The 38 Best Restaurants in Santiago, Chile | Eater

"Chef Sergio Barroso, an alum of El Bulli and Santiago’s own Restaurante 040, opened his modern seafood restaurant inside the 45 by Director hotel. The elegant, contemporary dining room is decked with flared columns and accented by lime green chairs. The first Leed-accredited zero-waste restaurant in Latin America, Olam serves dishes like llauna de chipirones (rice with squid) in a pan with dots of black garlic, while items like fideuà, served with rock lobster from the Juan Fernández Islands, show off Barroso’s Spanish roots. Check out the confit artichokes stuffed with wagyu osso buco and the tomato-ginger gazpacho with strips of cured great pompano. Bill Esparza" - Bill Esparza

Great Place. Fast and friendly service and good food. Our ceviche needed more flavor and yuca was very salty. Lomo saltado served with french fries and white rice was very good. Food was well priced. I would recommend this place. Didn't order dessert

What a fantastic place! So good we went twice in our three days stay in Santiago. Must try the mixed ceviche and the lovely and silky dessert, suspiro limeño. Also very good is their Chicha Morada drink (if you never had it like me, go ahead, you'll love it!)

This restaurant was in a really cool building but it was too quiet for a Saturday night. The food was pretty good but it needed a more flavorful sauce. My friend loved her beef dish!

We had an excellent first night in Chile meal at Olan last night. Very attentive and helpful staff, delicious food (I highly recommend the quinoa dish with shrimp (camarones). We enjoyed a leisurely dinner, with good drinks, and some appetizers. It is very helpful to have the picture menu that they do for those who aren't fully fluent in Spanish. The restaurant is spacious and attractive and we enjoyed that is was smoke free as well. Highly recommend.

My favorite Peruvian restaurant in Providencia. A slightly pricier than average. Good quality. Good service. Visited multiple times. Plan to return.

Very good Peruvian cuisine with a comfy ambient and kind waiters and service. I've tried the Chaufa de Pollo and it was really delicious! I'd gladly come again and try the remainder or the items in their menu! Thumbs up for this great place to dine!

Yelp
Decided to try this place on my first night in Santiago partly because it was reasonably rated, but mostly because it was close to my hotel and pouring rain outside. That night, it was clear I was the only customer. There were seven or eight guys standing around waiting for something to happen and, when I walked in, began to excitedly approach me like a pack of American used car dealers. I meetly thought of my dad's childhood warning to me-never eat in an empty restaurant. I have a mind to walk back out, but looking at the pouring rain, I decided to plunge forward and take the risk that my first meal in Santiago might be my worst. Surprise upon surprises, I wasn't disappointed. In the least. I ordered a Peruvian fish platter with a delicious side of some sort of savory corn and bean cake. The food was moist, flavorful, and it was clear that these guys took pride in what they were doing. The meal was accompanied by a side of some sort of delicious cilantro tapenade which I quickly slathered all the food with, only increasing the flavor. All in all, a satisfying dinner. I didn't feel taken advantage of in the least, and my used car dealer fears were unsubstantiated. I was in and out of there relatively quickly, which was fine--I had other things to do. The price was about 10,000- US$15- not a budget meal, but not highway robbery either. I wouldn't make a special detour for this place, but if you were looking for a slightly classy Peruvian meal in the neighborhood that won't shock your wallet, Olan might just be the ticket.

Yelp
There are many locations to choose from if you want Peruvian food in Santiago. Olan is one of my favorite high end locations for Peruvian food here. Every dish that I have tried is wonderful!! I prefer seafood dishes and have never been disappointed. The ceviche is always fresh (get the corvina!!) and tasty. Chicharrón de camarones (calamari) is lightly breaded and savory. And don't miss the machas a la parmesana!! To wash down the food, a glass of pisco sour catedral is a must!!! Olan is a little more expensive than other Peruvian restaurants in Santiago, but is well worth the price. You can taste the quality and attention to every dish you order here. I have never been disappointed with every visit and always look forward to another visit when I return to Chile.

Yelp
Hands down the best Ceviche (Ceviche Especial) I had in South America. The Machas la parmesana were also very tasty. Had the Tacu Tacu con Reineta for the main course which was very good, just not as memorable as the appetizers. Prices were very reasonable especially given we had a bottle of wonderful Chilean red wine with our meal.

Yelp
Funny enough there are two Olan Peruvian restaurants within two blocks of each other. They use to be run by the same owners until they split. This Olan has the same menu as the one located on Seminario. Ceviche (raw fish), Manchas a la parmesana (oven baked clams with parmesan cheese), aji de gallina ( chicken with a spicy yellow cream salsa) and of course their famous pisco sours. Although both Olan's have an amazingly crafted menu and really good service I prefer the Condell location. It's on a very quiet residential street surrounded by small corner stores. There isn't a lot of car traffic which is what I really like about it. This contributes to the inside atmosphere which is relaxing and they have an outside patio for summer hours. They also have a large events room, ideal if you are coming for a week meeting or celebrating a birthday bash.

Yelp
Local restaurant 15 minutes walk from Bellavista, with peruvian food made up with amazing spicy salsas, raw fish called ceviche and a number of chicken and shrimp dishes. Each plate has a different passionate flavor that burst in your mouth. Amazing pisco sour, delicious and super strong. This is a good option for lunch or dinner with friends or by yourself and is less expensive than it's upscale counterpart Astrid y Gaston.
