me too. This was something I remember about OTG, as being from the South, sausage gravy and biscuits doesn't taste anything like this. But this gravy was straight up wrong today. Yes, I'm still giving it a 5 star because it's consistently good. I may not like all the options, but I don't have to eat them either. And everyone IN our family loved what they ate. So this gravy was HEAVY on Thyme. Like someone accidentally dropped the spice jar in and thought it would be okay. NO. No it wasn't. I don't want to finish on a negative so let me say I still and will always love OTG. I love what I've had and I'll be back!
google avatar

Danielle D.

Yelp
I have loved everything we've eaten here. We usually sit outside so our pups can join. Delicious hearty food that is unpretentious and can satisfy omnivores.
google avatar

Sara S.

Yelp
Came here this weekend and had a great experience! Very friendly and fast staff, great food and a nice patio on warm mornings. Definitely coming back to try more items
google avatar

Ploy N.

Yelp
Don't have much experience with Vegan brunch places so wasn't sure what to expect but was pretty curious to give it a try and it definitely was a fun time. Seated outside, which was from time to time a little loud from the traffic on the main road, on a rainy Saturday but they have indoor seatings too. The staff helping us was very friendly and helpful. Lots of familiar items on their menu with a vegetarian/vegan twist. Their Feast Waffle was indeed a feast. A full size GF waffle stuffed with hashbrowns, giving a little crunch in some bites, smothered with country gravy and over-medium eggs. You can ask for egg and dairy cheese in place of tofu scramble and vegan cheese. I really enjoyed the gravy, flavorful and creamy but not overwhelmingly heavy. Found bits of mushroom in the gravy which was a nice addition. The eggs were perfectly cooked, oozy and gooey. The texture of the waffle was chewy rather than light and crispy but it did have a good flavor. All in all, an interesting and filling dish. Tried some of my friends' Meatloaf Sandwich and Nashville Hot as well. The Walnut Meatloaf had a good texture and seasoning, same with the Nashville Hot "Chicken". I'd give the Nashville Hot Sandwich a try next time. The food wasn't mindblowingly good but it did make for a fun experience.

Yelp
This was my first time tying off the griddle. I tired the chorizo breakfast burrito and cinnamon roll, they were both great! The cinnamon roll wasn't too sweet which I liked!
google avatar

Briana M.

Yelp
So venturing around looking for a new spot to eat and me and the hubs find off the griddle. To start the parking situation is not the greatest. There's a few spots out front and street parking on the next street over, but there's other businesses near so all are shared. Side note: This comes off as a part of Portland that either is up and coming or down and going. Just be mindful, take your valuables out your car, etc. When you walk up there's a pick-up window outdoors if you're doing to-go. Benches with heaters out front to eat outside. There's limited seating inside as well. The restaurant is decorated with some cool artwork that looks like you can purchase. There's plenty on the menu. I went for the blue plate. OTG sausage, hash browns, scrambled eggs and gluten free biscuit & gravy. The food maybe 2 stars? The waiter was quick and nice he bumps this up to a 3. The hash browns was your ordinary hash, nothing special. The "sausage" I wasn't a fan of the flavor nor texture. The eggs were good, especially with the hot sauce on the table. The gluten free biscuit was sooo chewy :( the biscuit definitely brought the entire dish down. I know taking out gluten changes the textures sometimes, but never had an gluten free item like this. The recipe def. Needs to be tweaked a bit. Overall, a cool spot to try especially if you have dietary preferences/restrictions. I don't think I'd return, but glad I tried them out once.
google avatar

Gabrielle B.

Yelp
Really good breakfast with mostly vegan and vegetarian options (yay!). I got the blue plate with eggs, vegan sausage and no biscuit and gravy but substitutes toast and jam. The hashbrowns were my favorite! Excellent combination of crispy and soft and great flavor, esp with some chulula. The eggs were wonderfully fluffy and the vegan sausage patty had something unique about it, which I think was anise seed (?). Whatever it was, I loved it! I'm kind of a jam freak and the jam wasn't my favorite. I think it was strawberry but nothing really special about it, tbh. All of the menu items were really unique and one item was a veggie version of the Taco Bell crunch wrap supreme, so if you like that you should try this one! The restaurant is small and cute with inside and outside options and they don't require vaccination to sit inside. I really liked the hand chair and got to sit in it lol. It was really supportive. Our server was a nice guy named Wendell who was AWESOME! Super sweet and friendly and he had excellent timing with taking the orders, checking in and payment. He even offered to separate out groups checks which was so helpful.
google avatar

Chris T.

Yelp
Plenty of food to fill me up on a cold morning, but as vegan breakfasts go, this was pretty underwhelming. Everything (from vegan eggs to vegan sausage) sort of came across in the same basic taste and texture. Just not a very diverse or sumptuous menu. The staff was very friendly and attentive, however.
google avatar

Cheyenne S.

Yelp
My cousin and I came here for breakfast during a day trip to Portland, I, myself am vegan, she is not and she was genuinely impressed with the food she ordered (she got the chicken and waffles) I got the blue plate. She was so happy with her order that she was raving about it all day, and then proceeded to tell everyone about it when we got back to Seattle. The blue plate was delicious, just very savory, I think next time I will also go with what she ordered. One bite had me hooked. The food is SPECTACULAR and the employees make your experience even better. 10/10

Keerat S.

Yelp
Great vegan food and excellent service! The Nashville burger was AMAZING! The bunch wrap supreme was good but their sauce inside is not good. The nacho fries were bomb! Overall customer service and vibes were great!

Jess G.

Yelp
Management, please! For the love of all that is holy please add a side option for the chicken that comes with the waffle for delivery. I'd order 19 ever time if I could! So good!

Someone K.

Yelp
I came here with my friend just to pick something up to go before I went home. I'm vegan, she's not. When we ordered, the person taking our order was kind of impatient and dismissive, which totally would've been fine with if they hadn't mixed up our orders. I got tofu, she got eggs. the boxes came unlabeled, but we got different sides. I just ate some of a burrito with normal eggs in it because it was in the box with the side I ordered. I'm very lucky to not have any allergies, but I genuinely could not tell the difference between the two, especially not before biting into it. I just feel like if you're going to call yourself a vegan restaurant you should make things more clear, and choosing eggs or dairy should have to be specified versus the opposite. I don't think I should have to specify that I'm vegan at a supposedly vegan restaurant, when ordering a vegan dish. I hope I don't get sick, and I feel disappointed. I don't enjoy leaving bad reviews, but being vegan is important to me and i have been for years, I'm genuinely just sad.
google avatar

Rob M.

Yelp
Good breakfast at a decent price. Try the chicken and waffles, for sure. It IS vegetarian, so dont expect steak, but the substitutes taste good! They also have gluten free options which is a plus!
google avatar

Bree L.

Yelp
This place was truly disappointing. We tried the Chikn and waffle, mushroom melt waffle, and the blue plate with tofu scramble. The waffles were bland and soft. The vegan "meats" left much to be desired. Honestly just not seasoned well overall. Great and friendly service. Lots of gluten free options if needed.
google avatar

Kimberly S.

Yelp
The staff here is super friendly and the food was delicious. I got the brisket hash which I give a 7/10, and my brother got the biscuits and gravy which he said he enjoyed. As far as vegan places this one is definitely worth a trip if you're looking for a good sit down vegan breakfast.
google avatar

Jacob B.

Yelp
First breakfast stop; we couldn't ask for better! You know I gotta go with classic B&G anytime I can! First off, excellent customer service, super friendly & the dining experience was fantastic! We got: -Biscuits & Gravy -Side of Seitan -Mushroom Melt Waffle - yes, you read that correctly. We've never had anything like this; it WAS AMAZING!! -& A rice crispy treat to go! Yum! 100% recommend Off the Griddle COVID Notes -Indoor & Outdoor seating is available. -Social distance & masks were requested. Staff wore masks. -Customer service was delightful, safe, and helpful -Ordering was effortless & smooth -No issues at all. Thank you, Off the Griddle, for the delicious Vegan Options!

Yelp
Whoa... totally worth the wait. I came here on a Sunday with my cousin and my 2 kids. We waited 1 hr but seriously worth the wait. Everyone there from the hostess and waiter were incredibly friendly and helpful. I was worried my kids would get restless but they didn't, the atmosphere was comfortable and warm. After ordering a blue plate, full mess, kids waffle and biscuit the waiter told us it would take 30 minutes (still worth the wait). Our drinks came out quickly (Bloody Mary and a mimosa) very tasty. I definitely recommend, I dreamt of this place the very next day!

Patrick J.

Yelp
Super good I'm all about vegan breakfast/lunch and even option to add egg to deveganize a dish.
google avatar

Yuni C.

Yelp
Been wanting to come here and was met with such great servers from the beginning. They were attentive to our preferred seating and checked up on us to make sure food tasted great. I ordered the chorizo burrito and loved every bite of it! I will say, the fries were over seasoned, a tad bit too salty, but still delicious. They have some of the best GF/Vegan options I've been to yet.

Mike B.

Yelp
Fantastic spot. Great food. Excellent service. Nice outdoor seating. Looking forward to my next visit!

Scarlet P.

Yelp
My family and I came here for brunch and it was so good. The food was insanely good and everything was plant based. I remember it being quite busy but that's totally understandable. The service was prompt and it was a nice vibe inside. It was a standard plant based restaurant price point which is a lil pricey but worth it and made with care. I definitely want to go back again!

Wheatnikk P.

Yelp
I came here for my first time during my visit to Portland. I got the blue plate and it was amazing!! The sausage, hash browns, tofu scramble, and biscuits and gravy were all so good!!
google avatar

Kylie C.

Yelp
This place is super cute, inside and out! The staff were also really chill and friendly; not being a local, we got some great travel advice from our server, I really liked her! The food was delicious! We got everything vegan. We ordered the blue plate, and the jackfruit sandwich. The fries were super thin, soft but crunchy, with tasty seasoning. The pickled jackfruit sandwich was delicious, especially with the aioli on it. The blue plate had a variety of great flavors that really complimented each other! Next time I'm in Portland, I would love to return here for breakfast.

Yelp
As far as Customer Service goes I'd say this place is top notch and the wait staff were on point, constantly courteous and engaged, I was approached by all three of them and they were always kind, none were rude to me, I even tested them by pushing the limits a little bit, they responded exuberantly, the dining experience was lively and happening, and finally a most impressive kitchen staff as the winning experience for three separate entities, these badass mfs worked like a well oiled machine in a tightly spaced kitchen, all quietly communicating and sending out dishes with no problems, and a full dining room all grinning and glowing with passion for their work. The beef brisket was one of a kind, food critics can kiss my ass, it was refreshingly fiery and perfectly balanced with homemade pickles and onions, the fries were perfect, crispy and crunchy, and mashed potatoes at heart, I'd recommend a sweet finish, like some freshly baked nuts roasted with honey, truly a train hoppers paradise. Throw in some milkshakes and me yelling at a Mcfly , and you've got a full on back to the future experience. If you want to keep this place going, order and pick up, they can handle it. Off the griddle gets a my full support

Yelp
New to the neighborhood & saw this cute little spot full of people, so my partner & I decided to give it a try! Lovely server, beautiful art, very welcoming, & obviously the food was delicious even for someone that's new to vegan dishes! Very much recommend it for everyone. :)
