The Newest Restaurants In Chicago

"Like its sister restaurant next door, Oishii Asian & Ramen Hub is small and casual. But instead of the affordable sushi you’d find at Toro, this Lincoln Park spot serves bowls of the ramen, rice, and poke variety, plus snacks like bao buns and karaage chicken. " - john ringor, veda kilaru, nick allen

This is where indulgence meets sustainability, thoughtful presentation, and the pure joy of great food. Being lazy, I ordered delivery, and to my surprise, the ramen tasted just as if I were dining in. The packaging alone was so well done that I would have paid extra for it. Even before taking a bite, the aroma was incredible. Every ingredient blended perfectly, creating an explosion of flavor in every bite. I finally checked off another must-visit spot on my list, and I’m so glad I did. Do yourself a favor and try this place—I think you’ll love it!

Stumbled upon this place on a rainy day and I’m glad. It was a peaceful and cute environment to stop by for a meal. I used the tablet to order, but the worker was kind and friendly and made sure to ask if I needed anything. I wasn’t that hungry so I ordered two appetizers, the chicken buns and crab rangoon. The chicken buns had chicken katsu which was a first for me, but they tasted delicious and it had a nice crunch to it. Very flavorful. I am a crab rangoon lover and it passed my flavor profile. Creamy because of the cream cheese, but had enough crab to balance it out. I look forward to eating here again to try the poke bowl and ramen!

I really enjoyed the Curry Ramen but my wife's Spicy Garlic Miso wasn't spicy. Nice clean place. Will visit again.

My girlfriend and I have come here twice, the environment is peaceful and the food is delicious. It also reasonably priced compared to other ramen places and the portions are great for the prices. Will come to this place many more times.

Staff was really nice and the Bogo deal was worth it. Ordered the Tonkatsu broth ramen with Shrimp Tempura and plating was great. The seasoned egg had a good runny yolk, beansprouts and bamboo shoot added a nice crunch along with the tempura. The noodles, however, were overcooked (in the sense that it didn't have that nice chewy bite). All in all though, for the deal and price, it's worth it. Plus they give 20% off student discount.

Ordered food for pickup. Seamless online experience. Food and ingredients were fresh, delicious, and as advertised. Staff was super friendly. Highly recommend supporting this family run restaurant and new addition to Lincoln Park.

Yelp
We were ordering a semi-late dinner for delivery so wanted something that was not too far. Food arrived quick and hot. We both ordered ramen with chicken katsu and both came with a TON of chicken. Portions were generous overall. Would return.

Yelp
Got a surprise bag order from here and ended up with a chicken fried rice and a hot and sour soup. The chicken fried rice was good in a generic way, sort of like Panda Express or a mall food court but a little better. Filling, but nothing special. The bowl was a fair-sized portion but very skimpy on the chicken. Only a few small pieces throughout the entire bowl. The hot and sour soup did not taste good. I found it overly sweet, and it didn't compare well to other places. The pickup was very fast, and the employees were nice. The inside looks clean and well taken care of.

Yelp
I stopped by with my husband spontaneously while doing errands because we saw they had a BOGO deal on select ramen bowls. The person up front was so helpful and sweet. We were able to choose what type of broth, which are vegetable/clear broth, chicken broth or pork broth. We chose spicy garlic ramen with chicken broth and chicken Karaage. This is SPIIIICYYYY!!! but it tasted so good, I was able to finish my whole bowl. It came with cute fish cakes, seaweed, noodles, sprouts, soft egg, and the star of the show was the crispy chicken... it was ssooooo perfectly cooked, real delicious batter with juicy chicken inside. It stayed crispy for some time!! This bowl is $15+. Days later we are craving this ramen bowl, and can't wait to bring our family here! We didn't get to try other food items but curious to try! The only thing I wish they do is expand the bogo deal to other ramen bowls, I think more people would be opt to try

Yelp
Ahh! This used to be Cafe Luigi Pizza, remember that? This is part of the Toro Sushi people which is next door. The staff and service is very good. P.S. Soft opening for a couple weeks until the grand opening.

Yelp
Tasty ramen and good takoyaki! We had the shoyu ramen and will be coming back. The toppings were top notch and generous - great jammy egg, char siu, and veggies and the noodles tasted fresh. Takoyaki (octopus balls) appetizer was good too. Good addition to the neighborhood!

Yelp
I had the Spicy Raman, the flavor was delicious and the veggies were nice and fresh. I would enjoy slightly more protein but over all great and I will go back.

Yelp
Curry ramen was just a curry dish, not a ramen dish. Curry over noodles, no broth. Also, the tonkatsu ramen wasn't very good unfortunately.

Yelp
Easy and quick service with self serve ordering. Small seating area for less than 10 total. I only tried the curry chicken katsu. Sauce good with a little kick, chicken was crispy, large serving of rice. Will be back to try ramen and a few apps. Solid lunch or quick dinner option
