The 35 Best Restaurants in Porto, Portugal | Eater

"More than a food staple, rissol is a symbol of the popular culture in Portugal. The half moon-shaped savory snack is everywhere from bakeries to restaurants, and it inspired Alexandra and Louis Druesne to open this French-inflected vintage-looking venue overlooking the charming Jardim de São Lázaro. After stints at fine dining restaurants in Paris (where they met), the couple built a version of the beloved delicacy using organic flour and ingredients from the best producers in the country for the fillings. Traditional flavors include beef and fish, alongside more adventurous takes like Thai green curry or truffles. Beyond rissóis, they also serve a delicious tomato brothy rice, french fries, salads, and other accompaniments. Know before you go: Alexandra trained as a pastry chef in several Parisian fine-dining restaurants. Whatever you do, don’t skip dessert." - Rafael Tonon

Found this online and wasn't sure but I saw it and it's adorable! They have a whole dining area with service. Excellent waiter who helped me. Ended up with veal, hake, and tomato rice. The rice is essentially tomato soup with rice and it's great! Each bite had me like it more ahaha. The veal was amazing! I ordered a second. The hake was really good too. Just white fish and great flavor. Got the tango to drink-that was nice too. Overall great meal. Confirmed by me dancing to the music while eating

For me this was a surprising experience!! I want to speak about the tomato rice first because it is special! You will be able to taste why The different choices for flavours on the Rissóis go from standard to more like asian flavours. Cool place, quick service and evem nicer staff! I recommended sitting at the counter

We had the cesar salad and veal and caprese rissois. Everything was delicious. The cesar salad dressing was so good and definitely generous with the cheese. The rissois were perfectly cooked without feeling oily. Meat was tender. Prices were reasonable so great value for money all in all. Staff were friendly and accommodating. We would happily eat here again.

Absolutely delightful experience! The service was truly outstanding, warm, attentive and genuinely kind. The atmosphere is beautiful, relaxed and full of charm. Every dish was delicious and carefully prepared, from the rissois to the dessert. You can really feel the passion and attention to detail in everything they serve. A place made with love, highly recommended!

Extremely good rissois, I loved the truffel one and the tomato rice. The space is a bit small with just one table and the rest are counter seats. A bit on the more pricey side, but the rissois are freshly handmade. I can recommend trying at least going there once and try different rissois.

Affordable busy little spot. This tasty delicacy is a must try when visiting Porto. Good meat, fish and vegetarian options available. We had the black garlic pita, which was really tasty. The salad was light and refreshing. The rissois were filled full and packed with flavor.

Loved the spicy veal and (surprisingly) the thai green curry risosois. But the real winner was the tomato rice and chill sauce. Oh my word, delicious. Great friendly staff! Highly reccomend.

I heard this place is one of the best places in the city to try Rissois, and this place did not disappoint. This is a small place with limited seating options and this place is always full. The ambience of the place is very modern with its bar counter just out in the front. The server here was very helpful and suggested the food that I can try based on my taste. I ordered red curry and shrimp Rissois and both were delicious and stuffed with cheese. I also had fruit juice of the day which was fresh. The pricing was also relatively modest and overall the experience was great.
