"Chef Michael Mina’s Del Mar restaurant is open for indoor and outdoor dining at last report but if you’re not prepared to eat anywhere except home, the restaurant’s to-go brunch, lunch and dinner options are worth ordering. One standout is the family feasts dinner available for two people or up to eight, and includes your choice of barbecue classics, East-meets-West cuisine, plant-based dishes or restaurant favorites." - Darlene Horn

A Cozy and Elegant Retreat One Paseo Plaza is a charming and cozy spot in town, offering a fantastic environment that blends elegance with relaxation. The design is eye-catching, with its white walls, red brick accents, and thoughtfully placed art murals that add a unique touch to the overall aesthetic. The plaza is filled with green spaces, and there are designated dog relief areas, making it a perfect place for walking your dog while enjoying the surroundings. Plenty of seating is available around the greenery, offering a comfortable space to sit and take in the atmosphere. The shops in the plaza are high-end, catering to those looking for upscale shopping in a relaxed, beautifully designed setting. The parking structure is spacious with plenty of spots, and the view from the top of the 3rd floor adds a nice bonus to your visit. Whether you're here for a quick shopping trip, a bite to eat, or simply to enjoy the scenery with your dog, One Paseo Plaza provides the ideal setting for casual and upscale leisure.

High-end. Fun shoppes, family-awesome, stellar food options & endless hidden gems to discover ✨ Free parking. Restrooms available for shoppers. Play area for the kiddos. Diverse selection of food picks (fast-casual & sit-down). ‘Expected’ Del Mar posh mixed with some familiar favourites and specialty boutiques perfect for locals and out-of-town visitors alike.

Google
Gorgeous venue of mixed use style. There are designer shops and mid to fast food eateries covered parking. Some parking was free I saw other garages that charged. I don’t know the rates. There was a dog relief area, and there were plenty of dogs with owners walking around enjoying the venue. Very crowded on a Saturday as expected.

1st time here with kids to play and entertain them and they all had fun with this gigantic wood tree log. Lots of good restaurants/ food places and delicious home made ice cream we tried that day

I easily found a second floor space in the free parking garage midweek lunchtime and started my walkabout. Shops, restaurants, luxury apartments, beautiful people, fancy dogs, it's all good-good to maybe great.

Nice Plaza. Have enough options to shop for. Parkings always busy but a lot of space. They have park for kids to play. Place to sit when you're tired. Fish pond that my kid love!

As much as I hate to leave bad reviews, this one is more of a public safety announcement (PSA) to avoid the perfect storm I experienced. There are special family memories tied to this spot from past group events so I'll spare my friends and family and revisit on my own to validate the service degradation. Lunch service on 9/19/2024, bar top: Drink arrived promptly but food was a 27m delivery. I let the bar staff know I had to run and I didn't have time to enjoy lunch. They had to call the manager which involved two personnel who offered to box up my lunch. Sad day for me to pull this neighborhood establishment off my consistent list. Loved you long time One Paseo (North Italia) :(

One Paseo is a gorgeous, luxurious mall with many beautiful, top chains. It is breezy and beautiful, lots of seating areas, lots of patios, many restaurants, all the high-end chains, clothing stores, food stores and places to drink along with eat. It's a gorgeous world class small outdoor mall. Highly recommended!

Yelp
Great shopping center with good food options from quality coffee and ice cream to fast casual lunches and dining with cloth napkins. I especially like Postino and north Italia. They have some great murals that make good photo backgrounds and also a seasonally decorated truck. They just installed the fall pumpkins (attaching a photo). The same studabaker had Christmas decor last winter.

Yelp
Amazing area and food/drinks. Service is great!!! Been here a few times and no complaints. I highly recommend.

Yelp
It's nearly impossible to get a drink and go sit by the fire. We did that but getting the drink was a whole ordeal and took like 45 min and so when we went to go get another i just sat there at the bar outside waiting and waiting for someone to come by then a few times i was told they would be back.. it was terrible so half an hour later i had to go hunt down a server and ask them to come wait on us. He was super friendly big guy and on top of it even checked on us several times as of we were a table. He was on top of customer service.' In the end we even had dessert lol. Anyway it was really not great- would Not return.

Yelp
Their Oktoberfest event is AWESOME! All you can eat sausage and cookies, games and competitions, and of course, all of the great beers. My favorite vendors that they bring are Harland's and Eppig Brew. The beer is just fantastic, the event is very nicely done, and it's a great time. It's also dog friendly.

Yelp
I had a great experience at Drybar and then we walked through all the store. I also enjoyed Blue Bottle Voffee.

Yelp
Wonderful holiday vibes and so many of my favorite restaurants inside like Parakeet Cafe, Cava, North italia, and more. But many close early, which is a bummer.

Yelp
Ate at Nick's - upscale and yummy. Interesting upscale shopping center with different kind of shops. Great food everywhere. Plenty of parking. Traffic around the area can be a little crazy but it's worth it.

Yelp
New-ish shopping center in Del Mar, this place has quickly become a good spot to go to because it has everything - shopping, good food selection, places to hang out, a few brew and coffee options, and great atmosphere all around. Plus parking isn't too bad! Not your typical mall so they have mostly boutique and specialty shops, but still a great place to get your retail therapy on. We always hit up the ice cream shop Salt & Straw, get some coffee from Blue Bottle, get some craft beer from Harland Brewing... really, there are so many places to eat/drink at, and it's just a well maintained, clean place to spend some time with family, friends, or fur babies - you can't go wrong here.

Yelp

There is an abundant of parking spaces and even a kids place for children to play! Some shopping options include; Lululemon- Athletic Gear Faherty - Men and Women Clothing Vibeflow - Yoga Studio Sephora- Personal Care and Beauty Products Fjällräven- Outdoor Clothing and Equipment for Men and Women. Dining Options include; Parakeet Juicing, Nicks Del Mar, CAVA, Tendergreens, Mizukiyama Sushi, Harland Brewing, Bluebottle coffee and many more. Family and I got to visit Urbn Pizza and Harland brewing both were delightful places for happy hour. Family and Dog friendly!

Yelp
Finally popped my cherry and visited this mini mall in my area. I know long overdue! Location/Parking: In the heart of Del Mar, this small shopping mall is a local favorite with a variety of stores and restaurants to meet your fancy. Parking was hard on a Sunday afternoon. You can get street parking or utilize their parking structure which I opted for. First impression: The mall is beautiful and the perfect size. It's not overwhelming with options, which I prefer compared to other larger malls. The layout and decor are perfect with a great selection of artificial green turf and a playground for families. It's a cute little shopping mall, but can be pricey due to the location and clientele. Not a problem since I love window shopping. LOL. The dining options are amazing and has a variety of choices. I love that there are also healthy vegan options. The walkways/paths are well-maintained and kept clean. I also like the open and airy outdoor spaces. Outdoor tables/chairs are set-up for you to sit, people watch, and/or enjoy a drink or meal. The small scale and modern outdoor space is also dog-friendly and I spotted many families walking their furry friends. It's a great place to stop by and just walk around and enjoy the surroundings, browse the nice little shops, have a meal, a cup of coffee/tea, and/or ice cream. You really can't go wrong with such a pleasant and comfortable atmosphere. You literally can spend a few hours here especially on a beautiful San Diego day. My favs: Restaurants/Eateries: Blue Bottle Coffee, Parakeet Juicery, Tocaya Modern Mexican, Tender Greens, Salt and Straw with vegan ice cream options, and Parakeet Cafe. Shopping: Sephora, Curbar (nails), Drybar (hair) Recommend checking 'One Paseo' out if you're in the area!

Yelp
What a lovely outdoor mall that has all the shops that you can imagine. Amazing restaurants. Great places to get coffee, tea or a beverage of your choosing. And can we talk about the lovely outdoor spaces if you wanted to bring your kid to run around, saw plenty of those while we were here. It seems like a great place for you to bring your kids for meal to take your girlfriends out to dinner to go out on a romantic date or just a pop by and have a meal. Lots of spaces for folks to pop in with their work laptop as well and work from a restaurant. Lots of access to parking with a huge parking structure. Great! Clean bathrooms shopping is on point. Pigment is unreal! Shout out to parakeet as well. A really great place to spend a few hours if you are in San Diego!

Yelp
NOT SAFE. My car was broken in and robbed while shopping at One Paseo. It happened on Aug19, Saturday, 726PM, during an outdoor concert behind Harden Brewing. Caught the "professional thief" on my car's rear dashcam. He's going around breaking into cars. He's wearing all black, a black mask, and a black backpack. Young, hispanic looking, male. I called One Paseo's emergency number, (858) 523-2298, but no one answered. I also called 911, but they referred me to non-emergency website.

Taura G.

Yelp
Always a nice place to visit. Shopping is a bit pricey but it comes with the neighborhood and clientele. The dining options are fantastic and well thought out. The paths for walking through the place are kept clean and tidy. I like the atmosphere and how it is open and airy. Perfect place to eat and then walk a little. They also have nice designated outdoor dining areas that seem to be kept clean. Dog friendly.

Yelp
Don't get your jewelry from Marrow! While the actual quality of the jewelry is great, I wish I'd have gone with a different jeweler for my heirloom diamond engagement re-work. :/ The experience was nothing like I'd hoped for and I'm so sad and disappointed. :( My husband and I traveled to San Diego from San Francisco for a fancy Marrow appointment and I was so excited! I'd followed them on Instagram for YEARS and loved everything they did. Turns out, my "custom design" appointment was actually just a retail sales person (not a designer) that presented me with Marrow's existing settings. I had to use the silver ones for my try on because the gold set was in use; and once I was able to get the gold set, not all the settings were there. My appointment was way too short, very impersonal (literally nothing custom about it), and I didn't even see all of Marrow's settings; because again, some of them were in use during my appointment. Also, note that they use two-carat stones in the showroom rings, so of course they look great during try on lol. Anyway, I decided on the Camille setting in the store, and once they sent my CAD for approval, I realized my particular diamond (one carat) looked too small for the setting. In an attempt to gain more finger coverage, I made a suggestion to add side stones. They took my suggestion VERY literally (again, where is the fun "Marrow custom" design process here?) and added the side stones to the CAD for my approval. I didn't feel as though I could make any more edits at that point because they charge $250 PER CAD (!!!) for revisions - even super minor - and I was already in too deep $$$ with the deposit and whatnot. Long story short, the final design looked okay in the CAD and I approved it with some faith. But once I got my ring IRL, the design looked super disjointed. I contacted them to let them know it wasn't quite what I'd expected, and asked if they'd be willing to give me some sort of discount for a remake; I just wanted to see if they could lower the basket and perhaps remove the side stones completely or move them closer to the center stone to remove the awkward space between the side and center stones. They denied my revision request and wanted FULL PRICE to start over with the process like I was a brand new customer. I couldn't believe it, as I'd already purchased the setting, the gold, and the side stones. :( All in all a terrible taste in my mouth. Unfortunately I will be getting my wedding set redone in a few years by an actual custom jewelry designer. Do yourself a favor and make sure your jeweler at the very LEAST has a customer satisfaction guarantee. So so so disappointed.

Yelp
I had so high expectations from One Paseo when I moved back to SD this past June. I had never been before and was expecting a new UTC close to Del Mar. I think some friend took me there for a coffee before but I had the impression the shopping center was very big, but once I started going regularly I felt the place is lacking. Parking is an issue as many people have stated. Also, restaurants are a hit or miss, with a blend of low to medium end. Nothing spectacular. Stores wise it not awesome either, although there is a Sephora and other indie cosmetic and boutiques that I like, there is not much to remember. I like the landscape, the design, the art in the walls. Aesthetically pleasant, yet lacking character.

William M.

Yelp
I want to say that this is my favorite something, but I'm not sure what that "something" is necessarily, because I don't think I can call it a shopping center or a small scale outdoor mall or whatever you wanna call it just doesn't really give it description it deserves. Well just from the way that I would like to experience it it's a place where you can walk around outdoors and pleasant surroundings browse at nice little shops, have a great meal, a cup of coffee, ice cream and visit an amazing butcher in a pleasant comfortable atmosphere. One of many nice ways to spend a couple of hours on an afternoon in San Diego, and one of my favorites.

Aiko N.

Yelp
I am not sure why this place has only three stars, but I loved it here! I was like a kid in a candy store, running around figuring out what to eat and drink. There's so many awesome businesses- a Juice Crafters (I last went to the one in Hillcrest so I'm happy to see they're expanding!), and several other juice/coffee places including a Blue Bottle, desserts like Salt and Straw, and a Shake Shack. I also like Cava, the Butchery, and saw Nick's, which I am curious about. I have no clue what they serve there. I don't care about the shopping here. Just. The. Food.... and Drink. I totally can't wait to return!! Pros: - location - parking structure - dining options - clean restrooms - centrally located to other activities Cons: - none really, just no interesting shops

Arnel D.

Yelp
Welcome to the neighborhood One Paseo! As if North County didn't need another shopping venue or place to eat laugh out loud. Somehow the real estate developers managed to pull it out this new spot just east of the five freeway. They did an exceptional job squeezing all the eateries and boutique shops as well as a parking garage in such a small place. I would venture to say that per capita this particular mall has the most teslas and oversized SUVs compared to other shops and cities it's ridiculous and most of those owners double park their vehicles though they should probably use the valet because I'm sure they can afford the eight dollar fee. Now to One Paseo and the actual mall itself. The mall is beautiful and it's just right amount of size. Not too big not too small. The layout and decor is perfect with a great mix of green artificial turf and playground for children and adults to enjoy. What are you come to grab a coffee lunch dinner or simply shop the small yet ample mall is ideal for it all. The advantage to coming to one Paseo is you can feel the freshness of the ocean breeze being close to the water however it's also its downfall come rainy days. It's definitely a chic place you will come across a few fashionistas that come to be seen and a few creepers that come to see lol. I'll be back for sure as my wife is a fashionista and I protect her from the creepers plus my son likes open air malls. It is stroller friendly and has elevators from the garage so it is ideal for families with newborns or infants.

Yelp
I've visited One Paseo a few times now and have enjoyed each experience. Tender Greens: - great portions for the price (especially in this zip code) Salt & Straw: - amazing staff. You must try the Peanut Butter Stout with chocolate CHICHARRON (tastes like butterfinger) Whiskey x Leather: - love this pricey clothing boutique as the owner is so sweet and her frenchies (omg - you must visit her shop just to say hello to these babies) Blue Bottle Coffee: - tried their iced brew. Nice staff. Their breve latte and mocha are awesome VibeFlow Yoga: - THE BEST. Love the instructors and format of this studio. I've tried almost all their restaurants which I've featured on my food blog. So let's discuss parking. The main structure can be a disaster. The turns to get on the ramps to head up another level is so narrow. There aren't enough spaces during peak hours (lunch and dinner). The 2nd parking structure is now open (by VibeFlow). But construction crews pretty much take up the first and second levels. One Paseo is smaller than I imagined but packs a punch. It's been fun meeting friends here for a bite to eat and to work out.

Ali D.

Yelp
Don't fucking come here unless you want to get locked in the parking garage because it didn't give you a ticket and makes you pay 15$ to exit when you didn't even park. This place is a joke.

Marcus F.

Yelp
There's a reason why the locals call One Paseo the Chernobyl of North County. Today it's an intriguing outdoor food hall, but by the end of the year and into early 2020 the construction of the mega appartment complex and the new office buildings will be complete. Many speculate that it's a disaster waiting to happen. I came to One Paseo two hours before a large social media event took place midweek. I was lucky enough to find parking and after picking up a coffee I sat and relaxed listening to their mall's muzac and did some people watching. It wasn't crowded at this time of the day and it was enjoyable. That's probably how the architect envisioned it. That's probably how it was sold the city. But reality hit hard when people started showing up in the evening. My opinion of One Paseo quickly changed when the event's food bloggers starting arriving and the small parking structure quickly hit capacity. Paseo One just wasn't designed to handle a large number of people. When you read through the negative reviews, many point out the lack of parking and the traffic situation on the weekends. What's going to happen when the attached apartments are complete and those office buildings? My advice is to come to One Paseo now while it's still a three star shopping experience. Dining options: From a foodie perspective there are some compelling dining options here. I was able to sample many of them and they were all tasty. I'd come back to try North Italia and Sweetfin Poke on my own dime. Shake Shake and Salt and Straw have reasonable lines at Paseo One. Again, when all the construction is complete this will be a mess.. So visit here now.. tic tic tic... - There are very few shopping opportunities here, only a few small boutiques. - There are also a few self-improvement businesses like Yoga and Spin Classes. - Three stars today, likely be downgraded later this year. Tip - If you're planning to visit on a weekend or during the holidays it's better to just Uber or Lyft in. They do have a valet service but that too gets packed.

Jack M.

Yelp
As the construction continues and completions nears, One Paseo is turning out to be a true treasure for Del Mar and it residents, not to mention visitors a like, such as myself. One of the things that I am really fond of is not only the architecture but the landscaping. Many people don't notice those things but I do. Perhaps I am weird that way. With the exception of a few olive trees, most of the vegetation takes a vertical growth to maximize space and to allow the various amount of comfortable seating. The brick stone flooring that meanders around the center is quite nice. The shopping center has a real park like appeal. The luxury apartments are trendy and modern, the soon to be completed office building will be first class in respect to the area, and there are plenty of places to eat, drink, and shop at One Paseo. Every time I come here, I get that feeling that there more good things to come.

Arlene P.

Yelp
To be fair, I was introduced to this place via the Yelp 15th birthday and it was phenomenal. We got to try many of the businesses wares and since then, last wel, I've been back twice. I really like this place, I'd describe it as a boutique mall ... I'd del mar, UTC and the nice area of Poway had a baby, you'd have one Paseo. It is a great little place top spend a beautiful morning or evening in San Diego AND it has many of the beloved shops from Little Italy like Parakeet , Pigment and Salt and Straw... with decent parking... although not perfect because parking can run out, but they do have valet service. Have you ever been to Santana Row near San Jose? This place is kind of like that... a live, work, play beautiful place.

Charles C.

Yelp
I am not really sure what all the fuss is about One Paseo. All of the talk about being a veritable playground for dazzling "fashionistas" and whatever. I was there for the first time this weekend to have dinner at Nick's, and I walked around the shopping area before dinner. What I found was a rather haphazard collection of low-rise putty-colored tin-walled huts with black trim, housing various chain stores. The people milling about were an everyday lot, some accompanied by screaming children. I like the way the various open spaces have a name designation---"Koi Pond", "Fire Pit", etc. One of the open spaces featured an area of artificial turf (ugh!) upon which people sat awkwardly. There were the ubiquitous white-curtained cabanas to please the millennials' sense of style. The planting in the development is surprisingly sparse, but there are small olive trees dotted here and there which help ease the hardscape overload. Parking was not as horrific as I had anticipated. Note there is a small "secret" open parking lot behind Buildings 3 and 4 if you get lucky to snag a space. As a note of caution on your visit to One Paseo, an odd pickpocket attempt on me was disconcerting. Specifically, I was standing at the end of an empty eight-foot long picnic table in front of Nick's, talking on the phone to my friend who had just arrived in the parking lot, giving him directions to find me and the restaurant. I carry a cross-body bag and it was positioned over my stomach as I talked on the phone. One small pocket where I keep my keys was unzipped. Suddenly, an older man wearing a Gucci baseball cap using a walker [one of those wheeled grocery shopping cart type---not so much the usual medical walker you see around] pushed right against me with his hands on my bag saying "I have to sit down". His mask was down, and when he spoke those words, his face was inches from mine and his hands were on my bag. I immediately jumped back and shouted "What are you doing?" He had not been "collapsing" when he ran into me saying he had to sit down, and the entire eight foot long bench was open for his use. It seemed clear he was targeting distracted people on telephones. I observed him sit down at the bench for a moment and then get up and weave his way back into the crowd, in search of his next distracted victim.

James V.

Yelp
An unexpected oasis located off the Del Mar Heights I-5 exit, providing to joy to all those in Carmel Valley. It often feels like this place was built with Instagram heavily in mind: murals and phrases adorn the walls, while most businesses (a mix of mostly restaurant and some retail) feature indoor/outdoor seating spaces. There are many familiar names in the complex: Salt & Straw, Shake Shack, and CAVA just to name a few. Sure, these may be chains, but they're good ones and it's great to have them all located in one place. Parking can get crowded, but each time I've been, finding a spot in the structure wasn't an issue. Enjoy!

Mark F.

Yelp
Came here for the first time earlier this week. Here are my initial impressions... The free parking available in the three level parking garage is convenient, but I can see it filling up quickly as this venue becomes more popular, especially during high volume shopping periods, like around the holidays. Thankfully valet is also available, which should help a bit in that aspect. This is a modern shopping plaza located in an upscale neighborhood. It seems in some aspects that usability and utility has taken a back seat to design unfortunately. For instance, There are what essentially passes for stickers or painted indicators for the restrooms and parking on the side of buildings, instead of obvious signs protruding from buildings like at other venues. Instead of an elaborate play area with modern equipment to draw and keep the interests of families with kids, there's The Log. The Log is a massive petrified tree trunk that kids can explore. The Log seems more like an interactive art exhibit rather than a kids playground, which I'm sure is intentional. As a parent, I don't see how this will be enough to keep me coming back when I'm shopping with my young kids, but perhaps that's intentional. There's a park-like feel to One Paseo. But it's more more appropriate to compare it to a college campus than a "kids park". I guess time will tell how successful this shopping and dining destination will be. It has lots of great elements and all the potential to be something long-term and endearing to San Diego and the surrounding neighborhood.

Yelp
Ananda was super helpful and friendly, took the time to show us around. Provide us with a cart and was patient with all of our questions. She provided excellent customer service

Lindsay P.

Yelp
I came by here this week to take a break during a long day trip that involved a lot of driving. This was a great place to unwind. It's really pleasant and the environment is calm and peaceful, while being fun at the same time. There are some excellent restaurants at this little outdoor shopping mall, and I will have to come back another time to try a few more. It's very clean, well maintained, and there is a big free parking garage. Would be a great place to meet a friend for lunch and shopping. The stores are more high-end, boutique-style places, so on the expensive side, but great for checking things out and maybe splurging on something special!

Norbert K.

Yelp
Well, I've been curious about this shopping center since it opened. Today, I gave it a look see, and I don't see why the fuss about it. It's an eclectic set of boutique shops (mostly clothing and accessories) and eating places housed in what looks like white shacks around a small green space. It has a nice multistory parking garage. Didn't find anything here that warrants a second visit.

Elizabeth P.

Yelp
Cute romantic place to go with your date especially during the night time! They have lots of lights hanging around the trees! I love going to their cute stores and browsing them. They have a lot of hand sanitizers and sinks to wash your hands safely. They also have someone wiping down all the tables at night time, That was nice to see. Thank you for keeping everyone safe. Everything outdoors was social distanced as best as possible, but the people weren't utilizing social distancing outside at some parts of the restaurant areas. However the sit down areas outside were spaces apart as much as possible and kept very clean.

Joey W.

Yelp
A great place to grab lunch or dinner with friends! Love the outdoor spaces. Shops include Lululemon, Fjallraven, and some boutique shops. There's not much to do aside from eating here. Easy to find parking in the garage. I could see it as a cute lunch date spot.

Jenn C.

Yelp
Our friends who live in the area introduced us to this place. It's a neat area with some decent restaurants and dessert places (Shake Shack, North Italia, Sugarfin, and so on) along with some cool shops that feature local and popular clothing and knick knacks. Also a plus - plenty of outdoor eating space areas for social distancing!

Jennifer S.

Yelp
So grateful to have outdoor shopping areas during these times. When indoor malls have all but shut down due to Covid, this outdoor plaza is a respite! So many eateries & shops. We just came to take a stroll & even listen to some live music on a Saturday night. Parking has never been an issue. There's an employee with a cart that walks around the plaza with a cart that has masks & sanitizer & he wipes down surfaces. They're doing a great job here. Hope everyone continues to comply with the mask rule so these places stay open (I see you rebel non-mask wearers).

Christine B.

Yelp
On a holiday Sunday morning Veterans Day weekend- One Paseo management chose to close the entire garage for pressure washing ! Several small businesses ( coffee, breakfast etc) and other retailers were never notified. They all suffered ! Management obviously out of touch!

Cindy L.

Yelp
I came here many times before the Yelp 15th birthday party, specifically for Sephora, Salt and Straw, and Philz Coffee across the way. However, the Yelp 15th birthday party really made me realized how cool the other places are and I got to see how much this place has improved and is still building and growing. It's a great plaza with really unique shops, like the Whiskey and Leather shop. I plan to come here much more often now and so glad to see that they're giving this place a really nice face lift.

Nancy T.

Yelp
Casual shopping center with an urban, farmhouse, and modern vibe. I love the variety of dining options, including some of my favorites like Blue Bottle Coffee, Salt & Straw, North Italia, Shake Shack, Tender Greens, etc. If you can't find something that suits your palate, you can easily hop across the street to Del Mar Highlands where there's several more comparable dining options and some more upscale restaurants. Love this place - definitely a great addition to San Diego!

Phil B.

Yelp
Love the restaurants and the general design of the stores, but parking is a huge problem, often throughout the day. On Thursday at 6, we came for dinner and the garage sign said 2nd and 1st floor full, but 27 spaces available on the 3rd. As we drove up to the 3rd, many cars were passing us coming down. That's because there were no spaces on the third floor. The sign was wrong. We finally found a space by following a pedestrian to his car, but we were late for our reservations. The couple meeting with us were also late by another half hour for the same reason. They had to park across the street at the other shopping center. Our solution is to not go back until they add to the parking capacity. Frankly, no restaurant is worth putting up with this idiocy. Not a way to begin a relaxing night out.

Yelp
I understand One Paseo is only partially open, but given that I am a long time resident of this area (more than 30 years), I'm very comfortable giving the 2 starts. While I was NEVER one of those who objected to the construction of One Paseo, I am very disappointed with it thus far. Okay, for starters.. the parking structure. While maybe aesthetically pleasing with the sails on the top to mimic the convention center downtown... they should have put up solar panels. Speaking of aesthetics, I agree with the other person who described some of the buildings as looking like barns! Right across the street is Searsucker. I'm not a fan of that restaurant, but it's full of windows and a very pleasing looking building. Speaking of across the street. I know the construction at One Paseo isn't finished (actually, far from it) but I sincerely hope they have plans to build a foot bridge going from that side over to the Del Mar Highlands shopping center just like the foot bridge on Del Mar Heights going from the Signature Point Apartments to the Del Mar Highlands shopping center. I realize you want to keep the business all at One Paseo, but that isn't reality. And with all the apartments/condos being built at One Paseo, the pedestrian traffic going across El Camino Real is going to be a nightmare. Let's talk roads. Again, having lived up in here for 3 decades, the roads, specifically El Camino Real south of Del Mar Heights all the way to High Bluff Drive has been trashed over the past few years the construction has been going on creating massive pot holes. I feel like it's some sort of video game when driving down El Camino Real trying to avoid all the potholes swerving from lane to lane. Clearly, One Paseo is all about the $$$$ and doesn't care about the people who live in the area. And don't tell me about how El Camino Real will be re-paved after the construction is finished. You need to resurface the roads NOW, and then again after the construction is finished. This review is based upon living next to this construction nightmare for years and still dealing with it. No, I'm not a fan and time will tell if they will step up and do the right thing and fix the roads and hopefully there are plans for a foot bridge going across El Camino Real. If not, at least we still have Del Mar Highlands Shopping Center which has been here for decades and even through their upgrades, has always been accessible and provides just about anything someone could want or need.

Yelp
so far ...ok.... although we were promised a place to hang with tons of shops and restaurants...98% of One Paseo seems like it's going to be offices and residences...BOO!!! more crowds and more traffic in our neighborhood. That being said...it was inevitable. So far only a few places have opened up and i'm pretty happy with the additions. Butchery really being on top of all the others. Hopefully the future openings will be as good or better (i can't imagine they will be!). There isn't enough reason to hang out here too long right now...hopefully that will change. From what I've seen i'm happy though. Our neighborhood was in desperate need for something new and exciting. kids are loving the log to play on! kids are happy with shake shack i have tried butchery 3 times and can't wait to go back! I tried the sushi shop....unless they change...not gonna last checked out the pigment...looks cool! my daughter loves urban beach house CUR bar is the hottest new nail salon! daughter is super excited for Sephora Can't wait for it all to open!

Yelp
I lived in Carmel Valley for years up until recently but I was aware of this place for years before it actually got done. It is definitely not what I expected. The Shopping: Although it has a couple cute stores the actually shopping attraction is not there. I would not drive up to Carmel Valley just to shop there. Sorry CARMEL VALLYans you still have to drive to UTC or Fashion Valley for some decent shopping. Aesthetically: The modern farmhouse look is cute, I don't know if it will still be cute in a few years but still cute. The food: This is where they earned some stars. A few good eateries were added to the area which is great but not enough for us foodies. The traffic: I know this was the #1 issue with the locals and unfortunately. It's going to be bad. The parking structure is meh. Overall: I think this place was basically built for the apartments. The stores were just added for more income revenue. I wish luck to all the store owners. I know there are a few local small shops who I would hate to be affected negatively. I will not be a frequent customer. It just doesn't make sense for me to drive there for shopping or eating and the highlands shopping center is GREAT on its own. They are putting so much effort into social media marketing and so on but unfortunately the made it seem as if it was going to compare to The Grove in L.A. and I just don't see it

Yelp
SUNNY MORNING ! We headed over here today about 11.30pm to grab a take out sandwich from The Butchery while charging up my wife's Tesla Y. The place was as dead as a cracker....obviously with the upgraded covid restrictions restaurants like North Italia and Nick's Del Mar opposite The Butchery were shuttered. We saw very few people walking around while we were here !

Yelp
Great event on a amazing August evening. One Paseo is a friendly shopping mall. With great stores, amazing restaurants, & super dog friendly. I came out to celebrate 15yrs of Yelp ( wow that makes me young ). I will have to say they picked a great venue to celebrate 15yrs. Cheers to another 15yrs !!!

Yelp
We came by on a Saturday to see what was to be seen. Still a lot of coming soon signs. But I really like the feel and the flow of the mall. The open spaces and areas were really nice and planes out. We got some cupcakes and coffee, and listened to the amazing live music they had in the courtyard. It seemed very dog friendly, we saw lots of four legged friends walking around on leashes. I am excited to see a Sephora open up. I am looking forward to the other stores that are pending too. We stopped into Blue Bottle, Salt and Straw, SusieCakes, they also have a ShakeShack, Tender Greens. For shopping they have Whisky and Leather, Soul Cycle and Urban Beach House (which reminds me of some of the shops in downtown Del Mar or any beachy down town). The parking structure is still working out the bugs. It's a four-star as I feel it's not realllly open yet. It felt 50% open with lots of "coming soon". I am eager to visit again when all the shops are open. I really like when I have seen so far tho :)

Yelp
I come to One Paseo at least twice a week. It's a cute hangout spot with lots of food and good drinks. The Butchery- its a butcher shop with many cheeses and wine. It's my Aunts favorite store and we always have to grab a charcuterie plate to go. Sweetfin- Cali style poke with perfectly cooked bamboo rice, fresh pacific fish and many toppings to choose from. Shake Shack- bomb burger joint with New York prices. It's was more than $15 for a meal. I love it but my bank account don't. Tendergreens- you can never go wrong with a plate from Tendergreens! Refreshing, comforting and satisfying. After eating here, I feel like I have my life together. Susie Cakes- baked by some badass Rosie the Riverter angels. I love cupcakes and birthday cakes here. Drybar- can I live here and wake up to a hair wash everyday, please? I love the on the rocks hair mask, the scalp massage and all the wonderful smells from the products. A blow out here is addicting!

Yelp
I love me a great new place to explore and this is one of those places. A bunch of new shops and local places in San Diego are coming to town and they are calling One Paseo home. The grounds here are amazing, there are plenty of parking spots for people and it's clean. So far One Paseo is home to Shake Shack, Salt and Straw, a couple retail stores, a sushi restaurant, Blue Bottle Coffee and there are more coming in. I can't wait to see how this place grows.

Yelp
Amazing spot with incredible shops! I love this place! I'm excited to get my nails done at CürBAR and I've been looking forward to checking out the cute children's retail and haircut shop Nathan West. I tried SusieCakes for the first time. I bought some cupcakes and they were amazing. They strike the perfect balance between decadent and light. There was a kind employee who gifted me a free cupcake when I couldn't decided between two cupcake flavors. So sweet! Urban Beach House has the cutest wardrobe collection and everything they sell is super cute. I took a SoulCycle class and it was a fun experience. The staff was super nice and helpful. My only issue with the class was the music. Only one genre of music was playing. It would be nice if the classes played some hip hop like Drake. That would make the classes super fun and would assist in accommodating everyone's musical tastes. Even better, if they featured a Drake only spin class I would sign up so hard haha. Anyways, this shopping center has everything you need from kid's haircut and retail shop Nathan West, to a mani/pedi store Curbar, SoulCycle, Salt & Straw, SusieCakes, Urban Beach House, Shake Shack, Joe & the Juice, etc etc. All my favorite spots in a nice shopping center. This will make a nice one-stop shop for me and I could not be more thrilled.

Yelp
My personal favorite places to visit during a San Diego stay. The closest LA has is the Grove or Americana but honestly I enjoy that Paseo has open seating in the common areas so people can just chill out. The shop selection is much better here or at least I can find something more appealing. I wish we had something like this up in LA

Yelp
I have been here a few times and have always enjoyed my surroundings and have been successful in my trips. The location is great because there are some other shopping plazas around so you can always find what you need and want. Parking is easy as there is a parking garage and I have never had an issue finding a spot in it. There is a good variety of stores and restaurants. You can have simple meals, fancy meals, ice cream, or cookies and cakes here. You can go to a gift shop or you can go to a boutique for some shopping. The variety is perfect because you can get what you want or need but you aren't overwhelmed with options. The surrounding areas outside of the shops are nice. There are plenty of seated areas as well some open spaces and the walkways are all quite spacious. Overall, I have always had great experiences here and although I'm not in the area too often, I don't mind coming here to shop at all.

Yelp
Parking is $3 per hour. Because they can. I parked for 1 hour and 19 minutes and they happily rounded up to 2 hours and charged me $6. Because they can. Not cool.
