The 20 Best Restaurants On The Amalfi Coast - Amalfi Coast - The Infatuation

"Dining at Ohimà feels like you’re in a big city rather than on the Amalfi Coast. It looks like it was designed by a high-end stylist thanks to velvet chairs, an industrial bar, and modern art pieces, and was founded by two siblings in the same building where their mother worked for decades as a tailor (hence the restaurant’s name, meaning “hey mom!”). Ohimà pays homage to tradition while looking ahead, so look for a dining experience that spans from Positano to the rest of the world—their lunch menu has local specials like seafood pasta and grilled octopus, but also burgers and pizza. Go for dinner if you want more eclectic combinations like grilled lobster with jamón serrano, marinated melon, and lobster mayonnaise, or free-range teriyaki-glazed chicken with roasted peppers and spring onion." - federica bocco

We had an amazing dinner here towards the end of July 2025. We had the tasting menu with a 3-wine pairing. They were agreeable to only having my husband and I do the tasting menu and our 8 and 10 yo ordered a la carte. They even changed one of the menu item to accommodate my allergies. Service was perfect. The wines were delicious. The food was so good. All the items on the tasting menu were so tasty. My kids pastas were also delicious and fresh. Would highly recommend.

One of our favorite spots during our trip through Italy (it was so good we went twice). Everything from the table bread to the entrées to the desserts was excellent. I had salmon the first night, and it was probably the best I've ever had. Our favorite dish was the tagliatelle with lamb ragù. Incredible flavor combination. The pizza was also delicious.

We had one of our best dinners in Positano at this restaurant, Ohima was absolutely fantastic. The food was great, and our waiter Kenzo went above and beyond to give us a great night- something which was greatly appreciated. We went for the “traditional” 7 course menu and the 3 wine pairing. The two complemented each other perfectly. Kenzo made some fantastic choices on the wine based on what we told him we liked and what was on the menu. The dishes themselves were also exquisite, every dish that came out was better than the one before. I would highly recommend you try this restaurant when you are visiting Positano. I can honestly say it was one of our best experiences.

We had a wonderful evening at Ohima and were genuinely surprised by the low rating—it didn’t reflect our experience at all. The service was warm and impeccable, and the food was absolutely delicious. My husband really enjoyed the beef steak, while I had the lamb ravioli, which was perfectly cooked. I also asked for a salad, even though it wasn’t on the menu, and they kindly accommodated my request without hesitation. Such a lovely touch! We truly had a great time.

My wife and I stayed in Positano two nights and ate at this restaurant both nights. Originally, we came to the restaurant for a drink upstairs. After observing Luigi (the owner/chef) create masterpieces in the open kitchen, we luckily decided to stay and eat dinner. The food was excellent but the staff was even better. Luigi and his staff (Mathan and Kenzo) were very knowledgable but more importantly treated us like family. We ate here one time for the stellar food and an additional time to hang out with our friends, Luigi and his team .

The food was super delicious! All the ingredients were very flavorful and fresh. The passion fruit complemented the shrimp in the risotto nicely. The modern interpretation of the tiramisu was excellent!

Google
Good food and great service. It is rather pricey though (20€ per pizza and 3.50€ cover charge pp) and also the location is at a busy road and despite sitting inside the traffic noise and gasoline smell were a bit annoying. Lovely vibe though with good decor and kind staff :)

Google
The best dinner in all of Positano! The culinary experience was one of the best we’ve ever experienced. I highly recommend doing their tasting menu to truly appreciate and comprehend Luigi’s talent. The staff made our experience even better - they’re beyond knowledgeable, friendly, and approachable for any and all questions. This is a MUST if you are planning on visiting Positano.

Yelp
They were closing however were kind enough to seat 3 of us. We ordered quickly. I had the limoncello sprtiz and lamb ragu ravioli. The spritz was soooo good. Definitely one of the best drinks Ive had in positano. The ravioli was my first pasta dish in italy. It was AMAZING. So delicious. Beautiful restaurant. We sat outside. It was charming.

Yelp
This is easy to get to being in the middle of the city. My wife and I stopped in for lunch and was not disappointed. They take care of you here there is no question about that. The food is good and the views are inherently positano.

Yelp
Came in for lunch on a Monday at around 12:30. We happened to be there on the opening day of the season. They start you off with some bread and olive oil/balsamic. The olive oil/balsamic were simple (and probably just from the supermarket) but it was so good, compared to anything we have back at home in The States. For food, we shared the mixed grilled fish and the gnocchi with zucchini. The mixed grilled fish had swordfish, squid, shrimp, and octopus served on a bed of greens and mandarins. Everything was amazing and tasted fresh, and was perfectly grilled. The squid melted in your mouth. Hubby, who hates swordfish, even said this swordfish was good. The gnocchi was also good, but I feel like some lemon might have brightened up the dish. Overall, a great meal and some of the best seafood we had on this Italy trip.

Yelp
Ohimà was the first restaurant that my friends and I went to upon arriving in Positano. Let me just say, it did not disappoint. We ordered the Paradiso which is one of their gourmet pizzas and it was amazing. I'm not sure I'm allowed to say this, but it was likely my favorite pizza I had during my trip including those I had in Napoli. Still thinking about this pizza now despite the fact that it's 6:00am. We also ordered spritzes and they were some of the best we had during our trip. They had multiple options so we actually came back later for more drinks and dessert which I think is a testament to how much we enjoyed them. The restaurant has both indoor and outdoor seating but I would definitely suggest outside as the atmosphere is perfect and the views are great of Positano. The service we had was superb on both occasions, never wanting for anything and never having to wait.

Yelp
Limoncello spritz just might be my new favorite cocktail, with how many I had here! Most places we originally went to didn't have availability so we were glad to get seated right away here. And to my surprise the food was actually quite tasty! Me and 2 friends did family style and shared a combination of different pastas and a pizza, with the recommendation of staff! Staff were super friendly and definitely had a great eye for the menu and what we would like-would definitely come back here the next time I'm in Amalfi!

Yelp
Excellent food and drinks! Our server Kenzo was great and very friendly. The location is great and we were lucky enough to get a seat at the outdoor patio that was really nice on a sunny day outside. 4 drinks and 2 pizzas was 80€ which was not too bad for the quality of the food and service. I recommend coming here for food or drinks!

Yelp
We tried Ohima after not being able to find The Wine Dark House. We sat outside and enjoyed the fresh air and tourist watching. Shocked to see buses going through these narrow streets. The service was fast, friendly, and kind. The pizzas we ordered (Marinara) were quite large. Though we finished them. Yes, them. They were also very yummy.

Yelp
Stopped in for dinner while visiting Positano. Cute restaurant. Doesn't appear too big but apparently there is an upstairs. Outside patio is across the little street. We sat indoors, 1st floor. Food was pretty good. Drinks very good. Service was on point. Positano has a lot of seafood so this restaurant offered a good choice of non-seafood items which I liked.

Yelp
Well, somebody has to be the outlier. From the looks of things here on yelp it appears that others have enjoyed their experience at Ohimà (actual name: Ohimà Brasserie). It wasn't much to my liking though, which I attribute to several factors. Short-staffing, which my server mentioned at meal's end, meant long waits for service and food and tables left uncleared after guests departed. This, when coupled with Ohimà's priciness was not a winning combination. After a long wait, a single-bite amuse-bouche arrived out of nowhere followed by my seafood dish which appeared to be not much more substantial. The pasta serving wasn't overly generous but if not for the pasta I'd have departed still hungry. Ohimà serves what I dub "precious" food which admittedly isn't my thing. Oddly though, the restaurant directly across the street is also Ohimà and their menu features some more casual offerings (e.g. pizza) that didn't appear on the menu I was given. Apparently one can also order these things in the space I sat in but that was never explained. In this space, it felt like they were aiming for a very upscale offering. Of the 3 dinners I consumed in Positano, Ohimà was my least favorite. Not bad exactly, but memorable for the wrong reasons.

Yelp
This place was pretty good! Nothing outstanding. They seemed short staffed, and the AC was broken. The pizza was good after a long hike (the path of the gods- highly recommend). The sauce was the best part!

Yelp
Best. Pasta. Of. My. Life. We both ordered gluten free pasta here. Mine was in a stewed meat and onion sauce that was to die for. The flavor was out of this world. My husband got a clam pasta with olive oil and garlic and loved it. They also served warm gluten free rolls that were delicious. We mopped our plates with it!

Yelp
This place was near my hotel in Positano and it was always a gold send to see after walking uphill in the heat in a crowd of tourists. The cold drink was welcomed, the pizza delish and the service was friendly!

Olenka P.

Yelp
The food was amazing, had the variazone di agnello laticauda and wagyu italiano dishes, and they were exquisite. The sauces had tons of flavor and cooked to perfection tender and rich in flavor. And the service was splendid welcoming and very nice music not too loud and the decor and colors of the decor are nice on the eyes, all in all amazing and recommended to go and spend a little to eat great.

Yelp
Great Gluten free options! I had lobster pasta and rolls. My husband had seafood pasta. Both were amazing, very nice servers as well.

Yelp
Everything was wonderful! The service. The food and the wine! . It was located in a great spot too!!

Yelp
Awesome place. Great coffee and service was outstanding. I highly recommend this place. I would definitely go back.

Yelp
My gluten free friend highly recommended this spot and it was my favorite restaurant in Positano! The quality of food and service was impeccable. My particular group had no dietary restrictions however it was lovely how much flexibility and transparency the menu had. It felt so nice to be welcomed as a larger group without a reservation and we'll be back!

Yelp
First time in Positano and found this place for breakfast. It was amazing! Our waiter Princepe was a pleasure. We ended up back here the next day for lunch. Simone is the best! He suggested amazing food and drinks! So later on in our stay we tried their dinner. Oh my! Fabulous! The owner Luigi and his wife Julia are so sweet! Simone and Vin took great care of us each time we continued to go, which was probably around 5 times during our stay. I can not say enough good things about the food, drinks, service and staff. It is a must try whether it's breakfast, lunch, dinner or just drinks. Simone is the best bartender the world has to offer! When I make it back to Positano I will return!

Yelp
Food was great and fairly priced. Kenzo our server could not have been nicer. Very modern and nice atmosphere

Yelp
We enjoyed a great lunch in the outside pavilion across the street. The service and food was great.

Yelp
Delicious and doesn't have terrible wait times. Service was outstanding. Food presentation was well-done, too. Ate here 2 days in a row

Yelp
Delicious and inventive dishes. Great service -kind people with excellent English. This place is upscale, with a very elegant setting. We went there for the amazing cocktails and a fancy dessert. They care about impressing you. The barman / bartender in particular was a very gracious host. The place opened Spring 2018 so they are building their reputation. Open for aperitifs / cocktails from 3-6pm. Dinner 6-11pm.

Yelp
My best meal in Positano (I was a a Michelin 1 star restaurant and beach front restaurant the days before). The Coffee rubbed lamb sirloin and pizza were phenomenal. However the best part was the wine service.... Unassuming but exceptional ambiance and dining experience. Strongly recommend.

Tori R.

Yelp
Fantastic service. Great wine. Great music. So happy we stumbled upon. Simone is the best server.
google avatar

Michelle R.

Yelp
What a fun experience. Simone "the mixologist" was so entertaining behind the bar. I'd suggest letting him create you a custom cocktail. They don't disappoint. Food was amazing as well as the ambiance. Loved the meatballs! They have a tapas menu in addition to the regular menu.

Yelp
Out of all of the restaurants we visited on the Amalfi coast, this was our favorite. The service is truly the reason for that. They were phenomenal; kind, engaging, and thoughtful. The food and wine was delicious. I recommend making reservations ahead of time by phone call.

Danielle H.

Yelp
My boyfriend and I have been staying in the Amalfi Coast for 7 days now, and this is by far the best restaurant that we've been to. The food was amazing, it surpassed our expectations that we had when coming to Italy. The service was great, our waiter was so friendly. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone EVER!!
google avatar

Yelp
What an incredible evening! Amazing food, cocktails and wine! The entire staff are incredible! Friendly and engaging with many great suggestions! We had a fish appetizer that was delicious, followed by two pasta dishes that were equally tasty! Then a Smokey cocktail handcrafted by the head bartender that was a perfect "Happy Ending"!! Highly recommend this place

Yelp
We stumbled upon this little gem late Monday night. It was after 10pm and they were the only restaurant still opened in Positano near our hotel. The service was beyond amazing. The bartender was extremely pleasurable and a great host. The cocktails and local beers were amazing. For appetizers, my fiancé and I shared a cheese board and meatballs. Both were superb. Our main entree consisted of the fried squid and chicken. Again we were completely satisfied with our dinner entrees. Definitely a restaurant we plan on returning too.

Marina M.

Yelp
This is a great bar to come to! The bartender Simone is lots of fun and is able to curate unique cocktails for everyone that are not apart of the original menu. They're all delicious! Would definitely recommend visiting during your stay in Positano :)

Rebecca L.

Yelp
Great food, beautiful presentation, chic ambiance and unpretentious service! This would be one of my hangouts if I lived here.
