Oh Yeah Banh Mi – International District, Seattle
As a neighbor, I had to check out Oh Yeah Banh Mi, and I’m so glad I did. Owner Kim welcomed me with genuine hospitality, offering samples and sharing her passion for the menu. 🌸
🥪 Banh Mi: I tried the lemongrass beef banh mi. The bread was crisp, the herbs were fresh, and the flavor balanced nicely. Personally, I wished for a stronger lemongrass kick and more sauce to elevate the beef, but overall it was satisfying and light. If you like bold, saucy sandwiches, ask for extras.
🍋 Tea: The fermented lemon ginger tea was unlike anything I’ve had. Instead of tasting medicinal, it had a sweet, almost sugar-like finish—unexpected but not my thing.
☕ The MVP – Vietnamese Coffee: The star here is without question the Vietnamese iced coffee. Bold, creamy, smooth, and unforgettable—it’s the kind of drink that explains why Vietnamese coffee is a cultural staple. One sip and you’ll understand why it’s the talk of the neighborhood.
🌿 Atmosphere: From lotus murals to orchids and a sunlit dining area, the space feels vibrant yet relaxed—perfect for a coffee stop or casual lunch.
✨ Final Take: This is where Seattle foodies should come for standout Vietnamese coffee, a fresh take on banh mi, and a warm welcome from a local business rooted in the International District.
