"The brunch menu at Ollo is short, but manages to run the gamut from “I just came back from Canyon Ranch and only eat fruits” to “Give me all of the butter.” Which basically sums up Malibu. We tend to just split the difference and get the chilaquiles. Pico De Gallo counts as a vegetable." - jess basser sanders
"COVID-19 Update: Open for takeout and delivery.
The chefs here cook with ingredients from local farms (One Gun Ranch, for one), resulting in a menu that covers all the bases (expertly prepped proteins, veggie-driven plates, and more). The space is open with natural light flooding in from every direction—trees covered in string lights rise directly out of the floor in the middle of the indoor dining area, and there's a lush outdoor patio surrounded by vines and greenery. Make sure to order a pizza.

I ate at Ollo for a formal dinner hosted by my alma mater. They served family style for our needs and handled a group of 14 beautifully. The courses kept coming out and every one of them was spot on for delicious cuisine. Their dishes are authentic, Italian dining. And their service is also reminiscent of my experience in Rome.

Service: Excellent. Our server, Marcos, did a fantastic job and was super friendly. Claudio and the other managers also stopped by multiple times to check on us. Our food came in no time.
Ambiance: Loved it. Like ved the energy at this place. Loved the large, colorful paintings and perfect amount of light.
Food: Bread was on the house. It was warm, toasty and had very nice rosemary seasoning. We mainly ate vegetarian food because my husband is vegetarian. We loved the beet salad, lentil soup and roasted cauliflower. Brussels sprouts could use more seasoning.
I’ll definitely recommend this place. They have good vegetarian options.

Overall, the food was good. The kids pizza was underwhelming, and the caesar salad was a small portion for the price. The grilled salmon bowl, chicken bowl, and Malibu chopped bowl were all delicious. The service was great, our waiter was responsive and helpful. The patio was nice, however I don’t recommend sitting in the corner right table because the bougainvillea is completely overrun with bugs, which we realized when a leaf fell into one of our salads. When we informed our waiter, he brought us a new salad. Hopefully, they will treat the bougainvillea because it is beautiful in the space.

There we’re 6 of us that decided to come here after a hike. There was little to no wait and plenty of parking while other places in the area had hour+ wait times and limited/paid parking. This place does not have an ocean view but has a wide selection of delicious food choices. Our only issue was that we ordered a few burgers rare- medium rare and they all came out medium well - well done. To their credit, the manager came over and offered us several options for remedy the situation. Other than that it was a great environment with a full bar and wide menu. I would give it another try.

If you are in Malibu you have to go to Ollo. It’s in large shopping center so parking is easy. It’s casual, friendly, and very welcoming atmosphere. There are so many good choices. The breakfast tacos with chorizo are my favorite. I’ve never had a bad meal. The service is outstanding. Servers are very helpful and accommodating. They go above and beyond to make sure you enjoy your meal. We need to support local businesses like Ollo.

We stopped in for our first time this past Saturday for brunch and both had a great experience. Located in beautiful Malibu right off the PCH this shopping center always has a ton of free parking, which was really convenient given how most other restaurants in LA don’t have as many free and available spaces. Service was fast and friendly and we were able to be seated right when we arrived for a 10:30 brunch. They have indoor and outdoor tables but most people choose to sit indoor, which was our choice as well.
They have a very large menu filled with all sorts of great options. Eggs Benedict is my favorite breakfast dish so when I read all the positive reviews of their Crab Cake Benedict I knew I had to try it. I can confirm it was very good. The eggs were perfectly runny, and the crab cake itself had great flavors. We also ordered the Huevos Rancheros which came in a huge sized portion surrounded by one large tostada shell curved on the edges. That was a really nice touch because we used the shell to soak up the rest of the juices/food.
Overall a solid breakfast option in Malibu. It was not as cheap as local diners but still not overly expensive, especially given the location.
