Olympia Gyro

Besides being in the busiest place on a Philadelphia Downtown weekend, Olympia Gyro is going to give you solid Americanized Greek Food at a reasonable price. When I went with my partner, we were not allowed in the extra seating area, but that may be for busier times when staffing was a bit higher. Overall, I have nothing to complain about the food! When you eat inside the Reading Terminal Market, you are doing it to be amongst all the peoples. No thumbs up for any sustainable business practices, but if you want some decent Mediterranean food, this is a solid choice.

Great eatery inside the Reading Terminal market with lots of yummy Greek / middle eastern dishes. There are only 10-15 spots at the counter, but otherwise just get your food to go. The service is friendly and quick and everything is cooked right under your nose. Good value place. The lamb souvlaki platter can be recommended.

No complaints here! It’s a great if through the business at the Reading Terminal you can find a seat at the counter to enjoy your food. And I did. I got the salmon gyro combo. It was hot and fresh, salmon was cooked perfectly.

Gyro plate was fresh and delicious. Salad was crisp and the dressing was delicious! Surprised it didn't come with rice but that was fine because I was going to try rice at another place in the market. Ordered dolmas (stuffed grape leaves) and I was not a fan. They had almost an alcoholic flavor to them and the filling has little texture. Service was friendly and fast, and the counter/kitchen appeared very clean.

The food was very tasty and service was good. We ordered the gyro and a chicken Souvalki salad to go. The service was fast and communication was good. However, they don’t provide enough sauce or dressing for the salad and charge for additional condiments. Overall, the food was fine but they need to provide enough sauce for the original order, rather than trying to charge extra despite not providing enough to begin with. Beyond the lack of sauce, I would return to this location.

This is a must try Greek place at Reading Market! They have the best chicken gyro sandwich with tzatziki sauce. The guy in charge was so welcoming and professional. The line was kinda long but he managed to efficiently take orders and we didn’t face a long wait. The chicken gyro was so juicy and delicious!!! See pictures. It was around $11. I highly recommend giving it a try whenever you’re in Philly!

Delicious (and generously portioned) Gyros and French fries 😋 Tasty baklava (must try once; probably wouldn't purchase again). Service was super fast given the line, and the folks there are very friendly. highly recommend ☺
