O'Jung's Bar - Review - South Philly - Philadelphia - The Infatuation

"There’s a reason O'Jung's inSouth Phillyis often trusted by late-night hookups, friends in a festive mood, and construction workers taking a "break." It's the friendly atmosphere that makes you feel welcomed during happy hour, on gameday, or when you walk in with Twisted Teas at 10pm, and the bartender puts them on ice without blinking. There's no beers on draft, but there's a lengthy list of bottles, cans, and wines. When it comes to food, there are the usual suspects: mega-sized mozzarella triangles, burgers, and wings, but there are also unique options like their crispy Italian hoagie egg rolls. It's all pretty solid, especially when you're in the mood for a $6 Guinness or three. It's cash-only (they also take Venmo), but there's an ATM inside. Just look for the construction worker spilling from his chair in the left corner of the bar after one whiskey too many, and you'll find it." - Candis R. McLean

Started our annual Christmas bar crawl at O’Jungs. Really good corner bar on 2nd St. Really nicely decorated for Christmas. It’s really crowded so it’s not easy to find a seat. We got lucky. Grabed a table for four and sat. Waitress came up to us immediately to give us menus. But took a while for her to come back. I get it. It was crowded. We ordered couple drinks. The two drinks picture are the white Christmas Mojito and the cranberry basil sangria. Both drinks were very good. On the way to the bar, our Uber driver said the wings are really good so I ordered a spicy Thai wings. It was a good suggestion because they were very good. I would definitely recommend. We also got the pulled pork sandwich with provolone and broccoli rabe. It was tasty, but the roll could’ve been better ( come on we’re in Philly) and the broccoli rabe definitely too many stems. You couldn’t eat it. I had to pull it out of my sandwich. The one thing I wish I ordered was the pretzel sandwich sliders. They went past me a couple times and they look really good. I will definitely come back to the bar cause it’s a good vibe. Parking can be a problem that is why we Ubered

Went here for the first time with a group of five. Everyone absolutely loved it. The food was delicious and very reasonably priced. The cocktails, especially the Christmas mojito, were also fantastic. The Christmas decor was on point and the service was as great. Excited to go back.

Four of us had a blast at O'Jung's. The food was outstanding and Lauren our server was friendly and super-efficient. She always served with a smile and was a great person. The sirloin cheesesteak egg rolls and the hoagie egg rolls are to die for. The tortellini were magnificent as were the crab cake and cheeseburger. A wonderful family pub in the heart of Pennsport. Thank you Lauren and O'Jung's for a wonderful evening.

O’Jung’s is hands down the best bar in South Philly! The atmosphere is unbeatable—great people, delicious food, and always the best music. On Sundays, Richie Baker keeps the place alive with tunes that get everyone singing and dancing. The bartenders are top-notch—Marikate, Kev, and Pat always make you feel right at home. Every visit is guaranteed to be a great time!

Different Cheesesteak #1243. Flavor for days!! Seared Filet Mignon, Cooper Sharp Cheese Sauce & Caramelized Onions on Butter Toasted Mini Everything Seasoning Pretzels. Whole Filet not sliced. I usually don’t like a whole steak on a roll. I like to see what I am biting into. But these were good. Really good. I don’t know why I was surprised. It is Filet Mignon. The caramelized onions added great flavor. The cheese sauce was creamy and dreamy. LOL. I like the outside-the-box thinking with everything pretzel. It does add very good seasoning. But it doesn’t do a good holding everything together. Very messy to eat. The bartender was great. You can hear her in the background of the video. Steady flow of take-out orders. Two regulars at the bar. We had very good cheesesteak conversation/talk/debate. Great visit!

Second visit, Food was very tasty, The service was very good. Reasonable prices. Daily "Specials" were low priced( today's double cheeseburger $12.00 and Beer). Tots can be had with brown gravy. Better-half had Shrimp over pasta, again very good. We were there around 5 PM. Plus for Philadelphians, scrapple sliders!
