A breakfast-and-lunch tradition since 1995, this scratch kitchen leans into New Mexican comfort—think green-chile hollandaise, migas, and house breads—served on a sunny patio. Recognized in travel guides and loved by locals for hearty, from-scratch plates.

This Mexican breakfast spot was fantastic! The food was fresh and flavorful, with authentic dishes that really hit the spot. The service was friendly and fast, making the whole experience enjoyable from start to finish. Definitely a great place to start your day!

Google
Got recommended this place from the dealership next door and what a great call that was. I loved this place. I ordered the brisket enchiladas with the hatch sauce and the blue tortillas. The sauce was excellent, I asked for the spicy one, but it was just a warm heat, nothing too wild and the tortillas were a little tougher than expected, but that wasn't an issue. I really enjoyed this meal and would come back again.

Friendly service. Good honest scratch made food. Can be super busy on weekends! Highly recommend the Huevos Ranchero

I got the eggs Benedict green with bacon with corn tortilla instead of English muffins and it was phenomenal. I will definitely reorder this the next time I come. The cinnamon pecan coffee was fantastic and the hollandaise sauce perfectly seasoned. I loved it!!!!!

Our first time at the Shed. We had breakfast, it was great. The service was also excellent. I can't say enough good things, great in every way. We will definitely stop for a meal whenever we are in Las Cruces!

My family and I are traveling and and decided to try something new. The restaurant is clean staff is friendly. It is aesthetically appealing we all had a variety of dishes. I have to Feta spinach quiche and it was really good and moist it was rather delicious. My mother had the red chili con carne with eggs she also loved it. Mr sister had the coconut French toast and it was also enjoyable. Had a child size pancake that is shaped like a bear 🐻 face. Looking forward to coming here again.

The atmosphere is a perfect mix of modern and authentic. Special thanks to the very kind staff who let me try all the cheese sauces so I wouldn’t have any doubts about my choice. I haven’t even tried my Benedict yet, but I’m already sure it’s amazing because the sauce is divine. Thank you so much :) I’ll definitely stop by again when I’m passing through on the I-10.

Yelp
We stopped in for lunch at The Shed in Las Cruces, and y'all... I'm still dreaming about those calabasitas enchiladas. Tender brisket over blue corn tortillas, smothered in rich green chile and paired with the sweetness of summer squash and corn--it was like the whole Southwest got together to sing me a love song on a plate. The flavors were deep and soulful, the kind that make you sit back in your chair and close your eyes for a minute. You can tell this kitchen cooks with heart. The atmosphere was relaxed, the service friendly without being fussy, and the portions just right--generous without tipping over into "I need a nap" territory. If you're anywhere near Las Cruces and craving something special, get yourself to The Shed. And if the calabacitas enchiladas are on the menu, don't think--just order them.

Yelp
One of Las Cruces best breakfast joints! Only complaint is they are often closed and that makes customers forget about considering them when looking for an idea where to eat , decor isn't really good or bad. The staff is friendly and would highly recommend a visit, but double check their hours of operation.

Yelp
Great breakfast and lunch spot! The pecan cinnamon coffee was Felipe's as was the huevos rancheros. You can order the sauce mild or hot. They have homemade bread which was delicious too. My partner ordered New Mexico pasta which was tasty too (even at 9 am lol ). Great place to add to your travels!
google avatar

Sammy G.

Yelp
Wonderful service and food here!! Our server answered so many of my questions about what he recommended on the menu!! I wish I was in New Mexico more so I could have it again!! The vibe is very cute and gives old mexican restaurant with a fun new twist! The pancake was unlike anything I'd eaten before. It was almost like a pastry. Crunchy on the outside and melt-in-your-mouth moist on the inside. The pasta is two words: SLEPT ON!!! If you have never had green chile in your fettuccini, you have not lived ahah!

Yelp
It gets busy here, so bring your patience. There is room for waiting, so just hang out. Service was little slow as expected due to their popularity. We had their Migas breakfast, which was huge and tasty. Their old classic breakfast is perfect if you are not in the mood for anything fancy. Their pancakes were humongous! It was on the thicker side so little on the doughy side, but still yummy. Someone recommended their quiche, so will return to try it next time. The Shed was our favorite breakfast place in the area. Highly recommend!!

Yelp
Food was good but service severely lacking. No silverware until after our food arrived. Sat without coffee for too long and when refilled it was cold. Ordered an extra soup after our food came and that item never got out to me so I had to cancel as we were done eating and pretty sure server just forgot. No pre-bussing so we sat with dirty dishes till the end. Was excited to try but definitely a let down in service.

Yelp
This place is amazing and so cute inside. Service was great, the drinks were great, the food was heaven. Probably one of the best Eggs Benedict I have ever had. The hollandaise was so good. The English muffin was a perfect size and nice and toasty. My friend ordered the Cranberry Walnut toast and that is sooo good and made in house. We definitely wanted to buy a loaf but it was sold out but understand why! Can't wait to come back! Thank you!!

Yelp
Looked around Las Cruces for a good brunch spot and The Shed delivered! Unsurprisingly it came well recommended and the busyness reflected that. Very fun menu incorporating Mexican flavors/food in your classic American breakfast. Service was exceptionally friendly. I went for the Bacon Eggs Benedict with Green Chile Hollandaise. Might sounds weird but it works. Also had to sub toast for beans because beans with breakfast is great.

Yelp
It's nice to find healthier breakfast options, especially locally. The food is tasty and the service is friendly.

Yelp
The food was amazing. The staff was even better. (Not to eat, duh!) Found this place on a drive between Houston and Phoenix. The hatch chilli egg Benedict dish made me want to move to Las Cruces. Don't pass this up. Get off the freeway and enjoy breakfast or lunch. Patricia was a great hostess.

Yelp
This place rocks! Our server Kathy was a sweetheart and gave us the exact amount of time and attention we needed! Food didn't take too long to come out either. Parking Lot was packed but for good reason. There are about 20-30 stalls available. Food was phenomenal. Highly recommend their enchiladas which can be stuffed with brisket. You get to choose red or green chili (team green chili all day!!!) I also opted for diced potatoes (basically like a square steak fry) and beans on the side. Very enjoyable. I believe they used a black bean tortilla too since it was the color purple. Gingerbread pancake was enormous so you only need 1. It was very enjoyable too; basically a gingerbread cookie in a soft cake form. I will definitely order those 2 items again. Fair price too! Ambiance was good. Outdoor seating was comfortable. Indoor is tight but comfortable. Can't wait to return back here!

Yelp
This is a classic staple in las cruces, love their blue corn tortilla enchiladas, the prices are fair and the service is friendly and fast. It can get busy at times so make sure to plan accordingly! Also the ambiance is cute classic NM decor and vibe inside.

Luz G.

Yelp
We came to The Shed with a big group--14 of us, kids and all--and they seated us with no problem. The vibe was cozy, colorful, and full of that laid-back New Mexico charm. I had the breakfast enchiladas with brisket (yes, brisket for breakfast!) and went Christmas style--both red and green chile. The flavor was incredible and tasted just like home. If you know, you know. - 10/10 recommend! The kids loved their French toast, and our waitress was so kind and patient, making sure we had everything we needed. Great food, great service, great atmosphere--we'll definitely be back!

Yelp
Arguably the best breakfast in Las Cruces. Wide selection, perfectly prepared. The service is stellar. Our go to. And don't sleep on the baked goods. I just had a German chocolate brownie that was beyond perfect.

Yelp
After church, we decided breakfast should happen before errands. My mom said she wanted to go to the Shed, so off we went. Delicious choice! We only had about 5 minutes to wait before being seated, and arriving around noon we figured we'd have a longer wait. So many yummy choices. My dad went with the eggsadilla and fruit. Mom got the spinach and feta quiche and fruit, and I decided to try something new and got the French toast made with homemade cranberry pecan bread. That was a perfect meal. So tasty! I also asked for a side of crispy bacon, and they did it perfectly. Not burned, just crisp and crunchy! I'm a fan, and can't wait to try more of their menu options!

Yelp
I Love this place; the staff is Always so friendly and welcoming. Their food is unique and full of flavor. I Really enjoyed the crab cake Eggs Benedict with green chile hollandaise

Yelp
Last day of our Hatch/Las Cruces trip and couldn't leave without one last stop for breakfast. The Shed upon arrival had quite a long line, but thankfully it went quickly. Unlike our heated mornings in Tucson, the high 80s were very pleasant. Our waitress was very friendly and personable and she put up with all our quirky personalities in our party of 5. I ordered the quiche which was cooked to perfection. It was tasty, moist and HUGE!!! Our group ordered the Migas and the Old Mesilla Bkfst, They offered homemade bread and 2 of us opted for cinnamon raisin, while others had regular toast and tortillas. Everything was hot, tasty and with a smile. See y'all next year!

Monique A.

Yelp
Great food, friendly service and a cozy atmosphere. Everything my friends and I ordered was delicious especially the green enchiladas (brisket). Oh the mimosas, you could never go wrong with the mimosas! Definitely coming back (:

Yelp
Great brunch spot! Nice selection of sweet and savory options. Excellent chicken fried steak with chorizo gravy.

Yelp
*********** I dunno. I didn't want to like it, from the photos, but my wife suggested a visit... so I acquiesced. Looked at the menu. Nice selection sure, but pricey. But OMG! !!!!!! Each entrée could serve two guests.. Food was terrific, service from Francisco was OFF THE CHARTS professional, timely, and pleasant. Yeah, I should have visited before. What a nice experience this visit on a 107 degree Friday.
google avatar

Yelp
Parking lot is a bit tight. Super nice welcome from the host. Seated quickly even though they were pretty busy. Our waitress shared that she was new and she was excellent the entire way through. Red Chile had a bit of a sweet taste to it... good, just a little different than what I'm used to. I recommend!
google avatar

Connie T.

Yelp
Great food and service. I love this place. The Migas is outstanding. It's very unique and spicy!

Debbie V.

Yelp
As busy as the Servers are, they are attentive, the food is great, the prices are fair, and my favorite are the eggsadillas so delicious!

Elena H.

Yelp
I always go to the shed the rancheros are so good I like em hot but they are geting ver tight with everything they only put one corn tortilla should come with at least two of them. Then they don't let you take drinks in because they want you to buy there drinks one day I will definitely stop going and the prices are just going up and up

Yelp
The Shed knows breakfast!! There is zero disappointment in anything ordered at The Shed... Whether the colorful & eclectic decor is your thing, it doesn't matter, as their tasty food is ALL the focus.. Their green chili eggs Benedict is worthy of plate licking and their coconut french toast should be patented... If pancakes are your thing, likely you've not often seen the enormous size flapjacks served here... Bottom line, if you enjoy a good breakfast, you'll LOVE The Shed... Pro-Tip: A MUST stop eatery Provecho!!!
google avatar

Matthew C.

Yelp
The service by Katianna - Incredible! Not only did she give me great food recommendations, she conversated and even got me a coffee to go for my long drive back to ABQ. The Food - Incredible! I got the Enchiladas with an egg on top. Christmas Tree'd with beans - What incredible flavors! Very impressed and I can not wait to go back! The coffee - Next Level! Cinnamon & Pecan Thank you for the great dining experience!

Yelp
We loved the Shed. It was our go to place for breakfast until my husband broke a tooth on a piece of bone. We do not fault the place for the bone but the reaction from the manager? A couple of free meals. For a broken tooth? He needed a full crown, $1800! He never heard back from the manager once he gave the contact of the food service company. They took care of it but the manager did nothing to help. He never returned calls and is never available. No more Shed.
google avatar

Yelp
Recently moved back to Las Cruces, kitchen full of boxes needing unpacking. My son found The Shed and we got breakfast. My son and I had Heuvos Rancheros and my wife had French Toast. All good.
google avatar

Jennifer K.

Yelp
Hands down the best breakfast place in town. I usually get the traditional breakfast with beans AND potatoes. They have the best bread, made in house. Cranberry is my personal favorite! Plus great service!
google avatar

Charlie A.

Yelp
Do yourself a favor and eat here. I get the vaquero special which is a chicken fried steak with chile and cheese. I personally get green with an egg beans and potatoes with the green Chile cheddar bread. The staff is super friendly considering it's always busy and I love to sit out on the patio and enjoy the vibe. Is this the best all around restaurant in town? I think so.

Kay P.

Yelp
So great to come back to OMPC The Shed! Had to have the Spinach Feta Quiche and fruit salad. This meal did not disappoint and the service was wonderful as always. My friend had the Crab cake Eggs Benedict with Christmas Hollandaise. What a mea! Of course we can't wait to come back.
google avatar

Darlene M.

Yelp
We hadn't been here in a number of years. We were really disappointed the quality of food was not the same. Coffee was weak vs very flavorful before. Oatmeal was instant instead of homemade and portion less. The prices are higher. We are sad to see this change. The place was extremely busy, which is unexplainable The staff was very friendly and attentive.
google avatar

Jason F.

Yelp
Customer service is second to none. This place has a popular local following, and the love in the kitchen comes out in the quality of the food that hits your table.

Crystal G.

Yelp
Horrible Customer Service Experience Upon entering the restaurant with my family of five the hostess offered us a table of four, so we asked for a table in the back another family just left from. She kindly said yes and began cleaning it when another employee informed us we cannot sit there. We decided to leave, and her response was simply an apathetic "Bye". Never have I felt less appreciated as a customer.

Yelp
Every visit is filled with exquisite flavors excellent service!!! A must visit whether u are visiting or if u are a local!!!!

Yelp
Just ok, not impressed with food or service. Disappointing and wish we had more places of quality in Las Cruces

Yelp
I want to start off by complementing a few of the wait staff who were so kind and apologetic. This was my 2nd visit to the Shed. My first experience was pretty good, so we decided to return today. We travel a lot for work and we are doing business and visiting with family, in town from California. We have our fav restaurants in town. I suffer from Crohn's disease and have a dairy allergy, which I am forced to bring a small lunchbox with me with non-dairy items like plant based butter, dairy free salad dressing and plant based milk. In the 5 years since being diagnosed with Crohn's, I have never been treated so rudely by a restaurant. I take my lunchbox everywhere, especially when I go to breakfast. Most restaurants cook with butter so I normally order dry toast or eggs cooked in oil, things like that. This was my experience today - We headed to The Shed and was told there was a 15 minute wait, but as soon as I got to the truck to grab my husband, the hostess called us in. Awesome! As I walked in with my lunchbox in one hand and my dairy free Starbucks drink in the other, I was stopped and was told that I could not bring outside food into the restaurant. Ok, I get it. I asked my husband to take my drink out to the truck. Then, one of the managers barked from across the restaurant that I could not bring my non dairy items either and asked what was inside my lunchbox. She did not come over and ask me nicely, she literally yelled across the crowded restaurant. The young man seating us was very sweet and apologetic. He sat me and my husband walked in. I literally sat there for a minute, stunned. Let me remind you that this is not my first time at The Shed. I have been here before, with my lunchbox, and the server was so accommodating and sweet. Wtf happened? After we thought about it for a minute, my husband said, let's go to Chala's and we were out of there. We tipped that sweet young man, and called it a day! Honestly, I understand that they have their rules, but the way it was handled is why I will never return. 1 star each for the hostess, and the 2 servers.

Yelp
I'm back and love the huevos rancheros with mild green chilies, especially with the green chili cheddar toast!! Plenty of coffee, good pleasant service, delicious breakfast! Thank you.

David G.

Yelp
Came to The Shed today based on a recommendation from someone that used to live in Las Cruces. We were rewarded by having an excellent breakfast. My wife had the huevos rancheros with green chile and I had the red chile con carne with eggs. We both got the green chile cheese toast with our meals.. very good! My wife also had the Cinnamon Pecan coffee, which she raved about. We highly recommend this restaurant. There was about a 20 minute wait around 10am on Friday, but it was certainly worth it.
google avatar

Yelp
We arrived to The shed pretty early on a Saturday morning. Very packed for how early it was. Very minimal parking so car pool if you can. The inside was a small and quaint vibe. We ordered the breakfast burrito and quesadillas. They were fire First time trying the green chile sauce definitely a huge fan. On Saturday they run a 3.50 mimosas special so if it's your first time (like us) I would highly recommend trying them out (Favorite one pomegranate). And they have a nice alc/juice balance. Overall the food and drink were pretty good and the service was nice. Only con would be that we weren't told the specials--we overheard one of the waitresses saying they had red velvet pancakes as a special, and that would've changed our whole order had we known. Still a great spot! Looking forward to trying a lunch option next time.

S H.

Yelp
OMG - The Quiche!!! On a busy Sunday morning at brunch hour. we were seated quickly and were attended by a fabulous server. Silvia. who brought drinks and took our order. All perfect. My wife had a spinach and artichoke sandwich which she enjoyed very much. My spinach and feta quiche was so amazing. Light and perfectly seasoned. Gigantic serving with an equally gigantic fruit salad. With no exaggeration it was the best quiche I've had in my 50 years as a road warrior. Also important for us was no random spiciness (all too common in NM).

Yelp
We've been visiting family in Las Cruces for years and it was during our most recent stay that we discovered The Shed...In town for three days...At The Shed all three days as well! From the start...You can tell this is a beloved Breakfast and Lunch spot (be prepared to wait on the weekends!). This place gets everything right...The colorful decor...The happy and high energy crew...The beautifully curated menu...AND the BEST food in Las Cruces. Over three meals...We enjoyed the Quiche and Soup, Breakfast Burrito, Brisket Enchiladas, Salmon Salad and Huevos Rancheros. The Cinnamon Pecan Coffee is not to be missed. Ask for Kathy and you'll be in good hands...She totally encapsulates the spirit of The Shed. Highly recommended!

Yelp
Wonderful food, service, and ambiance! Visiting NM from Florida for the last week. Have had brisket enchiladas with red chile from Santa Fe, Rio Rancho Albuquerque, and Las Cruces. These were the best I've tasted, as well as the beans! The homemade bread was scrumptious as well! Wonderful little place, going back again this morning before we fly home. This foodie highly recommends!
google avatar

Georgette W.

Yelp
EXCELLENT!!! I had the brisket blue corn enchiladas with egg. This dish was loaded with mild green chilies...delicious!!!!
google avatar

Kris L.

Yelp
We were really hungry and the Shed fit the bill for brunch, however the food was nothing special. My husband's avocado toast was lukewarm and two of the poached eggs were over cooked. I got the shed stack with a corn tortilla substituted for the bread to make it gluten free. The basil was a nice touch under the avocado and scrambled eggs though would have been better on top instead of wilted under the eggs. It also was not very warm. The ranch beans were fresh and healthy but needed some spice so I asked for a side of salsa. The potatoes were cooked well but they were likely frozen, not fresh cut and also needed some spice. I suggest ordering this dish with red or green sauce as an extra charge to spice it up.

Yelp
Our server forgot to turn in our order. It took about an hour to finally get our order. When we asked to see the manger, she tried to tell us that we had only been waiting for 29 minutes! When we told her that the server told us that she forgot to turn the order in, she said "oh, okay" left and never came back. The manager never acknowledged their mistake or tried to make it right. They comped us a loaf of bread, that I didn't order. They didn't even offer a discount for such terrible service. I won't be back. I don't recommend this place.

Netta B.

Yelp
Food was really great, our server was knowledgeable and offered great suggestions and the specialty margaritas were out of this world. Loved the vegetarian posole and the vegan flexibility. We loved it so much we came back the next day.

Eleazar M.

Yelp
High quality food! Great service and ambience! We recently moved from Las Vegas, NV and it compares to some of the great restaurants in LV!
