I want to love this place. Local beer? Awesome! The beer is great! I would recommend you try the reds for sure if you come here. The menu is not accurate to what are on them items received. Many items on the menu will come with ingredients not stated. Be warned for all food allergy concerns. The fries come with cheese which is not listed on the menu. Enjoy if you can!

A couple pints and some finger foods ... all of it was pretty good. In particular, the mushroom empanadas were very tasty. The chicken wings were also good but they are basted in that thick, sticky, sweet sauce, so you gotta like that. Fried calamari was light and fluffy. Beers on tap of several varieties. Service was fast to start, but we ordered the calamari in the "second batch" and they took 20+ minutes. Not cool. But this has a real brew pub atmosphere and there are games on the tv's. Pretty cool hangout spot.

They have brunch in the summer and early fall! We just went with our kids. It was super delicious and wonderful fast service. My kids are notoriously picky, light eaters but they ate so much-everything we ordered was great, but we especially loved the oat flour pancakes and fried chicken (so crispy and light) and the potatoes and omelette. We will definitely be back!

Google
Great happy hour prices! Can't go wrong with a Moscow Mule or a Margarita from here. The drinks aren't overly sweet and they don't skimp on the alcohol either. Food portions are pretty big here! Like... impressively big - at least from looking at other orders of nachos and fries. I got the Buffalo Chicken Wings, which were pretty good! Not too heavy on the vinegar, but they were spicy! Very saucy as well.

Google
It was a pretty big location and in an excellent spot. The beer menu wasn't super large, but it did have a bunch of style options. I ordered their Hazy IPA and it was fine, kinda sweet for me though I think. I'd probably go back to try some food if in the area, but wouldn't make it a destination trip.

Google
Here for trivia. We ordered starters: pretzel bites and onion rings. Do NOT order the pretzel bites, it comes with 6 tiny bites for $10. The onion rings were good

Came by around 7:30PM on a Wednesday evening. Inside and outside seating, maybe half full (me being generous, could have very well been a third full). Two of us ordered: -lazy hazy $9 pints -brewers burgers $18 -fried chicken sandwich $17 We sat at the bar. Beer was a bit flat to me. Server was nonexistent. After 30 min or so, our server came by and apologized for the wait and food was on the way soon...another 30 min (an hour now). We realized food still wasn't here...I had to call for the server since she was non-existent...then I let her know that if the food wasn't coming within a few min, that we would just leave...she checked and sandwich was available, burger was an extra 5-7 min. Food was ok at best...wait was ridiculous and without communication is what really ruined the meal. A different person closed out my tab...and apologized for wait. I asked what the issue was and he mentioned it was short staff. If food was going to take an hour long, we would have went elsewhere. Staff should have communicated this out from the start. Person closing out the tab did take 25% off, but still not worth it at all. Parking is difficult during peak hours. Probably shouldn't have tipped...but whatever. Won't be coming back.

Happy hours are until 6pm weekdays. Platter contains garlic spicy fries, nachos and pretzel bite. Pitcher was enough to two rounds between 3 folks. Price is reasonable. There is plenty indoor and outdoor seating.

Yelp
Stopped by Off the Trails for happy hour and was really impressed! Service was fast and attentive--our servers kept checking in to make sure we had everything we needed without being overbearing. I ordered a draft West Coast IPA and an Old Fashioned off the happy hour menu--both were well made and at very reasonable prices. My friend went with the grilled chicken salad, which was fresh, flavorful, and absolutely delicious. Between the great drinks, tasty food, and friendly service, this spot is definitely worth coming back to. A solid choice for happy hour or a casual night out!

Yelp
Went here recently and it was our first time. Cool ambience and The wait staff/hostess were very friendly and attentive but the food was horrible! Ordered fish and chips, pretzel bites, lemon pepper wings, calamari and the chicken and waffles. The calamari was very salty The chicken wings were very salty The chicken tenders with the waffles were chewy as in almost undercooked! The waffle was cold and not sweet, I was given about 2 TBL of syrup and needed a lot more. The pretzel bites themselves were good but the "cheese sauce" was so runny and tasteless? My friend's fish and chips, the fish was over battered and not seasoned at all but the fries were pretty good. Very interesting. The drinks were delicious but not a place for food.

Yelp
This place shouldn't be classified as a brewery or pub. It is at best a fast food restaurant with the decor of a brewery. I'm not even convinced that they actually brew their beer in the back that you can see through the bar window. The service on a Friday night was really bad. We weren't even sure if anyone was going to take our order or if we go to the bar to order. We specifically asked for separate checks. 3 couples all sitting together. Food was mid or less. The chicken was overcooked or non existent. Margherita pizza was the best item on the menu. It was 90° almost and I ordered an iced tea while the rest of the crew ordered a round of various drinks. Mixed, brews and such. When the drinks came, the iced tea was the only thing that never came. They were pouring it apparently. Came as regular unsweetened black brewed tea. Ice stacked to the top. I drank it then needed to go back to the bar to get a refill because server never came back for drinks again. When we were coming to the end of our plates the "runner" , came and shoved her way to get the plates. Was rude and acted inconvenienced when we stacked everything together. Waited for 45-60 minutes after our plates were taken before one of us got up to figure out when we would be given a check. The original server came over and asked us how we would be splitting the check. Then asked us each what we ordered again. We ordered a salad, pizza , one mixed drink and an iced tea. That's when I noticed 3 charges for iced tea. The iced was with the "Soft drink" listed in the same line as an option . When asked, the server said oh yea we charge for that. So the total was $82 with a mandatory tip. One of the other couples got charged an extra $4 for chicken on a salad they never asked for and never received. We should have gone to a different place. Overall this place was a huge disappointment. Go to Gumbas, Fashion Wok , or Emelina's.

Yelp
Came here to kill some time before going into a Muay Thai event at Pure and ordered a sour. They only had one seasonal sour which was pineapple flavored. I actually liked this sour as it wasn't too tart, but has a little fruitiness and sweetness to it. This brewery is pretty spacious and has two stories. Not much of a menu, but would try the food next time.

Yelp
A brewery should have beers! We were definitely disappointed during our visit to find that only 5 out of 14 beers were available due to an issue with their refrigerator. We entered through the back door of the restaurant and noticed a strange, dingy odor. After walking around for a bit with no staff in sight, we decided to seat ourselves at a table. Eventually, a server came by to assist us. Julio was friendly and provided good service. Since we visited during Sunnyvale Restaurant Week, we tried their $13 burger-and-beer deal. To our surprise, the Western BBQ Burger was excellent, very flavorful, with delicious BBQ sauce. Not sure if we'll be back.

Yelp
Quality/Quantity - Sadly my last few visits here have NOT been positive. I can understand your 3.7 stars and dropping... Finished my chores early, and dinner was not for a few hours, so why not support another local business, brewery. Plus it was happy hour. Got a pint of Frostbound and Trappist Red. HH prices - $6 a beer; yet the Red Clover is only $5... Might be a reason for that, as I still chose the more expensive beers. Atmosphere - Fairly large location. 2 stories. Indoor and outdoor seating. Huge patio in the rear of the building. Garage parking across the street. Events; see website and/or pictures. St. Paddy's weekend celebrations also; see pictures. Open 7 days a week. Back in the day, this place used to be crazy busy, especially on weekends on nice warm evenings. I sure miss those days. Service - Fail (as usual). Almost NO customers, and I was the only person at the bar for the longest time. Still could not get service. And I never got my water, until I finally asked again before leaving. The "manager" was also not welcoming. No eye contact. I tried to make small talk, but that was a waste of my time. Price - $13 + more generous tip than earned or deserved. I hope it made a better day for them. Owner Comment - Congrats on your success here since 1993 as Stoddard's Brewhouse. 2005 - As Firehouse Grill and Brewery. 2019 - Off the Rails Brewing. I have been a customer with all 3 brands... But will probably take a break from your brand as there are so many good competitors nearby.

Yelp
We were looking for a place to have dinner and drinks for the folks who wanted to have either in downtown Sunnyvale, so given the number of food options and space thought it would be a good option! We were greeted quickly and got our order in, but it was interesting how some of the appetizers like fries came after the entrees. 3.5/5 Pizza Margherita was decent, had a better crust than the actual flavor. I was intrigued because they had a fire oven so thought it would be nice, but the toppings and dough lacked in quality. If you are feeling pizza it's not bad. 4/5 Penne alla Rosa was pretty good, it's a light sauce that had the pink sauce flavor you would get from a vodka sauce, except not as rich. The garlic bread was a classic garlic bread you would get at an American Italian restaurant, so paired well. The quantity was at least huge. 2.5/5 Pretzel bites were small and so few, and kind of disappointing. The sauce was different with a spicy, cheesy strong cheddar flavor, but nothing you felt like eating more of. The pretzel bites were really dry. 4/5 Cajun Garlic Fries looked super inticing, especially because it's the best of both worlds. The garlic was pretty cooked and dark brown, which actually took away from the flavor of the garlic itself. I could only taste the Cajun, so took away from the appeal. The hours are early so we were being told to leave mid bite while they were cleaning up at 10pm. But I guess that's downtown Sunnyvale for you, however it would have been nice if for a beer restaurant that they stayed open later.

Yelp
OTR is a great place for groups. We were able to order and pay for our meals separately. I opted for the fish and chips. It was just okay. They had a great selection of beers and well-made cocktails. They use cubed ice for certain drinks (A++). We all came here because it was conveniently located near Pure. Otherwise, we probably wouldn't have stopped by.

Yelp
Sorry for low rating but do not recommend this place at all. Went for Thursday night trivia and there were about 50-70 people upstairs playing with one server who could never be found. I understand he had a ton of tables but the restaurant needs to staff more appropriately. Separately the price to portion left alot to be desired. The pretzel bites are around $10-12 I believe and it came out with FIVE which shakes out to $2-2.5 per bite. Ridiculous. Just go for beers, don't eat here. Or just go in with low expectations

Yelp
I came here to Off The Rails Brewing for HH with some coworkers. Lively place. Though they had loud house music playing so it was hard to carry on a conversation. They have trivia nights on Wed and Thursday, I think. They offer inside and outside patio seating. In addition, to a back area seating and 2nd story seating. The parking is hard because there is very little street parking. They mostly have parking lot parking but since it is a very popular area full of restaurants and businesses. It can be hard during peak hours. It's always packed. Some coworkers said they had to circle around 2-3 times in other parking lots before finally finding a space. Typical bar food, like sandwiches, or fried appetizers. It was hard to take pics as the food was passed around, and nobody was going to wait for my pics. LOL. *Chicken Wings: served with ranch, and choice of house Buffalo, Bourbon bbq sauce, lemon pepper dry rub. The table had house buffalo and lemon pepper dry rub. Unfortunately, I didn't get to try them or get a picture. *Fried Risotto Balls: fried balls of risotto, mushrooms, parmesan cheese, served with cheese sauce. Unfortunately, same as they were gobbled up before I could snap a pic or get one. *Onion Rings: beer battered onion rings & ranch (4/5). Good and nicely fried. *Fried Calamari: breaded and fried calamari & chipotle aioli (4/5). - nicely fried and not oily. Both tentacles and the tubes/body. *Cashew Chicken: Asian style chicken bites, roasted cashews, & broccoli tossed in a tangy spicy sauce, tossed with sesame seeds (4/5). This was pretty good. I'd get this again. *Mushroom Empanadas: Marinated mushrooms, cheese, truffle oil, served with tangy cilantro sauce (3/5). There is no pic, but i got to try this. It was good, rich, & flavorful. *Margherita Pizza: Fresh tomatoes, cheese, garlic, fresh basil, and extra virgin olive oil (3.5/5). *Bacon Brussel Sprouts: roasted brussel sprouts & bacon bits tossed in lemon vinaigrette & balsamic reduction (4/5). I liked it, though I wish it was charred or blistered more. But the bacon bits were housemade and big pieces or bacon. It was good! I wanted to try their Raspberry Sour or Mango Sour, but they were out. Bummer. I went for the Kolsch: cologne style ale 5% (4/5). I enjoyed this, and it was smooth and didn't have that sharp, bitter taste. My coworkers didn't care for it because he likes his beer "crisp with that sharp bite." They do have a good selection of food and drinks.

Yelp
Was nearly empty on a Wednesday lunch hour, which was fine by me as we were seated immediately and it was quiet. Many beers from which to choose, I had the Otis stout. Hubby had a glass of Pinot Noir and quickly learned to stick to beer at a brewery. Our table ordered calamari, pretzel bites, mushroom empanadas, fish and chips and shrimp beet salad. Everyone enjoyed the food, generous serving size as well. There is a large seating area upstairs that can be reserved for events.

Yelp
Went in on a Saturday night and it was completely empty. Literally not another person seated. It was a strange experience. I tried a burger and split a pitcher with a friend. The beer was not cold and the cups weren't chilled, so that was just a bad experience. They probably need to clean the lines to get colder beer. The burger was fine, but not worth the price or worth going back for. I did see a sampler that looked like a good deal and I would go back for that and to see if I just got unlucky on the night I went.

Yelp
Attended an event here this past Saturday, "Evening of Illusion: A Night of Magic & Mischief" a show combining magic and comedy. Had a couple cocktails during my time here, the caribbean fusion and strawberry vodka lemonade (both drinks were delicious but weak in alcohol). The service at the downstairs bar was a bit lacking and inattentive. And there was no bar available on the second level, which seemed a little inconvenient since events take place upstairs. You wouldn't know that though, walking in here, as there were no signs for the event or any kind of instructions at all. We were confused when we walked up the stairs to see a chess competition taking place. But as we surveyed the room, we found a little door at the corner leading to a small dark and stuffy room for the show, seriously they crammed us in there like sardines (stuffed a bunch of chairs in what looked like a storage space of some sort). They couldn't even put on dim lights or decorative lighting so that people wouldn't bump into each other once it got dark outside (nor lights during intermission), and the ceiling fans were not in use even though people were sweating up a storm (not us though cuz we sat next to an open window, thank goodness). On top of that, sound and viewing was terrible, the mic only working half the time and with distorted sound, and they started about 30 minutes late (one hour after listed ticket time) and ended one hour later as well. If they aren't going to have better seating arrangements, they should probably tell the entertainers to lift up higher what they're showing the audience so that those in the back can see. That being said, the show was kinda funny, and the "magic" was entertaining enough, so it wasn't all bad. But the poor planning and organization for everything makes it hard for me to give anything more than 2 stars (I think people potentially attending events here should be warned). Although I appreciate that they do events here, they should probably minimize to what they can actually handle and provide a good experience for. If you're coming here solely for the beer, your experience may be satisfactory, but if coming here for anything else, you may be slightly disappointed (as of April 2024) unless they decide to make significant improvements.

Yelp
Place is kinda beat. Went on a friday afternoon and barely anyone at the bar. Waited ten minutes and left since no one was interested in taking my order.

Yelp
This review was written for the Thursday trivia night 7pm, It's fun and the questions were interesting. The MC of the event changed weekly, on 5/16, the event was ~45 minutes late due to the mc was late. The trivia questions were difficult, I think even the mc had no clue unless he checked the answers. There's multiple times that he had to refer to the answer sheet and can't even pronounce the answer words correctly. The staffs were friendly and service was great, food was good too.

Yelp
Giving 5 stars for the service staff and bartenders. Very kind and friendly and the beers on tap were refreshing in this heat

Yelp
Located in downtown Sunnyvale. So parking can be h*ll especially on a Friday night. The place itself is nice and big, with and upstairs and like 3 arcade games. There's a bar downstairs and more seating. Plus more out side. The food and drinks were okay. Would def recommend the empanadas. The servers were very attentive. I will be coming back.
google avatar

Michael S.

Yelp
Headed down to Murphy street this wasn't my first choice but glad we picked it. Had the fried chicken sandwich , family member had a bacon burger and the service for ordering was very good. Bartender is a guy seen here many times and provides excellent service This place usually has people in it but not over crowded. One thing very cool is they provide you samples on the beers when trying their large selection and so problem trying multiple Fully recommend giving this place a try. Good environment and friendly staff all around

Yelp
I've come here a couple times. The deals are pretty good if you come at happy hour. Their selection of beer is descent. At the bar, the service was pretty slow even though the place was pretty empty. It seemed like the two women behind the bar were too busy socializing with each other that they didn't notice me and my partner. But, they weren't the worst. The nachos were terrible. I consider myself a nacho snob... and these were the worst nachos I've ever had. They came out so cold. There's a bunch of vegetables on them?? Like carrots...? The chips were soggy and there was barely any cheese. Literally the worst nachos I've ever had. 0/10 I haven't tried the other food, but I imagine it can't be worse than the nachos. Once I visited and there was an amazing live blues band. They were great!

Yelp
Our reservation was at 7:30pm BUT we were not seated until 35 minutes later because other guests were seated in our area. This is poor planning on the restaurants part since they knew we had a reservation and still seated other guests in the particular area. Besides the seating situation, the hosts/waiters/waitresses were not attentive at all. We had to buss our own tables to be able to finally sit and call them over multiple times to order. The food was pretty decent and the beer was good but not sure if I would come back here.

Yelp
From the moment you step into Off The Rails Brewing, you're greeted with the warm aroma of freshly brewed beer and the tantalizing scent of delicious food. The ambiance is inviting, with a rustic charm that sets the perfect backdrop for any occasion. Celebrating a friend's birthday here was an absolute delight. There was a total of 12 people and the staff went above and beyond to make the experience memorable, ensuring our glasses were never empty and our plates never devoid of mouthwatering bites. Speaking of plates, the food here is nothing short of exceptional. From hearty burgers to gourmet pizzas, each dish is crafted with care and bursts with flavor. And let's not forget the beer in which my personal favorite was YOLO. And if beer isn't your cup of tea, they also have a full bar with tasty cocktails. Whether you're looking for a place to unwind after work or celebrate a special occasion with loved ones, Off The Rails Brewing is the perfect destination. Great food, excellent service, and a lively atmosphere--what more could you ask for?" Wish I took pictures but you know what happens after a few drinks

Yelp
It's a casual spot with plenty of space for large groups. I was here for a puzzle solving event last night, and the upstairs area was perfect for the event. The food was okay. I would say that, while I'm not going to be craving either of the dishes we ordered (pasta with chicken and fish tacos), they were fine as meals and served up well. I would probably give this spot 3.5 stars overall but am rounding up to 4 as I would recommend this place for large groups.
google avatar

Daisy G.

Yelp
Came here for during happy hour for some drinks. The appetizers here were decent, the chicken was good in flavor - the pretzel bites were meh. They both weren't worth the happy hour price. The service was good.

Yelp
Dropped by for a Friday afternoon beer and snack. There was a decent crowd given was 4 PM. I'd give the beer selection 4 stars. I had the lazy hazy, which was nice and refreshing. For a snack, I ordered the calamari. It was a good portion; the quality was OK. Correct me if I am wrong, but tasted like it was frozen. Still, a good deal for happy hour. The service at the bar was barely adequate. No greeting, no conversation, no checking in on the food or the beverage... I even pushed my three-quarter finished beverage forward to see if he would recognize that and ask me if I wanted another, but of course he did not. Not even a word when I asked for the check. This was consistent with his interactions with everybody else at the bar. My years in the service industry were based on the fact that you want to increase sales. Increasing sales led to more money in everyone's pocket, including mine as a bartender. You can't build a regular clientele when your service indicates that you don't give a about the customer or the bar

Yelp
*LOCATION* This local brewery is located in the heart of downtown Sunnyvale. The street it's on is closed to cars so many restaurants have outdoor seating and there's plenty of space to walk around. There's a lot of street parking, parking lots and garages nearby but it can be busy during events and weekends. *WAIT TIME* There was no wait for a party of 2 on a Wednesday night ~8pm. There were a lot of people in the area though because it happened to be the annual Summer Series music event. We sat outside right next to the dance floor so it was really fun! *FOOD* -Yolo IPA: very fruity and hoppy yumm -Chardonnay: refreshing but not cold at all! -Chicken pesto pizza: 6 slices enough for 2 people to share, good amount of pesto and chicken, crust was the PERFECT chewiness -Garlic Cajun fries: flavors were good but lowkey disappointed the fries weren't piping hot when they came out :( *SERVICE* We had to flag down the waiter several times but they were really friendly, prob bc it was kinda chaotic due to the music event. *AMBIENCE* This seems like a chill place to hang out! The inside is actually pretty spacious and they have trivia/game nights. I'd want to come back for weekday happy hour!

Yelp
The food was good and priced well! The beer flight is a must try! The service was also amazing- the server went out of his way to bring a heat lamp over when someone in our party complained about the temperature! The ambiance was laid back and welcoming! I would highly recommend Off the Rails!
google avatar

Hailey J.

Yelp
stumbled across this place because another brewery on the same street was closed. this place has beer flights for $10 which is a really good deal. however, the selection of beer was limited- a lot of the items on the menu were unavailable and the ones we did choose were not good. my bf loves beer and even he was disappointed with the taste of beer. i chose more of the fruity ones but they tasted like vinegar and the ipas were way too bitter the fish and chips were mediocre at best. the fried fish tasted rubbery like it came from a frozen bag. the fries were undercooked and not seasoned. we were originally going to order more dishes but did not want to order anything else after this service is ok, we were one of two tables at the restaurant but the service was still slow and not attentive
google avatar

Maleiha S.

Yelp
I love coming here with my friends, the drinks are good and the food tastes great. I tried some of my friends fried calamari and it was pretty good, I love that it wasn't rubbery. Service is quick and attentive, never had a rude server. Otherwise I like the vibes here, quiet but active.

Beck W.

Yelp
I want to love this place. Local beer? Awesome! The beer is great! I would recommend you try the reds for sure if you come here. The menu is not accurate to what are on them items received. Many items on the menu will come with ingredients not stated. Be warned for all food allergy concerns. The fries come with cheese which is not listed on the menu. Enjoy if you can!

Snyder J.

Yelp
They have brunch in the summer and early fall! We just went with our kids. It was super delicious and wonderful fast service. My kids are notoriously picky, light eaters but they ate so much-everything we ordered was great, but we especially loved the oat flour pancakes and fried chicken (so crispy and light) and the potatoes and omelette. We will definitely be back!

I came here once with friends and it was good but it was super loud. It was hard to hear our table which was super close, but the drinks were good. The service wasn't great but it was a crowded night. They didn't close out our tab for a while but overall, it was okay and I'd go back for a game day.

Yelp
Do you like all types of beer? (They offer flights too) Do you enjoy a riveting game of trivia, specifically on Thursday nights? (The trivia host was really entertaining but a bit rude when people starting rushing over from excitement.) Do you like people? (Especially engaging bartenders and servers who provide quick service?) Do you enjoy great bar food including yummy burgers, calamari, fish and chips? Well this place is for you!

Yelp
Nice spot to grab a beer, eat bar food and watch some sports games as they have humongous televisions. Outdoor seating also available on Murphy street. I'm not a beer person but my husband thought his beer was amazing. They also do have wine cocktails and happy hour from 4-6. HH includes some draft beers, a couple wines and cocktails and small plates. I wasn't a huge fan of anything we ate, but I also don't particularly like greasy bar food. Tuna dip was very creamy, the chips it came with were addictive. Pretzel bites were good as well, I liked the cheese dip a lot. Burger was really ordinary- the meat tasted a bit dry, the burger could've used some cheese.

Yelp
I came here with a large group of coworkers for Happy Hour on a Thursday evening around 6pm. We were seated at a taller table near the entrance and and they somewhat crammed us in so it was pretty tight for everyone. They weren't too busy at the beginning but the place definitely got busy around 7pm. However, even when it wasn't too busy, the service was so-so and they staff weren't very attentive when it came to providing utensils after serving our dish or coming by to check on our table. However, one of the staff was friendly & funny and I wouldn't mind having him as our server in the future! For the food, I ended up ordering a seafood jambalaya, which tasted alright but was overall a bit too salty for my taste. The seafood also didn't feel super fresh (with the fish feeling like it came from a can). Overall the place seems like it would be good for large groups and casual gathering with beer, but probably not the best place for entrees.

Yelp
All around if I had to grade 3/10. The food was bad. The service okay. The beer selection was terrible. Don't come save your money place is big trash. #Garbo

Yelp
I went into the place because it was freezing outside with my kids. My kids wanted Ramen Seas and I came in here for a burger. The nice lady who ran the front allowed me to bring in my outside food. She was sweet and knew it was freezing outside. METRO CAFE would not allow me to bring food saying it was policy.. I ended up getting the lunch burger which was only 13 bucks. It was a western but I replaced the bbq sauce with garlic ailoli and its ! The burger was juicy and had so much flavor and the fries were amazing. I had thier beer before and they have a nice selection... When an establishment lends a helping hand I will support, market, and spread the word. Thanks again off the rails brewing for your kindness and delicious food.

Yelp
This is a pretty good spot to visit. My husband and I came for the first time and we were very happy with our experience. Service was great! The food was awesome AND discounted with the lunch special. Also the happy hour has some pretty great options. We sat outside which was perfect for the weather. The entire Murphy's Avenue strip is well worth a visit!

Yelp
We came for a birthday celebration. Raspberry Sour and Mango Sour: $18 for 12 oz each. Mac N Cheese: The macaroni was quite al dente at first and the sauce was more watery than expected. Buffalo Wings: $18 for 5 wings. Great flavor, but not many wings for the price. Calamari: Excellent squid to breading ratio. Chicken Alfredo: Best dish of the meal. The best garlic bread with cheese melted on top. Plenty of chicken thigh meat.

Yelp
For me, this place is convenient -- a good go-to. This is a good place to socialize with family, friends, and coworkers over beer. The food here is standard; typical burger and fries. Off The Rails is a popular spot for our team lunches since we work nearby and getting seats for a team of 4-6 is never an issue. Parking between S Murphy Ave and E Washington Ave was limited because of construction but the parking on S Frances Street should be fine. Just keep in mind, there's a lot of people on Saturday morning because of the Farmer's Market. Parking will be difficult then. One issue I have, which isn't Off the Rail's fault, is that there's a lot of dust on Murphy Ave. If you're doing outdoor seating on a windy day dust, be prepared to have dust get in the drinks, food, and even eyeballs. So be careful. Best to do indoor seating or the outside seats in the back near the park lot.

Yelp
The food here is decent for the area but the beer is just awful. Service is generally good and friendly. Lots if seating both inside and out.

Yelp
This place is great. I came on a night when they had stand up comedy going on upstairs which was a real treat. After looking at the photos of the food on yelp I decided on the margarita pizza although I was apprehensive. Turned out to be absolutely delicious. Also really enjoyed the comedy show, especially the closer he was the best. I do wish I was able to drink some more as the servers were not super attentive upstairs. The speakers sounded great upstairs for the age and I was happy that I was able to hear the show in the back.

Yelp
Service was bad: no water, no napkins and service outside until we asked. Overpriced, no-flavored Burger (BBBB). Plain churro with sauce that has the consistency of melted pudding.

Yelp
Tempted to make it 3 stars, but the overall experience demands 2. Good news: Food delivered quickly. And they did contact me about an item they could not fulfill. Coleslaw was ok. Mac and cheese was ok. Bad news: I ordered a Reuben but they called to say it was only for St. Pat's day. My order was 2 days later, which means they don't consider keeping the online menu accurate to be a priority. And I got 2 phone calls about this, which means they don't coordinate with each other very well. Worse news: Food had little flavor. Fried chicken crust was ok and meat was reasonably juicy, but really, no flavor. BBQ Ribs were not barbecued. Texture of the meat made it likely it was steamed, and then doused in sauce. But again -- and this is hard to do with pork ribs -- the meat had no flavor.

Yelp
Love the location and the open seatings. There are outdoor and indoor seatings as well as by the bar. The drinks are great and the beer is a good selection. The staff are super friendly! Always love when you're in good company. Our party orders the pizza, nachos, tomato soup, and burgers. Everything was super yummy. The pizza was smaller then expected but overall it tastes great! Definitely order different plates and share with your friends. This place takes reservations so it was nice to book for a large party in advance! There is a garage parking right by the restaurant so not a far walk.

Yelp
The beer here is excellent, the atmosphere is fun and inviting The two-story location allows plenty of room for folks to spread out. The sausage plate was a little disappointing not quite what I was expecting but still good and the service was excellent. I would definitely return but probably try something different on the menu

Yelp
If you're in downtown Sunnyvale, you have to check out this brewery! Not only do they make their own beers, but the food is really good too! We LOVED their Brussels Sprouts, Garlic Fries and Wings. Be sure to save room though because their desserts are worth getting - especially the House Donuts!!  When we went, there was a Trivia Night going on upstairs, but every Thursday is Game Night, Live Music on select Saturdays of each month, and Happy Hour Monday-Friday from 3-6pm. Drinks: Caribbean Fusion Hibiscus Margarita Chambortini El Diablo Beer Flight: Longhaul, Yolo, Trappist, & Otis Appetizers: Garlic Fries Bacon Seared Brussels Sprouts Fried Calamari Chicken Wings (Buffalo) Entrees: Fried Fish Tacos Barbacoa Beef Tacos Pizza Margherita Tri-Tip Cheesesteak Western Burger Desserts: Bascue Cheesecake House Donuts Vanilla Creme Brulee Chocolate Lava Cake Vanilla Sundae
