Rustic Italian restaurant with workshop vibe serving pasta-based dishes from an open kitchen.
"London never tires of excellent pasta restaurants, and Officina 00 is one of those. Getting a seat at the counter and watching your flying saucer-like raviolo bergese stuffed with mushroom and egg yolk is one of Old Street’s most soothing activities. Often filled with post-work dates, romantic and platonic, this laid-back space fits anything and everything. Plus, all the pasta—from the lamb occhi to the pappardelle—is around £16 a plate." - heidi lauth beasley, jake missing, daisy meager
"Officina 00 is a handmade pasta spot in Shoreditch that made it on to our list of the Best New Restaurants of 2019. Those handmade pastas are now available for delivery, as are a selection of cooked pastas, starters like burrata, mixed salumi, and croquettes, and their excellent chocolate and lemon profiteroles. Order here." - heidi lauth beasley, jake missing, rianne shlebak
"You’re really glad that you’re getting closer to this person. Just think, one day you might exchange novelty Christmas socks or accidentally sleep together after your only partially ironic Single And Sad V-Day Bash(!) takes a turn for the worst. Isn’t friendship beautiful? For now, capitalise on how nice it all is at Officina 00. This handmade pasta spot near Old Street roundabout has a cool, laidback feel, is super affordable, and serves some seriously tasty handmade pastas. And yes, no matter how much you get on, you’re not going to want to share the profiteroles." - heidi lauth beasley, jake missing
"We all have that friend who really knows their way around a Tame Impala album, can quote a Haruki Murakami novel with ease, and manages to do it all without even really trying. Officina 00 is the squid ink tagliolini-serving, restaurant version of that mate. It knows it’s cool but it’s still laid-back and generally pretty casual. As perfect for a date night as it is for a lunchtime catch-up with mates, this Old Street spot is also great-value. The raviolo bergese is a must-order." - jake missing, rianne shlebak, sinead cranna
"Given that we’ve spent many an afternoon happily lost within the Barbican compound, finding little reading benches and photogenic angles at every turn, a short walk to or from Officina 00 shouldn’t be a problem. There’s nothing Brutalist about this handmade pasta restaurant on Old Street. It doles out bowls of nourishing ragu-based comfort and pillows of gnocchi for anyone in need: from the day-off gallery-goer taking a seat at the bar, to friends who have a rather serious eye on the lemon and chocolate profiteroles." - heidi lauth beasley, jake missing
