My wife and I went here for lunch today, and the burritos are huge. If you’re a person with an average sized appetite, I’d suggest sharing a burrito with someone else—they’re that big. The food is made with quality ingredients but it isn’t super tasty. They need a special sauce to make it pop. The food here is also crazy expensive. It cost nearly $40 for my wife and I to eat—wild, right? The customer service is good.

Google
Fantastic please. Super delicious burritos that I crave daily! Service is fast and I love the old school decor inside. The staff is so nice as well. Best place for miles! I ordered peewee Ol Skol burrito with Inca sauce. It’s great for lunch also!

Google
My wife and I have been on the hunt for a burrito that tastes like home (Nor Cal). Today we found it when we stopped in for lunch. The decor and vibe is through the roof. The food came out and the burritos were stuffed. My wife got the El Torito with chicken and I got the Ol' Skool with steak. The flavors are on point and we can't wait to bring the kids. If you haven't checked them out don't wait any longer!!!!

Google
Amazing atmosphere and the owners are great! Food was top notch! We got some loaded fries and two burrtios! It all had seasoning to rhe prefect amount! We will become regulars from now on! A great twist on burrtios and fries.

Google
By far the BEST burrito I’ve had since moving to Utah from out of state. The flavor and quality were amazing and we walked away full and happy. The service and everyone we spoke to were so kind. We will definitely be back!❤️

Google
Family owned business with amazing food! Started eating here when they were a food truck! Go get some amazing food and meet this fantastic family! Recommend the biggy gaucho burrito!

Google
This is my third time eating at OL’ SKOOL and every time has been nothing short of amazing. We didn’t realize a burrito can taste so good. Every time I get the Chicken OL’ SKOOL burrito with an extra side of the Inca sauce. The fries are perfectly seasoned and crispy. The chicken is great. The tortilla is perfectly crispy. The sauce compliments everything well and the guac is great. Every time I’ve been here we have been treated by Jackie who is super nice and breaks down the menu nicely. The vibe of the place reminds me of a California tattoo parlor with banger music playing. If you’re used to places like Chipotle and want something a little more, taco truck-esq and way tastier, give this a shot! We literally will drive from Taylorsville just to get some food here. Appreciate the OL’ SKOOL Crew! 🔥 -Mike

Google
I don’t have much more to add beyond what others have already said—this place is fantastic. The lady at the front who took my order was so kind and welcoming, even asking if it was my first time there. She offered recommendations and was genuinely helpful. The burrito was massive, with both quality and quantity packed into every bite. What an absolute gem of a spot. Thank you!

Yelp
My husband and I were invited to an exclusive brunch at Ol Skool to introduce their new breakfast burrito called The G. The event started out with a bang on a Sunday morning with endless mimosas! The guava went quick, but my husband and I were happy with the orange and pineapple mimosas. While enjoying our mimosas, they brought out the appetizer. It was freshly made guacamole topped with a chili crisp, and it included a flight of their sauces. I'm a sucker for a good guacamole...and their guacamole is great! I loved the chili crisp on top (it reminded me of the Foo Fries they had one time). The chips were salted perfectly and had a good crunch to them. The green sauce was so good, and we liked dipping the guac in it to give the guac a little bit of spice. The salsa had great flavor and I saved some for the main course, but ended up taking the salsa home (I'll touch on that later). The main course was their new special called "The G" which consisted of crinkle cut fries, scrambled eggs, basque chorizo, cheese, Inca sauce, onions, and their new Hood sauce all wrapped up in a flour tortilla. I took one glance at that burrito and I knew I was going to love it, and boy was I right! That sauce mixed with the chorizo and crispy fries really took this burrito to a whole new level. Dare I say it's my new favorite? That flavor and the crunch of the fries really made my tastebuds happy....so much so that I didn't want to change a thing by adding the salsa I saved. The side of fries came with a small container of Hood sauce. With each bite, my husband and I could taste a familiar flavor, but we couldn't quite put our finger on it.....and they wouldn't tell us their secret. We understood though because it's good! After a little bit of digesting, they served us some dessert. It was called "Churros Foster" and it consisted of churros, vanilla ice cream, and it was covered with bananas foster. This dessert was to die for! The cinnamon...the vanilla....the banana....I wanted to lick the bowl clean! I wish this was going to be a new addition to the menu, but for now it's not and I understand. I still really enjoy the churros on their dessert menu. Mimosas, delicious food, and good company! This was such a fun experience and we were very grateful to be invited.

Yelp
A place that will definitely keep you wanting to come back for more! The vibe of the place is always on point and the staff is always friendly and personable. Food is absolutely delicious and will leave your mouth watering! If you are in search for a good, authentic place to get a burrito, look no further than Ol Skool.

Yelp
Ol' Skool burritos makes this 38 year old woman want to take up skateboarding in Southern California. The vibe is cool with vintage tattoo graffiti walls. There is a pay phone if you want to bring the kids and prove to them pay phones were a thing and not a conspiracy. The owner has a cool pinup girl style and welcoming attitude. Her employees are helpful and willing to throw in recommendations. We have never been disappointed with our food. The ingredients are fresh and crisp. Make sure you go early because they have a tendency to run out of chicken if you're into birds. The biggie sized burritos are as big as a Golden Retriever's face and are the perfect size for sharing with a Golden Retriever or spouse. The Pee-wee is for a normal adult appetite. Drinks are sold by the bottle and sometimes they don't have the most vast selection because they've been selling their burritos all day. You snooze you lose. Syracuse, this is a gem!

Yelp
Honestly food was bomb. Everyone we encountered was kind and our order came out quick. Portions are large! I got a small size and still could not finish. Yummy sauces to pick from. My spouse had the OG one and it was a little dry. Definitely need the sauce. However my burrito with the enchilada sauce was so damn good! My only complaint is the place smelled strong of fried food and it clung to our clothes and hair after leaving. Still would not stop me from going back.

Yelp
Absolutely love this place! We have been back atleast 5x now & it is a new favorite. I crave the food all the time. The vibes is cool & the owners even cooler! Highly recommend supporting this local business!

Yelp
Conveniently located in a plaza with other food places and Walmart, you'll find Ol' Skool. They make amazing burritos and loaded fries. The number one seller is the Ol'Skool for the burrito but my favorite is the Gaucho. You can choose between chicken or steak and peewee or biggie size. You also get to choose one sauce. My favorite is the Shot Caller! Warning though, the Shot Caller is super spicy so if you can't handle spice, I'd choose one of the other ones. What I normally order is the Gaucho Burrito, Biggie size, with Guac and Cheese, and the Shot Caller sauce. The burrito is packed and full of flavor! Because I get the biggie size, I always have leftovers and get to eat it for dinner or for the next day. I highly suggest coming here for lunch or dinner. Also, pay attention to their hours of when they are open. They do close in the middle of the day and open back up for early dinner. If you the have the means to do so, don't forget to tip! Cash is the preferred tipping method here :)

Yelp
The food itself was incredibly delicious. So I just have small notes that would have improved the overall experience for 5 stars... The light fixtures looked cool but hung in front of the menu, blocking it. When I mentioned it to the cashier she said "I don't got no money to fix it. too late now. And it's funny to watch people bob their head around. Haha" ...ok? It wasn't fun to bob my head around to look at. The menu itself was confusing to follow. While the graphics were cool and edgy, there were issues with functionality of what is available. They do not have any sort of non-bottled drinks. If you want water you buy a bottle. (Which sucks because I'm white and even their mild sauce was a tad tingly). But they also have a bold sign that you can't bring in your own drink. My burrito came with sauce and when I asked if they could just put it in the burrito instead of in the side, they said "no it only comes in a 2 oz cup on the side." But like, you're making the burrito already. The burrito was delicious and to size, but not wrapped. So it was hard to hold and eat. Also the burritos do not come with cheese, which feels silly because, well, it's a burrito. It was $.50 extra. Overall, it is such a cool joint. Leans into the theme and aesthetic. But those few little things would really make it a 5 star place I'd be happy to come back to again. I will probably still come back but those things did bug me. Hence the -1 star.

Cindy H.

Yelp
Ordered chicken bowls. They were low on rice so I said we could do half beans/ half rice, I got charged extra for refried beans. Wtf? The bowl wasn't half full and not much chicken. No chips to go with our bowls. Sign on the door says "no outside food or drinks" so our choices were soda $3 or bottled water for $2 (Sam's club brand that costs $.10/bottle) They don't have water in cups Wanted to like it but we won't be back. I'm originally from SoCal and this isn't Cali Mexican food.

Yelp
Another new restaurant opened up in Syracuse! We were super excited about this one because we have had them before when they were a food truck! Their burritos are a California style. The Ol' Skool burrito (pictured) is full of seasoned fries, guacamole and your choice of steak or chicken. I chose steak and it was a good choice! It's very flavorful and not chewy like a lot of fast food steak is. I also ordered my burrito with the Ol' Skool sauce. It's like a jalapeño ranch and is on the medium side for spice! I 100% recommend that sauce on your burrito. Super good. They also serve tacos, fries, and churros! Inside there is a lot of seating, and it's a nice relaxing atmosphere. The food came fast and the staff was super friendly! They even gave me a sticker which I thought was super nice. I'm a big fan of everything that opens up in Syracuse. I love supporting our local businesses!

Yelp
Been coming here almost weekly lately. The burritos are delicious, haven't tried anything else because they're so good! Staff is also friendly! Would highly recommend to anyone that loves a good Cali style burrito.

Yelp
Great team, the family was lovely. The food was unbelievable! The sauces, are all made on site and they were unreal! Recommend most highly

Yelp
This place has delicious food and a fun atmosphere! The staff is friendly. Everything I have tried from the menu has been excellent. I also love that they have multiple sauces to choose from.

Yelp
We had the opportunity to grab some dinner here last week. Service was great and very welcoming. Their menu items have plenty to choose from and should fulfill your appetite, if you are in the mood for a California style Burrito or tacos. We visited around 4:45pm on a Saturday. They were already out of their fried tacos, which was unfortunate. My wife tried the street tacos instead. The tacos were typical and what you expect, but the chicken lacked seasoning and flavor. I had the burrito special of the day, which was a steak burrito with fries, onions, tomatoes and guacamole. It was really large and filling. Overall, the opportunity to support local is an important factor for us and this is a shop that is definitely local and hard working. We will stop by again in the future to try other items.

Yelp
Damn! Food was bomb! You will not leave hungry. Burritos and loaded fries....so so good! Very clean and cool vibe inside. Super nice employees. We will be back for sure. Thanks for a delicious dinner!

Yelp
Amazing food! Employees and owners are very friendly. Def will come back. Love the decor, reminded me of my childhood in California

Yelp
This place definitely deserves 5 stars!!! Great customer service and fast! Decided to finally check this place out for lunch on a Friday! Cute little place in Syracuse. They had an old pay phone on display which was awesome to see that! The layout of the restaurant was nice. You walk in and there's a tall table and behind are cool small tables. You can see the kitchen when you walk in which i thought I was pretty cool! The cashier who helped us was very friendly and helpful! She recommended the Ol Skool burrito was popular! We ordered the Pee wee size, and man that was still a huge burrito! I can't imagine what the normal size is!
google avatar

Jennifer J.

Yelp
My husband and I tried this place last week and LOVED it. I got the Ol' Skool burrito with steak and my husband got the Gaucho burrito with steak as well. We loved them both and plan on visiting often!
google avatar

Randi H.

Yelp
Came here for a birthday dinner with my husband. It was a fantastic choice! All the workers are so friendly and helped tell us about the items on the menu. We both ended up getting loaded fries. I got chicken and my husband got steak. Holy cow! So yummy! Crispy fries, well seasoned meat with awesome sauces. For dessert, we got the churros. Also mega delicious! Food is made fresh to order, and not a long wait. The inside is clean, fun and you can tell the employees enjoy their job. Looking forward to coming back soon!

Yelp
This place has great reviews, but I was not impressed the slightest. The vibes were very hip and made me feel like a teenager in C.A again, the music was good, the staff was great and helpful. There is only one bathroom and no changing pad for anyone that needs to know. I came in on a Saturday at 6pm. It wasn't busy, the food didn't take long. I was dissatisfied w the food. The burritos are overpriced and not even a burrito. I'm sorry charging extra for beans cheese rice? Strange, that's what a burrito is. We got the regular that simply came w fries, protein and salsa. Bland yes, but again why do I have to pay "extras" for what a burrito comes with, let's be real, burritos are ordered bc people want all of that. We also got fries, they're salty but edible and good enough. My order of "Street tacos" ZERO stars. Have you ever had a street taco? Ok I grew up eating them so all my life it's been onions and cilantro and lime at the LEAST. There are NO LIMES. The sign is up "No limes" most Latinos love limes ‍ there's also no pico in sight, radishes fine if you don't have em, but ultimately this place is not authentic. The salsas are good, the protein choices are simple- chicken or steak. It is a fun place to go hang out and eat bland Mexican food- like white version where you enjoy the good stuff and not the original stuff. It's very much for the young crowd, not a family dinner outing that wants a good filling meal at good prices. I'm sorry that it was nothing more than that. Again the staff was great and the place is cool, but the food is not impressive whatsoever.

Yelp
My wife and I went there tonight and the food was delicious. We met the owner and all of the staff and they were very friendly and helpful as it was our first time there. Very cool vibe as soon as you enter through the door! Be sure to Cali-Up and all of their homemade sauces are great and the chimmichuri sauce is fire! Highly recommend you go grab some awesome food and if you have questions just as the staff they won't steer you wrong!
google avatar

Sean W.

Yelp
One of my favorite "go to" mexican food places in Davis County. I love their food. The fries and large burritos are filling and super big.
google avatar

Wendy R.

Yelp
I have been hesitant to come here because the menu intimidated me with the variety of sauces (definitely user error on my part). However, they had a great guide at the counter and extremely friendly customer service to help me choose my dinner. Our food was very fresh and tasted amazing. It's a unique take on food that I loved. I highly recommend them!
google avatar

Yelp
SYRACUSE!!! FINALLY A WORTHY BURRITO HAS COME TO TOWN! 5/5 or 10/10 however you wanna split it, Ol Skool is top notch! The food truck origins show in the best way via tasty authentic cuisine! The combination of fantastic food, and super friendly staff makes Ol' Skool the perfect place for a high quality quick lunch or full on dinner-Change your plans and head over to Ol' Skool immediately!
google avatar

Vaishali P.

Yelp
Omg the food is out of this world delicious! Both beautiful ladies were able to accommodate all of our vegetarian needs without out compromising the taste!! From the fries, to the tacos to the delicious spicy red salsa. Just . I found my spot!!
google avatar

Alberto D.

Yelp
Really good tacos and burritos! They're from CA and it's hard to find a good Mexican spot out here, especially in Syracuse lol. Cool vibes inside, makes me feel like I'm back in LA. Great service too!! A spot you should check out!
google avatar

Morgan K.

Yelp
Food was okay at best for the price paid. Definitely something I won't be going back for anytime soon unless they adjust prices. I got the gaucho loaded fries as recommended by the people working there, fries are cheap mass produced crinkle cut fries that have some seasoning nothing special with a small topping of steak and sauce. And the guacamole was also not that great, the one thing that was unique and good were the sauces but that's about it... if they used homemade fries and gave a decent amount of steak I could see it being worth the price but this is definitely short of what I paid for... presentation of the food looks good but the cost and quality just isn't there...
google avatar

Carol R.

Yelp
Tried their loaded fries with steak and their steak street tacos. Both were great. Topped it off with a churro. Best churro I ever had! Definitely will return. Another note friendly staff made for a great visit.

Jay P.

Yelp
Burrito lived up to all the reviews and hype! Owners are super cool, delivery of the food was fast. Got the Steak Ol School Biggie it was huge and took some home. The Shot Caller sauce is nice and hot
google avatar

Michelle D.

Yelp
Overpriced for what you get. Nothing special. Food was salty. Staff was mediocre. Felt like they couldn't care less if they had any business.
google avatar

Stephani G.

Yelp
The food is amazing! I don't know what they put on the chicken, but yumm!! We've been here a few times and have found ourselves already craving to go back. While we're usually creatures of habit on certain foods, my husband can't help but try something different each time and it never disappoints. The owners and staff are the sweetest people. So nice and friendly with everyone that comes in. The art work on the wall is perfect addition to the spot. Our daughter notices different things each time we go.
google avatar

Aundrea D.

Yelp
We are so happy this place opened so close to us. The owners make you feel like you're already homies when you walk in, love the decor of the restaurant. The burritos are def a fav for our family. Do you're self a favor and eat here. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because the tacos were kind of dry for my taste. But those burritos make up for it. I need to try some fries next time I come in!
google avatar

Nate K.

Yelp
DO NOT MISS THIS! Tried the Ol' Skool (with steak) and Saladrito (with chicken) burritos, Biggy size. Both proteins were extremely well seasoned. The burritos themselves? HUGE. And packed with flavor! There was no skimping on the ingredients, especially the sauces. My seventeen-year-old couldn't stop talking about the fries that accompanied the steak in the Ol'Skool. His words: "You can't go wrong with potatoes in a burrito, but these fries just kick it to the stratosphere!" Indeed. We've got pretty limited quality food choices in Syracuse. We're seeing more national brands move in, of course. Jack-in-the-Box--meh, do we really need plant protein in our meat? And now Chipotle's coming to town literally kitty-corner from the shopping center that houses this local gem. Ol' Skool's righteous SoCal vibes and sublime food demand attention and deserve long-term Syracuse residence. Wow--what a burrito.
google avatar

Aaron C.

Yelp
Good gut filling tasty burrito and the staff have always been nice. It's an interesting spin on a burrito. I'll be back.

Dan H.

Yelp
The service was good. Very friendly staff. They don't have a soda dispenser which means no free water cup which is annoying. You have to pay $2 for a plastic water bottle likely from Costco or something? The food was average. The burrito has flavor, but is very dry, especially with the fries inside. They need some kind of sauce inside to help breakup the dryness. It's worth a visit, but for the cost you can definitely get better food elsewhere.

Elizabeth H.

Yelp
The food was delicious... had a chilaquiles burrito, chicken street tacos, and an El Torito. I would highly recommend. Must try this place if you want a great burrito and tacos... will definitely come back!!!
google avatar

Steph H.

Yelp
We got the fries with steak and they were so good and a big portion- 2 people can definitely share it. The fries were hot and crispy and seasoned well and the toppings I added cheese and gauc and it was soooo good! We also tried the street tacos and loved them both -the chicken and the steak. Their sauces are so thick and fresh and delicious-with the right amount of heat. I loved the flavor of the mild one (inca I think) I wish it was closer to us.. but we will definitely be back. It's not cheap- but it is worth it price.

Tupou T.

Yelp
third time we've come on a Friday around 3pm, and the place is locked, closed. Online, weekly hour schedule, and door dash show them being open.

Ed W.

Yelp
Well it was a big burrito, but mostly fried potato's. Kinda bland. I'll try them again though. Wasn't impressed
google avatar

Lynn J.

Yelp
Ok, so this review goes out to the home girl back there cooking up some fandamtastik eats! I'm a hard sell because I am allergic to garlic, but they did me up good! I missed out on the steak so I'll definitely be back! Service was stellar, we took a few minutes to figure out what I was gonna nosh on, and they were patient as ever! The scenery in there, off the hook y'all's!! Not one thing I can say wrong about my visit!
google avatar

Jeremy C.

Yelp
My taste buds lament my stomach is not larger. The location is a bit hard to find but worth the effort.

Jason H.

Yelp
Staff is friendly and funny! Food is great and the sauces are on point. The had the Curry Burrito which was a special they had had it was so good.

Dillon Y.

Yelp
Great food! I got a burrito and loved it. Good price for a huge burrito, I go the bigger size. I wish they had fountain drinks here, just stuff in bottles. Food and service was great though!
google avatar

Cindy C.

Yelp
Awesome burritos and tacos. The Churros with caramel were very good! Truly made me homesick for California food. Can't wait to come back and get the fries. The service was warm and inviting and the location was cool inside.

Coby P.

Yelp
Ol'skool is by far the best Mexican restaurant in Utah. I come here to eat every chance I get. There isn't a single thing in the menu that doesn't make your mouth water and leave you wanting more. the staff is super friendly and always makes sure to give you the best experience possible while dining. 10/10 would recommend to anyone!

Craig M.

Yelp
Fast and friendly service, plus the food was amazing! A nice change to the typical Mexican style food.

Maria K.

Yelp
Food is good, people are awesome! Can't got wrong with the loaded fries or the Olskool Burrito!

Chris W.

Yelp
Have you ever taken the first bite of something and said "oh sh!t..." ? This place is probably the best food I've had in Utah. The owners and staff are incredible. The food is absolutely delicious. Strongly recommend you give it a go.

David G.

Yelp
The food taste really good they. Just need to toast there tortillas more for their burritos. Haven't tried much of their other food but I'm sure it's good!
