Oishi Noodle Bar

So, my lady and I decided to embark on an early dinner adventure. We eagerly ordered what sounded like a feast fit for kings: the Perfect Korean Chicken Wings, Shumai, Kara'age Garlic Chicken Ramen, HM Pork Belly Ramen, and a duo of refreshing sodas to wash it all down. But alas, our culinary journey hit a few bumps along the way. Upon our grand entrance, we were met with a less-than-grand greeting – a distant voice instructing us to plop ourselves down wherever we pleased. Our hopes for a warm welcome were dashed quicker than you can say "appetite." As we settled in, our hopes of a refreshing sip were crushed by the lukewarm water served to us. Lukewarm water? More like lukewarm reception, am I right? Now, onto the main event: the food. The Perfect Korean Chicken Wings were indeed seasoned to perfection and fried with finesse. But alas, the wings themselves seemed to have seen better days. Note to self: fresh wings are the wing to go! My lady managed to find solace in the comforting embrace of the garlic chicken ramen broth. However, the chicken itself left much to be desired. The chunks resembled more of a culinary misstep than a masterpiece, leaving our eyes less than impressed. As for my pork belly ramen, well, let's just say it was as dry as the Sahara and about as fresh-tasting as last week's leftovers. But wait, it gets worse! Just as we were contemplating our dining experience, we noticed something quite alarming – the exterminator casually setting traps and laying bait while unsuspecting diners like us were trying to enjoy their meals. Talk about a buzzkill! Seriously, who thought it was a good idea to have extermination in progress while patrons were trying to eat? Note to restaurant management: extermination and digestion don't mix well – like oil and water, or in this case, like rodents and ramen. In conclusion, while the food had its moments, the overall experience left much to be desired. Here's hoping for warmer welcomes, fresher wings, and pest-free dining in the future. Cheers to culinary adventures, even if they come with a side of unexpected surprises!

Nice spot, clean, polite staff. Food is crazy good, got the pork belly and chicken buns for an app. Then my wife and I got Tontonmen ramen and the kid made her own. Huge portions, fresh ingredients I highly recommend this place and will 100% be returning!!!

We had been here for dinner. While we were seated quickly, there was a very long wait for the food to get to us. We ordered the rock shrimp appetizer. It was crispy and sweet, good flavors. For the mains, we got the garlic karaage chicken Ramen and special ebi udon noodles. Both the dishes were good except the fact that karage chicken ramen was slightly bitter in taste. Although garlic broth was used to make the ramen, it doesn't have to be bitter. Also I would have loved to leave a handsome tip but the owners were insecure and they added the gratuity beforehand. We never came to know what our actual bill was as there was no receipt.

We had the vegetarian bao which was crispy and covered in a delicious sauce. All of the pickeled vegetables were perfectly prepared and the bun was soft and fresh. The homemade pork belly ramen was also delicious. The broth was perfectly seasoned and the noodles cooked just right. Plenty of fresh vegetables to go with it. The cocktails were also delicious. I had the sweet tea potpourri. I came hungry and I wasnt able to finish everything but it was soo good. Service was also stellar. Our server checked in regularly and was attentive to our needs. The vibes were lovely with comfortable chairs and a nice view of third Ave. We will be coming back here!

Good menu, not too many choices, just enough. The portions are plentiful and the quality is great. My wife and i enjoyed all that we ate, the service was quick and friendly. Good for foodies, date night, and drinks. They have a really good cocktail list, they are made in the bar behind the restaurant.

Great food, reasonable prices, portions are good sized, good ambiance and vibes from the staff and customers. I wouldn’t say it’s the best food I’ve ever had but it’s pretty damned good considering the location/neighborhood it is in. It may seem unfair to say but it’s because NYC has WAY TOO MANY amazing ramen shops, especially Manhattan. However, it is definitely a food stop worth visiting and spending your money at. You won’t regret it. The thing that does win here which I have never tasted before? Their cauliflower. I have never had cauliflower that tasted so gosh darned good before in my LIFE! I could just order three orders of them for a meal (or as a movie snack) and be 100% content. It’s “healthy” and tasty, great mouthfeel, salty, sweet, savory, spicy, and in fun, bite-sized pieces. What’s not to like? I’ll be back again in the future to try their other menu items. 🥰

I had the Yuzu Ramen. It was delicious. The ingredients were so fresh and it wasn’t too salty. The spice level was just right. It was the best, most unique ramen I ever had. Nice decor, friendly staff, reasonable prices. The rest of the menu looks very appetizing as well. I can’t wait to come back and try some other things.

My stepbrother and I went back to back for dinner and the service was spot on both times. Our server was awesome and recognized us on night 2, the portions are huge and the prices are low. Amazing bao buns, amazing ramen, and amazing rice bowls. Visit Oishi for a laid back budget friendly meal that's welcoming.

I was in between a 3 or a 4 but ultimately, the lack of cleanliness threw me off. We ordered Korean Fried Chicken and a big indicator that it will not taste like Korean Fried Chicken is the amount of sesame they put on it. They also keep the extended wing part of the chicken flat, which is unusual for korean fried chicken. The crunch and sauce is somewhat similar at least. But that's not what threw me off. The door was locked when we got there half a hour before closing. The waiter was on her phone and didn't give us any plates after serving us the chicken. There were no other tables that needed helping, she simply just didn't give us any plates. When we asked for it the plates had multiple finger prints that threw me extremely off. It was as if the plate was never washed and I can see multiple oily thumb prints throughout the plate, I started to get paranoid and doubt what was floating alongside the ice in my water as well. The niku don was good. The meat was almost half my bowl so the portions were good. The noodles were boiled to the perfect amount of softness. The broth wasn't heavy, it was sweet and clear. However, the broccoli was super bitter. It was too green to the point where it was brownish. The egg tasted like it was not fresh but i'm not sure how those are usually prepared. It seemed like it was marinated for a while, the yolk wasn't runny but it has gooey texture.

Going based on communication with the front of the house . This dude had no personality . He called me "YO" when referring to me. lol I k own it's Brooklyn but buy me a beer first MR YO? I'll be back when I try the Ramen soup

The pork belly bao buns were so unbelievably tasty. They knocked out all my previous pork belly and bao bun experiences. Um, can you bottle the Yakiton sauce for me!? Pretty please? Our server was beyond pleasant and unintrusive. Love the bespoke chilled glass water bottle to pour from. I usually hate QR code menus, but this one was very readable, with a very easy to decipher flashing camera emoji to link to photos of the food: SO SMART! A picture says it all. So, yeah, I orderered the vegetarian Yuzu Ramen based almost entirely on the picture. I am not sure if I actually like the Yuzu flavor, but then once I dug in, I completely forgot that part, as I apparently have no clue what yuzu tastes like! Didn't notice it at all, which was kinda disappointing, but this really may have been my palate's fault! The Kakiage Tempura was interesting - the crispy aspect of it kind of failed inside the hot broth, turning to more mush consistency. I liked the bright colors, layered flavors, and noodles. I would try something different next time. Or just try to hoard all the bao buns!

Pretty good, got some unique taste. Portions are good. Price is somewhat expensive for ramen but can't argue when they provide good portion's. Appetizers are pretty savory and new. I recommend the chicken wings, it's sweet, savory, and addicting. The decor inside is nice with cute graffiti style flowers. The menu is a QR code with pictures on almost all the items. They also plan on having more food items on the menu. Definitely going to try it later. Overall a good experience.

The environment of the restaurant was very peaceful. One could say borderline surreal because of the music they played. Very mellow. The food was delicious. We got the Yuzu Ramen and the Chicken Garlic Ramen. One of the best bowls of ramen, top 5 for sure, that I've had so far but definitely on the pricier side for the dish. Otherwise the service was great. We will definitely be back someday!

Very nice place. Good service. Ordered pork ramen and beef noodles, also 2 bao, so delicious and yummy. Also like the stuff and lite music accompaniment during the lunch

The food never misses . Always fresh and unbelievably delicious . The guy Mark that works there is phenomenal . Remembers what you ordered the last time and anticipates things you may need before you even think to ask . The ambiance is calm and the interior has a fun mural style design all around that suits the vibes . Highly recommend . Def one of the best ramen spots in Bayridge !

If I had my own restaurant, THIS is what I would want it to be like. Excellent food. Kind and helpful staff that makes you feel welcome. Spotless bathroom. Technology that works and helps me pay and get out the door quickly. That's it in a nutshell, but I must say, the food was excellent and professionally prepared. For me as a solo customer on an early lunch trip, I ordered 2 apps. That's it. Some might say pricey at $15 each, but I say, well worth it! The Korean wings are simply the best, and ample (about 5 pieces) that include 2 big drum sticks. Seasoning and presentation. Perfect. same with my spicy Shrimp buns. I'm not a big "bun" person, but many these were spot on. Everything arrived as I requested it (Wings first) and I ended up taking 2 wings home. Really nice people that care about the food they are putting out. I'm so glad an happy that Covid did not claim this place because I was worried there when they first were getting off the ground. I highly recommend it, and as a nice spot for a small family get together too.

Altho it's the best ramen in bay ridge, it's kinda pricey for their portion size. I was calling their number on Tuesday to ask questions, but it kept going through their automated voice system saying today is Monday. And yes I called after 5pm I tried calling until 5:20pm to the point I gave up and I decided just to walk there hoping it was open. Their Kara'age Chicken is pretty tender however deff not worth $12. I do like their homemade pork belly ramen. My brother enjoyed his experience better than I did. He likes spicy so he ordered Pork Belly Nattsu Noodles (Chilled) and it's sometime you don't find it other ramen places. So if you like spicy and want to try sometime new he recommends it. I was disappointed with my take out order. My brother ordered a slice of cake to go. When we go home to try it out the whole bottom later or cake was missing and a piece of cream from the top. Mind you I paid $8 for this slice of cake that was missing pieces of it. On the side note, the staff are super friendly. They give these cute little cups to the little ones. My son was soooo happy with the cup.

Operating out of the old Kimchee Korean restaurant, Oishi Noodle Bar is connected to the beloved Townhouse275. Ramen and fancy cocktails FTW. Pro tip: Get a rice bowl [$14]. I've only had the Kara'age Avocado but I'm already dreaming about going down the list of rice bowls and trying each one. That crispy chicken - it was straight money. If you've had KFC or know what KFC looks like- it's that, but 100x juicier and crisper and not fast food gross. The price point to portion size was very fair. I was satiated and happy, it was like a bowl of comforting hugs. I also had the vegetable gyoza [$9] which was super crispy and filled with a variety of veggies. There were about 7 gyoza to a serving. Lastly, dessert. I'm a sucker for things served in glass jars, mason jars, any kind of jar. It's just a great vessel for serving layered foods. Anyway, the Ricotta & Pistachio [$8] dessert was a good PS to the meal and an unexpected departure from a typical Japanese or Japanese inspired dessert. It was light and delicately sweet. Again, can't wait to go down the list of desserts. I'm really psyched to check out the ramen and noodle dishes as well as the buns. Oishi Noodle Bar is a great addition to Bay Ridge. *I'm not sure why this page says 'delivery offered' - it does not yet.

Finally, a ramen spot in Brooklyn that can compare to the ones in Manhattan. This was my second visit here. I didn't care much for the pork broth last time, so I decided to build my own ramen for $18. I chose ramen noodles, veggie yuzu broth, pork belly, bamboo, mushrooms, and marinated egg. I really enjoyed the broth this time. The pork belly was cooked perfectly and they were generous with all the toppings. Very friendly service as well. I'll definitely keep coming back for more!

There is a perfect marriage on view in Bay Ridge on 94th @3rd: Townhouse 275/Oishi Noodle Bar...or Oishi Noodle Bar/ Townhouse 275. They're in sync, perfect harmony and they're still in their newlywed phase. Oishi's is an authentic Japanese Noodle Bar that just opened this past Spring. Townhouse 275 is a great speakeasy serving delightful cocktails. The owners of these two marvels are BayRidgians. I was referred to these two by my fellow Brooklyn Elite Yelpie, Felisa. She raved about the food, cocktails abd chill vibe when we attended Money Cat IRL. Thus, my friends and I chose it for our monthly cocktails get together. We decided to sit and dine in Townhouse 275.. you see you can dine at Oishi's and order cocktails from T275 and vice versa. T275 is chill and has extended farmhouse table, booths or regular tables to sit at. We chose the booth which was situated across the bar. We were given menus for both establishments. I'll start with T275 cocktail menu. There are classic cocktails @$12 a pop and Summer Specials @$14 a pop. One of my friends has enjoyed cocktails here before and ordered her fave, Our Manhattan: apple infused bourbon, sweet vermouth, Luxardo cherry and angostura. I love Margaritas and ordered the Shanghai Margarita which consists of Cointreau, tequila with fresh minced ginger, agave nectar and lime. I liked it ( am still a bit under the weather so I couldn't really taste it ) but will have to order it again to realllly taste it. ( I've enclosed pics from website showing the variety of marvelous cocktails). My other friend ordered the Malbec and loved it. Hats off to Tim for mixing great drinks and a cool conversationalist. More about Tim a bit further down. We shared the Fried Cauliflower in a tangy sauce that had a great kick to it. Now the food menu, if you love ramen and Udon then you are going to love Oishi's. Entrees include Rice, Udon and Ramen. You can build your own ramen: choose broth or no broth, protein and toppings included are: mushrooms, ginger, marinated egg, scallions and bean sprouts. We all chose the Karaage Chicken Ramen: the broth was a velvety concoction with garlic and the chicken was out of this world. The bowl is hearty and plentiful. Desserts consist of pumpkin cheesecake, amaretto and what we all shared To Ecuador with Love: classy chocolate layer cake. Now back to Tim; a cool cat who loves jazz and his selection of music ranges from Duke Ellington to Trombone Shorty. The music was epic.. Oishi's/ T275 is a great place to relax, dine and have a great night out with friends. It certainly feels like the Brooklyn version of the Blue Note ( with better food!)

Burnt vegetables...frozen ramen bought in the supermarket...and the owner does not accept criticism from others, I like him to try an order with 3/2 inedible burnt broccoli, and I will definitely not patronize next time. I often go everywhere Eat, this one definitely fails

Interior design is nice. I thought the carved wood qr code was unique and creative. Food presentation was nice too. Server was nice. We each ordered our appetizers that I didn't get the chance to take a photo of. We ordered the gyoza, pork belly and chicken buns. It was a tad bit expensive for the price of one bun so we got the $10 deal for two. We also got the Shrimp & Kakiage Tempura Udon, Kara'Age Avocado Rice Bowl, and Niki Udon Noodles. The food was okay. We thought that both the udon bowls were a bit too salty and lacked flavor. We actually found a piece of hair in one of the udon bowls - it got taken off our bill after we told our server. The avocado bowl was good according to my friend that ordered it. Gyoza was good with the sauce. The cocktails looked interesting but we didn't get to try so we might come back for that next time (it's almost $14 per cocktail). The dessert menu looked interesting as well but we didn't get to try because they ran out. Overall, it wasn't a terrible experience. Nothing over the top except for the tad bit of over pricing (not sure if this is a location thing that caused it the food & drinks to be pricey). Definitely would recommend coming here if you're extremely hungry and have a palette that has less sensitivity to sodium.

Excited to finally have a ramen spot in bay ridge !!! We had two different entrees , the Niku Udon noodles - this one as with thinly sliced beef , and onions , had a sweet taste to it The other was the Kara'age Garlic chicken noodles - I loved this one ! The chicken was perfect ams it had a better tasting broth I do think they are a bit over priced , otherwise a great spot Came back to try the limited item : shrimp udon ... so good

Incredible food and service! The drinks are also amazing. They have a beer that is a Pilsner with jasmine brewed in it. Also the cocktails are incredible. It's pricy but if you looking for a beautiful night out where the food, drinks and service are going to be outstanding you will not be disappointed here

I hadn't eaten in a restaurant in a long time so I was anxious. It seems weird to review the ventilation system at a restaurant, but the air actually moves here, and I was instantly comfortable because of that. The owner and staff are very welcoming and friendly. The staff suggested the Niku udon and it was devastatingly good. The broth was complex and rich and i know it's cliche, but it really did feel like a hug. The buns and dumplings were incredibly high quality and tasty. I loved the fried rice as well. The desserts are decadent: we split and fought over the red velvet cake but were too full to get more. Drinks come quickly from Townhouse 275 next door. Just shut your eyes and point to any cocktail on the menu. Every drink I've ever had there feels special. Favorites are the lemon cherry one and the mojito. The restaurant was filling up as we finished so we had a nightcap outside at the bar next door. If you've missed going out to eat, oishi is a perfect reentry.

The food and service is unbelievable! Best wings I've ever had hands down. Please order them! The atmosphere is low key but trendy. Mark remembers you and treats you like a friend. Highly recommend!

Yayyy thank goodness we got some more variety in Bay Ridge!! Oishi Noodle Bar is a welcomed addition, with good Japanese comfort food and fantastic cocktails. We got the pork belly buns which were delicious. Kara'age Garlic Chicken ramen and Raisu Curry with kara'age (fried chicken). The fried chicken is nicely spiced and flavorful. Curry had a good flavor, not watery. Service was great. The owners were also eating there that night and were super friendly, sharing their champagne with us. I can't wait to come back and try the desserts!

Alondra and Timothy are absolutely AMAZING! So sweet and had great smiles ! Patience is a virtue!! Each drink that was made was absolute magic when you see it made at the bar ! Bar seats are a must of you prefer to watch the drinks being made while waiting for your food order. "Pork Belly Bun" (seared pork belly, steamed pillowy bun, cucumber, yuzu sauce, yakiton) appetizer had such great flavor ! Very good ! "Raisu Curry Rice" (Japanese brown curry, onions, Japanese rice, red ginger, & added Unagi (eel) all delicious! Finished the whole plate ! There's a secret menu for dessert! Ask for the raspberry dessert that is not on the menu ! Highly recommend you will not regret your taste buds ! Can't wait to come back ! Thanks for the amazing food experience !!

It gets five stars because there isn't a lot of strong competition in Bay Ridge. We dropped in on a lovely spring evening and sat at an outside table. There was great ventilation inside the restaurant, all the windows and doors were wide open, it was practically like dining al fresco if you wanted to go that route. The food was really good, especially the ramen. I built my own vegetarian ramen and thought the broccolini was a great topping. My husband and son had the regular broth with pork belly and loved theirs. I'm glad this restaurant is here, we will definitely go back! The service was really good and our waiter was really patient with our son and other kids that were having big feelings inside.

Food was delicious! Love the details in the decoration and the service. Water comes in a old glass whiskey bottle, the QR code for the menu has a cute ramen bowl in the center and is in a cute wooden card in the center of the table, and the menu is simple but cute. They also have a large selection of cocktails. We had the Veggie buns, pork belly buns, fried pork gyoza, shumai and gyudon. Everything was tasty, perfect temp and a good portion size. The waiter was absolutely lovely and the service was quick. Will be returning soon for sure!

Really happy about this addition to Bay Ridge! I've lived in Bay Ridge for all my life and it needed a ramen spot that serves perfectly cooked noodles in a complex and flavorful broth with a delicately cooked egg. I've stopped by multiple times and it is comparable to some of the better ramen places in the city. Definitely would recommend people to come drop by and give it a try. I came by myself today, after the soft launch (where I had the homemade pork belly ramen), to try the karaage, ramen, and roasted garlic broth in one fell swoop. It did not disappoint. The chicken was moist and the breading was thin and crispy. Stop by Townhouse 275 for a drink afterwards where Tim will happily walk you through the cocktail list, which often makes use of his housemade infused alcohol. His milkshake will definitely inspire you to make your own one day.

Love this place! Such a perfect union of ramen and craft cocktails. I ordered the Kara'age Garlic Chicken Ramen. The broth was creamy and complex. It wasn't overwhelmed by too much sodium like a lot of Ramen I've had. The fried crispy chicken was perfection. I brought a friend from out of town who made me promise to bring her here every time she comes to Brooklyn. The cocktails were imaginative and delicious. This is a welcome addition to the neighborhood and I highly recommend checking it out.

Service was unpleasant, food is just mid at best..way too expensive for what it is. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone.

I have only ordered from here. So here's my review. I LOVE Ramen, and this place is NOT IT. The ramen doesn't have a good flavor to it. The pork in the soup is small and not good. They also only give you half an egg ! Then, charge you more money, almost $2 for the other half of your egg. I found a way better spot on bayridge called Tanoshi. I forgot the exact location, but it's in the 70s and on 5th Avenue.

Just outstanding. The atmosphere, the staff and the food! We tried the pan seared pork dumplings, the yuzu ramen and the pork belly nattsu noodles. Amazing flavors. All of it! Looking forward to going back and trying more of everything!

Tried this place for the first time. Food was outstandingly good. Nice seasoning and fresh tasting. I had two different types of buns. One was a pork bun and it was delicious and the other was veggie tempura. I will go back again soon. Be patient they just opened and folks working there a are new

I went to try this place out for the first time at lunch yesterday, and I was the only person there. When I sat down, the server came over with water and I asked for some green tea "We don't have tea" the server said. I said, "hmm, that's weird for an Asian place not to have tea." No response, nothing. She just said nothing. NO smile, no explanation. Okay, I'll just have water. Menu was on a scan card and several minutes after I looked at it ( the server was on the phone, ignoring me) she came over. I ordered the sesame soba. She goes into the kitchen , comes over and says "We dont have sesame soba." I said, "well what kind do you have?" and get this.. she says " You have to look at the menu." So incredibly rude. I asked her, cant you just tell me what you DO have?" She gets out her iPad and starts scrolling through it , and I just went, you know what? Forget this place. Uncaring, unsmiling, un professional. Really? You treat your only customer at lunch that way? Guess what, Oishi, you cant afford to have someone like this working for you. Skip this place.

Every time I come here to eat I am not only greeted by their server Kristen upon walking in but their chef Emira comes out and welcomes me as well ! Aside from the very welcoming staff the food is AMAZING Warm, comforting, filling and full of flavor Not to mention every dish is Instagram worthy presentation wise I love coming here

Sadly I only got a chance to try the Kara age Garlic chicken ramen. All I can say is WOW. A RELIGIOUS experience to say the least. And don't forget to ask for the red chili oil. Staff is on point. Good looking and friendly. I can't wait to go back with friends and a bigger appetite. Sure it's a little pricey but has anyone shopped for groceries lately. Well worth it. Quality fresh ingredients, flavortown.

Awesome little place! We weren't sure it was open because the front of the restaurant is still under construction, but we were guided to enter through the Townhouse275 entrance around the side. Great little bar, cozy, although I was there to eat :-) The food was excellent - we tried a couple of appetizers (kara'age and gyoza), which were both spot on, and then on to a few rice bowls and ramen. The pork belly in the ramen was tender and well seasoned, the broth just the right balance of salty and full bodied. The rice bowls were great - my son and I did a split of the kara'age and avocado and chahan fried rice bowl. Both were well executed and had a good portion of food. Will definitely return to try out the rest! Reading reviews on Townhouse now I regret getting a bottle of beer and not a cocktail, but that's on the agenda for the next visit.

Crispy Cauliflower Florets were delicious. Side of Broccolini was ok, tastes as expected. Kara'age Garlic Chicken Ramen was good, ended up being a little too salty by the end. Yuzu Ramen tasted like boiled lemonade. Too strong. Great service.

Awful experience. Staffs are arrogant and lazy. The food are overpriced for no good reason. The ramen was not even good, way too salty with stingy amount of toppings.

We ordered here for the first time. Really delicious flavors. I ordered the build your own ramen with veggie broth, veggie tempura, ginger, and an egg. It's comfort food without the guilt. This is probably a good lunch spot.

I visited this place with 2 friends and were almost robbed. Our starters were brought out quickly, but it all goes down from there. We waited around 45 minutes for our ramen, and when it finally came out, the waiter dropped the bill onto our table immediately and walked away. The worst part was that when he charged us, he gave himself a 20% tip without any notice, we only found out because I found it weird that he didn't pass the POS back to me for tip, so I asked for a receipt of the final transaction. When I questioned why he did that he stumbled on his words claiming there's an automatic 20% tip for bills over $100, ours was just below this. I asked him to show me where this is said, and he just refunded the transaction and charged me again, still not handing over the POS for me to sign or add a tip. Now I'll be watching my credit card transactions to make sure he didn't pull something again. The waiter wore a man bun, careful anyone else being served by this guy.

Absolutely amazing! Everything is fresh, perfectly balanced and truly delicious!! There should be a word for the joy of sitting down to a special meal like this. I would recommend a dish, but almost everything is out if this world. The Kara age anything is not be missed, and the pork belly ramen is in a class all it's own. Enjoy!!

GO HERE ASAP! My husband and I went for dinner and had an absolutely wonderful experience. The atmosphere was relaxing yet very fun. The food was delicious. I didn't get any pictures because it was so good we dug right in. We ordered the pork belly buns to start and they were ...chef's kiss... out of this world. They were tender and juicy with the most delicious char to the edges with a crispy bite. Then we got the pork belly ramen which was fatty and stick to your ribs delicious. I recommend getting an extra egg to make the broth even tastier. We also got the Japanese Curry and added the chicken for protein. That chicken....out of this world! Sooooo crispy on the outside but cooked to perfection. It wasn't dry at all! The curry itself packed such a flavorful punch. Not too spicy but just perfect. My husband got two of the sake that they had today and he enjoyed them both! The service was also amazing. The gentleman helping us gave us great recommendations and was so extremely helpful. So please, run, don't walk. Go there soon!

Delicious food buns apps and noodle dishes as well as amazing cocktails. Moreover the desserts are great. Kudos to mark the manager who put up with our countless requests for cutlery and commentary on the good choices. Will definitely be back!

Came to Oishi this evening for the second time after loving our first experience. Unfortunately our fried rice was so overwhelmed by the amount of pepper in it. I could visibly see the pepper when it was brought to the table and thought it seemed off but worth a try. We were told that this was standard for the dish but upon looking through other diner's photos of the shrimp fried rice now I can see without question that this was an error with our dish. I wish an attempt had been made to remedy the situation. Our ramen, which had also been perfectly spiced the first time, was excessively peppered this time. Wanted to keep coming back but would be careful in the future.

Wings were great. Decor inside is super cute and roomy. Service was very slow. Waited a little over an hour for a small bowl of ramen. $23 ramen dish arrived with a total of 2 shrimps. The flavor was great, but the price was not. Don't regret going but wouldn't make a second trip.

We did delivery the other day and it was amazing! Prices can be a bit high but I'd say the food is very high quality. We got ramen and the fried chicken. The packaging and delivery was great!

Stopped by this gem in Bay Ridge while visiting friends. Food and service is top notch and they have the best cocktails. Tried the Kara'age Garlic Chicken Ramen, which was delicious. Definitely will be back!

I had been so excited to try this place ever since I saw the banner go up, and holy cow do I wish I came sooner!!! Everything was so tasty and flavorful! Shout-out to the pork belly buns, so so tasty!!! I agree that the prices are slightly high, but I don't think anyone is going to be disappointed.

The owner of the restaurant is amazing. I called after delivery was over and he delivered my ONE ramen dish himself. What a class act and the food was delicious! Bay Ridge really needed a ramen restaurant, so glad Oishi arrived!

Stay away for now is the only way I would sum up this place after having visited there last night with my family. First off service is very very ssslowwww so if you are a bit starving , you will be hangry till you get your first bite of whatever you ordered. Secondly, you will hear constant bickering from kitchen staff if you are seated anywhere near the kitchen and you won't be able to carry on a conversation within your own group. I wasn't sure what they were yelling about to each other but it had to do with orders and what they had available in the kitchen and ingredients and how long it takes for something, blah blah anyway it was very distracting for us. The place is not that loud so you will hear them. Karage chicken was well karage chicken so I wouldn't say that it was good or bad, just standard edible. We have been to many Japanese Ramen joints in nyc and I will confidently say this place would only be 5 out of 10 if 10 was the best score achievable. Next ee had different kinds of buns with different toppings in them and it was not bad but then elsewhere they are about the same. Finally we had our main course which of course is the Ramen. My tantan Ramen was okay but my wife's Ramen was very salty so she had to water it down with drinking water that was given in a bottle of bourbon whiskey which must be their deco thing. We didn't bother trying to talk to waiter because everything was in like slo-mo although the guy was trying. We have nothing to complain about waiter service because ultimately it's the restaurant's fault for not hiring enough staff on hand to serve customers and bang out food quickly from the kitchen and importantly people want to have conversation with their own group and not overhear kitchen conversation. So on that front, they failed miserably. Oh BTW our karage chicken was supposed to be comped due to it being less than a full order portion since they ran out of it. That is what the waiter told us and that he would not charge for it since he let us know that it's not a full order. But after paying and getting the receipt and being on the way home, we noticed that he did not remove the charge for karage. I mean that's not gonna break our bank but don't promise something that's not gonna happen. And our cocktails were ok although the old man behind the bar is not friendly at all and has a condescending stance when giving you drinks and was very curt. So we are back to ground zero with our available choice in bay ridge when it comes to Japanese Ramen which is definitely not this place.. or at least until they work out monumental shortfalls they have to overcome. Unfortunately it was a bitter experience for us so we won't be waiting to see that happen
