The Best New Bars in Montreal, September 2022 | Eater Montreal

"La Petite-Patrie got its very own Irish pub with One Punch Mickey’s arrival this winter. It’s a cozy, pint-sized place pouring Irish whiskeys and beers from the owner of nearby Snowbird Tiki and Taverne Cobra." - Valerie Silva

A Pint-Sized Irish Pub Opens in La Petite-Patrie | Eater Montreal

"In La Petite-Patrie I found a pint-sized Irish pub on Bélanger Street that aims to fill a neighbourhood void by focusing on Irish whiskeys and what the owner calls “the holy grail of Irish beers” (Guinness, Harp, Smithwick’s, and Kilkenny). Owner Anthoni Jodoin recreated the quintessential Irish-pub experience with dim lighting, rustic wood surfaces, a time-weathered appeal, deep greens, loungey leather seating, and anthropomorphic art showing dogs playing pool and poker with cigars and beers. During a brief soft opening customers assumed the place had been here for years—exactly the lived-in feel Jodoin wanted. Named after Brad Pitt’s tough-guy character in Snatch, it occupies the 1,000-square-foot former karaoke bar La P’tite Place, Jodoin has partnered with Simon Malette, plans to add pub grub, hopes for a triumphant St-Patrick’s Day, and is currently closed due to COVID-19 restrictions." - Valerie Silva

Friendly service and awesome decor. Good spot to watch some hockey on a Saturday night. Prices can be a tiny bit expensive but that’s to be expected at a popular bar on the weekend.

What a really great bar! Got served by William and the service and customer service was amazing. One of the best Irish car bombs ive had. They aren't cheap on the Guinness. I love they're house cocktails and the theme and atmosphere is on point. Really friendly open and easy,to just lay back and grab one to many. I like there bloody mockey and how they come with a complementary pepperoni and goes so well with the drink. Im coming back when im not driving and letting lose!

Drinking Guinness beer at One Punch Mickey’s is rich and flavorful experience that embodies the essence of an authentic Irish stout. The beer tasted just right, deep color and just right amount of crispness and frothy. The pub's ambience enhances the enjoyment. It is cozy, dimly lit bar adorned with a variety of neon signs, colorful lights, and eclectic decorations. The warm glow from the green stained-glass lamp on the ceiling casts a welcoming light over the bar area, creating an inviting atmosphere. The bar is well-stocked with an array of spirits and beers, and the walls are covered with stickers and memorabilia, adding to the character and charm of the place. The overall vibe is lively yet intimate, in short making it an ideal spot in Montreal to savor a pint of True Guinness. 🍀☘️☘️☘️🇮🇪❤️.

A very cool Irish pub with full of decorations on the ceiling and a “funny guy” only sees you on emergency exit ☘️🇮🇪 Beers are not very strong if taken from the tank. Recommend IPA 🍺

Great bar with a good selection of beers. The snack menu is basic like mac and cheese and wings but they are super good for the price. Kitchen closes at midnight. The interior is stunning and the ambiance at nignt is awesome. Went there to watch the ufc and they have tv's everywhere so you can watch. Darts is cool too. Awesome place to go with friends, will go again!

We loved the decor, the Irish theme, the long beer menu and most of all the comfortable ambiance. For anyone that watched the movie "beerfest" you know how iconic "Das Boot" is and why we had to get it. We also got lucky charms with the milk switched for Guinness on a dare. It tastes exactly how you would expect.
