Boutique coffee chain across SouthEast Asia, light wood interior details, & Japanese-style design.
"Omotesando Koffee started out as a one-man boutique coffee shop but they now have locations in Singapore, Kyoto, across South East Asia, and importantly, in Fitzrovia. The spot is decked out in contemporary Japanese pine architecture, and grabbing a coffee here feels both relaxing and achingly cool. They have an extensive selection of single origin beans, cold brew options, plenty of matcha on the menu, and their iced cappuccino with bubble milk foam is one of London’s best iced coffees. "Probably the best option for some restorative caffeine in the area alongside Kaffeine (detailed below) this minimalist outpost from Japan proffers expertly made filter coffee; silky milk drinks; and for those wanting to match cold with cold, perhaps the best iced coffee in the city." - James Hansen
"Speciality coffee — that is, drinks made with quality beans, precision, and if desired, milk textured into supple creaminess — is not hard to find in London. Speciality coffee — that is, quality drinks presented, explained, and served in a way that befits those drinks representing something culturally distinct — remains genuinely rare. Omotesando, arrived from Japan, eschews the airspace aesthetic, offers a service model designed for engagement over efficiency, and marries exacting preparation with the resonances of Italian and Japanese espresso cultures." - James Hansen

"Order: Iced Cappuccino Decked out in contemporary Japanese pine furniture, this tiny Fitzrovia coffee spot is both relaxing and achingly cool, just like its iced cappuccino. Unlike a lot of iced coffee in London, the drink is served perfectly chilled so the baristas here don’t have to fill up your cup with ice, which often leads to a sub-standard watered-down brew. There are also cold brew options, plenty of matcha on the menu, and single origin beans. But the one thing you absolutely should know when you head here is that you’re going to want to get involved in the kashi, a stupidly tasty custard-based snack." - rianne shlebak, oliver feldman
