This was by far the best dining experience we have ever had in Florida. We drove up from Port Saint Lucie for an intimate dinner to celebrate my husband's 40th birthday and it was the best choice ever! The restaurant is so welcoming and cozy with old school vibes. We got seated in the bar area and Scotty was our server. He never let our drinks run dry and the table never had any used dishes or silverware left on it. The steak board displaying the different meat cuts was so fun to help navigate the menu. The dessert board that he brought over at the end of our meal was beautiful, definitely have to save room for that next time! 10/10 service, 10/10 atmosphere and 20/10 food. We cannot wait to visit again!

I had hear of this place. I went I. With low expectations. Being born and raised in NYC I loved going to the best and oldest steakhouses in NYC. I walk in and it had a NYC Steakhouse soul. The service was second to none. My server Micky was perfect, the server assistant Jordan was just a good. The food was phenomenal. This will be my special occasion spot from now on. It was my wife & I anniversary, they sprinkled hearts on the table and gave us dessert on the house. This place if Phenomenal from entrance to exit. I love this place!

Iconic WPB steakhouse. We dressed up for Valentine’s Day and were surprised to see how casual the restaurant was after hearing the hype. It’s certainly not as luxurious and ornate as most of the top steakhouses in the area. It’s cool that it’s got its own vibe. We started for a drink at the bar and were amazed at the great demeanor and skill of the bartenders. Our waiter Ronnie was really amazing as was the wedge salad, filet, delmonico and creamed corn. The bread was also fabulous!Food was 5 stars! We will be back!

Had an excellent experience here. The steakhouse itself was top-tier — perfectly cooked steaks, great flavor, and high-quality sides that really stood out. Everything came out exactly how we ordered it, and you can tell they care about consistency and quality. What really made the night though was Scotty. His service was outstanding — attentive without hovering, knowledgeable about the menu, and genuinely friendly. He made great recommendations and kept everything running smoothly from start to finish. You could tell he takes pride in his work, which made the whole experience even better. Between the food and the service, this place definitely delivers. We’ll absolutely be back, and we’ll be asking for Scotty again. Highly recommend.

This is a long time West Palm Beach steakhouse that has been updated just enough to make it feel fresh. Our server, Chelsea was perfect! She answered our questions, was efficient, friendly and there when you needed her.. What more can you ask for? The food was delicious! These are not small portions, and we left very satisfied and with a to-go bag.

The meat is exceptional. Their Dry-aged flavor is terrific and the presentation was impressive for the Porterhouse for 2. Very consistent dining experience, I highly recommend it for those who enjoy a classic steakhouse vibe with top quality meat.

Just waltzed into this gem and was immediately swept off my feet by the hospitality—seriously, I thought I was in a rom-com! As soon as we were seated, our waiter Scott swooped in like a culinary superhero, ready to save the day with a warm welcome and a smile that could light up the room. Scott was like a ninja of service, popping up just when we needed him, making sure our glasses were never empty and our plates were always full. And let’s talk about the food—cooked to perfection! It was so good I was tempted to propose to my plate. Overall, dining here felt like a delightful adventure, and I can’t wait to come back for the sequel! 🍽️✨

Outstanding experience at Okeechobee Steak House! The manager and entire staff were absolutely awesome, friendly, attentive, and made us feel truly welcome from the moment we arrived. My Tomahawk steak was cooked to absolute perfection, hands down one of the best steaks I’ve ever had. The flavor, temperature, and presentation were spot on. My wife and cousins also loved their meals and couldn’t stop talking about how great everything was. We all really enjoyed the restaurant’s atmosphere as well. It was warm, inviting, and perfect for a relaxing evening out. Overall, we had a fulfilling and pleasant experience from start to finish. Highly recommend this place if you’re looking for great food, great service, and a top-notch dining experience. We will definitely be back!

I love coming here. Oldest steakhouse in Florida. We come very often and you get a free steak on your birthday with an equal amount or higher menu item. Servers are always nice and food is always delicious. The steak is perfection. This is really our go to steakhouse. The Brussels Sprouts used to be our favorite side but not sure what happened or if they changed recipe but it didn't taste as good as before. Lights are dim so it feels like a nice setting for date night or special occasions. Definitely come try if you haven't been.

Really old school steakhouse, fun vibes during the winter with all the lights and the Christmas tree inside. I had high expectations of this place based on previous reviews and the parking lot being full 24/7; but was a little letdown by the quality of the food. Everything on the menu sounded so appetizing, we wanted to order it all! We ended up ordering the crab stuffed mushroom caps, iceberg wedge salad, prime filet steak sandwich, and the truffle fries. My partner ordered the Delmonico steak. Most of the food was not well-seasoned, bland, and cold to the touch. All the steak was overcooked (we ordered it medium rare). The steak sandwich was the star of the show- the steak, despite being overcooked, was tender, juicy, and seasoned well. The Gorgonzola mayo and the buttery soft bread made the sandwich taste amazing. Only comment would be the steak would be MORE tender if properly cooked, and the onions on the sandwich should've been fried and crispy (the soggy ones that came on it didn't add to the sandwich at all). Drinks were really great- seasonal mixed cocktails and old school gin martini with hand-stuffed blue cheese olives. Even loved that they served you the leftover in the shaker with your glass. Service at the bar was 10/10- the bartender was friendly, working her butt off, and had a great music selection. I would return here for the ambiance and the vibe, and for JUST the steak sandwich.

Parking here is a challenge! Thankfully, there's additional parking for larger vehicles in the back lot, which was a lifesaver. I came here for Happy Hour (3 PM-6 PM) with a friend. We arrived a little after 4 PM to find the bar packed, and the few empty seats filled up quickly after we got ours. The bartenders were friendly, super attentive, and impressively quick on their feet. Along with our cocktails, we enjoyed an order of potato skins, and I had the steak tacos (two per order). The cocktails were well-crafted and of great quality. The tacos were delicious, with tender, flavorful cuts of steak in each. Happy Hour here is definitely a vibe, and I plan to come back more often to enjoy it!

Got reservations for 5 on New Year's Eve at 7:30pm.. don't know how we got them, but we did.. It was also my big 70th birthday.. service was exceptional, our server Chelsea, was so knowledgeable and even spoke French fluently, since my friend was French as well, they had a great conversation ...I could listen to them talk French all night, but let's talk about the delicious food...we started off with appetizers, I had fried lobster that was to die for, my friend had the escargot that she loved ...on to the main course, I had the lamb chops that were so good, I couldn't finish them.. my brother had the surf and turf , my other friends had filets, and everyone loved their dinners.. The best thing is, you get $40 off for it being your birthday.. a great New Year's Eve and birthday had by all... we will definitely be back!!

The food service with Mr. Fritxand the ambiance was well worth the cost. Which matches the stars 4**** and cost $$$$the waiter. Ase Mr. Fritz. The ambiance was worth $$$$$ the cost of the mall.24

We decided to eat here before going to a concert at the hard rock theater. We started with a wonderful assortment of perfectly baked breads and the moved onto the mains. We had the bone in ribeye and the Alaskan king crab legs. Everything was so superb and top notch I would go back to this restaurant in a heart beat. They were also aware of the concert so they made sure we were finished with our meal in time.

Food and service beyond compare. Excellent wait staff and management. The food was absolutely delicious. Best onion soup ever. The steak we ordered was the ny strip which was just perfectly cooked and of excellent quality. Only complaint was that the noise level in the dining room is much too high but that is really out of their control. Was difficult to carry on a conversation but no matter. We kept eating anyway. Highly recommend this restaurant. Pricey but worth every penny.

The steakhouse was fine and elegant. the steak was a little too fatty, the tomahawk. Dessert was on point and drinks were good, service excellent.

Great spot for happy hour! On a whim, I decided to swing by on a late Sunday afternoon. The bartenders were super sweet and attentive, the ambience was quiet and quaint (perfect for a date night). I ordered a lemon drop (boy they didn't skimp on the vodka!) and the steak slider and bar burger. Everything was delicious!

Food...genuinely outstanding! The wedge salad superb. The best blue cheese dressing with chunks of crumbled blue, bacon and red onion. Nothing spared! The ceaser salad is excellent and enough for two or three people! Generous servings. The steaks are cooked to perfection. Real "old school" and in a fantastic way! You know this is a family owned place. Pride. Immaculate clean. Friendly and genuine. Highly, recommend.

I usually go to the little market or the BBQ that is on the weekends. I went in last night to pick up the Delmonico (boneless Ribeye) served with garlic mashed potatoes and the roasted carrots (without the 'hot' spices). Ma enjoyed the Ribeye and the mashed potatoes were devoured. So I'm thinking that is a good sign. My Crabcake was so good I didn't have time to take a picture and the Gorgonzola Salad was delicious as well. The bar was full and so was the Valet parking. There is more parking directly behind the building. Service was friendly on the phone call to place my order, which they do not accept and you aren't able to order online either. You'll need to come in person to order take-out. This reminds me of one of the old timey steakhouses with the dark decor and booths. Maybe some day I will be able to come in and sit down for a meal. Had a business dinner at Okeechobee Steak House during the week and it was packed for a weekday night! It was very loud and difficult to hear on another from across the table. The menu offers large variety and the appetizers/sides were delicious (asparagus, crab cake, truffle tots, mashed potatoes). The steak on the other hand was mediocre in my opinion as it lacked flavor but was prepared well, as requested. They also offered various desserts.. I believe we tried the bourbon crème brûlée or something of that nature and the bourbon was completely overpowering on the dessert. The server was attentive throughout our dinner. Also, I'm not sure if it was the weather but the parking was a disaster. With the location being on the corner of busy road and the long line for valet and small parking lot, it was a bit chaotic. However, it was pouring with limited space to stand and wait outside and in so that may have added to the chaos.. definitely felt bad for the valet attendant. Overall, it's unlikely I would return.. based on the prices and value, I'd go elsewhere.

Did a birthday celebration here. We had the Porterhouse steak which we shared. It was perfectly cooked and the waitress explained all the cuts. Also did happy hour before and that was pretty good. The bar area is very small and there is limited seating even in the booths. We tried the deviled eggs which were different but very tasty with avocado and bacon. I did not try the dessert but a friend had the creme brûlée and said it was awesome. I would definitely return here for dinner again. It's the place to eat a steak that is not in a pretentious setting. The waitress was friendly and helpful. The ambience is very relaxed, people were in shorts.

Okeechobee Steakhouse is one of our favorites. The food is great, and the service is very good. So why the three stars? Because this is the second time we encountered a 15-plus person party in the main dining room. Needless to say, groups of that size disrupt the ambiance and flow for everyone else. Not only was the group last night loud and disruptive, but many of its members wore so much body spray it smelled like a laundromat. The restaurant has two private rooms, nonetheless in both cases, large groups were splayed across the main dining area. I think we're going to give Okeechobee Steakhouse a rest until they straighten out their reservation policy. Note: It's worth asking about large parties when making a reservation. Unfortunately, we didn't.

Had a wonderful experience at the Okeechobee Steak House! Came for my boyfriend's birthday, on birthdays you get a free 8oz NY strip with a choice of potato (with the purchase of another entree and proof of ID). Our waiter was great, very attentive and made our experience even more lovely. We both started with salads and bread. The bread was good and salads were also tasty. The steak was so tender and cooked to perfection. I was so impressed with the flavor and cut of the steak. For dessert we had a slice of the oreo cheesecake which was great!! Would recommend this restaurant to anyone.

We went there for my daughters birthday. We had an early reservation so we were seated immediately. We ordered the lobster Mac and cheese. The draw back was it was small and hardly had any lobster in it. The flavor was good but not worth the price. I had the filet tid bits . There was a lot of meat in the order and it came with bearnaise sauce and one side. It was very reasonably priced. My daughter had the big filet and shared it with my granddaughter. That came with a side and salad. My husband had the Delmonico steak and my son in-law had the rack of lamb that came with asparagus and risotto. We were all happy with our meals. The garlic mashed potatoes are amazing. For dessert we got the chocolate layer cake to share. It was delicious. The interior is your typical steak house. Wooden booths and hanging lights.

Early Sunday evening, food was excellent. Wine cellar was phenomenal. My server was wonderful and knowledgeable about menu and also the extensive wine list. Spent time discussing pairing options, that resulted in the perfect bottle. Food was out in reasonable time and wine was decanted early to allow time to develop. The only real negative, and is nothing terrible is the noise from bar area. Was not packed, but acoustics did nothing to deaden the conversation. Other than that was superb.

Great food, great service. Great bar. Never disappointed. A favorite of ours. Classic steak house menu.

Oh man. 10/10. The service was exceptional. The food was so decadent. I had the seabass, my fiancé had the lamb. They melted in your mouth. Like omg. It was my fiance's birthday and they placed happy birthday confetti on the table and gave him a card. They also gave a discount because it was his bday. It felt like 5 star restaurant. We will be back!

My wife and I are a sucker for a great steakhouse, and Okeechobee is certainly that. The only reason why the steak house is getting four stars is that while we were waiting for our table to become ready (as we were early), no bartender ever came to where we stood at the bar to ask if we wanted anything to drink in the 10 minutes we were there. And my points for the steakhouse were never added from the meal once we were seated and had our food. Outside of that, our experience was good. Our server was great and made sure we had what we needed. She was spot on with our service (and I made sure she had a good tip). We had a booth in the brick-covered bar area where I enjoyed cocktails such as the Little Piggy which was their take on a smoky old fashioned. With Whistle Pig Piggyback Bourbon and maple syrup, along with bitters and... (wait for it)... smoke, it was a good starter cocktail. The bread was delicious with the creamy butter, the colossal shrimp cocktail was class, and the Tomahawk steak was so succulent and savory. I enjoyed every bite of the steak, although, we still took the bone home for the dog and leftover steak for breakfast omelets. For a finisher (or more like finishers), I had neat pours of the Old Fitzgerald 10 Year and the Parker's release. So while the beginning was a little slow, the evening progressed wonderfully. I would go back to enjoy more tomahawk or the dry-aged cut of ribeye. And some more cocktails and bread.

Okeechobee Steak House is one of my husband and I's favorite places for a birthday or special occasion. It never lets us down! So, of course, we came on Friday for my husband's 41st birthday and upon checking in a little bit early, they said they would text us when the table was ready so we headed to the bar to get a cocktail as we waited. My husband order an old fashioned and I got the Bumble Bee (I believe, it was a gin cocktail) - both very good! After 10-15 minutes, we got the text that our table was ready! At the host's stand, they handed us a birthday envelope as they took us to our table. Our server came over right away and was great throughout! We never had empty glasses :) Drinks - For the table, we ordered a bottle of Chianti Classico Riserva, and it was really good. Paired perfectly with everything we ordered! Food - We started off with french onion soups. This is a MUST if you love onion soup. INCREDIBLE. Then, we both upgraded our salads to caesar salads, one with anchovies and one without (mine). My husband ordered the bone-in ribeye, with a portobello demi-glace and a horseradish crust (on the side), and a loaded baked potato. I ordered the filet mignon with the gorgonzola crust and a loaded baked potato. Everything came out perfectly and tasted heavenly! Dessert - We order the bread pudding to go... there was no way we could eat anymore! We enjoyed it at home later that evening and it was great!! We always recommend Okeechobee Steak House and every experience we have there continues to add to how much we enjoy this restaurant.

I dined at Okeechobee Steak House with a gentleman friend recently, and we enjoyed a fabulous dining experience from end to end! Arriving right before our reservation time, we were warmly greeted and seated at one of the half-moon booths in their 2nd dining room. To begin with, kudos for atmosphere - the overall look and feel of the venue is like that of an old-world steakhouse, but with some very nice modern touches :-) Service was attentive and friendly, without in any way being overbearing. Our server gave us some spot-on recommendations, and we ended up enjoying an outstanding bottle of red wine that complimented our steaks perfectly. My friend had been craving a ribeye done Pittsburgh style, and I'd never had one cooked in that fashion, so I decided to jump in with both feet and we both othered the same entree. When the steaks arrived they were seasoned to perfection very flavorful, and so huge that we could easily have ordered just one to share ;-) The steaks each included both a salad and a baked potato - a great value and a delicious meal! We had so much food that even though we both ate like Marathoners, we had enough food left over to take home and enjoy steaks for breakfast. Oh, and did I mention that the mushroom sides were out-of-this-world? If you're the kind of person that enjoys a fabulous steak dinner, then I heartily recommend that you come here for dinner!

The wedge salad was amazingly amazing!! I think liked their version of blue cheese. Amazing. The delmonico Pittsburgh style was good, but I have had better tasting steaks. My waiter Ronnie was humble, courteous, and welcoming. The ambiance was old skool and I loved it. Over all the service presentation and taste was worthy of recommendation. OLDEST STEAKHOUSE IN FLORIDA.

On the corner of Okeechobee Blvd and Palm Beach lakes: I went for the first time at5-30 on a Wednesday to see if I could sample the place and it's 4-6? Happy hour. Arrived and two people in reception area on phones taking reservations ( and avoiding eye contact) or acknowledging we were there seeking guidance. Brief exchange on trying to go to the bar with the " it's busy but look for yourself". Clearly very busy and apparently all seats and booths full. So now we are here let's eat in the restaurant. Hosts said they would show us a table. "Server be along in a moment" and left. No offer of water or anything else. At this point things start to look up. Enthusiastic server came asked us if we wanted water( no as it happens). Went through display of meats on stray and told us this was the oldest steak restaurant in Florida. Which heard the all to loud other editors say exactly the same spiel which dilutes the personal feel. Food first class Aged steak perfectly cooked and soft and full of flavor. Ceased salad one of the best. Baked potato the best ever. Black and crisp exterior and slightly brown innerds with superb potato flavor. I had crusted Gorgonzola which was beautiful. Wife had au poivre jus which was also just right. Lots of choices of wine by glass and half bottle. A bit pricey but what would you expect from this upmarket "family run oldest steakhouse in Florida " In hot bright West Palm quite a shock to go indoors to this relatively dark,very clean and old style layout. Looked like it was completely remodeled in 1980 and never been used. Which it certainly is as the seats were filling up quite quickly by 6-30. Lots of parking and apparently a meat shop where you could buy the meat and try your hand a creating something as good as you get here for less than the. $100-200 per plate. That all said food and location as good as it gets. Top notch if a little familiar staff who do a good job but not as good as the ones I have experienced in Chicago , New York and Montreal. It is Florida after all and I suspect the prices are lower here than comparable steakhouses in the USA. Oh for Argentina! Apparently they offer a free meal on your birthday! Probabably not wait that long but need to work on getting a happy hour meal by getting here at 4 and before the greeting staff have started taking reservations and have time to speak to you

By far the best steakhouse in area and as good as Burns in my opinion. Go for the Kansas City Cut! Good service and a nice overall menu for all food choices.

Food was great but service was a little lackluster. Had the Delmonico steak and it was cooked a perfect medium rare. The brussel sprouts were amazing, the creamed corn was ok, the mashed potatoes were right behind the brussel sprouts. Will definitely visit again.

A very satisfied new customer here. I had heard great things about this restaurant, and since it was my husband's b-day and there was a steak deal on the special day, we made a reservation and headed out to celebrate. We arrived early, so we stopped at the bar for a craft cocktail. Service was prompt, and we even found two seats. Happy Hour was ending, which is a great deal, too. Sliders with different fillings and potato skins on that menu for $6. My phone received a text for seating in the dining room. We were escorted to a lovely booth. Our server, David, arrived with a great personality and gave us the info on how excited he was to serve us. He brought out the tray of cellophane wrapped meats to explain each cut available. We were surprised that the dinners included a salad and side potato, so we skipped ordering an appetizer. We loved the croissant like bread rolls, which were so fresh and soft. Our salads were excellent too. My husband got the gorgonzola salad, which is pretty much a house salad with added gorgonzola on top. I opted for their ranch dressing, and all dressings are made in-house. The steaks arrived cooked perfectly with the side potato. The birthday strip steak ($41.99 discount) and the 9oz filet with horseradish cream on top was the best we have had in a long time. I asked for my potato to be scooped, so it was more like a fried potato skin with the butter and sour cream on the side. For an added few dollars, you can add melted cheese and bacon, which was well worth it. David checked on us frequently, which we really appreciated. Water was self-served in a bottle on the table, so we had extra glasses of ice to keep it cold. The dessert platter was decadent, but we were just too stuffed to partake, but next time, we will definitely get the peanut butter pie. The dining room was very loud, and after looking around at the other patrons, we noticed how casual people were dressed. Many looked like they just walked off the golf course or the ball fields. We were happy to be dressed for our event, but next time, we will dress much more casual.

We try to go here at least once a month. We like Gin martinis and they usually have a small batch type of gin on their happy hour. The happy hour wine is usually just as good and most of the time from California and a good Merlot or Cab can be had at happy hour pricing. If we are not doing happy hour menu we are ordering the huge bone in Filet Mignon, MR Pittsburgh style (for those that do not know Pittsburgh style is a rare cooked with a char on the outside that is fabulous) , baked potato on the side. (We do not get the cheese and bacon anymore, we did it once and it's hardly worth it. You only get a bite or 2 with the goodies, not enough to last the whole potato) and a salad with their own home made blue cheese dressing. The dressing is fabulous! Try it if you havent. We used to go back and forth between the sautéed mushrooms ($10.99) and the sautéed onions ($4.99) to have with our steak. They offered to do 1/2 and 1/2 but you're paying $10.99 so they do not split the price in half. Lately we have just been doing onions because I feel for $10.99 for some sautéed mushrooms they should fill up the container - to the top - and maybe even overflow it a bit. So, we just get the onions. We always sit at the bar and the bartenders are amazing. Una and Colette are pretty much always on and they do a great job to make sure everyone has drinks and is happy with their food. The bar area can be really packed or dead, it's kind of a hit or miss. It can also be a bit loud in the bar area. Sign up with your phone number and after so many times of you going you get points. $15 off $150, free appetizer, free dinner if you buy one dinner, then the MAIN email you look for is the 2 FREE DINNERS on them. Yep, you can have whatever your heart desires on the house! We've only gotten that a few times but my husband gets the Tomahawk and he loves it. The ONLY think I have anything bad to say is (ok make it 2) please do NOT put your tomatoes in the fridge. It ruins the texture. So please hold the tomatoes on my salad and please put someone in charge of bread patrol. I mean you guys have the BEST bread on, quite possibly, the whole planet and on more than one visit I sent it back because it was hard / old. But neither one of these bother me enough to take away from the experience , exceptional service, and fabulous food. See you again soon!

Ultimately, it does not matter how I write this review, as this place is always busy and a staple to WPB. The service does not have to be anything unique because they know you will always keep coming back. You would think at a steakhouse that, they could cook a steak properly, but it is hit or miss here. The bartenders are also hit or miss. Sometimes, they perform exceptionally; other times, you walk in and go, "Not again," as you see that you are the bartender. If you come here, it may be fantastic. But go a few times and see if the experience is the same.

We have come here since I was a kid. We have not been in years due to the fact that they took prime Rib off the menu. They had it on for an Easter special. Our waiter told us it would be just as we remembered it- unfortunately it was NOTHING similar. We were very disappointed with the prime rib. Our waiter was great but everything took forever - I'm assuming this was the kitchens fault? There were only two of us and we both ordered prime rib which was already cooked. We got French onion soup as our app and our waiter split it for us - which was great! Not sure we will return if I'm being honest.

In town for a spring training game at Roger Dean to celebrate my dad's retirement. He is a steak connoisseur, so I decided why not take him to the oldest steakhouse in Florida and West Palm. We truly enjoyed ourselves, good cocktails and even better food. We had a late lunch so took our time to finish our steaks. My dad had the porterhouse and I had the filet. I also tried the crab cake. For dessert we had cheesecake, although my dad was adamant about them adding a bananas foster to the dessert menu. I recommend making a reservation and leaving room for dessert. Really good evening and I feel like when we come back in town we will return. Loved the service and how our server took time to talk us through the menu and made good recommendations based on our tastes. I love a spot that has character, and this is it.

Wife and I always wanted to go here when we would visit the area on a day trip. We live two hours away. After several failed attempts with their wait time being 1.5-2 hours on a Saturday night. We could never get in. It's our fault for not making a reservation. Finally on an early Sunday evening we got in. The service and atmosphere are 5/5 stars. They treat you like royalty. The food on the other hand was an enormous let down. Wife and I were so disappointed at the mediocre quality and taste of all of our dishes. We have had better at other less reputable steak houses in Florida. Even around the corner at a local competitor. So don't believe the hype. It was a costly meal and we were not pleased with the taste of the food. I can't recommend.

Consistently the best experience here. Food, service, atomosphere. We ordered our Thanksgiving meal from them, and they knocked it out of the park! Best turkey I've ever had! Thanks for making our holiday easy, and successful!

It was my birthday and we made it kind of a tradition to go to Okeechobee Steak House on my birthday. Okeechobee Steak House gives you a free steak dinner on your birthday and that's enough incentive for me. It's a very charming restaurant and the night that we were there, it was fairly loud. Loud is not bad especially when you can tell that the rest of the guests are having a good time. We ordered French onion soup for an appetizer and shared it, I ordered the largest steak on the menu, which is the bone in aged Ribeye Steak with a baked potato. My wife ordered the crab stuffed shrimp with the baked potato. The French onion soup was delicious and we devoured it completely. Our entrées came out next, and both of them were perfect. My steak was medium rare just like I ordered it and her shrimp were arranged beautifully on the plate. We both enjoyed our meals tremendously. My one little problem was, after our food was served, we did not see our server again until we were finished. We had to ask another server to bring us more butter and sour cream for our potatoes just a small hitch. Considering all it is a fabulous place to eat, and I will return soon and have dinner again.

A wonderful family dinner at our favorite Steakhouse, it did not disappoint!!! Okeechobee Steakhouse we've been coming here for over 25 years! A classic New York style Steakhouse ambiance with leather booth's, dark wood with warm lighting! Fine wine, delicious sweet scallops and buttery risotto with sautéed caramelized onions, ribeyes perfectly cooked, rare, with sautéed mushrooms and Béarnaise sauce baked potato and salad! Wow! Absolutely delicious - perfection! Huge portions! Absolutely amazing service! Patrick was our server extraordinaire! Charming, knowledgeable, attentive and funny! 5 Star Service with a smile! Definitely ask for Patrick when you make your reservation! It was a very busy Wednesday evening and we weren't rushed! We ordered our bottle of fine wine first and enjoyed it as we decided on our entree's. Love the new menu! Thank you for bringing back the Pork chops, lamb chops and scallop entrees!!! I chose the scallops tonight! I always order the a Delmonico Pittsburgh style medium rare but tonight was sweet delicious scallops! My sister and brother in law ordered the Delmonico! Their desserts are amazing but we were too full to even consider! I highly recommend their coconut cream pie and creme brûlée! I highly recommend the Okeechobee Steakhouse!

Amazing experience from drinks at the bar to dinner. Okeechobee steakhouse is a landmark in the area, supposedly the oldest steakhouse in Florida. It has that old fancy steakhouse feel with the big comfy red booths. Not white table cloth but the ambiance was perfect. My husband and I had a round of drinks at the bar. Someone told me they make the best cosmopolitan martinis so I had to get one. Well with the shaker it was two and boy was it a strong one! Then off to our table for dinner reservation. We had to wait a few extra minutes for a booth instead of a table so I know for future to specify when I book the reservation. Our seat was intimate, lighting was good. We started with their warm bread and butter and a crab cake appetizer, it was fantastic. I really enjoyed the homemade ranch dressing and croutons for my salad. For birthdays they give a $41 discount on any steak you would like so of course I tried the porterhouse. How they were able to get each side the fillet and stripe to a perfect medium I will never know but it was fabulously cooked. Definitely enough leftover for lunch the next day. Our server was great, very attentive. We definitely will return.

One of the best steakhouses that I have been to, and I use to work at Peter Luger in New York. Okeechobee has been around for 75 years, and you can feel the tradition in the wood and leather ambience that envelopes you when you walk in. They have a terrific happy hour and strong drinks, but obviously the star of the show is the dry aged prime steaks. This is the type of place you go to when you want to celebrate something, or reward yourself with some of the most delicious food that you can put in your mouth. My wife got the filet and I got the porterhouse. I don't have the vocabulary to accurately describe the flavor that burst from the porterhouse steak. Just go here. Mandatory stop for all true foodies. Perhaps one of the best things about Okeechobee, they will give you a free sirloin dinner for your birthday. If you would rather a different cut, they are happy to accommodate and just subtract the difference from your bill. The only catch is you must go on the actual day of your birthday. Sign up on their website. Going here on birthdays is a new family tradition for us because it is just that good. I would give 6 stars if I could. Even with the discount, dinner will set you back. Know that ahead of time and temper your drinks, appetizer, and dessert order accordingly to match your budget.

Everything is always top notch! Drinks were perfect and the food was cooked perfectly. Great presentation and the server knew exactly when to come by to make it a perfect evening. Great ambiance for a romantic date.

I knocked off a star because the waiter got our order wrong multiple times, but he was a super nice guy. Came here with colleagues- drinks were great. Was informed that happy hour only happens if you sit at the bar. We just ordered off the regular menu at the table. Ordered the ny strip med rare with truffle butter, my colleague got the filet med well w truffle butter, and our third colleague got a filet med rare. Mine came out well, hers came out red. I just ate mine but hers we sent back. It came back the way she wanted it but with no truffle butter. (Strike two). She then asked for a Pinot Grigio and she got a Pinot noir (strike three). The sides were great but very expensive for the portions. The show with torching the butter was a nice touch. Waters were always refilled and menu was well explained. Cool, dark, old school vibe. Very expensive to get multiple things wrong but all in all great meal.

Absolutely the best steak, service, ambiance and two birthday guests! Felt so indulged! Yes, it's pricey but I took Hal home and had two more meals so actually a great deal after all! My family from California wants to go again on their next visit!!!!

Atmosphere was nice, quaint intimate & good ambiance. Food was bland,steak was not seasoned well, not a lot of seasoning on any of the food. Longhorn steak is better tasting, however Steaks were quality cut of meat. Service was good & friendly. Price was a little high for what we expected food to taste like. Overall mid level not high end as we thought but descent.

My second time there. It's such an awesome place. Great food, sexy staff, a fantastic happy hour and even better wine and spirits selection. Amber served us, and she actually remembered me! Very awesome to feel like a local when you aren't a local. For me, I had to show my wife the 40 day dry aged bone-in ribeye....which I've ordered Oscar twice now. The sauce and the crab meat are just a perfect addition to the steak. Plus, it's even better the next morning when you eat your leftovers. I absolutely love this place. Ooooh I forget to add....Thai Chili Shrimp over avocado quarters! My new fav....I'm going to make these at home! Yummy!! Will definitely return and will bring more friends and family at every opportunity.

Hands down the best meal in Palm Beach County. This is our go to when we need a perfect meal. The service is always on point and the staff remembers the smallest details. Have been many times and never had an issue. If you need a solid meal with friends or loved one this is the best place in the area no question 11/10.

Excellent service, ambiance, and incredible food! Ronnie was very attentive and was a great energy for a birthday celebration. We can't wait to come back!

(April 2024) After spending the day at the Lion Country Safari (April 29), we stopped in for an early dinner. Although it was only a little after 4:00pm on a Monday, the bar area was full. For our first visit, we opted for the happy hour bar bites menu. Between the two of us, we ordered the smokehouse burger ($7), steak tacos ($8), loaded tater tots ($7), and split a Caesar salad (not on the bar bites nor the regular menu). The only item that was a little disappointing were the steak tacos and that was only because there were only two of them. Everything else was amazing - especially the smokehouse burger! I would rank this up there with the one I had at the Brown Derby in DW's Hollywood Studios. Our server, David, took good care of us. Towards the end, he brought out a tray full of various desserts. It was unfortunate we already had desserts (from Versailles Bakery in Little Havana, Miami) in our hotel mini fridge because the ones David brought out looked much better. We are definitely hoping to stop by again on subsequent trips to WPB.

Yes, there was a wait to be seated as reservations were not available. That was on us, we did not attempt to make reservations until 48 hours prior to arrival. We were a party of 4. Upon arrival, we were told the wait would be an hour. We waited at the bar and were served by two very pleasant bartenders. Exactly at 1 hour, we were called to the hostess stand to be seated! Our waiter was professional, knowledgeable, attentive and friendly. The quality of the food outstanding. We will definitely be returning. Wonderful experience.

Bad service and they overcooked my hamburger ordered it medium rare, and I got it almost well done

Perfection at its finest. I had gotten the savor the flavor dish. It was a tomahawk steak with bone marrow butter. I had the first bite without the butter and I was in heaven. The steak was tender and VERY flavorful. But, when I had it with the bone marrow butter it was better than heaven. My server Jessica was very attentive. She made sure everything was to my liking. The ambiance is very nice but it does get noisy during peak hours.
