Only YOU Hotel Atocha (Madrid, Spain) 7 Verified Reviews | Tablet Hotels

"If you’ve traveled all the way to Madrid, it might seem like an unusual decision to stay in a hotel that models itself after its counterparts in New York. But stay with us on this, because Only YOU Hotel Atocha is an inspired mix of the best of the old world and new. New York might serve as inspiration, but this hotel doesn’t ignore its heritage or its prime location in central Madrid. Catalan designer Lázaro Rosa Violan has taken a historic 19th-century building, just steps from the city’s beloved green lung, Retiro Park, and fashioned it into a 21st-century interior design gem." - Tablet Hotels

Only You Atocha | Best places to stay in Madrid

"Steps away from Madrid’s lush Retiro Park and the city’s main Atocha train station, and within walking distance of the Prado Museum, this industrial-chic boutique hotel is a stylish and local-feeling base for sightseeing and mingling in Madrid. The glassed-in courtyard, now a lounge and library, is a fun hangout, and you’ll meet plenty of locals at the 7th-floor Septima restaurant and bar – which has arguably the best views of any Madrid hotel (a cocktail here at sunset is a must). Rooms are a mix of trendy exposed and painted brick and polished woods, with flashes of pretty Spanish tiling. Premium ones overlook the city skyline, while others face the courtyard – and all are well soundproofed. It’s a great hotel for anyone who wants to feel the pulse of this contemporary city. I recently stayed at Only YOU Atocha and overall had a lovely experience. The hotel itself is beautiful…my room was gorgeous, spacious, and stylish. The location is the real standout, with so many key sights just a short walk away, which made exploring Madrid incredibly easy. The bar has amazing energy and the food was excellent, but the service was a bit hit-and-miss. I was almost forgotten a couple of times…my order had to be taken twice, the drink that arrived wasn’t the one I ordered, and it took about 25 minutes to get the bill even though I’d asked for it when they cleared my dishes. Not a deal-breaker, but definitely noticeable. One thing to call out: if you’re a light sleeper, be prepared. The walls are thin, and I could hear music at all hours as well as what sounded like furniture being moved, which made it difficult to get solid rest. Overall, a stylish hotel in a brilliant location with great food and atmosphere… just be mindful of the noise and some service inconsistencies.

My partner and I started our 2 week travels through Spain with two nights at this hotel. It was a wonderful experience and a highlight of both our lodging and dining during our trip! The hotel is very comfortable and a lovely blend of old world charm with modern style. The bed, dressing area, and bathroom were especially comfortable. The location is also great. It's directly by the metro and train station for convenience, but this didn't impact our sleep. It was also a short walk to museums and parks. Taxis are also easy to find right out the door and drivers know this location by name if you are trying to get back. We had one of our favorite meals at the hotel restraunt. The food was high quality, flavorful, and there were items we didn't see offered at other restraunts in spain. There was also an exceptional wine list. The people working at the hotel were also exceptional. Our waiter (i don't remember his name but he was from France) was very kind, funny, and provided excellent recommendations. I'm also very thankful for Raquel, house keeping, and the front desk staff who very diligently helped reunite me with an item I left in the hotel room before I departed Spain. Raquel in particular exceeded my expectations in helping me, which made me feel valued and cared for. I highly recommend this hotel and send my thanks for the staff.

Google
Only YOU Hotel Atocha is awesome! It is a stylish, design-forward boutique hotel located directly across from Madrid’s Retiro Park, offering guests a blend of urban sophistication and relaxed comfort. It’s equipped with modern amenities, plush bedding, and thoughtful details that make the stay feel both elegant and personal. The hotel also has vibrant social spaces, including its lively lobby, its café-style eatery that serves a mix of international and Spanish cuisine, and its rooftop terrace, which frequently hosts events and offers panoramic city views. Its central location near Atocha Station makes it ideal for both leisure and business travelers, providing easy access to major museums like the Prado and Reina Sofía, as well as excellent connections to the rest of the city. Overall, Only YOU Hotel Atocha combines design, comfort, and convenience into a memorable Madrid experience.

I had the absolute pleasure of staying at Only You Hotel Atocha, and everything from the moment I arrived until check-out was truly perfect. The staff were incredibly welcoming and attentive, and the front desk team was both helpful and genuinely friendly. A special thank you to Mercedes from Guest Relations for her wonderful restaurant recommendations and suggestions on places to visit. During my stay, I mentioned that I follow a healthy lifestyle, and Raquel, the Front Desk Manager, kindly took it to heart. She ensured that every detail of my visit was just perfect. I was especially delighted to find a fresh fruit platter waiting in my room - such a thoughtful and touching gesture. Her attention to detail throughout my stay was truly remarkable. Once again thank you Raquel ! The breakfast buffet was excellent, offering a wide variety of delicious options. Book your stay without hesitation, I will most definitely be back! Special thanks to the Housekeeping- room was perfectly done and so neatly prepared. Thank you for a fantastic experience! 🤍

Had an amazing brunch experience! The food was great, but the service truly stood out. Razvan took care of our table and was outstanding. He was friendly, attentive, and quick to bring out our food and drinks. As an added bonus, when we asked for local recommendations, he offered great suggestions for things to do in the city. We really felt welcomed. Thanks again! We will be returning. :)

I stayed here with my daughter for three nights in November 2025. The hotel was really clean and comfortable with a safe in the room and a mini bar ( so we could keep our drinks cool). The shower is large and powerful. Our room had no natural light but I'm sure for a slightly higher price, you can get a room with large windows and a view. Since we arrived on a Saturday afternoon, we had brunch in the restaurant. That was good value and really tasty. Three courses, a buck's fizz ( mimosa) - although the dessert course was slow to arrive. We also ate dinner in the restaurant on one evening but that was disappointing. My hake was under seasoned and the fries tasted as if they had been heated in an air fryer! Not at all crispy. The meal was also expensive, especially in comparison to the brunch. Our server Jonay was attentive, friendly and charming though. The hotel is a few steps away from the Atocha metro and across the road from the 203 airport bus so conveniently located. The staff were cordial and polite.

We had a great experience at the hotel, our breakfast was great and our waiter "Razvan" was absolutely wonderful—friendly, attentive, and genuinely caring. He greeted us with a warm smile and made sure we had everything we needed without ever feeling rushed. The service felt personal, thoughtful and his English was amazing.||A big thank-you for making our time at the hotel feel so welcoming. Highly recommended!

Google
Beautiful hotel with stylish decor and a great vibe. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and well-designed — everything felt modern and thoughtfully put together. The location is excellent, right across from Retiro Park and close to Atocha Station, which made getting around the city super convenient. Service was generally good and staff were polite, though at times a bit slow during busy hours. Overall, a lovely stay with great atmosphere and a perfect spot for exploring Madrid.

Yelp
Lovely hotel. Beautifully decorated and maintained. Wonderful happy helpful staff in every department. A comfortable haven after a long day of walking in the sun visiting the many wonderful places in Madrid. Our room with king size bed was perfect. The cafe in the lobby a great place to rest and chill out. Rooftop bar restaurant excellent. We Highly recommend this hotel.

Yelp
I stayed here for three nights and I could not be more pleased with my stay. First off the decor of this hotel, was amazing! It had a touch of history and a modern twist. Don't be alarmed when you see a dark hallway, there are motions lights and they will turn on! I loved all the mirrors in the room, it made getting ready a little special. The roof top bar was equally private and relaxing. There was a large craft cocktail menu and a small bar bite menu. I also was very impressed with the breakfast set up. Plenty of local cuisine to choose from and an omelette station, nuts, fruit, fresh juices and yogurts. I think for me, it was the small things I liked a lot about this hotel. The cute messages along with it; sayings on coffee mugs, relaxation terrace, just everywhere! I can't recommend this hotel enough! The location to the train station and Park is right around the corner.

Yelp
Modern, sleek and amazingly well managed. Excellent service - all our questions answered all our needs met. Right in the center of Atrocha train station and metro - extremely convenient to transit around the city. Rooms are on the small size but very cozy and clean. Rooftop restaurant was the best and the design of the hotel is all eye candy with its funky structures and patterns.

Yelp
Last year I had lunch with a friend at Only You's lobby restaurant. The food and the service were great! The decor is eclectic and modern. This is a very nice hotel just steps away from the Atocha train station.

Yelp
I highly recommend this hotel. It's hospitality is as amazing as the design and comfort of the hotel. They have a beautiful breakfast station starting at 7am, it's I believe $20 pp, buffet style, however you won't regret it. The rooms are modern and beautiful. There are many attractions to walk to during the day such as the museum and many restaurants, and markets are within a 10 min drive. You won't regret it.

Yelp
The Only YOU Atocha on the Paseo Infanta Isabel opposite Puerta de Atocha railway station is a beautiful, Lázaro Rosa-Violán interior-designed hotel. Step in and you are greeted with a sweeping, fluid, borderless amalgamation of hotel lobby, restaurant, bar, barbershop and bakery. I would come back to this hotel for its design alone. The rooms are spacious and carry on with the same nostalgic theme. The breakfast area is amazing too. So is breakfast itself (much, much better than the similarly priced H10 Hotel I also stayed at). Service is friendly yet professional. I have three gripes, a) the hotel is close to the Puerta de Atocha railway station but not much else, b) I hate the corridors, and c) the restaurant (attached to the bar) downstairs needs to improve. Other than that, this is a superb little hotel which I have no reservations in recommending. Waste NOT. Want NOT. Instagram @ravenousxerxes xerxes@dellara.com

Yelp
This is our second stay at this wonderful hotel, just across the street from the Atocha train station. I can't say enough about this place: the rooms were quiet, clean, spacious... And the staff was extraordinary. The food was great. The pastries were great. We'll plan to stay there when we return!

Yelp
We took the yellow bus for 5 euro from the airport directly to 1 block away from the hotel-- so easy. Then we were lucky enough to check in early at 11 am . The concierge was helpful with a map and recommendations for restaurants and what to do . The restaurants and tapas were delicious. The hotel is close to the Museums and metro. We were able to get everywhere by walking or by public transportation. The staff were friendly and bilingual. Great for us because we can only speak English Would return again

Yelp
Fabulous service , fun friendly vibe, cool ultra chic urban hotel close to Retiro Park. Outstanding breakfast and awesome staff

Yelp
The hotel receptionists lied to my face. Prior to checking in AND while checking out, I asked to make adjustments to my dates since I was flying home early due to personal medical needs. I was told by two receptionist that my stay would need to be adjusted by booking.com. I reached out to booking.com and they told me the hotel should have taken care of my changes in accommodations. So either the hotel lied or booking.com lied, either way both services failed to meet my needs especially during a time where it involved medical issues. Will never use either service again and will inform others as well to use other sites since its been made clear they do not care about guests once they get their money.
