Google
Small and intimate ramen bar with about a dozen seats. Everything was delicious, service unobtrusive and one of those spots run by the whole family, kids included. Would be an excellent date spot or just a quick bite after work!

Google
Found a discrete ramen restaurant right by Magnolia Hotel on Stout downtown. Oishii Ramen was small but had the traditional Japaneses ramen restaurant feel and ambience. The menu was simple with 6 types of ramen, 6 types of appetizers and a fried rice, which made the decision easy. The soup of the tonkotsu ramen was flavorful, the noodles were springy and chewy, the pork belly was well marinated, soft and tasty, and the boiled half egg was delightfully sweet, salty and umami. Overall quite satisfying, certainly worth a detour from the thoroughfare.

Google
Traditional style ramen bar I can get enough of. Everything here is incredible and consistent, without a doubt my favorite ramen spot in Denver.

Google
Very cute spot, food was definitely good but not the best. Pork buns were very fluffy and tasty, but lacking on the pork. Pork belly was also more fatty than the usual I get in ramen and not as richly flavored. Tonkotsu broth was delicious, ramen noodles and toppings just ok though. Definitely tasty and filling for dinner!

I went for lunch here during a recent conference taking place in downtown Denver. This was probably the best ramen I’ve had in Denver and the quality of the food was high. I ordered the spicy tonkotsu ramen and the gyozas as a side. Since I was the first customer to arrive, the restaurant took my order quickly and the food arrived reasonably fast. However, over time the space filled out and they only have a limited number of seats, so I assume you have to wait during peak hours on a busy day. The ramen was delicious, with a succulent and creamy but spicy broth, chewy noodles that were not too soft, and tender chashu pork. If I have anything to criticize, it would be that the gyozas were slightly forgettable (not bad either but definitely not the best I’ve had) and they don’t give you any condiments to customize the ramen.

Google
Oishii Ramen was a perfect choice on a cold night. The ramen was fresh, filling, and packed with flavor. The restaurant itself is open and spacious, and ordering was quick and easy, thanks to a helpful employee who offered great recommendations. The ramen arrived at just the right temperature so I could dig in immediately without worrying about burning my mouth, which was a nice touch. My only complaint is that I wish there had been a bit more food; the pork, broth, and noodles were all fantastic, but I have a feeling I could’ve polished off two bowls and been perfectly content. Overall, if you’re in the area and craving ramen, Oishii Ramen is definitely worth a visit. I’d go back, though I’m also looking forward to trying out other nearby ramen spots to compare.

Google
Went here with friends for dinner! Cozy and cute atmosphere with bar style seating arrangement. Perfect place for soup season! I ordered the Black Tonkotsu Ramen which was filling. The noodles were al dente and the broth was savory with a nice hint from the black garlic oil.

Google
Great atmosphere and place, conveniently located and truly a hole in the wall place and feeling. Sunomono salad was very disappointing, just cucumber with some sauce (gyoza or soy?) added at the top and that’s it. Not marinated like it usually is so that was disappointing, $7 for sliced cucumber was NOT worth it. Also not impressed and wouldn’t order the spicy miso again, but the green vegetable one was packed with flavor! Definitely recommend that one. Wish I had gotten the spicy miso but with that veggie broth. Also be mindful their posted menu is not accurate and prices are much higher.

Yelp
The is small ramen place which seats around 20! The service is very quick and the food came out fast! We all ordered ramen very flavorful and just enough for lunch! Everything was very reasonable! $$ Small but packs a ramen pinch!

Yelp
Lackluster outside- Inside has a no thrills classic seating. Maybe this will be おいしい? Sadly, no! The photo looks good, but the gyoza was cold, I asked for an extra egg (I guess you only get the other 1/2 of the egg for 1.75)! The broth was just luke warm and the pork was cold and tough. You couldn't even heat the pork or egg in the broth because it was too cold. If you are looking for Hakata style noodles or a rich pork base broth go elsewhere. The broth seemed to be cooked for maybe 1 hour... So basic and flavorless. I really wanted to enjoy this- but left it and tried another shop around the corner that was much better! Don't waste your time here. Sorry! I've tried ramen from all the prefectures in Japan. This isn't worth the money or the Oishii name.
google avatar

Yelp
Pork was dry and they only give you half an egg. The spicy tonkotsu is $18, not $12 like they list on their website. Service was fast.

Yelp
Delicious ramen and cute intimate space! There's one table in the whole restaurant and it's like a U-shaped bar. I ordered the black tonkatsu (garlic) and my partner ordered the regular tonkatsu. The black tonkatsu was really tasty and I preferred it over the original. Service was quick, I'd come back here, it felt really authentic!

Yelp
A fun authentic Japanese Ramen restaurant. My friend lives downtown and there was a bunch of us grabbing lunch. He suggested this authentic Ramen place. They were empty, which was surprising for a Saturday afternoon, but it worked out in our favor since it was a party of eight. They have a fun Long U-shaped table, so we took advantage of no one being there and we sat along the rounded edge part so we could all see each other. We all ordered a different type of Ramen. I got the classic Ramen broth, but I had them put my toppings on the side. I was able to add each topping as I'd like and I actually gave the rest of my toppings to my friends. The restaurant was very accommodating. Our waitress was quick and friendly. The Ramen came out hot and fresh! I don't prefer to go downtown because of the construction going on right now, but if I'm craving Ramen, I might have to make a special exception for this place! I can't wait to go back!

Yelp
Lived in Japan, had some of the best Ramen out there. Oishii is not trying to compete with them. It's ok ramen, my $25 Tonkatsu ramen had two strips of pork belly, an unfermented egg, and was light on almost everything. 1) Just facts smaller bowl, $25+, light on all. 2) Green tea was a bag tea served in a strainer. 3) Staff was quick and nice so they have that going on. Place was quiet because no one was there.

Yelp
Fantastic Ramen!! This spot delivered! The restaurant has a unique seating arrangement, but it works and I liked it as I came in for lunch! For dinner, I don't think it would work that well if you wanted a more intimate setting. Staff were very friendly and you paid in a similar format as a diner.
google avatar

Yelp
This may have been the best ramen I've ever had, seriously! It was so delicious my mouth is watering as I write this review! The gyoza and cucumber salad were amazing too! Plus the service was fast and efficient. The place is very small with a communal counter, so you may have to wait for a few spots to open up but it's so worth the wait!

Yelp
My husband and I were on a trip in Denver a while back and we were in want of something warm for dinner. We found Oishii just by walking by and the vibe drew us in. The ambiance felt authentic and intimate. We ordered tea and Ramen and it was perfect. I don't remember which Ramen I had but the flavor was delicious and was not spicy (I did not want spicy). The service was exactly what it needed to be. They greeted us and took our order and once arrived didn't need to check on us multiple times, but as the only ones there didn't ignore us either. The food arrived quickly and there were no issues. If we were ever to go back to Denver, I would eat there again.

Yelp
Wonderful Ramen. Small and cozy with nice staff. They have a U shaped dining area where you sit. No booths reminded me of the Ramen places I've gone to in Japan.

Yelp
As soon as you walk in, you immediately feel the traditional vibe this place offers. One thing I like is some tradition lol. The seating situation here is very different than what I'm used to at a ramen restaurant. It's very limited, and everyone shares a table that's the main reason why I didn't give this place 5 stars. If they had more seating, they for sure would've had 5 starts. If I were you, I would avoid coming during lunchtime because you'll be waiting for a seat. The service is great here. I'm pretty sure we got our food in under 10 mins. Speaking of which, the ramen here is solid! Small menu but really good nonetheless. I ordered the chashu bao and the black tonkatsu ramen. Both of which were really good. I've had bao's at a different ramen place in the area, and this place has them beat! Come treat yourself to great ramen :)

Yelp
Hmmm... this ramen was next to my hotel. Surprisingly, it showed high rated compared to other ramen restaurants in the same area. When it is cold, good ramen is the thing you are looking for. However, after I tasted the ramen. I was disappointed. The soup taste of ramen is pretty light. The extra chashu I ordered were very thin and small. The service was not the great. The guy picked up my order was on the phone all the time. For ambiance, it is just okay. Food: 4/10 Price: 2/10 Service: 3/10 Ambiance: 5/10

Yelp
Absolutely delicious. Wow. What a find on a business trip. I had dumplings chicken and then pork bellies ramen. The broth in the ramen. Oh my! The dumplings were spitting when they were served.
google avatar

Michael N.

Yelp
First off, the prices on their website are about $5 less than at the restaurant, looks like their online site has not updated the prices. Second, the food is overpriced for what you get. The flavor was ok but a little bland and the topping and everything included was pretty lackluster. I've had much better Ramen for much less. I can't comment on the ambiance since I got the food to go. The worker/owner was ok, not very friendly but not mean. Overall the whole experience was pretty meh. I wouldn't go back though.
google avatar

Y S.

Yelp
Very bland broth in the spicy miso and miso ramen. Also, very small portion of meat for the price you pay.

Yelp
I'm honestly shocked at the high rating this place has. unfortunately this is the worst ramen place I've ever been to. the outside looks like it's shut down at first glance with the boarded up door. multiple bypassers used the windows as a mirror thinking no one was inside. the inside is small and quiet, not really any ambience, but the workers are friendly. the food wasn't great, but it was served pretty quickly. the ramen came out before the appetizer which was odd but I didn't really mind. the ramen toppings (egg and bamboo shoots) were both cold like they were just taken out of the fridge. there were also only like two bamboo shoots. the pork belly was so tough I couldn't eat it. I literally could not break it with my teeth. it was a pretty disappointing bowl. the only thing I can think of as to why this place has such great reviews is maybe Denver just doesn't have good ramen? I'm from out of state, and eaten ramen in multiple countries. so maybe if you're an out-of-towner-ramen-lover, skip this one.

Yelp
The ramen is good nothing extraordinary but good for Downtown Denver I was a regular costumer of Oishi up until a certain Incident that happened on Friday December 6th 2024 prior to the incident I went at least twice a month on Fridays, some months even 3 times. Friday I went and ordered my Usual Tonkotsu and a large 24oz bottle of Sapporo, i ate and stayed about 35 minutes as usual. Everything normal up until I had to pay. The Japanese lady told me it was 27$ to which I gladly handed 40$ ( two 20's ) and asked to only give me back 10$. Well she comes back and tells me, " your tip is TOO LOW YOU HAVE TO TIP MORE , 15% is MANDATORY". Never in my 25 years of eating in a downtown Denver restaurants had I ever heard that from anyone, nobody had ever demanded more money from me in any restaurant after paying my ticket I always leave a tip regardless and out of all the countless times that I had gone the lady had never mentioned anything about a mandatory tip. It surprised me even more knowing that I am or was, a regular. Im not sure if the lady decided to do it because i had a large 24oz beer and saw me a bit buzzed because I saw other people pay and she didnt demand more money from them, but this to me was a stab on the back. In complete disbelief that she demanded more Money from me, plus I was buzzed from the beer I ended up giving her more money and just left. I felt like such an idiot, the ramen and beer ended up costing me 35$ Dollars. To me service is everything I was always respectful and cleaned up after myself ,to have them literally DEMAND more money from me after paying my ticket in full plus leaving a tip and being a regular there is unacceptable. There are no traditional tables where servers go and take your order, everything is right there on an island like bar. If that lady is reading this I hope your extra tip you hustled from me was worth the years of loyal business from me because that was THE LAST TIME you will ever see me there. SAYONARA

Yelp
Came here a couple weeks ago. A friend was in town and happened upon Oishii Ramen while staying at a nearby hotel. We were trying to figure out a low-key place to grab a bite that wouldn't be overrun by convention goers and would also be satisfying on a cold winter night. This fit the bill. The dining area is intimate, probably can fit about 14 people around the horseshoe shaped countertop. When we arrived there were a couple other people seated. As we were finishing up though, a large group arrived and occupied most of the remaining seats. Food is served quickly however, so I anticipate even if the seats are full there wouldn't be too long a wait. I ordered the Green Vegetable Ramen with tofu, and my friend got the Black Tonkotsu Ramen with pork belly. The noodles were plentiful and the broth was fortunately not overly salty. I could have used one extra portion of tofu, but otherwise the veggie portions were appropriate. My friend's pork belly was good well and she very much enjoyed the garlic oil addition. We had a lot of catching up to do, and the server was kind enough not to rush us out, though we were mindful not to hog space if any new customers arrived. I can't say I'd go out of my way to go back, however if staying or working in the area, it's certainly worth a stop.

Yelp
Oishii ramen is a pretty mediocre ramen shop if you're a ramen enthusiast. The broth is good if it's your fist ramen shop but for my boyfriend and I who has frequented a lot of ramen shops, the broth is quite plain. The noodles were also nothing special and noodles are the heart of a bowl of ramen. Price of the ramen is quite high for the quality that you get. Service was also a bit slow, it took long for people to get their ramen. Ramen should usually come out quick. Their tip recommendations on their machine was also outrageous! It gave the options of 20, 30, and 40 percent!

Joseph D.

Yelp
It doesn't look like much at first glance, but most truly wonderful things don't. Inside is cramped in a friendly way. You're almost obliged to exchange a few pleasant words with the stranger next to you. The server was wonderful and friendly, opening up and chatting despite a clearly busy and tiring night. And of course, with any small restaurant defiantly standing strong amidst gargantuan chain restaurants, the food was delicious. The noodles were firm yet juicy, the meat was flavorful and delicious, and the broth was subtle and strong as a weathered oak. Would eat again.

Yelp
Desperately looking for a place to defrost, anything broth-like sounded perfect. I was definitely hesitant, as I looked in the window, there was only one other patron dining on a Friday night and with my limited time in Denver... did I want to take the chance?? I decided to go for it. Walked in to a small open area with a U-shaped ramen bar and ordered the black tonkatsu with chicken. The chicken was a bit dry and flavorless, so I could have done without the meat entirely in that case. The ramen itself was decent, but I wouldn't put it on the top list of my food experiences. As for the egg, I've had tonkatsu in which the egg adds a nice punch. That wasn't the case here... it had a flavor (the egg) that I personally wasn't quite a fan of, so that may have contributed to my overall feeling. I did not finish my entire dish, but in part I was just full and had no desire to force the rest in to a full tummy. Service was quick and friendly. (Very friendly so I'd recommend going to form your own opinion!)

Yelp
It was a cold winter night in November and I was visiting a friend from out of town. My hotel was only walking distance from Oishii Ramen. I ordered the Tonkotsu Ramen with pork. Unfortunately, the pork was dry and the tonkatsu was watered down. I also did not like how they filled it up lots of bean sprouts. I did love the family style ambience though. Can't say that I will ever come back.

Yelp
We were looking for ramen in Denver and discovered Oishii while walking. Highlights: the food was really good and very flavorful. I had 2 negatives. I ordered a coffee and they never offered me any creamer or sugar or anything. They also never offered me a water refill. My other issue os this is a iPad pay place and they offer for tip is 20, 30, and 40% after tax. I'm sorry but I'm not leaving a 40% tip anywhere and there was absolutely zero service outside of bringing us our things and taking our order.

Max L.

Yelp
Came to Oishii for a quick lunch on a snowy Saturday with a couple coworkers. Was impressed by every aspect of the restaurant. Loved the spacious counter, that made me feel like I was actually at a ramen restaurant and was still comfortable, same for the decorations. We each got a different bowl of ramen that we enjoyed: the black garlic, spicy tonkotsu, and the veggie. All were complete with fresh ingredients, and had lovely springy and eggy noodles. My favorite part of the tonkotsu I had was how clean the broth was. It still had a soul-warming, creamy and pure taste, but without an over-reliance on fat or salt. The service was very efficient and warm. The server even ran after us in the snow to give us a bag we had forgotten. Very much worth trying!

Acelyn's C.

Yelp
The food here is top notch. The ramen is creamy and always has a firm grip on flavor. The noodles aren't stale and have a slight chew that makes it so much better. The family who runs this place is very nice and it's always nice to talk to them. They listen and respond fast to get food out, usually it's just one person whose also running the whole restaurant. The store itself is beautiful, it's very well designed and it doesn't always get packed fast: while it does only seat 20 people, it's absolutely worth it.

Yelp
Walking around downtown Denver during conference season, I happened upon Oishii Ramen and stopped in for a quick bite. We'll worth the visit! I got the Red Spicy Miso Ramen with tofu and it was delicious! A spicy kick with flavorful veggies and a warm broth, the noodles were perfect. If you're ever in downtown Denver near 16th street, veer one block away and enjoy some excellent ramen!

Yelp
So good! Clean, pretty restaurant with great ramen (I had the black tonkatsu) and excellent service. Good drink selection. Edamame was salty and fresh. I'm a fan.

Mejia H.

Yelp
Good food, unwelcoming service. Young gentleman who was on register was very unkind. Came in for pickup and inquired about a certain beverage and said he didn't have any. At all. For the day. Then looked at me like I should've known that, even tho the drink is advertised in their window! Odd. Asked about hot sauce and rolled his eyes and said it's extra, I said that's fine I'll pay but he walked away, came back with 1 (for my family order) handed it to me, walked away and seen him saying something then looking at me. Very unprofessional & unpleasant.

Mr N.

Yelp
The best ramen in Denver! Should be way more well known. The service was amazing and extremely inviting. The ramen was flavorful and all ingredients had a perfect proportion. The whole atmosphere felt so cozy. Definitely would come again!

Paulette M.

Yelp
Ordered online and did a pick up. Requested no green onion on my ramen. Went to pick up my order got home and green onion was in my ramen. Very disappointed.

Yelp
Delicious little ramen spot in Denver! Ramen is amazing, and so is the atmosphere! We would definitely come back when we visit Denver again!

I C.

Yelp
Definitely better than most of the restaurants in 16th street mall! We got the gyoza, black tonkatsu, and spicy red miso ramen. The gyoza were perfectly fried and still juicy. The black tonkatsu has a generous scoop of black garlic that elevates it above other ramen we've had. The U-shaped bar is also very cool and unique
google avatar

Allen N.

Yelp
The spicy tonkotsu ramen was absolutely amazing 10/10 . Pork belly was cooked perfectly and the egg noodles complimented everything else. Will come back for sure

Arynn W.

Yelp
I don't understand their current rating... They only get the 1-star from me due to wait time as the food was served in a timely manner. However, the miso ramen bowl was absolutely terrible. While they were preparing our food I'm 100% certain I heard a microwave which had me wondering if they microwaved part of our meal, the broth in particular. The noodles, were not tasty whatsoever. The broth that went on top of the noodles had a decent color but tasted like heated water. They could have at least garnished the meal with an entire boiled egg instead of just half an egg, but I suppose it was okay because the half boiled egg we got looked so terrible, specifically the yolk, that we didn't even eat it. Even after mixing the chewy chicken (didn't taste real) noodles, broth and veggies which tasted like canned veggies, there was still ZERO FLAVOR. Very disappointing because this was the first meal we had upon arriving to Denver. There was no one in the restaurant the entire time we were there and it makes sense as to why no one was lined up for the food. To whomever considers this restaurant, please don't. Go try somewhere and something else.

Yelp
Tell me you hate vegans, without telling me you hate vegans. I never complain about price (it's a huge pet peeve of mine when people mention it about a place, because generally the market will dictate the price and if people are buying it, then it's "worth" that price, in my opinion), but this place is crazy! The menu is confusing, as there is a vegan ramen, but it's the same name as a different non-vegan ramen. The vegan ramen does not have a description of ingredients, but I trusted the lady. I asked her what type of noodles are in the vegan ramen, and she indicated they were regular noodles...when I go back to the website I see the vegan ramen should come with kale noodles...my noodles were not made of kale, they were yellow/tan. The whole dish smelled eggy/chickeny...so no idea if it was ACTUALLY vegan. The tofu was also raw & just thrown on there. I got an immediate stomach ache & gave it away...waste of $18! So disappointed!

Yelp
Delicious, quaint ramen spot in Downtown Denver. The ramen was amazing. I ordered the spicy pork belly tonkotsu ramen. The delicious and complimentary spice slowly and subtly builds up on your tongue while you indulge in the first bites. It wasn't until the first time I looked up and took a breath between bites that I noticed the spice. The overall flavor and texture of the ingredients in the dish was exactly what you're looking for when you eat ramen.

Yelp
I had spicy tonkotsu with black garlic oil. Woof.., One of the best ramen I have ever had. Highly recommended.

Yelp
Super long wait for food, very rude and racist service when asked, bland and unauthentic food, got the order wrong, then charges extra for condiments.

Yelp
Thank you for my wonderful Easter Dinner!!! I LOVE LOVE LOVED IT!!!! I had the Red Spicy Misosooooo delicious Jocelyn

Yelp
We want to try a ramen place here in Denver and this place was one of places that was open on Sunday. Came here and got sat down fast cause it's not busy. Before coming here, we already ate some foods in a bar. So me and my friend shared one ramen cause we were kinda full and still craving for some ramen. The lady who took our order rolled her eyes and made fun of us when she realized were just gonna share one ramen bowl. We supposed to order more but we didn't after she gave us attitude. Not recommending this place to my friends who's visiting Denver too. The employees were not nice. The ramen was even bland.

Yelp
I wanted the ramen to be great since it was right beside my hotel and it's one of my favorite foods, but it was not.

Yelp
Hands down Best Authentic Ramen I ever had in Denver . Highly recommend their food if you are looking for Testy and good quality Food this is The Place

Jake M.

Yelp
Watery broth, mediocre ramen place. They will not allow you to use their restroom either. Look elsewhere...

Yelp
Awesome place! Great Ramen! Felt very traditional and the staff was extremely nice! Would highly recommend :)

Yelp
Great new spot. Just opened recently. I like the one bar style table for dine in. The Ramen was amazing. The broth was rich and flavorful. The pork was tender and noodles cook perfectly. I also tried the buns. The pork is juicy and flavorful and the sauce tied together the veggies, pork and bun . With this cold weather, the ramen hit the spot. I'm making this my favorite ramen joint in Denver.

Yelp
The best ramen I ever had in my life! It was expensive but it was so worth it to me! The ramen was creamy and delicious and the perfect amount of spicy! Before this place I always said that the best seaweed salad I ever had was in Miami but now I have to say that this is the best!!

Jon H.

Yelp
Wonderful Ramen, great service and we had the place to ourselves on a freezing cold afternoon. They have a limited menu, but the food is fantastic!! We highly recommend this place and will be back.

Yelp
Best new ramen in downtown, this place is new and amazing. I've been looking for good ramen place for lunch in downtown and this place will be my new to go to place.
