15 Excellent Korean Restaurants in Houston

"What started as a food truck that melded Korean and Tex-Mex flavors has branched out into two local restaurants in the Galleria area and Garden Oak’s Stomping Grounds. Open late at night, Oh My Gogi offers fun fusions like its kimchi quesadillas, a burger built on a homemade ramen bun, and its signature Gogi Melt, a combination of meat seasoned with Korean spices, cheese, and grilled onions on Texas toast. Try the loaded fries — a cheesy pile of French fries topped with your choice of protein, extra spicy mayo, chopped fresh and grilled onions, cilantro, chilled kimchi, and a runny egg." - Brittany Britto Garley

15 Must-Try Houston Food Trucks

"At Oh My Gogi!, food truck finds like tacos, sandwiches, and quesadillas are influenced by Mexican and Korean flavors. Have a kimchi stir-fry melt on Texas toast and add on sriracha sauce or a fried egg, or try the OMG! fries, topped with bulgogi, spicy mayo, onions, and cilantro. The Rice Village location is open until 3 a.m. on weekends, and a second truck can be found at various events throughout the city (Check their Facebook for more info)." - Sean Hekmat, Megha McSwain

The food is amazing! Also, the service is quick, the employees are professional, and the food is reasonably priced. Win, win, win. It’s a Korean/Mexican fusion food truck. If you’re thinking about it, but not too sure, I’d definitely say to give them a try! Even if you’re not an adventurous eater, you can’t go wrong with some loaded French fries 😁

Oh My Gogi! is a vibrant Asian-Mexican fusion food truck that brings together an intriguing blend of flavors and culinary styles. Located in Houston, it offers a unique dining experience for those seeking a fusion twist. While the food is decent, it comes with a higher price point that may not be ideal for budget-conscious diners. It caters particularly well to those craving late-night bites after a few drinks. Here's a breakdown of my experience: The menu at Oh My Gogi! showcases an exciting mix of Asian and Mexican influences, offering a variety of fusion dishes that push the boundaries of traditional cuisines. From Korean barbecue tacos to kimchi quesadillas, the options are intriguing and promise a culinary adventure. The quality of the food is generally good, with fresh ingredients and bold flavors. The fusion concept is executed well, allowing the different components to harmonize and create unique taste profiles. The Korean barbecue tacos, in particular, stood out with their tender meat and flavorful marinades. However, while the food is enjoyable, it may not reach the level of culinary excellence that justifies the relatively higher price point. Oh My Gogi! excels as a late-night food option, especially for those who have indulged in a few drinks. Its convenient location and operating hours make it a popular spot for satisfying late-night cravings. The lively atmosphere, bustling food truck, and quick service contribute to the overall experience. One aspect that might deter some diners is the relatively high price point. Considering it is a food truck, some may expect more affordable options. While the quality of the food justifies a certain level of pricing, it may limit the frequency of visits for budget-conscious individuals. In conclusion, Oh My Gogi! is a solid choice for those seeking a unique fusion dining experience in Houston. With its intriguing blend of Asian and Mexican flavors, it offers an adventure for the taste buds. However, the higher price point may not appeal to everyone, and it may be best reserved for occasional indulgences or nights when you're looking to satisfy your hunger after a few drinks. Note: This review is based on personal experience and subjective opinions. Individual experiences may vary.

Let's get into it!!! Oh my Gogi! This truck is bomb! The guys are super nice. They offer great recommendations if you have trouble picking. LET ME TELL YOU, the Chicken Kimchi Quesadilla, BAAAABY!! It's FIRE!! It had just the right amount of chicken and kimchi. It was packed full of flavor. I could barely eat because everyone kept asking where I got it from and saying that it looked so good! They have a few locations and I would honestly track them down to get another one! I really wanted to try the fried dumplings but they were out. Some friends said the street tacos were fuego too! This food truck really gave me cali vibes and is a winner in my book. You can also find them on IG. Check them out if you like seasoned food!!! Haha!

The fries are great and a great change up when you don’t wanna wait for the yo-yos line. The fries with an egg on top is the way to go. I really wanted to try the ramen burger but they told me it’s rare that they actually serve that item. Why’s it on the menu then? I went right at opening so it’s not like they ran out of items. Weird… Pro tip: eat it quick because it doesn’t travel well if you eat it like 30 minutes later.

In our lifetime, there are only a handful of eateries that are truly near and dear to you. OhMyGogi for us is one of these staples that no matter how far we wander from Houston will ALWAYS hold a special spot in our hearts. This humble little food truck kept us fed all throughout graduate school (when money was definitely tight) and was always reliable! It’s amazing now to come back in town and see how many locations they’ve sprouted up! What we especially love is just how consistent their food is. Over the 7 years since we’ve going, their bulgogi kimchi quesadilla and kimchi fries have withstood the test of time. Also, ALWAYS add an egg to the fries…it adds a wonder layer of creaminess that words can’t describe. Absolutely love that the Rice Village location is open all sorts of late hours which makes them just perfect for the late night munchies. Literally getting hungry as I write this…can’t wait for our next visit to Houston!

omg i'm so glad i decided to give this place a try!! their food is sooo good! the staff is friendly and nice. i heard about this place for a while but it was my first time and the food didn't disappoint. i got the korean tacos and fried dumplings. the thai chili sauce for the fried dumplings is an absolute must. i should've have taken a photo of those yummy dumplings but i ate it all on the way home because i was starving. and the korean street tacos were delicious. eating it right now and it's nice to see that the tacos aren't falling apart and was made with care. it's such a good dinner. kinda feels like im in college all over again. overall i will def come back to try the fries and maybe burgers if i am suuuper hungry.

The Gogi burger and fries are tasty. In hindsight, I think just ordering fries would be good. I wouldn’t go out of my way to eat here but if it’s nearby I’d definitely recommend!

This place used to be soooo good! I remember my first time trying it out, and I fell in love! I always order the ramen burger and the bulgogi fries with an egg, but my most recent visit, it was such a let down. You can’t even tell I ordered a ramen burger. The ramen was beyond burnt and hard to eat. The meat was so salty and rubbery. The fries were basic and did not have the WOW factor that it used to have. I had to add other toppings on it just so I can eat it while I didn’t eat the ramen burger at all. I just picked at the meat that was edible. So upset my last visit was a bust....I hope it will be better next time. Btw, can you even tell that is a ramen burger in my photo...?
