Great atmosphere. The outdoor seating was great. They have heaters if you get cold, but you can't miss the views! The food was very good! Zucchini sticks were AMAZING! We tried lots of their sandwiches and everyone was satisfied and FULL!

I highly recommend this place. The food was delicious. I'll just say this, my kids never eat leftovers and they BOTH ate their leftovers. I tried my son's brisket and Mac sandwich, it was probably my favorite thing. The sweet potato fries are the best I've had anywhere. I can't wait to go back and try some bbq and not a chicken sandwich. The sandwich was great but I need to try the bbq.

I had high hopes for this location as the food smelled amazing and the vibe was awesome. Unfortunately it went downhill pretty fast. Service was meh, forgot our beer most of our meal, portions for the brisket was insane considering the price and mostly of the food was cold before we could even eat it as we had no silverware and had to wait for the waitress to reappear. The fountain drink selection was slim so my kids didn’t have much h choice, my pulled pork sandwich and coleslaw was amazing though and I really enjoyed my meal. The rest of my family left annoyed and wanted something else within an hour. The live music is a great concept, but even outside it was so loud that my watch kept alerting me of the level. We could barely talk while we ate. I don’t think we’d go back in the future.

I really liked the seasoning on the fries, which is the same rub as the meats. The brisket was a big hit. I love the Sriracha BBQ sauce. Sweet with a little spice. The chicken tortilla soup was loaded with chicken. Our food came out lightning fast and despite my doubts that bartender Zane was going to remember everything we ordered, everything was as requested.

This BBQ joint was good! They have 3 different bbq sauces on each table to choose from. The atmosphere was fantastic, and the view was awesome! It is located on the 2nd floor of a mall that sits ocean side. The wait staff was friendly and attentive. They have a vast menu and an even bigger drink menu. They offer a lot of beer on tap, and high end alcohol options to include bourbon, vodka, and tequila! Overall our experience was great!

Highly recommend Old Crow Smokehouse in HB. My wife and I have been here many times. We also have brought family and friends to share in the experience. We're always found this place to offer great atmosphere, food and service. I especially like the happy hour here. The craft beer offerings are excellent. All of the food is great. Especially recommend the Crow's Nest Poutine. You won't be disappointed.

This place has a beautiful view and good atmosphere. The food was Ok . I got stuffed jalapeños for an appetizer and they were burnt and small . The burnt ends had a good smoky flavor but they were very dry and most of it was fat. The tri tip and fries were good.

Great food, service and ambiance. Kiana was an excellent server. Ribs and tri tip were great.

Drinks are so good ! I tried the mini key lime pie ,only 6$ and worth it . Good vibes for Sunday afternoon. Walking distance from the beach . Brett got an amazing attitude and great customer service.:)

Charlie is the man! Came to Old Crow Smokehouse for a night out and left already planning our next visit--largely thanks to him. From the second we sat down, Charlie made us feel welcome, cracked a few jokes, and kept the energy up all night. He knew the menu inside and out, gave solid recommendations (get the brisket, trust me), and somehow managed to keep drinks full even when the place got packed. You can tell he actually cares about the experience you're having--not just taking orders. Service was fast, food was great, but Charlie really tied it all together. If you're lucky enough to get a seat at the bar , you're in for a good time. Someone give this guy a raise.

I don't understand the appeal, or how this even has above 3 stars. Much to my surprise it had been open for several years now. Service is slow and inattentive, despite not being busy. Our table went without greeting for several minutes. The hostess apparently noticed this and brought silverware and waters over. Finally our server arrived and we were ready to order. I got the brisket Mac n cheese sandwich. My brothers got the burnt ends and brisket plates from the pit. The meat was dry and required drenching in bbq sauce to get it down. The Mac n cheese was good, but spilled out of the soft hoagie with each bite. There wasn't much meat in the sandwhich, so I paid close to $20 for Mac n cheese and bread. I had some of the others plates. The cornbread was good, but the burnt ends were again dry. My water went empty twice as I required a sip with each bite, picture Clark Griswold's Christmas Vacation. I received only 1 refill. Overall it was overpriced for what you get, and the bbq wasn't that great. Well that's this critic's review, until next time, I'll be eating.

I think the concept of a home style bbq place with picnic tables and mason jars is a really cool concept but I would never come back here again. When I walked in here with my husband and child, no one acknowledged us for probably about 2 minutes while the hostess was just talking away with one of the servers. Finally someone we asked someone coming to grab something from the front if we could be sat and she replied "she'll help you" while pointing to the hostess and walking away. I also thought it was strange there was no real uniform for servers. Most people were wearing a sports shirt but the server that helped us was wearing a floral maxi dress so it was a little confusing. Service was horrible. My son ordered kids chicken and fries but he wouldn't eat it. I upgraded to burnt ends in my combo and they were so full of fat, they were completely inedible. No one came to check on us and we had to walk inside to ask for the check and it took a while for the server to come back with our check. It was just overall a bad experience.

This place was amazing! We are not from the area and we came by randomly. From the hostess to the waitress to the manager, to the food, I cannot say enough good things. The service was great and the food was amazing! We will definitely be back again!

Food was mid. The lemonade even tasted like soup water. Server she was nice tho. Wasn't a fan of the bbq.

Great place for barbecue in Huntington Beach! The restaurant has beautiful beach views from their patio, with a number of TVs inside for watching sports. The pulled pork was very good for California standards - we enjoyed the pulled pork poutine and pulled pork sliders. Service was always attentive. Definitely worth a try if you're in the mood for barbecue in OC.

Beautiful ambience near ocean front! Kiana was extremely pleasant! WE ordered the old fashioned which was amazing and the blackberry cocktail. The strawberry beet salad with side of flame grill salmon was just wow! (Do order that!) the cornbread was equally amazing! Do visit here!

Service is usually a miss here even sitting at the bar. So many places are short staffed but these servers sometimes just don't even engage or pay attention. The burnt ends are not worth it. Being from Texas these are super dry and they give you sauce for them. That was questionable but still ordered them to try them. The brisket is alright. They have some good cocktails and depending on bartender can be super strong.

Parking is validated but only 2hrs on Friday/Sat. which is silly since if you have a long wait, you will have to pay. Not a huge fan. It was empty for a Friday night but we sat at a high top. I wasn't that hungry so I ordered a side of veggies $6 and saw on the menu you could add side of meat for $6 but our server told me if i wanted sliced it would be $9. I was charged $9 but it was not sliced as you can see from the picture. Then she's like you wanted it shredded, and I'm like whatever at this point. I did not appreciate that. Brisket was good but on the fattier side. And the side of veggies was quite small. It was ok. But for the price, I would go elsewhere. I couldn't get our waitress attention since I needed more water. I just helped myself since they had water on the side bars. We would like to try the music so will be back for that.

07/2024: Back again, and yes once again it was quite enjoyable. Tried the baby backs this time and boy they did not disappoint. The meat pulls right off the bone just as desired when eating good ribs. I enjoyed the honey bbq sauce with these to give the pork a bit more sweetness. The brisket was amazing as always, pared with the traditional bbq sauce. Fries...seasoned well and crispy. The ranch was thick and creamy. Unfortunately, our cornbread was a bit dry and missing the moistness we always crave with a good piece. The butter which accompanied it was very good. Not going to remove a star for the cornbread because it was late on a Sunday and maybe it was sitting too long. Service was friendly and fast. The drinks are still spot on. Thanks OC, I will be back.

I've been around Pacific City for a little over 2 years and Old Crow is my go to watering hole. The lunch specials are affordable. Also being able to belly up to the bar and see friendly faces is awesome. I dig when Charlie is behind the bar,he is great! Quick... efficient and always down for a chat. It is like the feel of a dive bar but elevated.

Stopped on for birthday cocktails. Loud and boisterous in the bar. We had margaritas and sweet potato with blue cheese and baked beans. Very good.Lots of entertainment, live music and beautiful ocean views. Parking validated and there is a 2% surcharge. Highly recommend for a fun night out. Enjoy the patio with sea view!

this barbecue place was absolutely great. There was a wonderful view of the beach. It was right before tsunami a warning and we were talking with the manager and he was an absolutely awesome guy. Our waitress was a great girl. we got our wings and it was the wrong sauce, but they gave wings with the correct sauce . the food was absolutely amazing and not to mention the luscious mac & cheese they had on the side. the sunset was immaculate and the vibes where amazing spot on. I will continue to come!!!!

My friend reviewed this place with one star but I give this a three because I was impressed with the food - the Country Nachos is the best I had, and I love the idea of all the sauces on the table, being able to help yourself with more if you want to. The big drawback and our primary complain was the service. It was very windy that day of our visit, and the flame of our Pyramid Patio Heater did not go high enough to bring out more heat. We kept asking for assistance, kept telling the servers that all the heater needs is more propane, but they kept pushing us off. When they finally took care of it, the replacement did not work as well. Our cocktails were good but we stopped appreciating the food and drinks because of bad service. We love the ambiance of the place, too, as it has a full view of the ocean from the balcony, but again, bad service faded away the nice experience.

Unfortunately the BBQ was not good this time. I was there on a Wednesday at 5pm. The babyback ribs and the burnt ends were rock hard and dry. As though they were a few days old and reheated. Perhaps it's fresher on the weekends when they anticipate larger crowds. Also the Mac n Cheese desperately needed seasoning. I'm still giving them 3 stars because they have great egg rolls and great Kalbi appetizer.

5 stars, instead of 4, based upon their great staff and being very dog friendly, inside and out. Manager and servers were very nice and accomodating. Still decorated for Christmas and lively vibe and music. We tried a few different things. Burnt Ends - very meaty, not too fatty, and good size portion. Delish! Mini Corn Dogs - really good and the twist is they use sausage instead of hot dogs. Yummy! Sliders - tried one of each. Not as good as I would have thought and fries were a let down. Chewy, starchy and had did not eat many. They make many of their meats without spices for your four-leg friends. We ordered double meat patty's and rover loved them!

Weak. "Recommended tips" is a blatant lie. Math doesn't add up. I only came here for a special needs event. I'm never coming back. Liars.

I think I've been here a total of 3 times now, including last night! I wasn't sure if this was a country style bar and after I finally remembered the name, we looked them up and it is! Yay! I LOVE country music! I'm a country girl at heart but I live in a city! Anyway, last night was the first Friday in a while that I got to go out so my friend chose to be my DD and we drank and enjoyed the band called Franklin Wall! Such a cute couple! Loved the vibes! The bar tender was nice! There was some dancing but not that much until after 11pm. Parking is validated for 2 hrs but after midnight... it's FREE! You're welcome! Anyway, met some nice people! Too bad the kitchen was closed when we got there at 10. I would've loved some bbq! But next time! Hit me up next time y'all come out to this spot! I'd love to meet ya! Will be back!

Mediocre at best. Ribs were overcooked. Brisket was dry. Tri tip was good. Key lime pie tasted like cheesecake. Pricy for what you get. Service was good. Ambiance was a bit loud. Beautiful view of the ocean and sunset

We have eaten here a handful of times over the years and the food is hit or miss. Sometimes the ribs are delicious and sometimes they are dry. The service is the same, sometimes we get great service and they are on top of it. Other times I feel like taking drink orders and putting in food orders myself.

Today this bar had turned into a 49ers hangout. The atmosphere was electric and the energies were high. Even with so many people their service was spot on. Food was excellent and so were the drinks. The Niners won the NFC Championship so it made for a very fun evening.

Save the calories and money and go somewhere else. The barbecue was incredibly bad, ribs were dry, burnt ends were dry, sides were poorly made, appetizers sucked. Service was typical for a place like this but I didn't appreciate the 20% autograt which wasn't listed anywhere on the menu. Definitely didn't get service that matched that. Ambiance is what you expect, not bad they have live music which is nice. For a beer this place is fine, just don't eat.

never thought I'd have to write a review like this, but what happened to me at Old Crow in Huntington Beach was completely unacceptable and genuinely disturbing. During what was supposed to be a fun night out, I was verbally harassed by your bathroom attendant. Out of nowhere, he began making inappropriate and derogatory remarks toward me -- completely unprovoked. When I attempted to remove myself from the situation calmly and respectfully, he escalated even further. Shockingly, he followed me out of the restroom and challenged me to a fight outside the bar. I was stunned. This was not just some awkward encounter or poor customer service. I felt unsafe. As a paying patron, I should never have to worry about being verbally attacked or physically threatened by someone employed by the venue. This individual should not be interacting with guests -- let alone be allowed to behave in such an aggressive and threatening manner without immediate consequences. I sincerely hope Old Crow's management takes this matter seriously. If this is how your staff treats your guests, you're not just failing at hospitality -- you're enabling a hostile environment.

I got a pulled pork sandwich with Cole slaw . My friend got pulled chicken & fries . I love the pulled pork it was not dry. It was not drenched in BBQ sauce and you have the option to add BBQ sauce from your tables condiments . The brioche bread is great goes well with the pulled pork. But with the price of their menu the pulled pork sandwich should be bigger . The Cole slaw us just ordinary nothing just to go with your meal. My friend likes his Pulled chicken sandwich and it is not dry. The fries are tasty the best item on tge plate. But with their price I'm expecting a bigger sandwich . Just a regular BBQ themed restaurant.

The service was good, the ambiance was nice and very country ish, and the food was good. We got the combo platter with burnt ends and it was delicious.

This venue has phenomenal food & friendly service. I've also hosted several birthday parties / group events here and have always had a good experience. Management is accommodating & easy to work with. 10/10 recommend

Food was delicious.. service was great.. Julia our waitress was friendly and had some good recommendations! The Friday night live music was awesome.. well the main band was great, but the intermission hip hop was a miss for sure. Not a bad spot if you're in the HB area.

Food was great. Ambiance was great. Service was great. First time here with baby and wifey. We didn't know what to order. We go the tri tip sandwich, fries, and some chicken wings, and also the blackberry drink. Ok the drink was pretty light but thats ok. The fries were good. The tri tip was delicious. The bread made the sandwich. It was nice and soft and warm. The wings were pretty good too. We actually ordered another sandwich to go because we liked it. Other than that, we will come back again. Good to go!

We went on a Wednesday night, party of 3 and got seated right away, all the staff was super nice and welcoming. House cocktails were delicious and refreshing. Food was absolutely delicious and generous portions, food was just tender and moist. Loved this place and will definitely be back. Highly recommended!!

Crows "caw" but this smokehouse is caca. The worst bbq in the US. None of the food has flavor. Most of the meat had no meat it was full of ton of fat. The sides were doo doo. My wife had the chicken sandwich and it was mainly coleslaw with a tiny strip of flavorless chicken. The chilly beans were soupy that lacked a punch. I would not recommend this place. Skip skip skip.

Came here on a Saturday evening around 7. They said it would be an hour wait, but I think we waited about 40-45 minutes. We were super excited to try this place. We love bbq food! Anyway, there was 4 of us and we were seated a a very tiny bar high table. It took a while for anyone to serve us. When we finally flagged someone to take our orders, we ordered. We waited quite a while for our food. When it finally arrived we realized we had no eating utensils or bbq sauces. Again, had to flag someone down. I understand it was busy, but no attention to detail was present. The vibe of this place was cool. I guess they have a live band on the weekends. If you're able to sit next to a window or outside you can have a nice view of the ocean. The food was pretty good, however the portion size was really small for the price.

Dined on a Thursday when they have karaoke Decent bbq. Chicken was a bit dry. Random order they call people up to the stage to sing. Some people went up multiple times before others that haven't had a turn.

I feel so bad because my server (had glasses and was by a table in the 60s) was great. That being said, I ordered a full rack of baby back ribs and they were not good. Super dry, I only had 2 but I didn't want to complain. The mash potato's were horrible. None of the tables around me had any silverware so I had to wait and of course my food got a bit cold because of it. Lastly, I went to go pay in the front because we had to leave and the girl with the cheetah print tube top shirt was honestly ass. As a host you're the first and last person guests see and she was not helpful whatsoever. I asked for my check and she helped for a good 2 seconds before she started to help other people next to me coming in and asking for a validation. I felt like it was extremely dismissive. I stood directly in front of her and then about 5 minutes in I asked another host "hello? Can I get help please". She finally helped me and was kind. Thank you to her and my server.

Don't let the overall reviews deter you, improvements have been made. Great service and food! The bacon wrapped jalapeños were awesome and so was tri-tip sandwich! Our waitress was attentive and the ambiance was great!

Ordered 5 order brisket paying 200$ and was so bad taste.One order of brisket was different ( not the one i ordered) inside the vegetable was macaroni and was smelling no good.Corn bread didn't have any side batter salat had no dressing all over very disappointed Dont recommend

If you're a meat-lover, this is a great spot to feast at with great views of the beach! Service was great and the overall vibe was a chill country chic. I wasn't aware it was going to be a karaoke/live show night however, so be mindful if dining during the weekend if you're not a fan of such entertainment

The food was absolutely mediocre. Me and a friend split a 3 item BBQ plate with drinks. The Baby Back Ribs were completely dry with no bbq sauce. They were filled with bone fragments as well. It seems like they had been sitting around for a while. Wouldn't be surprised if they sent someone to the local Ralphs to buy a rack sitting on a hot plate for $5. But even that would taste better than what we were served.
