Chicago’s Best Italian Restaurants | Eater Chicago

"A West Town classic has moved to a new location, leaving Grand Avenue for Chicago Avenue, and staying in the neighborhood. Oggi Trattoria is a family-owned throwback with pizzas and pasta. Chicagoans who grew up in the ‘80s will recognize the upscale Italian offerings, like cheese-filled tortellini, chicken marsala, and mussels marinara. Now, decades later, dishes like tortellini alla panna and baked clams are comfort foods. The vibe here is inviting with colorful wall art and is a great spot for an early dinner for families with young children." - Ashok Selvam

Stopped by for dinner on NYE without a reservation and had a fantastic time at the bar! The restaurant has such a welcoming, family-owned vibe, which I absolutely love. It was so lovely to see so many people come in and greet the staff with big hugs. It really felt like a cozy, neighborhood spot. I had been here once before and thought the food was just okay, but I’m so glad we gave it another try because it was amazing this time! The pasta, chicken, and meatballs were outstanding, and the burrata was delicious. Plus, the espresso martini was one of the best I’ve ever had. Highly recommend!

Google
my friend and i came for restaurant week 2025! i ordered the burrata, vodka pasta (with no salami) and the key lime cake. i loved their bread, it is definitely homemade! the pasta was a bit undercooked and they put meat in it when i asked if they could take it out. they didn’t really apologize for it either. lastly, the key lime cake was also very tasty and fresh!

1st Time Ordering Here & Won't Be My Last! I did doordash delivery and was not disappointed! Everything was fresh & Delicious! Great Job! The Rolls Are Amazing!

Google
Oggis is by far the Best restaurant in Chicago. The food is made with love and so much flavor! It’s family owned and they will make you feel right at home. The service is incredible and exceeds my expectations. Lucy did an amazing job recommending their best dishes, (which is all of them), wine to pair with the food, and dessert. Thank you for such a wonderful all around experience. I can’t wait to be back. I love you Oggi!

Google
Great family owned and operated restaurant. I can honestly say this was the best linguine and clams I’ve had so far. Food is delicious and the service is great. The drinks were very refreshing. Would definitely come back when in the Chicago area.

Google
Oggi has my all-time favorite chicken marsala. Solid Italian-American food all around - all of their pasta (other than GF) are made in house. Rolls are notorious and for good reason. Prices are on the steeper side but everything is made with love

Google
This is a great Italian joint in a new location. Food was great and people were so hospitable( I loved the lemon chicken… and pasta with vodka sauce). My only complaint is that we were seated directly looking at the back of the bar. See the photo? Yuck. Who wants to see the dirty dishes and cleaners on the floor? This could be easily improved with a curtain or addition to the bar so as to disguise this area from the customers. Will definitely return and ask to be seated in the front.

Google
I like the restaurant, everyone were very friendly, very good customer service. My food was very good, but my mother and my daughter weren’t happy about their food. They have a delicious wine. The appetizers were very delicious, we ate calamari. We had a great time, thanks so much For your amazing service!🥰

Yelp
Totally enjoyed this very small, local Italian restaurant. We arrived early and got a table for 6 but it quickly filled and got LOUDER as time passed. Strongly suggest reservations. Our server was attentive and friendly, but it appeared that others were being served their entrees before us and we had ordered before them. We had theater reservations and had to skip dessert. However, the food was served hot, it was very tasty, and the servings were generous. There is a small outdoor eating area when season allows. Very limited street parking, so parking can definitely be an issue. And I asked ~ "oggi" means "today".

Yelp
Service was great. Sam was so nice to us as were the other two servers. Our group was large and pretty chaotic with order so I really appreciated the patience they showed us. Drinks were good. The Andy was a bit sweet. I asked for less syrup and more lime juice for my second round and that make it ten times better. So good! The fried calamari was delicious. Well seasoned and tender. The prosciutto pizza was dry for us. We would have liked some pesto or sauce for it. It was just crust, cheese, prosciutto and arugula. I'd recommend a different pizza. The seafood one looked really good but I didn't try it. The side of meatballs was truly amazing. That was a must try. My friend said her fettuccini was delicious. She asked for white sauce instead of bolognese. Everyone else liked their dishes as well. The cheese and bread appetizer - I can't remember the name - was not very tasty to me. The cheese and the tomatoes seemed a bit bland. I'd skip that appetizer and go with meatballs or calamari. Even the grilled calamari was supposed to have been great according to someone. I would return. This was a nice place for a date or group.

Yelp
Nice service, food is good they have moved a couple of times. New place is nicer. We were in a hurry to catch a show and they were great getting us in and out quickly.

Yelp
My partner and I had a really solid experience at Oggi. We went in for a late Dinner on a Saturday night. They were not super busy and we were fortunate enough to get a seat on the patio. It was a beautiful evening. The service was great. It seemed like they only had 1 server working and she was definitely busy with quite a few tables, but still took amazing care of us. We grabbed calamari, penne alla vodka, and pepperoni pizza. the calamari was wonderfully crispy. It was great. We thoroughly enjoyed it. Light, airy, and perfect paired with the lemon and marinara. The pasta was good, too. Not earth shattering, but some solid pasta that tasted good. I really enjoyed the pizza. It certainly was not neopolitan, or super authentic, but solid pizza. It was almost like a tavern style pie. It tasted good, it was the type of pizza I was in the mood for. MY partner and I debated on the freshness of the food. We could not tell if this food was insanely fresh, or frozen. Very interesting. Nonetheless, we enjoyed the meal. The palomas were solid. the atmosphere is nice. It definitely felt like a neighborhood haunt and everything I read is consistent with that. No complaints with our meal at all. It was a solid meal.

Yelp
A super cute neighborhood spot! This is exactly what the river West neighborhood needed. It is a family run business and you can tell as soon as you walk in I felt extremely welcomed and the food was so authentic. I got the gnocchi and it was amazing and the portions were huge, which is always a plus!!

Yelp
Great first time dining here, we got a reservation late and were well accommodated even with how busy they were. The staff were all very friendly & the food was delicious! We will definitely be back in the future, this seems like a low key, family owned neighborhood gem of an Italian spot. I had the spicy rigatoni with shrimp and my husband got the chicken limone, we were both impressed with the taste and the portion size. Next time I'll be sure to save room for dessert.

Yelp
Very nice restaurant week experience. Generous portions. The only weak part was the desserts but overall a great spot.

Yelp
This is a review specifically for 2024 restaurant week. They offer a three course meal for $25 including starter, main dish and dessert. We had a salad and salt pepper sausage which were not bad. We had eggplant Parmesan. The tomato sauce was tasty and the pasta was cooked dante which we liked. but the fried eggplant was a little soggy. At last, we had chocolate cake and tiramisu which were both good. The highlight of the meal, however, was the complimentary bread.

Yelp
I loved it here. The staff was super nice and attentive. You could tell they were a little understaffed, but they made sure to check in and take care of you. The place is small but very cute. It's a nice place for date night :) Now to the good part. The food. I think they have someone's Italian grandma cooking in the back because everything was delicious. Chef's kiss! The plating is neat, the flavors make your taste buds jump! My husband got the Velasco chicken, which the sauce had a nice touch of jalapeño. It's not spicy, but you know it has jalapeños in the sauce. I got the Pomodori Secchi, which was so good. The pasta looked and tasted homemade, the sauce was beautifully put together. And the chicken was nicely cooked. Definitely check them out. I don't think you can miss with whatever you order here.

Yelp
My favorite Italian ever. The staff talks to and treats you like family and the food is phenomenal. I've been visiting since their old location and can't recommend it enough. The rolls ... I could eat 20 in one sitting. The sauce has personality and the pasta noodles are delicious. Must try!

Yelp
Old school Italian restaurant feel. Thursday night dinner, restaurant was at about half capacity. Greeted at the front door and shown to our table. The guy ended up being our waiter. He wasn't grumpy, but he gave you that "Im really happy you're here, and I care about you, but my tone and facial expressions won't reflect that" feel. Bread came shortly after... I usually don't rate bread but definitely a 6/5. Fresh, warm, delicious Italian rolls. I also enjoyed that they bake them fresh for every table and only give you as many rolls as their are people in your party - less waste. Food/Drinks: - Martini 4/5: Although simple, a martini isnt always easy to make. I had two, fantastic. Star subtracted for the first one being warm and not the easiest to take down - Fried Calamari 3.5/5: There were a lot of overly fried pieces, but the ones that weren't were very good. House made marinara was a great touch. Would skip if we came back. - Arrabbiata 4/5: Pasta cooked al dente (right on the edge of undercooked but I loved it) with delicious bits of fried salami mixed in. The tomato sauce packed a good kick with great spice levels. Would skip if we came back. - Chicken Parm 4/5: Fresh chicken cutlet perfectly seasoned and grilled to perfection with a fresh layer of crispy cheese on top (I asked for well done cheese). It came with a side of rigatoni which was cooked well. One thing that really annoyed me: The chicken parm wasn't on the restaurant's paper menu, but was on the online menu (that's not what annoyed me, just keep that in mind). When the waiter came around the first time to order our food, he asked if I had any questions, and I said not really everything looks so good and I would love to try it all. But I did ask "do you have the chicken parm" - and he replied yes we can make that. I said, "Great!" and proceeded to order the above mentioned items. The annoying part: Even after hearing that we ordered the Arrabbiata.. and knowing its RIGATONI.. He didnt ask/tell/anything about the side of RIGATONI pasta that comes with the chicken parm. I told him I wanted to try everything so I would have expected him to say "Hey, FYI the chicken parm comes with rigatoni as well.. do you want to sub that or maybe get a different pasta dish". Bottom line: - Would come back and try the other dishes - They have a small free parking lot next door which is amazing - Prices are on the higher side for a west town italian spot considering there are a lot of italian options in chicago - $25 per bottle corkage fee (on the lower side for chicago)

Yelp
Food was delicious! It tastes like it was cooked by an old Italian grandma. It's a cute spot and the service was quick. Definitely recommend the espresso martini!

Yelp
3.5. Talented kitchen makes the things. Competent without being transcendental. The prices are definitely on the high side; not sure the value proposition is there. But if you have extra cash, its a good meal.

Yelp
As usual this place never disappoints. This chicken parm pizza was delicious. Asked if they could substitute the traditional sauce with vodka sauce and they did and added pepperoni for me!! It was absolutely delicious!

Yelp
The Queen and I had a date with another GF for our evening out called "Girl's Sh*t". It is something we try to do once a month. My GF picked this place because it was close to where she works. It was first time coming here and I was very surprised as it took me down memory lane. A woman I went to college with lived in a building two doors east of the restaurant. Her family owned the building and her mom had a dressmaking business on the first floor...she made all of my opera, party and symphony dresses and they were lovely. Just brought back such good memories. This was a surprise visit as it was not a part of my Restaurant Week 2023 agenda, but it turned out to be a nice addition. Oggi's menu for Restaurant Week 2023 was four courses for $42. Don't think too many places are going to beat that. The space itself is cute and intimate, with a family vibe to it. Not a big space so I would definitely call for reservations. Although we were the only ones in there, it was 5:30 pm on a Wednesday. Can't speak to what the situation is like on the weekend. Started out with the Carciofino Salad because it had marinated artichoke hearts, tomatoes, red onions, Italian vinaigrette. This was an okay salad, but nothing to write home about. 2nd/3rd course was the Rotolo Primavera (Tricolored pasta stuffed with ricotta cheese and spinach baked in red cream) and Chicken Parmesan. Since the chicken didn't come with pasta underneath, this was a good combination. This was my first time having Rotolo pasta, so it was interesting. It resembles a stuffed pasta roll, similar to a hye roller sandwich, at least for me. It looked as if the pasta had been rolled up with the stuffing and then maybe sliced? Anyway it was good. The Queen and my GF got the Linguine Alla Pescatore (linguini with fresh shrimp, calamari and chopped clams sautéed in special marinara sauce). Bot h stated that they enjoyed it very much. I would agree with one of the reviewers who tasted that the flavors are on the mild side. That is not necessarily a deal breaker for me, but I would say they are more subtle when compared to say Calo's. 4th course was Key lime Mascarpone cake. Again nothing special, as I would have preferred more key lime flavor but it was nice. I will give a shout to to the dinner rolls and the octopus. No idea what the sauce was for the grilled octopus but it was sooooo good with those rolls that me and The Queen got an extra order. I highly recommend dipping those heavenly soft rolls into that sauce and just enjoy. It was that good! There was plenty of street parking, but again this was a Wednesday night at 5:30 pm. But I wouldn't worry too much about it if you are going on the weekend as there isn't much down that way that would take up parking beyond the restaurant. Our server was cool and friendly and checked in on us throughout the night. Definitely a place I would go back to just to check out the pizzas they had on the regular menu. Quite a delightful discovery

Yelp
Incredible service , delicious food and a beautiful atmosphere all around! This is a family owned restaurant you do not want to skip out on! The baked clams with their freshly baked dinner rolls was a next level dish and I can't wait to go back!! The gnocchi had the perfect texture and with every bite, it got better and better. The service was top notch, so welcoming and kind. I instantly knew I was at a family restaurant by the way they took care of me and my boyfriend. I cannot recommend this place enough. I am so excited to go back and try the rest of their menu! If you're anywhere near West Town , you have to go to OGGI TRATTORIA!

Yelp
Was out walking around Chicago with family and looking for an authentic old school Italian restaurant and ended up here . You'll notice a lot of Italian restaurants in little Italy are not open for lunch..Oggi was the right choice for us . Atmosphere: 5/5 cozy warm, Sinatra playing on speakers and host was very warm and friendly. Linen cloth covered tables .. interior had venice back wall and interesting art against the walls. Chicken Parmesan: 5/5.. I have to admit I am biased because I grew up in Chicago and eating chicken parmesan sandwich was a thing for me. Italian Bread is from Bari food next door and chicken seasoned to perfection...love love Soup of the day: 5/5 spinach tortellini soup. Made fresh to order. First time trying this very clean broth and tortellini was fresh made. Kudos! Salad: Fresh balanced vinegar, oil and Parmesan. dressing was served already mixed into the salad. Daughter and I loved it but my mom thought it was too salty..opt for side dressing if you want to control. Pizza : 4/5 Margherita used fresh ingredients but was a bit heavy on the mozzarella. Would have liked more red sauce to offset the cheesiness. But did get my teenager approval.

Franklin B.

Yelp
This place is such an amazing vibe, servers make you feel like home, you can tell this is a family owned restaurant. The chicken Marsala never stops to get better and better. Highly recommended for a date night. Also, espresso martinis are a 10/10!!!

Yelp
They moved! And we love it! We actually went on opening night and they were busting their booties off. The gnocchi here is to die for. I love their vodka sauce. And the rolls...don't forget about the BREAD! Yum! They are definitely working through some kinks but we will be back! They even have a cute little patio! Yay for summertime. My husband and I looooove Oggi. It's our go to Italian place in the city. The staff is always the same three people (love them). The food is always solid. Drinks are pretty dang good. And now they have this beautiful new space!

Omar M.

Yelp
What an amazing experience. I love Oggi! I recommend this place to all my friends. Such a hidden gem. The bartender is great.

Yelp
Food was good, but noise levels were loud, and service was bizarre. Waiters were loudly running to serve food to different tables, dishes and silverware were being dropped, and we often had to ask for water and drink refills. Staff were nice but just seemed busy and reactive. It may have been busier than usual because it's Restaurant Week.

Heather J.

Yelp
Absolutely delicious and wonderful experience. Everything we ordered was clearly made with fresh ingredients and authentic recipes. All of the staff members were also extremely attentive and kind and genuinely seemed to enjoy their job. The restaurant itself is beautifully decorated but still cozy, exactly what you want at your neighborhood Italian spot. If you take anything away from this review, let it be to order the lasagna or the tiramisu. I don't say this lightly - it was by far the best we've ever had.
google avatar

Carlos O.

Yelp
Early Saturday evening. Place was very empty. Drinks were good. Appetizer fried calamari not great. 4 different main courses ordered. Clams just ok. 2 of same chicken courses good and plentiful. Chicken Vesuvius only chicken breast (not bone in). The Lasagna was ice cold as if frozen dinner warmed up, the worst I ever had. I probably would think about going back , but so many good Italian restaurants in area. Disappointed
google avatar

Mark R.

Yelp
Two months into their new location in Chicago Ave. and you would think they had been here for years. Great ambiance and stylish build out, the kitchen is still working their magic on the seafood, veal, chicken and pasta dishes we ordered. On Sunday night, we came early and bought 7p they were packed. Service is always super friendly and they are still keeping the family-vibe alive.

Yelp
I had a delightful evening at Oggis last night with my girlfriends, and it left a lasting impression. We're already planning our next visit. First things first - if you enjoy seafood, do yourself a favor and order the grilled octopus. The sauce, which I've affectionately nicknamed "cracksauce," is a game-changer. They started us off with freshly baked rolls, and now I wish I had saved them to savor every bit of that saucy goodness from the grilled octopus antipasto. Our entree order included the Rotolo Primavera, a delightful dish filled with a creamy spinach and ricotta mix, crowned with golden brown bubbly cheese- which we devoured! We also enjoyed the Gamberi Primavera, the perfectly al dente pasta and delicate sauce made the dish truly enjoyable. I love spicy food so I couldn't resist ordering the Gamberi Diavolo. While it wasn't my personal favorite - I found the sauce slightly too sweet for the dish, the attentive staff and chef ensured my satisfaction. They surprised me with a dish from the secret menu - linguine lathered in the "cracksauce" I've been raving about. Be sure to ask Frank about the secret house menu and try Marie's "cracksauce" linguine -it was delicious! The service was wonderful - attentive and warm. The restaurant has a charming atmosphere with both casual and fancy vibes. Seating is accommodating, with options for solo diners at the bar, group dinners in a large corner booth, and intimate dates by the window. We made a 5 PM dinner reservations for a Saturday, and although the place was initially empty, it quickly filled up. I noticed that pickup orders were keeping the kitchen busy, but even with the influx of orders, the service remained excellent. We planned to have wine but were drawn to the cocktail menu, and we're glad we were! Girlfriends raved about The Italian Paloma. I had an Oggi Old Fashion which includes coconut rum and it was fantastic. Parking was easy. My girlfriends found street parking, I parked in a lot next to the restaurant. Overall, Oggis provided a delightful experience, and I can't wait to go back for more of that grilled octopus. The cocktail menu, pizza, and mussels are also on my list for the next visit based on recommendations from neighboring patrons who also raved about their food. Bread Rolls Grilled Octopus Rotolo Primavera Oggi Special Pasta

Yelp
This place really exceeded my expectations, the atmosphere was intimate and more modern than expected but they do play sports on tvs inside so not a completely "upscale" vibe. I ordered the vodka pasta and it was delicious and I was a social about the salami in it but it added really nice flavor. They have free bread (bonus points). And staff was friendly. Pretty average pricing for Italian in the city but I would come here again!

Harrison C.

Yelp
Such an amazing place! The food was delicious and our server Lucy was incredible - can't wait to come back!

Niel L.

Yelp
Good food great service. Nice looking place with exposed brick wall. Nice bar. Had chicken parmigiana wasn't on menu but they made it for me. Pasta side I had spaghetti with garlic and oil. My wife had rigatoni with vodka sauce and pieces of salami in it, with a side of meatballs, I would prefer more garlic in my meatballs, but all in all, they were good, yes I have a garlic addiction!
google avatar

Reina G.

Yelp
The service is wonderful, but just about everything else is just OK. There is so much wonderful Italian food in Chicago, but to eat just OK food with those prices with a TV in the background playing sports games just seems a bit odd. Are you a sports bar or are you Italian restaurant with well priced Italian food? Another reviewer Jimmy R. couldn't have spelled things out more perfectly when he wrote about the gnocchi, so just cutting and pasting it here: "I've never seen any tomato sauce Gnocchi before, but it seemed like people loved it on other reviews. Can't say I felt anywhere near the same. I had three or four bites and was done. While the individual pieces of gnocchi were good, the sauce and cheese were atrocious. Within 5 minutes, the entire top layer, covered in thick cheese, thickened and stuck together. It became a gnocchi lasagna, with a lack of real genuine attempts of creating complex flavors to bring to the table." When asked if we wanted to take anything home, it was a resounding "NO". I also respect that this place is a neighborhood staple and that perhaps that is why it has all of the rave reviews. I personally just didn't get the vibe and didn't love it.

Yelp
Hungry and ready for anything before a night out, Oggi was the nearby spot that had exactly what my friends and I needed - an open spot for 6 people with great reviews and good Italian food. So there we went, stuffing into a car and taking a short 5 minute drive with ample street parking (paid of course, thanks Chicago). The beautiful decor on the inside with everyone holding their wine glasses let us know we were in the right place. We sat down, and quickly got to work on the menu. Going through it, there weren't many entree choices, which in most cases, mean that what they make, they make GOOD. I noticed the Gnocchi was particularly sticking out online and to me - the thought of chewy goodness filling me up made me the first one ready to order. Calamari was the appetizer of choice for the table, and was absolute spot on and a good sign for the meal to come... ...but waiting 30 minutes for our food magically removed the small shred of happiness I had while anticipating my food. I've never seen any tomato sauce Gnocchi before, but it seemed like people loved it on other reviews. Can't say I felt anywhere near the same. I had three or four bites and was done. While the individual pieces of gnocchi were good, the sauce and cheese were atrocious. Within 5 minutes, the entire top layer, covered in thick cheese, thickened and stuck together. It became a gnocchi lasagna, with a lack of real genuine attempts of creating complex flavors to bring to the table. Instead, I got stuck with something I could make at home in half an hour with a few ingredients from Eately a few miles away. While taking it home by putting it into a tin takeout plate they gave just in case anyone wanted it, it literally moved as one solid piece until *PLOP*. It hit the pan and splattered tomato sauce around it. If you can snag a reservation elsewhere in the city, I would go down that route. But, if you have a big group and need somewhere at the last minute, come here! But beware of the gnocchi lasagna...

Elizabeth S.

Yelp
Sam was a great server. They went above and beyond to make our friend's birthday special. Highly recommend all dishes - everyone had a great time!

Yelp
Order came all wrong. Pasta without sauce whatsoever. Instead of gnocchi we got fetuchini... bland and over cooked. grilled octopus is spicy tasted It's ok. Anyways, $90 in delivery for really bad food. Never again.

Yelp
Stopped in for a quick glass of wine. The Verdicchio was delicious and the service was very prompt and friendly. Can't wait to return and try the food.

Yelp
Let me start off by saying the meatballs here are to die for! I would have been fine with ordering 2 servings of that and I would have been satisfied, tbh. I personally tried the chicken allá oggi which was indeed tasty but it was served differently from what I was expecting. There was no cauliflower or tomato sauce sadly and it seemed more like an olive oil soup. I was really excited to try this dish since I'm low carb and I've been craving Italian food for weeks now. Nonetheless, everything was seasoned nicely and the vegetables were fresh. My husband had the Italian beef that looked absolutely delectable that featured high quality beef that was piled to the sky. His only compliant was that there was no au jus to dip it in since it was on the drier side. He said he would recommend this beef to those who are aren't big fans of dipped beefs because it was pretty delicious. We look forward to trying their pasta the next time we order from there.

Yelp
New location at 1461 W Chicago. Bar is beautiful. Check the new place out. You won't be disappointed !

Yelp
My best friend and I looked high and low for an Italian restaurant during Chicago's restaurant week. We found this restaurant and it was everything! The wine selection that our server helped us pick was amazing I had a moscato that was so sweet and delicious and my best friend had a red wine that he thoroughly enjoyed. For the first round I got the bruschetta and my friend the capese salad. Our meal along with the staff was phenomenal. I had salmon to end the last round and everything tasted of perfection. I will definitely be back to enjoy this restaurant!

Yelp
Oggi is the best Italian restaurant I have ever visited. Once you walk in you feel right at home. Everyone goes out of their way to make your stay feel comfy. The food is so delicious, my personal favorite is the rigatoni. You cannot go wrong with that dish. Overall, I highly recommend you visit!

Amanda G.

Yelp
First we had the appetizer- Burrata, Needed and extra slice of toast so we had to order a slice of toast. When the waiter brings it out, there was a hair on the plate. We didnt make a scene but did point it out and placed another order. The waiter just grabbed the plate. No "I'm sorry or anything. As a matter of fact NO ONE CAME OUT TO SAY SORRY OR ANYTHING! I was very surprised by that. The service was okay, We had 6 people at our table. WE waited over 45 minutes for our food, which maybe would have been okay but there were only 3 other 2 person tables being occupied. I ordered the Rotolo Primavera, It had a very heavy layer of cheese on top basically making it Lasagna. The food was over priced for just being OKAY. It would have been nicer for those prices with maybe a little candle on the table and NO SPORTS being played on the Television. I would have given 3 stars but NO ONE came out to apologize for the hair on the plate! Like they didnt even want to acknowledge it. I will not be coming again and will not recommend this place to anyone.

Yelp
Amazing experience at this family owned restaurant in west town. I had the Chicken Velasco and the best old fashioned in town. Food was great. Service even better. 10/10 would recommend.

Yelp
The hubby and I went for dinner 07/05/24 the food and service were phenomenal. We had the burrata al tartufo and the mussels for starters, and for our main dishes, I had the lasagna, and my husband had the linguine vongole. Both are very delicious! The ambiance was great! Definitely coming back

Yelp
So my daughter and I were visiting the city and when she asked for Italian food I thought this is a good time to try a new spot. This place didn't disappoint, the service was great, the food was great, we started with calamari, the she had fettuccine Alfredo, and I got spaghetti and meatballs, the rolls they brought us after we ordered entrees were fantastic.

Yelp
I ordered Oggi Trattoria for takeout after seeing that they offered Carbonara! I love trying Carbonara anywhere I can. For the price that I paid, I was expecting some quality, but the food had just happened to be "okay." There was a lack of taste and sort of "blandness" that will turn me away from coming back. I could barely make out the taste of meat as I was chewing due to an overwhelming amount of cream in the dish. When I did find the bacon, it didn't even taste fresh. In addition, it had more of a ham taste to me. I did appreciate the bread rolls that they included. Although it tasted much like the rolls that I could buy at Walmart, they were nice to eat with my pasta--I would probably recommend the restaurant to include butter with the rolls. My personal standards for Italian restaurants may be higher than other's standards, and I tried to factor that into my review, but ultimately I had received very average food (that I could've easily made myself) at a high price.

Yelp
We ordered pickup from here last night through DoorDash. Everything was packaged carefully and made it home nice and hot. We got: - oven baked panzerotti (with meatballs, broccoli, & onion) - chicken vesuvio (chicken was mostly tender but could have been juicier and the potatoes were just ok) - Oggi special pasta (tomatoes weren't all that vibrant, nor were any of the seasonings, but the portion was very generous) - Cannoli (definitely had a crunch to it) - tiramisu (strong, bold flavor on this one... our older kid enjoyed it) Everything was nice but fairly simple as far as seasonings and flavors go. It came with some homemade rolls which our toddler enjoyed a lot. They have some nice variety of choices here, but nothing blew us away. If you have a milder palette (or your kids do), this could be a good spot for you.

Yelp
Went to this place for lunch when they "opened" today at 11am since I had a reservation on OpenTable and the door was locked, no lights on and was not actually open. Google says they are open. We waited 7 minutes and nothing changed, Sad we couldn't go!

Yelp
This used to be a good restaurant. It was a classic place before the remodel. There were dirty cups on the table, the appetizer plates were smudged, vodka pasta fingers on our water bottle for the table. The service was lacking, depressing country music, and average food. If you want something good for the expensive price point go somewhere else.

Yelp
Yuck! The best thing about this restaurant is the bread. I ordered the cheese stuffed tortellini. It tasted like the alfredo came from the can and wasn't seasoned except for how it was canned. My partner had stuffed clams and they had a pungent flavor that made me nauseated. It tasted like spoiled ingredients. The breading they put on top was just mush. My partner also ordered the sausage and peppers. The sausage was okay.
