Cleanest tasting Southern food. No salty taste, just the taste of the great food. The owner is never too busy to say hello. However, I hope they can hold prices down. It's now $20, not horrible but a 50% increase since $13 a few years back. I think most people, like myself, visit occasionally, mitigating the pain by spreading it out over long periods of absence. Highly recommend!!!👍🏽

A true down south home cooking experience! Sunday buffet was absolutely amazing. I was traveling from ohio and was absolutely grateful for the amazing brunch I walked into. The hostess, waitresses, and cashier were all exceptional and very friendly. Thanks for having us in your beautiful place.

Come to old south! They treat EVERYONE like family. My family & I have been coming here for over 4 years, they’ve catered our wedding in which our out of town guests raved about how fantastic the food and staff were. The atmosphere has always been family like, you will see Charles (one of the owners) walking around talking with guest, the waitresses will never allow your cup to get empty, & Kitty at the cash register will send you on your way with a friendly smile. They have become our extended family! Tell them I sent you! 😉

Decided to go for Sunday buffet as we went there several months ago with a good outcome. This time was terrible. I expected to wait for seating but was frustrated that those arriving after us were seated ahead of us. after complaining, we were rushed to a very uncomfortable booth. the dining area was drab and dark and not very clean. Got to the buffet and was presented with a not very appetizing array of vegetables. the meats were what I would expect on the buffet, but the quality was way off. Went to the desert table and there was a foul smell there and I had to walk away. The waitress was pleasant and attentive. At a price of just under $53 including a minimal gratuity. I will not be back. This was disappointing.

It was near closing. They did put more food out for those that come in an hour prior to closing. Sunday $22.00 plus tax They also charge an additional card fee.

Went on Sunday for the buffet. The food was pretty good overall. Service was great! Very friendly and attentive staff!

Great home cookin food. Remember Sundays at grandma's that is what the food reminds us of. Everything is homemade. Even the deserts.

I'm there almost every Sunday afternoon for there chicken and dumplins, mac and cheese, fried chicken and pulled pork also the spaghetti......and yes all that is on one platter at times they also have good beef stew and rice....Don't judge me people ...lol🤣! It is worth your while and they have a good Arnold palmer too.....see you there👍

This place is a gem. I love the food. It tastes so fresh. I drive from Columbia just to eat there. The staff is very friendly. Tastes way better than Lizard's Thicket. My favorites are the fried chicken, baked chicken, lima beans, mac and cheese, green beans, sweet potato soufflé, peach cobbler, snd strawberry shortcake. I wish they were open more days of the week.

My parents live in Florence and I live in Chapin, so Camden is about halfway for both of us. I yelped to find a recommended place that we could meet and stumbled across Old South Catery. OH MAN, will we be back. There were tons of options on the buffet for all diets and tastebuds. I've been doing a fitness plan, so I ate the grilled chicken, green beans and cabbage. OK, and I tasted the fried chicken and biscuits. It was all DELICIOUS. I was mad when I got full after 1 plate, I had my eye on a number of the other items on the buffet. My husband said the fried pork chops were to die for. He had 3 plates with butter beans and rice. At $17 per person, you get the buffet, as well as drinks with unlimited refills. Just be aware that drink options are only Tea, Water and Lemonade - no soft drinks to be found here! Totally worth it and only open on Sundays, so the place was mobbed. Hope you enjoy!

Their food was amazing. Made me miss my younger years with those thin biscuits and fatback!!!! One of the best country buffets that I have ever been to! The staff did an excellent job of getting us seated and they were so friendly!!! I love the old country feel of this place!!! It was worth the 30 minute drive from Sumter to eat! They are also much cheaper than other buffets for a Sunday meal!!

I am an employee of FN America, and we had the honor of having Ols South Catery as our Thanksgiving holiday caterer. The sliced turkey, ham, and baked chicken were perfectly prepared, with expert seasoning. Mac n Cheese, rice n gravey were very good. Collard greens, sweet potato soufflé, greens beans were excellent as well. I had the apple pie for dessert, and it was legendary. Tea and lemon were awesome as well. I would definitely visit their weekly Sunday buffet. All the food was expertly seasoned. Last but not least, the catering staff members were very professional and friendly. A well deserved 5 star rating.

Biscuits are not as good as in the past. I have been a loyal customer for 20 years or more, food still good, but biscuits need to improve.

Sunday 11:00 a.m. buffet, all the old southern favorites. Charming and exquisite service - $10. - $20. And, well worth the drive from Irmo, SC.

Old South is only open on Sundays and so we came to meet my parents here for a huge late lunch. They have a large buffet with so many great choices you should leave barely able to get to the car! I highly recommend this place if possible when in Camden!

Has the best buffet probably in SC , has a great barbecue plate special on Wednesdays

Kind of over the fried chicken and greens and turkey and gravy and rice and typical Sunday brunch and other places like that.

Wednesday's BBQ take out is amazing! Best BBQ I've ever had! So glad we were able to try it on our vacation. Staff is so friendly!

Great plate of food for $9!!! I stopped in today running by when I saw a sign saying plates of barbecue for nine dollars. The barbecue was excellent as well as the small baked beans and Brunswick stew. They give you plenty of food for the money and you also get a cup of sweet tea. Definitely recommend this place.

I was invited to go to Old South Buffet by some friends who drive from Columbia to Camden to eat there every Sunday. I've eaten at just about every country restaurant and buffet in South Carolina and this is the BEST! I've been back every Sunday since. Its THAT good. The food is fantastic. The price is reasonable and the staff makes you feel like family. The only bad thing is that I can't eat there EVERYDAY! Do yourself a favor and take a drive to Camden to eat at Old South. You'll be do glad you did. Tell 'em Barbara sent you.

The best southern cuisine and largest buffett you'll find in Kershaw county. And go as far to say Columbia. There catering is very profesional, Charles or Lynne are so helpful.

Always past this place but finally stopped today. The service was great. The food is home cooking buffet and was excellent. Was a little pricey for this area but worth it. Don't forget the deli sous deserts. Will return.

Old South catered my wedding rehearsal dinner. I can't say enough good things. Charles helped me plan a custom menu of chicken cordon bleu, steak bites, marinated mushrooms, squash/zucchini, smashed potatoes and gravy, and strawberry shortcake. It was amazing! Everyone loved the food. Charles made the planning process pleasant and stress free. I would highly recommend Old South's catering and Sunday buffet.

Great buffet. A lot of different things, something for everyone. Reasonably priced, family friendly. Able to have large groups just too bad they aren't open but for Sunday's.
