"Set steps from the beach, this chic coastal hotel opened in June 2025 after Marley Dominguez’s Enduring Hospitality Group bought the former Sands Motel in 2024 for $23.5 million. The sun-drenched 19,000-square-foot property feels like a tribute to Montauk’s laid-back spirit with a clean, modern refresh—sleek wooden fixtures, crisp lines, and a coastal palette—while retaining its Sands Motel roots. With 43 rooms (from first-floor beach-view rooms to ocean-view suites, larger corner suites, and spa condo suites), generous windows, natural materials, a roomy bed with eucalyptus pillow spray, and a bit of bohemian flair, the rooms are a peaceful beachside retreat. The hotel’s amenities include a major summertime pool draw with lounge chairs and cabanas, forthcoming on-site dining next year, a spa, gym, beach service (towels, umbrellas, loungers), free bike rentals, and partnerships for vintage Ford Broncos and golf carts arriving next year. Offshore was perfect for our weekend getaway. The staff was SUPER accommodating. I booked a standard king room, then my wife's friend was going to come at the last minute. The staff moved our room to something larger to accommodate the three of us. The friend then bailed the night before our reservation, and Offshore switched us back to the original reservation, but upgraded the room for free- lovely experience working with them. Everything is new, clean, and well-decorated. They have a great little gym, a cold plunge, a sauna, and more. The location is fantastic as well. Walkable to town and next to the beach. They also have bikes and beach chairs for you to use. Definitely will be coming back!

For background.. I’ve been coming to Montauk for over 25 years. Aside from a house, I’ve stayed in hotels and resorts… most of which I enjoyed but never felt a need to return… Until Offshore! The rooms are divine. The most comfortable bed and the decor was beachy. |We had the condo but I looked at the regular no kitchenette room and it’s perfect as well!! The pool is so relaxing Wonderful temperature, amazing little floaties and lovely attendants. Kirk beach is within earshot… and again, very nice attendants that set you up with a chair (so no need to bring). A perfect boogie boarding beach.|The hotel is a 5mn walk, even with luggage, from the hampton jitney, and plenty of Ubers. Grocery store and multiple restaurant 2-3 minutes away. This place would be ideal for a solo WFH situation, a couples getaway or a family and friends reunion.

We had the most amazing stay at Offshore Montauk! The rooms were beautiful—modern, spotless, and thoughtfully designed. The pool was a hit with our family, especially with the fun floats provided. The beach setup was a highlight—chic umbrellas, comfy chairs, and a cooler all ready to go. It was not only super convenient but also so trendy and perfect for photo ops. The staff went above and beyond—so helpful and accommodating throughout our stay. It was the perfect family getaway, and we can’t wait to come back!

From the moment we arrived, everything about our experience was top-tier. The staff were incredibly welcoming, professional, and always willing to go the extra mile to make sure we were comfortable. The room was beautifully designed, spotlessly clean, and had every amenity we could possibly need. We especially appreciated the attention to detail—from the turn-down service to the luxurious bedding and high-quality toiletries. The on-site dining was phenomenal, offering both variety and quality. The breakfast buffet alone was worth the stay! The hotel’s location was perfect—central but peaceful—with easy access to key attractions. The spa and pool area were serene and impeccably maintained, offering a great way to unwind. Truly a five-star experience in every sense. Can’t wait to return!

We stayed three days at this beautiful new hotel right in town. The location can’t be beat! The beach across the street is beautiful and having teenagers, It’s nice that they can explore the town on foot. The rooms are beautifully renovated, and the service was excellent! It was great to walk to the beach and have access to umbrellas, chairs and towels, which the attendant promptly set up for us. We didn’t get to use the pool, but it looked nice as an option. They had a hose set up so we could rinse our sandy feet before walking up to a room, some outdoor sprinklers or showers for rinsing off would be nice. We look forward to returning another time and trying the new restaurant they will be opening soon. P.S. The cleaning staff Found my daughter‘s lost AirPods and turned them in, and the Front Desk promptly contacted me so they could be returned, which she really appreciated.

Our stay at the Offshore Montauk was great! The staff were extremely accommodating, made everything run smooth for us. The location is perfect! Walking distance from different shops and restaurants, walking distance to the beach as well (right across the street). The pool are at this hotel is nice!!! The hotel has everything for a beach-front stay.

Montauk is one of my all time favorite places. It has been years since I have returned (due to a move out west) so I was so excited to see a new hotel on the scene and with quite the view! You always are taking a chance on a new hotel and I am excited to say it really was an excellent experience. From the team at the pool and the beach to the check in experience, all was smooth and the rooms were spacious even if i was at the beach in town for most of my trip. Definitely recommend!

Such a lovely weekend escape! The hotel had everything we needed - beautiful pool, beach access just a short walk away with chairs, towels and umbrellas included. The location was perfect for strolling into town, and the room was cozy with great amenities. Would definitely come back!
