The 19 Best Restaurants In Plano/Richardson - Dallas - The Infatuation

"The snacky Japanese menu matches the whimsical atmosphere and cutesy, anime-inspired decor at Okaeri Cafe, which offers table seating as well as zashiki floor seating. For grab-and-go, order the spam onigiri or egg salad sando to pair with our matcha oat milk latte with ube foam. If you're staying for a bigger lunch, the omurice curry is warm and filling, with a silky omelette spiraled like a tornado over a savory broth. When you feel like splurging, add on the loaded fries—perfectly crispy shoestring potatoes with spicy seasoning, aioli, ketchup, and furikake." - erin booke

Okaeri Cafe’s Seriously Adorable Bento Boxes Debut Soon in Richardson | Eater Dallas

"A Japanese pop-up transitioning into a permanent restaurant in Richardson on Terrace Drive, operated by Gene Tran and Michelle Pepping. Developed about a year before the pandemic and launched last year, the concept quickly built a cult following by selling out nearly every day; its menu was typically posted online the day of sale. Fans praise its ultra-cute, Instagram-friendly bento boxes and crowd-pleasing dishes such as omurice and Japanese curry. The permanent location is expected to open this fall." - Brittanie Shey

Google
This is my go to coffee shop despite a 25 minute drive there. The staff have consistently gone above and beyond and are always super welcoming, friendly, and helpful. On top of the customer service the drinks there are always delicious without being too sweet or overpowering, and there’s always a ton of variety to pick from. Fortunately though it doesn’t end there, the food as well is consistently spectacular and consistent and makes it one of my favorite places to sit down and work as I always leave caffeinated and full on good food without needing to go anywhere else to fix that need.

Google
Okaeri cafe is such a gem 💎 we loved all the vibes and delicious food. The staff were super sweet and gave great recommendations. The drinks were all amazing and the kimichi dog was absolutely to die for. We also tried the yakisoba with pork and it was so tasty, the loaded fries hit the spot and the pork bun was so fluffy! The interior is perfect, 1000% recommend

Google
Everything was very nice. When we went, it was a bit busy. There are only a few tables and 3 sitting areas. Quit a few people where sitting and chatting taking up tables. While I understand the why, there isn't enough seating for this. Definitely eat and move on kinda space. However, others seemed to get the hint when they saw others waiting and would leave. The staff was friendly and the food was hot and very fresh. Everything was very yummy, and the curry was a highlight. Very cute place to try Japanese food if you haven't before.

Google
I visited in May with a group of friends & had the Shrimp Katsu Curry. It was my first time trying Japanese curry and it was delicious! Would definitely recommend for the flavor! The only thing that I would note is that it's a bit tight sitting in their floor seating area if you have more than 2 people and/or on the taller side.

Google
We had a great experience when recently visited. Mathew took our order and gave suggestions when asked. He was very helpful and checked to see if we liked our food. I ordered the Tonkatsu Bento Box and a pandan matcha. Both were very good. Mathew recommended the pandan matcha because I didn’t want anything too sweet. He even explained what a pandan plant was.

Google
This is such a cute spot!! We came here to check out their egg sando and some other dishes and we were pleasantly surprised! The egg salad sando tasted identical to the ones we would buy from 7/11 in Japan. Same texture, consistency, flavor and most importantly, the same taste in the milk bread. My husband and I ordered some bento boxes and we both agreed the shrimp one tasted better than the chicken one but the chicken one wasn’t awful! It was just okay. The shrimp one is definitely one we strongly recommend to get if you’re going to get a bento box. Unfortunately though we didn’t love the potato salad, it didn’t feel airy like other Japanese style potato salads but it was still a generous serving! We also tried out the melon cream soda which was refreshing! Presentation was also nice too, wasn’t the best dessert I’ve ever had though but it was still very enjoyable! Strawberry cold foam matcha latte was definitely pretty good! The presentation, the matcha flavor, the sweetness from the strawberry. This alone would make me come back! And they have like 8+ other flavor combinations of matcha to try from! Need to try more! Atmosphere is great, this place was decorated by someone who really loves Japan and Japanese culture! They even have tatami/traditional style seating which I’m personally not used to so I wasn’t a fan of it but it is definitely nice to have as an option. They do have regular seating as well! Hope to come back again in the near future!

Google
The Coconut Matcha Cold Foam drink was unique. It reminded me of the slightly sour taste of fresh coconut juice I once had in the Maldives, blending beautifully with the matcha foam. Aside from the foam, the drink itself wasn’t very sweet, which I actually enjoyed. The potato croquette was excellently made—served hot and crispy on the outside, with a filling so smooth and soft that even a baby could eat it. The curry had a mild kick of spice, and the potatoes and carrots were tender, as if they had been simmered for a long time. It came with a pork cutlet that was thick, perfectly cooked, and seasoned simply with what seemed like just pepper, giving it a clean, savory flavor. The cutlet was also nicely crispy. Pink pickled ginger was served on top, though I personally would have preferred it on a separate dish. For dessert, I tried a pineapple matcha ice cream, which was an intriguing combination. The slight bitterness of matcha was wrapped in the sweetness of pineapple, and the icy, crunchy texture of the ice cream was delightful. The staff were friendly, and there’s a cozy area with floor seating that made the atmosphere both comfortable and fun.

Yelp
Parking: front of the store but limited space Food: delicious, their curry with the omelet was great! Recommend ordering that! And so is the musubi katsu we're huge! The drinks we got was delicious as well. Service: we did a takeout order as space inside was limited. Ambiance: it was nice and it's a cute small space. You have the option to sit on a chair or on the floor with pillows laid down for you.

Yelp
Such a cute cafe in Richardson! I wanted a place to sit and do work with both snack and drink options, and Okaeri Cafe delivered. I didn't want anything too filling so opted for the chicken karaage, which was overpriced for what it was ($9 for 5 pieces). The texture was also a little off, it looks like they used a wet batter as opposed to tossing it in dry starch as it is classically done. It was still relatively crispy and tasted fine with kewpie, lemon, and togarashi but lacking the signature texture of karaage. The hojicha strawberry latte was a great balance of umami and sweet. If you haven't tried hojicha but love matcha, definitely give it a go! It's like matcha's nuttier cousin. Definitely mix it well before drinking! All the tables were full on a Sunday afternoon, so I opted to sit in one of the wooden cubbies with floor cushions. I love sitting cross legged and taking my shoes off when I study lol so this was perfect for me! But something to keep in mind if you're trying to spend longer here.

Yelp
First time trying Japanese curry here and it was definitely a fun experience. My brother, who has actually had curry in Japan, said it is really close to authentic. I can see how it is an acquired taste, but I enjoyed it. We ordered a good mix of things. The loaded fries were AMAZING. The portion was big and they were so good that we ate them so fast I forgot to take a picture. I had the tonkatsu curry, and the tonkatsu was perfectly crispy with great flavor. We also tried the omurice, which was flavorful, and the gyudon, which was tasty but very heavy on the onions. The only thing I did not love was that they ask questions like "Did you want the egg on it?" which makes it sound included, but it is actually an extra charge. Just something to watch out for. For drinks, I got the matcha frappe and it was solid. It was not too sweet, and their whipped cream is seriously next level. The cafe itself has a very quiet atmosphere and small tables, so it feels better suited for a study spot or a small group rather than a big gathering. They even have traditional Japanese seating on the ground, which adds to the vibe. Overall, I would say it is a spot worth checking out if you want to try Japanese comfort food in Richardson.

Yelp
Drinks here from matcha to iced lemonades are so good. matcha latte is well balanced not overly sweet. the sandwiches are comforting and filling, katsu with a kick of spicy, tonkatsu for a sweeter alternative and spam if that's your preference. service is kind and courteous and prompt the ambiance is quiet and excellent place to relax with some background lofi cafe music highly recommend!

Yelp
Having seen multiple stories and pictures of this place on social media, I had high hopes it would deliver. Unfortunately it was not the case, the service here is nothing to be proud of, the staff was unhelpful when we called ahead to see how busy they were. When we arrived the staff member at the register seemed bothered and unfriendly. Not many smiling faces or enthusiastic expressions to make you feel welcomed. Inside the decor was cute but nothing I haven't seen before, there were tatami style seating but it was limited. We sat at a table with our an order number for them to recognize us, it took quite a bit of time for the food to arrive to the table, and when it did, the staff just dropped it off and left. I'd expect a bit more service for a place that asks for a tip after paying for your meal. As for the food, though it looked appealing, it was just that. The pancake was nothing special, I've had better and this was only bearable to eat because of the mayo. However the cabbage on the inside was nice and the bonito flakes were fine (tasted like the store bought version in a can) As for the Omurice, let's start with the egg, it was done well and the texture was as I expected, soft and fluffy. The rice on the inside was ok but the sauce/gravy was so salty. We had to remove it to be able to taste the rest of the dish. The steaks that accompanied it tasted like sausage patties that you buy at a grocery store. I don't normally rate places lower than a three, but I was definitely displeased by the experience.

Yelp
Really enjoyed the food and lovely service here. Everything was delicious and the service was excellent. This spot is quiet with several seating options (including traditional low tables and tatami mats). There were lots of food and drink options that would satisfy most diets and tastebuds. Parking is in the lot in front of the building and the entire establishment is sparkling clean. Will have to come back!!

Yelp
This is a very cute izakaya style coffee shop cafe. The tonkatsu curry was very good, as was the gyoza. This was our first omurice experience and I don't think it was what my husband was expecting. All in all, I recommend giving this place a try!

Yelp
This place is so cute with all the Shiba Inu decorations. I got their loaded fries, pandan matcha, and an espresso with oat milk and cinnamon. The pandan matcha latte is good but I have had better matcha elsewhere. The coffee has a sour taste and they said it's from the espresso. The coffee doesn't taste that strong or bitter, but it was just bitter. It tastes really off and we tried adding sugar, but it just doesn't taste good. The workers were really nice and they offered to make us a different drink, but it's ok. We didn't really like the drinks but the food was good. I think they use takoyaki toppers for their loaded fries, and there are also a lot of different sauces they put on it. The prices for everything were pretty cheap and reasonable, I might come back to try other food items.

Maggie E.

Yelp
This place is a hidden gem in Richardson. The matcha was delicious, and the vanilla cream cold brew wasn't too sweet which I appreciate. I had a katsu chicken sando with fries and the fries alone I would go back for. The ambience of the cafe is very comfortable and casual, and the service was great.

Yelp
Okaeri Cafe has a lot to offer! My friend and I came to visit from the Bay Area, and we were so happy to get recommendations from our local friends to come here. Ambiance - It was such a cute area. Divided in half, one felt more like a seating area for a quaint cafe, while the dining area had a side with little tables and seats as well as three booths where you would remove your shoes to sit on a pillow in front of a low table. The aesthetic is really cute with lots of green plants to complement the wooden clean accents. Definitely a cute area to bring a few friends with or even by yourself! Parking - The parking lot is a bit small, but nothing bad at all! Service - We were attended to as soon as we walked in, and seating us, taking our orders, bringing the food out, as well as the bill was all swift and prompt. Food - The menu had so many good options, but knowing that the portions would be large made it difficult for us to choose just one! Half the menu is for drinks ranging from coffee, matcha, teas, snacks, even ice cream! The price is amazing for how much food you get - my friend and I couldn't finish more than half of our plates! - Omusoba: I got this dish, it was really good! They bring it out fresh, and and flavors are amazing but not overwhelming at the same time. The presentation was adorable. - Chicken Katsu Curry: My friend got this, and as someone who isn't a big fan of this usually, I actually really enjoyed it. The chicken was moist and soft while being perfectly crunchy on the outside. The curry was delicious as well. Overall, I would definitely recommend this spot to anyone who loves Japanese or overall Asian food! It was totally worth the price, and if I was local to this area, I would definitely be a regular here.

Yelp
One of my favorite Japanese words is "Okaeri"--it means welcome back. That's also the name of this café, which I thought was super cute. The vibe inside is very homey and cozy, definitely a nice spot to relax. They have buns, sandwiches, and other light bites, which kind of reminded me of a Japanese convenience store. I ordered the Omu-yakisoba (omelet with fried noodles), but it was way too oily and a bit disappointing. Usually yakisoba comes with pork and plenty of veggies, but this one hardly had any, so it felt pretty empty. My husband tried the special green tea noodles with veggie tempura, but the noodles were overcooked and mushy, and the tempura was just okay. Overall, the food wasn't really for us, but the atmosphere was warm and welcoming. I think it's a nice place to just grab tea and enjoy the cozy space.

Yelp
Very clean little bakery/coffee shop. The service was really good. They welcomed us when we walked in with a Huge smile. The tables and seats were clean, and the atmosphere was very relaxing and soothing. Lots of natural light sleeping in through the windows as well. Parking is out front and easy to manage. This place is also next to a lot of other Asian restaurants and grocery stores and bakeries. I got a sandwich here and it was very delicious.

Yelp
One of my favorite cafes when in Dallas, Texas. I love the variety of dishes that are available from omurice, chicken teriyaki, and onigiri. The food is made fresh and has such a nice flavor and mouth feel. I also love their matcha and black sesame drinks as they are not too sweet. Definitely a place I look forward to going back the next time I'm in town.
google avatar

Vincent S.

Yelp
Hojicha and Matcha Lavender lattes weren't too sweet which is a really good thing for most tea enjoyers! I personally have a sweet tooth but still very much enjoyed the drinks. The Omurice paired w/ Chicken Katsu was MAD delicious. The Chicken Katsu was super crispy and tender, a little fatty, which I absolutely love. The sauce on the Omurice had a thick viscosity to it, which i'm not too used to but still really enjoyed. Service was EXCELLENT, honestly earned the 5 because of it. My gf's phone died and they offered to charge it in the back! They also redid her drink because she wanted oat-milk but forgot to request it in the order. Which was super nice of them! Atmosphere was hella cozy, a lot less packed than the other cafe down the street, had sitting spots like in Japan, and overall made it a good study spot. Overall 5/5, will come back for sure!

Yelp
Okaeri Cafe, unfortunately, has proven to be quite the disappointment. The interior is cute and gives very Japanese culture vibes. However, this is as far as what I think they've done well. SERVICE: The cafe is almost a DIY experience. You order at the counter, seat yourself, get your own waters. The staff does not come back to check up on you at any point in time during your stay. I almost want to say I wish I could DIY my own food as well. It's safe to say that there's virtually almost no level of service here, which I'm fine with, provided that they did not prompt us to tip. Of which, we did tip the staff for service that was virtually non-existent to my regret. FOODWISE: We ordered the Omurice Hamburg Steak and Okononiyaki Pancake, both of which were either another a disappointment or lackluster at best. The Omurice's rice is already infused with the sauce, but the dish is additionally served bathe in a pool of more meat sauce that is VERY SALTY and uncalled for. I recommend setting aside the sauce on a separate saucer for customers to control how much sauce to add. A simple solution but would go a long ways. The egg is beautifully done but the way the sauce was handled makes this dish a let down. The Pancake was a deviation from typical Japanese style. The interior is filled with cabbage which I do appreciate, however, there is no squid or octopus inside. Additionally, the unagi sauce drizzle was way too excessive and was also very salty. This was a miss for me no matter how cute the ambiance was. It's a food cafe and I expect that to hold its weight.
google avatar

Yelp
I had quite the delictable experience at this little hole-in-the-wall restaurant! The food was great; I'm always a fan of gyoza, and there's was as good as I've had it, but I've never had tonkastu before, much less with Japanese-styled curry, but it was a super delicious meal. The staff were very kind and helpful, and the service was top-notch. The parking lot is VERY small, and I had to park a ways away and walk, without a sidewalk, so be aware of their peak hours and maybe check in outside of those The vibes were very café-like, so very low key and quiet; granted, I'm very much an introvert, but I didn't feel all that comfortable "exploring" the place. Had I known there were traditional spots to eat at their chabudai tables, I'd have leapt at the chance, but that's just something for me to be aware of for next time I'll certainly be returning to check out more of the traditional Japanese fare!

Yelp
A very cute restaurant in Richardson, Texas! We saw it on social media and the main two reasons we wanted to check it out or the Japanese style sitting along with the panda designed rice. I think the food was very good for the price. Not pictured was the omurice curry which I really enjoyed. Do you get to sit down wherever you want and then they take your order and bring your food out. I loved the Japanese style eating if you get to sit there. I just wish more customers listened to the rules. If you sit in the authentic seating, you need to take off your shoes. This is because they want to keep it authentic and clean. But some people do not listen and it kind of hurts future customers. The restaurant workers are very nice though.
google avatar

Marie N.

Yelp
Overall, very cute little restaurant/cafe with great service. I highly recommend trying the drinks. I really liked my strawberry matcha and usually I'm super picky with my matcha drinks. The food was decent. The omurice was plated beautifully but a little too salty for me. Would recommend eating it with ketchup. The katsu bento box was good, nothing exceptional. I think our favorite was the okonomiyaki, just cause not a lot of places offer it here. Looking forward to seeing their different menus throughout the seasons.
google avatar

Martin K.

Yelp
Excellent little Japanese cafe that serves classics like Omurice and Japanese curry. Staff was very friendly and the foodntasted very authentic. There is some traditional seating, too. If you.feel like a little taste of Japan, it's a good place to visit.
google avatar

Niraja S.

Yelp
My favorite spot to get matcha has special menu items this month! I really enjoyed how the ube flavor complemented the matcha after I gave some time for the foam to settle into the drink. The inside is super cute and there's ample seating for those who want to enjoy their drink there. Service is quick as well.
google avatar

Emily L.

Yelp
This was overall such a memorable and amazing experience for me and my family. The strawberry matcha was absolutely divine and good quality, And the omurice was perfectly satisfying along with not being too heavy, leaving me perfectly content. My sister ordered the Chicken Katsu Curry, and it was perfect as well. We also had some pineapple soft serve to finish, which was refreshing and just what was needed. The staff was kind, attentive, and would clean the tables regularly and well. The atmosphere is very relaxing and pleasant to be in. We cannot wait to come back the text time we visit Dallas! :)
google avatar

Trang C.

Yelp
I love getting the matcha here at Okaeri! I got a strawberry foam matcha latte, and it hit the spot! I also got an Okonomiyaki Pancake. This was a nice appetizer that was slightly crispy. I would give it a 7.5/10. The yakisoba with pork is my favorite thing to get here. The chewy noodles paired with the veggies and pork makes the perfect lunch! The seating area is quite small but perfect for 1-4 people. Our food and drinks came out super quickly as well! Overall i would recommend coming for some home japanese food.
google avatar

Cirwan S.

Yelp
Coming back from Japan recently I wanted to find something that reminded me of Japan so I came here so I had good reviews online and decided to give it a try. Right away, I got the kimchi hotdog and the Japanese fried chicken karage. These were both amazing. What l was cool about this spot as they had They had a sit down on the floor seating just like Japan. Also regular seating. My buddy got their beef bowl and their chicken dumplings and love them. They have so many Japanese snacks. It was so cool and they also had the Japanese famous egg sandwich which we also got the restaurant was clean, which is always a plus and the service was great.Next time I'm in Texas I'm definitely gonna check this place out again for new items!

Yelp
Disclaimer: this was first posted on google maps a year ago! I just made a yelp account! My apologies if there has been changes since then! I've been here a couple of times; both by myself and as well as with my friends. I would say that it is a good place to study at in the morning because it is quieter. Towards the end of the day, more people come in to actually have meals so I wouldn't recommend coming in to study then. Food-wise, I've gotten their bento boxes before and they were okay. Sometimes it's good but then sometimes it could be a little bland. The Loaded Fries are really good, actually quite filling. I tried to find a picture but it seems like I lost it. I haven't really tried any of their specialty drinks other than the Charai Guy. It was pretty good if you enjoy brown sugar syrup like I do! Update: I came back a couple of times and I have a couple of thoughts! I got to try some of their seasonal drinks. I believe it was the Cherry Blossom Matcha Latte and the Earl Grey Matcha. I think it was quite sweet for my liking but they can definitely adjust the sweetness level for you!
google avatar

Ivy N.

Yelp
I visited here to study and saw they had a strawberry hojicha latte!! I love hojicha and pairing it with strawberry sounded interesting so I tried it. The flavors paired pretty well together and it wasnt too sweet. The price of it was fair ad well. Inside is very cute with traditional Japanese z seating and decor. There's a decent amount of seating for getting work done and the ambiance is nice.

Yelp
Visited Okaeri Café in Richardson for the first time and had a great experience! I was warmly greeted and assisted with the menu, which made ordering easy. I chose a matcha with strawberry foam, and it was absolutely delicious--it was my first matcha ever The food was just as amazing, and the café's ambiance was so cute and inviting. One detail I really appreciated was the women's restroom--it was thoughtfully stocked with essentials that EVERY women's bathroom should have! Overall, I highly recommend Okaeri Café for its great service, tasty drinks, and charming atmosphere. I'll definitely be back!

Yelp
Amazing food. We always buy 2 meals and 2 drinks, plus takeaway for the next day. We love the weekends because the other dishes becomes available. And student discount is 15%. However, today we had a big chunk of egg shell in the egg sandwich combo pack. We informed the gentleman that was bringing out the food. He just shrugged and tossed it in the trash. No apology, no follow up, no customer service.
google avatar

Yen P.

Yelp
Such a cute little place! There are matcha drinks, coffee, and a variety of Japanese dishes. You seat yourself at the tables or on the tatami floors. There are usually people here working/studying with drinks. I've gone here several times for lunch and have tried the egg omurice, chicken katsu curry, and spam musubi. I would recommend the egg omurice; the egg is soft and falls off right as you cut it open! The demiglaze is very flavorful. Looking forward to coming back and trying the matcha and hojicha drinks :)
google avatar

Anjelica N.

Yelp
I've been wanting to try okaeri cafe for sooo long, and I finally got the chance to over the weekend. My experience overall was great I loved it! The workers were so niceeee and the food was good! I really like the decorations in the inside, and the art on the menu board. They currently have a summer special and it's green tea soba! I was really craving soba so this was definitely a plus to my visit! They are serving the green tea soba all the way through July, so definitely check it out! Here's a list of food and drinks that I tried at my visit: Pandan matcha- refreshing and nice, very pandan flavor with a slight matcha Strawberry latte- good, but I think the coffee flavor overwhelms the strawberry so wasn't really tasting the strawberry Chicken curry- the bun was super soft, and it was filled pretty well. The flavor of the chicken curry was good and moist Omurice- demiglaze was very flavorful, good portion Okonomi hot dog- the bread was different from a regular hot dog, and there were more toppings, but I felt that it was just like a regular hot dog Green tea soba- very refreshing, you can definitely taste the green tea. I really liked the tempura that was paired with it.

Yelp
Food - 5 Service - 5 Value - 4 Great place for Japanese tea drinks -- I like their seasonal flavors and recently had their Peppermint Pandan Matcha drink which I enjoyed. However, then next time I might just ask for Pandan Matcha only. The food they sell is decent as well.
google avatar

Dia N.

Yelp
I loved the shrimp, but didn't have a great experience with the rest. I am sure it was just what we ordered but I left unsatisfied. It is small and fast casual, so no wait service.
google avatar

Justin S.

Yelp
Love how almost every single food item is below $15, everything is affordable. It's also a great place to study (very quiet and free wifi) and drink their delicious matcha drinks. Wish I lived closer!

Beth A.

Yelp
Ordered takeout of the loaded fries and chicken katsu bento. It was delicious, the loaded fries was my favorite. Chicken katsu was crispy and it had the perfect ratio of rice and sauce. I also enjoyed the garden salad side. Not a fan of the seaweed side though, had an off flavor for me.

Yelp
The yakisoba, drinks, and ambience is great... the wind blew me straight to okaeri! Thanks matthew!

Yelp
This is now my favorite cafe in the Dallas-Fort-Worth area! Such a cutely-decorated Japanese and Shiba Inu inspired interior, with yummy matcha drinks and Japanese comfort food. Inside the cafe, are a few small Japanese-style Tatami rooms with floor-mat seating (which I thought was really unique) as well as traditional table seating and some lounge couches. The service is fast and friendly for the most part and the ambience is nice for a chill afternoon for hanging with friends or studying. They have a wide selection of different matcha and tea drinks, as well as a menu of Japanese comfort foods including katsu curry, onigirazu, omurice, yakisoba, bento boxes, and even Japanese-style hot dogs. They are also Shiba-obsessed, as there are Shiba Inu decorations everywhere all throughout the cafe. Here's what I tried: -Okaeri Loaded Fries ($7, such a huge portion!) -Spam Onigirazu ($8) -Omurice ($12) -Japanese Sausage Curry ($14) -Matcha Latte ($5) -Mochi Trio ($6.75) -Free Water -Restrooms and WIFI

Yelp
The food I have is the appetizer Takoyaki, drink ice cream melon soda and entrees is chicken Katu curry is tastes really good. The service here is very friendly, when you walk in the restaurant you have to order your food first and get the number after you order your food before sitting down and they will bring the food out for you. The place looks cozy like Japanese.

Yelp
I absolutely love this gem of a cafè! I usually come here to grab afternoon caffeine and just enjoy my drink inside. Varied seating a full out restaurant menu as well with cute Japanese seated booth areas. Winged back chairs and counter top seating as well. Made for families as well as people just coming to enjoy. The matcha drinks are so good! It's so hard to find hojicha and pandan flavored drinks so I really appreciate living 5 minutes away and being able to have it! Free wifi and a seat with an outlet too. Small cutesy branded store towards the counter. Staff is always welcoming and friendly and super random but peep the restroom photo! No joke, most considerate public restroom I've ever been in - clean and mouthwash and other products for guests. They thought about it all.

Yelp
This cafe is a fun fusion version of Japanese food. On my two visits, I've always felt the environment was welcoming, from the attentive service to the decor to the self-serve water station. I love that you can also grab your own sauces and spices because I tend to like a little extra on everything. The drinks are my favorite part, and I see so many on the menu I'd want to try on my next visit. The food is good as well, though the drinks & environment are what stand out most to me. Such a fun place to bring friends!

Yelp
Cute little Japanese cafe with a diverse menu. I got the Omurice, which wasn't my favorite in the world, but it hit the spot. Would come here again!

Yelp
We loved our visit at this cute cafe. The aesthetics, decor, and theme here is so adorable and clean. There's tables and chairs but also designated areas for floor seating. The workers were so nice and helpful. There's an area to purchase little Knick knacks and snacks. The food we ordered was good as well as filling. They also were very cute. Would recommend this cafe!

Yelp
Okaeri Cafe is an experience and a positive one at that. Delicious food, nice atmosphere and great service. Matthew provided excellent service, offered great suggestions and came by every once in a while to see if we needed anything else. Make sure you ask for him and he will make great recommendations. Thank you for the great service Matthew. Gene also offered some suggestions and we appreciate that. This hidden gem is a must go cafe. We had the Takotaki, shrimp Katsu bowl, pork belly and the pork bun. All wonderfully delicious. We will definitely return and will be bringing more friends to enjoy the Okaeri

Yelp
Food: it's okay Price: Mid I've had their onirgi to-go and it was alright. Nothing super special or amazing. I wasn't bad but I wouldn't return as it didn't really stand out in quality or flavor.

Yelp
Don't fall for the hype! You get better food at Panda Express for A LOT less. $14 for microwaved gyudon. Even worse, $16 for gyudon negi. $2 extra for a little bit of green onion!!! Can't believe places like this survive let alone 4 star rated. Never again!!! Go to Masami for their delicious $10 lunch! Or don't so I can get a table when I go.
