A popular Danish bakery, and while my experience was mostly enjoyable, there were a few mixed moments.
I tried the Cinnamon Swirl which I had high hopes for, given the bakery's reputation. Unfortunately, it was a bit of a letdown. The swirl looked beautiful with its golden brown layers and cinnamon sugar dusting, but the texture was noticeably dry. It lacked the moist, buttery richness that I was expecting from such a pastry, which made it somewhat underwhelming.
However, what redeemed the visit was the Vanilla Cream Cheese Spandauer - an absolute must-try. This was light, flaky layers filled with smooth, rich vanilla cream cheese. The sweetness was perfectly balanced, and the creaminess paired wonderfully with the crisp pastry shell. It was indulgent without being overly sweet, and I would come back just for this alone.
The bakery itself has a warm, inviting atmosphere with a wide range of tempting pastries and sandwiches.
Entrance faces south east and it is wheelchair accessible. Clean restrooms.
In conclusion, while my experience didn’t quite hit the mark for me, I would still recommend this place for anyone seeking quality baked goods. I’ll definitely be returning to try more of their offerings!
