Where To Eat & Drink With Your Dog - New York - The Infatuation

"If you’re a human, Ollie’s should be your go-to ice cream spot in Bushwick. If you’re a dog, Ollie’s will be the second most amazing thing in your life (after your newest squeaky toy). And if you’re a human with a pet dog, your enthusiasm should lie somewhere in between. Your dog will be a fan of the “pup cup” with peanut butter and crushed dog treats, and you’ll probably like the Oreo milkshake. Whatever you order, enjoy it on a bench in Maria Hernandez Park two blocks away." - team infatuation

21 New York Spots You (and Your Dog) Will Love | Eater

"If you and your pet both have a sweet tooth, head to Bushwick’s ice cream parlor known for its pup-cups (whipped cream portioned perfectly for a four-legged friend), snacks, and seasonal ice cream flavors (many of which are vegan and dog-friendly). Where you could try your luck at winning big: Mr. Grocery Corp (250 Stanhope Street, Brooklyn, NY 11237) and Mi Pueblo Deli Mini Market (260 Stanhope Street, Brooklyn, NY 11237)." - Julia Gómez Kramer

Ollie’s Ice Cream + Stuff - Review - Bushwick - New York - The Infatuation

"If you’re a dog, you can get ice cream at Ollie’s. It’s made from peanut butter, bananas, apples, and crushed dog treats. And if you’re a human, you have options as well. Their kettle corn ice cream, for example, with swirls of salty caramel, or their rich and chunky red velvet. For ice cream in Bushwick, this should be your go-to spot. Get a few scoops, and take them over to Maria Hernandez Park. And add some Cheetos or a fluffernutter sandwich to your order if you’re especially hungry." - Bryan Kim

Google
This place was funny lots of silly jokes around super fun aesthetic. Worker was nice and ice cream was good! I got birthday cake and it had sprinkles and birthday cake pieces in it, my friend got mint chunk (mint chocolate chunk" with gummy bears and it was also super creamy and delicious

Pam Baptiste

Google
The place is very small and cluttered. There were only two vegan options — the raspberry sorbet was overly sweet. Most customers seemed to go there more to chat with the server than for the ice cream, which made the service slower and the wait longer. The prices were reasonable for the portion sizes.

Madeline Martinez

Google
Tonight I went to Ollie’s for the first time to try their vegan ice cream. I got 2 scoops of the Chocolate peanut butter brownie with vegan whip cream. The flavor was very rich and had a good amount of peanut butter throughout and small brownie chunks. Alora and Bella were friendly and super helpful! Alora answered all of my questions about the products! I can’t wait to go back and try more flavors.

Google
Large portions of pretty good ice cream with plenty of options with mix-ins and some classics (15 with 5 vegan), good prices ($8 for essentially a pint of ice cream). They allow sampling and also have a ton of other stuff like an arcade game, Rubik's cube, pins, t-shirts, cards, CBD products etc. The ambience seemed like a dim-light bar. My favorite flavors were the Brownie s'mores and the golden cookie fudge.

Zoe Specht

Google
Been coming here for some time and love the vibe in the shop. Tonight i ordered a mint milkshake and got basically milk with little flavoring. it wasn’t even the consistency of ice cream and all the chocolate chips fell to the bottom. 27 dollars for milk. untrained poor girl working said it was her first night and no one else around.

Anthony Parris

Google
We came later in evening and they only had 2 flavors! What a drag....we thought! We tried both flavors and they were so good and also vegan! Chocolate Peanut Butter and Cookie Butter. Oh what a treat! I even got sunglasses! 10/10 for Ollie's Icecream and their stuff!

Yamile Pena

Google
First time here and will definitely be coming back! The girl with the pigtails was so sweet, nice and super helpful picking a flavor… key lime pie and banana pudding were chefs kiss! yummy yummy

Google
Delicious and unique flavors, with generous portions. That cold brew cookie flavor was flavorful, but bread & roses won with our fam. Our pup loved the dog ice cream. There's some scarce seating outside, so it's not really a place to hang. Great add to the neighborhood and for dog owners.

Yelp
Definitely not one of my go to ice cream places nearby. They do not have a lot of flavors I'd like and they run out of the flavors pretty consistently The decor and candy around the store is pretty cool though but I'd rather go to one of the Mexican ice cream places, baskin Robbin's for more ice cream for the price and more flavors.

Yelp
Best freshest ice cream! So good and the space is so super cute! It's a real brooklyn small ice cream shop with a cool vibe and lots of ice cream flavors to choose from. The prices are good and I hope this hidden gem stays a secret and they can keep their prices low. The only downside is they ran out of most flavors by the end of the night, but I got the vanilla and chocolate cone and it was creamy and such good ice cream. The vibe was also really fresh and stayed crispy.

Julia S.

Yelp
They do not accept cash (which is illegal) and tack on a 4% fee for paying with credit card. The Cookie Monster ice cream was completely flavorless and the Choco Taco flavor had an unpleasant aftertaste. The chocolate ice cream was adequate. They do not have cones, only cups. I will not be back.

Yelp
Ollie's is a super fun, tiny, cute ice cream shop in Bushwick. They have interesting flavors and unexpected stuff on sale at the counter. We tried their churro-horchata flavor and it was interesting, although it tasted a little bit flat. Portion size is generous. They also have vegan flavors available too.
google avatar

Yelp
Super cute ice cream/candy shop. Tbh I didn't know it's mostly a doggy ice cream shop until after I left but I had some of their human ice cream. The brownie fudge was really good. I also sampled some other flavors. Friendly staff, normal prices.

Emily E.

Yelp
this place is too cute -- they run low on flavors by the end of the night so come early if that is something that bothers you! I tried 2 vegan flavors and I typically dislike vegan ice cream because of its weird aftertaste but the cookie butter and peanut butter chocolate flavors were sooooooo good. the ambience is so fun at night and they let you mix two flavors for a size small which i find some ice cream shops in ny don't do. service was great as well and answered all my stupid questions thank ollie!!!

Yelp
Came here for a late night snack and the ice cream sandwiches satisfied our sweet tooth. However the cookies are hard so I had to eat the cookies separately from the ice cream because picking it up was not an option. Also the cannoli ice cream didn't have much flavor. The peanut butter ice cream was definitely better.

Yelp
Four stars because they sell out of flavors often. When you do get the flavor you want, it delivers. My dream ice cream is peanut butter cookies & cream. WHICH THEY'VE HAD. And when I tell you it's top five, I mean it. Sadly they don't always have it. If they did I'd probably have to move to a new neighborhood to create some healthy boundaries between me and that ice cream. They had a peanut butter cookie monster which was blue colored peanut butter ice cream (interesting, I know), with a generous amount of cookie dough marbled through. The mint chocolate chunk is green, which we love, with a very strong mint flavor and large chunks of chocolate. Arguably the perfect mint chocolate ice cream. Also, sitting out front provides the best dog watching. Pups love Ollie's. We'd love it more if they didn't sell out constantly, but I suppose selling out is a good problem to have as a business.

Yelp
I'd rate Ollie's four and a half stars. We walked by Ollie's on our way back to our car after food hopping around the neighborhood. Looked like a fun ice cream shop so we checked it out. My wife got the brownies s'mores ice cream with the marshmallows from lucky charms. It was good so u decided to get a chocolate ice cream cookie sandwich. It was good but messy. In hindsight, I should have gotten it in a cup. Ice cream was scooped hard serve but was soft and rich. The perfect consistency in my opinion. Service was friendly and ultra quick.

Yelp
We got a milkshake and one scoop cone and paid $20 It was delicious and the store is a rly cute vibe but $20 for two people ... like that was dinner Will be back tho.

Yelp
This tiny little Bushwick ice cream shop is a sweet tooth lover's dream, with a wall dedicated to the sweets a lot of us 90s kids had growing up like Warheads, Pop tarts, and Fruit by the Foot. It's primarily a scoop shop, featuring classic and unique ice cream flavors, vegan ice cream and sorbet too. Several flavors were sold out when I recently visited, and I suspect they aren't turning ice cream over very quickly (expectedly, as it is wintertime during a pandemic) so the ice cream tasted a bit freezer burned and had tiny ice crystals in the scoop I received. Still, once I got pass the ice crystals the flavor of the ice cream was really nice and quality of the cream quite good. One thing I found a bit puzzling was that they aren't serving ice cream on cones right now "due to covid" I was told, but it wasn't clear if this was a sourcing issue or related to avoiding contamination. They still offer to turn any flavor into an ice cream sandwich so I did take them up on that. The chocolate chip cookies used in the ice cream sandwich were pre-packaged and crispy, which I don't find ideal for ice cream sandwiches, since they fall apart too easily to hold the sandwich together. I also got a scoop in a cup and preferred their ice cream this way. Sometimes when it comes to small ice cream shops like this it all comes down to the batch, and perhaps this is not the most ideal time to have visited. Since it's one of the only ice cream shops in the neighborhood though, I think it's a decent option to satisfy your sweet tooth when the mood strikes, and for me that mood strikes often.

Yelp
I got the s'mores cookie and it's so good! Very chewy and not too sweet! The place is so cute and they sell a bunch of kiddie things, super nostalgic :)

Yelp
Shout out to Bushwick Bark for posting this place on instagram or I would have never knew about it! This place is 90's childhood in a storefront, everything about this place screams good memories. I was so excited to see they served a coconut vegan icecream. It was delicious!! They have a huge assortment of dairy options I would have loved to try as the vegan icecream was just a taste of what they have to offer. The cookie sandwhich is what every one in America needs right now during this quarantine. It is g-d sent, no exaggeration. Its crunchy and, lathered in chocoalte sprinkles around the edges or any topping your little heart desires. Now on to this chocoalte chip cookie, I cant even begin. THIS IS HANDS DOWN THE BEST COOKIE IN BROOKLYN!! The nutella cookie, I would order it a hundred more times. Lets go on to say I managed to get warheads, fruit roll up, DUNKAROOS(Yes, 90's baby's they have home-made dunkaroos) and it lived up to the hype I had going in to try it. I can not say enough good things about this place. My order was ready promptly, staff was very clean as was the entire store. Pickup was very safe and the menu offers some really cool things that made me smile like a deck of cards or dog poop bags I mean this place is soemthing special and price tag doesnt even matter when it comes to nostalgia and filling a sweet tooth. Def will bring my pups next time to enjoy the doggy icecream.

Yelp
Delivery: If I could give zero stars - I would! The ONLY thing good was that the delivery was quick. No containers, all the food was thrown (not nicely wrapped) in foil! The ice cream sandwich (which was OK at best) was half melted, dripping thru the foil. The brownie shake was below average. The Oreo cheesecake had frost bite and was literally gross, took two bites and threw it away. And the frozen velvet cake was frost bitten and put in the fridge to thaw out (the verdict is still out on it).... I usually wouldn't bother even writing a review (I just would eat it again), but this place is plain BAD!!! Buyer beware...

Yelp
We got to the store at 940pm. Waited patiently outside bc we didn't want to crowd the small storefront. After 10 minutes of waiting outside, we walked in and were told she couldn't scoop any more ice cream since it was 950. Constantly sold out of the 8 flavors they have. 50/50 chance of being disappointed whenever I walk down the block to "try" to get Ollie's.
google avatar

Mike C.

Yelp
This is a new ice cream (and stuff) shop that just opened, notably serving ice cream for dogs. They also do serve ice cream for humans, which is decent. Half of the flavors were sold out unfortunately as I came pretty close to closing, so I got a triple scoop of vanilla, cold brew and bread & roses, which was the most rosy thing I ever tried, so you better really like that floral taste as it tasted very much like eating soap. This is a great addition to an area that definitely needs more ice cream, so I hope to come back again to try some of the sold out flavors.
google avatar

Liz B.

Yelp
Not too expensive as far as ice cream shops go and good ice cream! My friend loves the peanut butter and I got the vegan black raspberry chip which had dark chocolate chunks that were a little hard. Perfect for a hot day!

Edward K.

Yelp
Grabbed dessert here before a concert at a nearby venue. The woman at the counter was pleasant and service was quick. I had a two scoop portion. The cookies and cream with peanut butter was quite good but I really loved the wild blueberry! Nice spot to get a quick dessert!
google avatar

Alana B.

Yelp
Nothing is more disappointing than really wanting two scoops of ice cream as an after-dinner treat, preferably on a cone, and having most of the flavors sold out two hours before closing time. So we ended up getting Simon Sundae and Waffle Nugget from the Munchkins menu. My Waffle Nugget had literally no taste and the waffle was not toasted, but soggy. My partner's Simon Sundae had the brownie at the literal bottom with no flavor before. Being disappointed is an understatement. However, the deco was very cute, the wait wasn't long and the wait staff was very nice and apologetic about the limited choice. Therefore, I may give this ice cream shop another shot much closer to opening. The COVID restrictions are only one group in the shop.

Yelp
amazing cherry blossom ice cream but never open and runs out immediately which is a shame

Yelp
Guys- please consider not selling on Seamless. Stingy toppings stuck under the flat white plastic lid of a tiny 8 ounce paper coffee cup is not what customers are expecting when they paid $9.50 for a 2-scoop sundae with three toppings from a dedicated ice cream place. The customer did not order two 8-oz paper coffee cups of ice cream. They ordered two 2-scoop ice cream sundaes, each with three different toppings, total price $19.00 USD. It's not even like the weird packaging was due to being eco friendly or something. Proper ice cream to-go packaging is made of the same materials, but designed to accommodate the product you're selling. Also: if the customer selects "chocolate chip cookie" and you only have cinnamon raisin, call and let the customer know. Because that is not praxis, to give someone raisins instead of chocolate chips. I know you wouldn't want someone doing that to you, or your mom. COOL cool coolcoolcoolcoolcoolcoolcool so I definitely paid 30 dollars for whatever that was. You could rectify this, and I could take my review down, but I see from reading Yelp you make dog ice cream, so I'm suspicious you may be more fond of dogs than people, which is problematic under late capitalism. If I've had it wrong this whole time and you're specifically an ice-cream place only for dogs, then 1) ew I ate dog ice cream and 2) please properly identify yourself to your customers. Or again, don't sell on Seamless.

Yelp
I finally stopped by Ollie's on the way home from the dog park after passing it for months. I had forgotten my wallet, but was able to order pick up via yelp on my way there, making it super easy. Once I arrived I saw that they actually take Apple Pay, which Yelp didn't say, so if you were wondering, they do! Staff and service were super friendly. My dogs always appreciate their doggy water bowl out front in the summer heat and there are always pups and their people out front, enjoying the dog ice cream treats. I ordered two pup cups for my dogs (a sweet potato, banana, and pb mixture I believe), and a scoop of banana cookie and nitro cold brew cookie for myself. My dogs happily devoured their treats while we sat on the bench out front. Now, as someone who has long claimed banana ice cream as their favorite flavor, I was excited to see they had a banana flavor, as I don't come across it too often. The banana cookie is officially my favorite ice cream. It was creamy, had a good strong banana flavor without tasting artificial, and the cookies in it were ample and added a great pop of texture and taste. I also had the nitro cold brew cookie (unsure what type of cookies were in both, but they were great). The nitro had a strong, deep, coffee flavor, as an actual cold brew does. This one does not skimp on the coffee flavor like many other coffee ice creams I've tried. This one was also creamy and absolutely delicious. Mixed together they also complimented each other well. Check it out!

Yelp
ice cream is rly rlly good. they have candy and cookies and cake too. can also play fun games inside
google avatar

Alyssa P.

Yelp
I like Ollie's and it's a happy addition to the neighborhood...especially because they have dog friendly treats and there always seems to be cute pups hanging outside. My only issue is that as someone with a food allergy, they remove the part of the ice cream container that has the ingredients and none of the employees are sure what's in the ice cream either. It's not the employees fault, but I wish they had a better system for knowing what's in their food. Otherwise this place is super cute and I would totally go there if you have a puppy in tow.
google avatar

Coco M.

Yelp
beware this place closes earlier than 11pm (at least by 10:15 on Sat night they were closed). opening hours not indicated either on the door

Lisa L.

Yelp
I like the variety of flavors and that the ice cream isn't too sweet. Actually it might be the least sweet ice cream I've ever had. Decent ice cream if you live in the neighborhood.

Ron J.

Yelp
I would love if management found a way to actually serve their customers in a timely manner. There's literally two people working at times, and I lie to you not, it takes a solid 30 mins to get in and out. It's a line out the door most times and it's because the service is soooooo slow. As the only ice cream place in Bushwick, it would be nice to see this business figure this problem out.
google avatar

Ricky T.

Yelp
Ugh I forgot to take a picture of my delicious s'mores shake but wow one of the best s'mores shakes I've ever had. Very friendly staff with great customer service. Never have had a bad experience here. Love the quirky things for sale
google avatar

Jenn H.

Yelp
Very dog friendly which is so nice! The ice cream is pretty good...just not a lot to choose from. The vegan coconut one is tasteless...skip it. Also, the set up of the store is weird...it's a small space but the physical space has not been used properly so it leaves you a little confused when trying to order. Does anybody else really, really despise their "life sucks, ice cream helps" neon sign? We all know life is hard and I don't want to be reminded of all the bullshit when entering an ice cream spot. Obviously, it's purely for IG posts and tags. But, would I want my child to read this? Hell no. It's just sooooo tacky and leaves a bad taste in my mouth.

Krause A.

Yelp
1) They were out of more than half their flavors. 2) My gluten-free girlfriend asked if a flavor was GF. Employee said he couldn't look it up but if she just pretended it was that it'd probably taste great. 3) It's the most whatever ice cream ever. 4) There was a piece of plastic in the ice cream. Literal plastic. Wtf.
google avatar

Adele R.

Yelp
It's not often I find a place that caters to my husband (normal ice cream person), me (non-dairy ice cream person) and my dog all at once. It's super cute inside and I love the handwritten chalk boards/true small business feel. My husband loves the Bread & Roses flavor so much I don't think he's ever gotten anything else. I really liked that the doggie ice cream was harder than normal ice cream...this promotes licking rather than dogs gobbling the whole thing at once. Someone mentioned that the dog ice cream is small and while I wouldn't want my small/medium dog eating any more than their current serving size, perhaps Ollie's can make a big dog size in the future for bigger pups. Most importantly, it's reasonably priced and is made with quality ingredients that have a very positive effect on my dog's digestive system.

Scott S.

Yelp
I got the brownie sundae. Overall enjoyed it, although the fact that it was served in a cup made it hard to scoop brownie and ice cream on the same spoon. Look forward to eating their other offerings.
google avatar

Lauren D.

Yelp
Super cute dog friendly spot, but for the love of god please get air conditioning!! It's a tiny space and gets super hot inside, especially when it's busy. I really liked the raspberry lime vegan option. Can't wait til they start making ice cream and sorbet in house. My dog liked her banana peanut butter ice cream, especially when it got a little melted in the sun.

Luna A.

Yelp
Ollie's has good quality ice cream with a kind staff but lacks consistent levels of service and flavors. We visited the store within 30 mins of opening and they were already out of vanilla ice cream, which is integral to a majority of recipes :( Overall, the business is cute & has yummy sweets but their recipes are very inconsistent.
google avatar

Alex R.

Yelp
ice cream is hella fluffy and they have good stickers for a dollar in here which makes me wanna stop by even more. got the chocolate cuz its definitely a good litmus flavor for solid ice cream and i can say it passed. like i said its fluffy.. also drinkable when melted :) epic. also lots of dogs here cuz they serve dogs ice cream or something... so there's a cool dog ambiance yaaas.
google avatar

Stephanie D.

Yelp
Very cute ice cream shop - I got the peanut butter - definitely not a mistake - this place is also very dog friendly so get ready to pet some furry friends!
google avatar

John B.

Yelp
Never been thrilled with this place/ they always close early/ have the most random hours. They havnt done much to make anything better through the covid situation... would be nice to see more vegan options also
google avatar

Hali M.

Yelp
The only bad thing is when they sell out of a flavor you want. Which can happen because they're so popular and nice. Also so much fun and random stuff for sale. Glad they're in the neighborhood!
google avatar

Jennifer H.

Yelp
Went today. Midsummer day (August 1) after going for a run and potentially melting. I've been wanting to check this place out since I live in the area and with this heat ice cream is a must. I had a scoop of the vanilla with crushed Oreo cookies and my fiancé had a scoop of chocolate with Reese's peanut butter cups. Together it was about $9 which is super affordable for delicious home made ice cream. IT WAS SO SATISFYING. It's a cute little air conditioned shop with really cute cards for sale. We sat outside on the bench and enjoyed our ice cream (I inhaled mine). It was a perfect end to the day.
google avatar

Emma L.

Yelp
Stopped by today (during a major heat wave) and it really hit the spot! I tried the Chocolate and the Bread & Roses. Both were great. The inside has a cool artsy vibe and there's room for 6-7 to sit inside and another ~6 right outside. Bushwick needed a spot like this!
google avatar

Samantha R.

Yelp
Great ice cream. Shady with the scoops & card only - which denys a bunch of people to not experience the shady scoops...
google avatar

Melissa W.

Yelp
A great little ice cream spot with some inventive flavors. Perfect for that hot summer evening. Try the bread and roses...just trust me.
google avatar

Emily B.

Yelp
Yum yum yum! Loved the bread and roses ice cream! I had never heard of it before, and it's amazing! Try it!
google avatar

Gabby M.

Yelp
I actually came to this place strictly for my dog. Ironically, he didn't eat the ice cream because he thought we were tricking him. (I tried the dog ice cream and it was pretty good). My brother is allergic to dairy so he got the raspberry lime sorbet which was smooth and super bright and yummy. I had the nitro ice cream which I loved! Super cute little spot!
google avatar

Samantha B.

Yelp
First time here! Waited on line w my friend from out of town and our two dogs - just to have two people cut in front of me. He was sitting on the bench and saw the whole thing. I was annoyed but didn't wanna say anything because I just wanted to treat our dogs to ice-cream. It was like 90% whipped cream and what seemed like just a frozen peanut butter cube on the bottom. It fell short on the "first impression" after hearing all the hype it got once it opened.
google avatar

Sam B.

Yelp
This is your dogs favorite foodstuff purveyor. Yes, the social media centric vibe in here might be too much for your sneering friend. That's fine. The service was a bit slow. That's fine too. The ice cream was good and the decor was cute and I normally hate cute. Good job!

Juan D.

Yelp
Got a chocolate peanut shake. Friendly staff, ehhh shakes. Rate that a shake a 5-6. Probably won't return. Didn't have the ice cream straight up so not sure.
google avatar

David S.

Yelp
Cute little ice cream shop, employee was extremely inviting & friendly. Ice cream was delicious - I will return.
google avatar

Susan V.

Yelp
It's a but pricey I got 2 scoops for me and 2 scoops for my brother both in cups and it was 16$ but it was good quality ice cream and had a good selection of flavors so it was worth it considering there's not other ice cream shops in the area
