I've been wanting to go to OLG since the very first one opened, but I started hearing mixed reviews. If it wasn't for a friendly connection to this OLG location, I don't know if I ever really would have made a big effort to go.
All that being said, I'm glad I went!
My boyfriend and I ordered the lamb chops (medium rare), the shrimp & grits, 2 crab cakes, side of mac n cheese, side of collard greens, a sweet tea, and a strawberry lemonade. 3 cornbread muffins came with the orders too.
We didn't alter the menu items at all and it was SO good! We've had Marcus Bar & Grill (which we LOVE), and we compared the food to that level.
I really don't have any complaints, so to speak, but I did think the grits-- like just the grits; not the shrimp or sundried tomatoes-- was bland by itself, and I didn't like that the shell was still on the shrimp. I also wasn't a fan of the 18% gratuity already calculated into the payment, but it is what it is (Atlanta 🙄).
Other than that, very happy with the atmosphere and staff. I don't know why the restaurant has a 3.5 star rating right now, but I do think they could improve ever so slightly on making the customer experience go a little more smoothly. For example, we were seated but not given utensils until after our appetizers came. Our cornbread also came out after we pretty much finished our whole meal. Those were little things, but we weren't caught up on that stuff. Just making note.
All things considered, I would definitely recommend and go back.
