The room itself was actually pretty good for a short stay. It was clean and tidy, the lighting was comfortable, and the location is excellent – only about a 5‑minute walk from Atocha Station, which is very convenient for trains and getting around the city. For these reasons, the hotel does have some solid positives.
However, the overall experience was not very good, and I am glad I only stayed for one night. At night, if guests above, below, or next door are moving or jumping, you can clearly feel the floor shaking. The soundproofing is extremely poor: doors closing are very loud and sometimes woke me up during the night. I could clearly hear people talking in the next room and also conversations in the hallway, which made it feel like there was no privacy at all, and I did not feel very safe or relaxed in the room.
Overall, I would rate this hotel 3 stars: a decent room and great location, but very poor soundproofing and a general feeling of discomfort at night mean I would not choose to stay here again for more than one night.
