The 15 Best Restaurants In Key West

"There comes a point in every vacation where all food conversations end at pizza. If that happens while you’re in Key West, go to Onlywood. There’s an Onlywood Pizzeria on Duval Street, but Onlywood Grill is more spacious, has an expanded menu, and is good for large groups or families who want to sit down in a dining room that doesn’t look like it was made from flotsam. The pizza here is closer to Neapolitan style, with a fluffy crust and toppings that range from a simple margherita to slightly more adventurous options like pistacchio sauce, parmacotto ham, and mushrooms. It won’t blow you away, but it’s satisfying if every sunburnt tourist is suddenly making you think about pepperoni pizza." - ryan pfeffer

Loved!!! The food, the service, the ambiance were all top tier. The homemade traditional pizzas are definitely a must try. Everything that came out of the kitchen looked both fresh and appetizing. This was our favorite restaurant while visiting Key West!

Lovely evening in Key West, wanted something that everyone in the family could enjoy. No one had to sacrifice their meal preferences at Onlywood Grill. There was a cheese pizza for my son, spaghetti with sauce for another son. My wife had a pizza as well as our family friend. The staff were friendly, professional and very courteous. Our party was sat within minutes of arrival, and our waiter got us bread and drinks within minutes of sitting down. The restaurant has a very warm family vibe, with a hint of sophistication. The restroom was clean, with a gorgeous candle burning. If you’re looking for the best Surf/turf on the planet, please give Onlywood Grill a shot, enjoy!

I'm absolutely loving this place! The atmosphere is great and the staff is super friendly. They always make me feel welcome, recognize me, and come say hello - it's clear they're genuinely happy to see me! The happy hour menu is delicious and I love just hanging out at the bar relaxing. What really brings me back is the team - they're friendly, enthusiastic, and clearly love working here. I've never had a bad experience - always satisfaction guaranteed! Highly recommend!

We loved the outdoor seating and vibes here. My friend got the super meat lovers pizza I can’t remember the name of. He LOVED it, 10/10. The servers were very patient with my dietary questions. I ended up getting the gluten free spaghetti with meatballs. It was okay, I definitely don’t recommend paying $6 for the meatballs. They weren’t even very hot, in my opinion. Also high praise for the key lime pie.

Google
Best hands down pizza! We are pizza snobs, and this woodfire crust, sauce and toppings were epic!! I hate giving reviews like this because then you book a table, its harder to get in!! Service was awesome, and great compliment to the whole experience. Tonight the ribeye on the Argentinian grill!

Google
Best pizza I've had in a long time! The crust was absolutely perfect and the sauce was light and sweet. Also had the gnocchi bolognese and it was fresh, airy, and delicious! The service was a bit odd, with out waiter hovering over us the entire meal, but that's better than not coming at all. Water cups were all dirty, so we ordered cocktails instead.

Google
Great spot! The right balance of upscale paired with awesome food. Would definitely return and recommend!

Google
Food was great, our group ordered a variety of dishes. Highly recommend the steak for two to share, individually however, either the chicken Milanese or any other similar dish is great for a single plate. The arugula salad had a acidic dressing but was easy to finish and added a great balance to the fried chicken Milanese.

Yelp
Came for the pizza and weren't disappointed; thin crust with good chew and lovely teeny, tiny chopped tomato base to the mozzarella topped pizza. I read that they make their own mozzarella! The wood burning stove seemed to take less than a minute to cook the pizza. Also had a chopped fennel salad with oranges, pistachios, and radishes. The dressing could have used a bit more acid and definitely needs the fennel to be chopped up more. Still, not disappointing. The wait staff was lovely and considerate. The music was dreadful, but it was part of a special event going on that week in Key West. The young woman who waited on us agreed - - it was giving her a headache, but she couldn't complain because the manager said it suited the theme for the events going on. She was quite cute about it all. There is outside seating that I would've preferred, but it smelled kind of fishy. Literally, like bad fish. When we left after eating, the smell wasn't there. I don't know what that was about. I would definitely return for their pizza.

Yelp
The location and venue is quite attractive and they have a huge patio out front with heaters that are definitely needed for the colder nights. We came in as a large table without a reservation and was thankful that we got seated after about a 20 min wait. The apps (salads) did take quite a while to arrive- but after that arrived the mains come shortly after. The salads caprese and ceaser were as expected, although the size of the ceaser was huge as the caprese was tiny. In terms of the mains, the steak was a hit at our table, so was the pizza and octopus- there were really no complaints about the mains. The desserts were definitely a fail. The crème brûlée and the tiramisu def was not good and used the same crème in both. The best would have been the Nutella pizza. Service was fine. Not a must try but not a bad experience either!

Yelp
While looking for a great dinner and pizza place in Key West we stumbled upon Onlywood Grill. They have two locations. The small one is where they started. And the story goes that their lines were so long at that little place, that they later acquired the larger location. We dined at the newest and larger location and the atmosphere was beautiful. They have an outdoor sitting as well. Our waiter Alfonso was so tentative and friendly we felt like we've known him for years. For appetizers we ordered the octopus. We usually have doubts about ordering octopus because most places give you a very small portion and charge a lot. But when we got it, it didn't disappoint. It was fresh and the sauce was divine with it. My husband ordered pepperoni pizza which was delicious. Authentic wood grilled pizza. The dough was crunchy and soft. Simply a heck of a good pizza. I ordered a side salad with the appetizer wings. Wow, you must try those wings. Best I have ever eaten. The spices and their sauce... outstanding! We loved it so much that we returned the next night to have our 39 year anniversary dinner. My husband ordered the surf & turf and I ordered the two lobster tail dinner. We also shared a mushroom risotto. Alfonso (we got the same table again, and our waiter :), already knew what my husband wanted for drinks. And we felt again, the great 5-star service. Overall, we will definitely be back to try additional menu items when we are back in the Keys. Cheers to another great restaurant experience!!

Yelp
all great things to say about the food and service was good. our only hangup is there may be an a managerial "bait and switch" w/ respect to their wine list. we usually have a two strikes rule (regarding wine selection) and after the wine we chose as our first choice was rejected as not having it in stock and the second bottle had the same response, we asked to speak w/ a manager b/c the bottle (another server, not our server) recommended was a bottle w/ a $40 upsell price. when we asked to have a manager visit our table, it was a miracle, the second choice (nebbiolo) appeared or was "found" and it was appropriately priced. we feel this was a management driven strategy, hence the bait and switch reference. will definitely return but if you like and know your wine, be prepared about the tactic described above.

Yelp
Unfortunately my food was awful this evening... ;( Ordered a Capresse salad & it tasted awful - tasteless & as if it had been sitting in a fridge a few days on a plate! Also ordered chicken wing appetizer & they were tiny/ dried up & cold as if they were cooked previously & then left in a fridge a few days as well.. yuck ;( Cold- not even hot as chicken wings should be!! 1 glass of wine that was $9 as their happy hour price.. Wine was ok at least ... Ended up $41 & suck tiny amount of food portions that tasted cold & old- as in did it sit in a fridge several days ... old... ;( It was a waste of my money! I left feeling dissatisfied & hungry honestly ... ugh The pizza looked good there but as for what I was served & charged for tiny old cold tasteless food items... I'll never eat there again ! I feel ripped off!! Wish I could go back in time & had picked a different restaurant to dine!

Yelp
Great spot for dinner - sit at the bar by the open kitchen to watch the grill master work his magic. We got the Tropicana pizza and it was spicy!

Yelp
I tried here since we drove by it multiple times on the hotel shuttle. The happy house appetizers were good. Meatballs and fried mozzarella. I was excited about a lobster pizza until it arrived...there was no way it was lobster. It pretty much was imitation crab. Disappointed. Other guest enjoyed their pizzas. Two others ordered medium steak, and both steaks were very overdone and not flavorful or melted in your mouth. Tough to eat. Overall, minus the upsets, the food was good. Would order different items next time.

Yelp
An enjoyable Italian grill sitting near the marina with generous menu options and variety. We had some spacious indoor seating, and despite being next to the bar, it still felt somewhat intimate with the ambiance. It's not upscale romantic, but casual and dim altogether. The mozzarella fritta I started with was pretty generous in portion, almost the size of my entree. The gentle, crusty exterior gave each bite of the gooey mozzarella some excellent texture. Mozzarella was melted in such a way to retain enough fat and moisture to keep the mozzarella tasting fresh. A pretty good start. I ended with the Gnocchi Alla Bolognese. The three meats courted the homemade gnocchi's soft, absorbent texture, and had a hearty pork, veal, and beef flavor in each bite. Others in my party had a pork chop that was enjoyable, but one was also undercooked. The kitchen heated up the pork chop again, but it wasn't enough to fix it. HOWEVER, the staff was courteous enough to discount it kindly. The staff was great and offered recommendations and alternatives, and along with the pork chop issue they were very accommodating. We didn't wait long for the service or food. I had one of their cocktails, but like many cocktails in this city I found it to be lacking in alcohol content and tasted like I was drinking juice. It wasn't a terrible cocktail, but I wouldn't pay a cocktail price to drink juice. All together, it was not a bad experience. My meal was actually quite enjoyable and the staff was great. I'd most likely go again.

Yelp
Amazing food, service, and restaurant vibe! We have gone here 4 times out of our 10 day vacation because we just love the food! Especially great if not everyone in your family wants seafood (key west has a lot of seafood!) but the seafood here is also so yummy!

Alexis W.

Yelp
Favorite restaurant on the island. The quality was so good and the food was AMAZING. I highly recommend a pizza or pasta. Do not skip appetizers

Yelp
Pizzas are pretty good and the short rib pappardelle was awesome! Great food and a very lively atmosphere if you want a break from the typical seafood restaurants!

Yelp
Very pleasant atmosphere, beautiful fixtures and entertaining corner location with big windows on lively corner. Pleasant waitstaff with flexible menu willing to accommodate dietary choices. Food is above average.

Yelp
Absolutely horrible. Don't go here, save your money and time. Terrible service- server (Nicola) did not pay attention, was rude, and took forever to take our orders and get the check. He didn't talk to us the first 20 minutes of us being there while he chatted with his friends who were at a table behind us. Food was mediocre at best. Entree was $36.50 and was bland with small portion sizes, we tried 4 different entrees and all were bad. Ambiance was weird and not in a good way. Music that didn't fit, strange lighting that didn't fit, and was unwelcoming. Plus at the end when we finally got the check, they put an automatic 20% tip on the whole check when we only had 5 people. If I could give this restaurant 0/5 I would. Don't go.

Yelp
Paolina was our server. She was attentive to our needs. We ordered Happy Hour drinks; hubs had the Italian Job and I a Key Lime Martini. Both were delicious. He ordered off the Happy Hour menu with a mini pepperoni pizza (had great flavor) and I Gnocchi Bolognese (beef, pork and veal) both pictures of drinks and food attached. Only reason for NOT 5 stars was the restaurant was not cool!! Assume with the wood oven and open flame difficult to cool. Please come and try their food, so much more than pizza.

Yelp
This is based on a to go order and not dine in experience. The margarita pizza 4/5 was freshly made . I'm not a big fan of the sauce which also means the spaghetti 3/5 tastes same as pizza . Both my kids didn't like it which is odd as it tastes just like the chef boyardee I ate growing up. The chicken Parmesan 3/5 was breaded chicken with no cheese or sauce . My ravioli spinach 1/5 could use ALOT less oil. It was dripping of oil and I could not finish it . The lobster and shrimp ravioli 4/5 was good had a generous amount of lobster. Overall the price to value wasn't there for me .

Yelp
Great place. We had to get a quick dinner before our boat trip and the waiter accommodated us making sure we were done on time. Delicious octopus appetizer with a right amount of char. Perfectly cooked steak.

Yelp
Good food and service. They have heaters in the outdoor space when it's chillier. We liked the four cheese pizza.

Yelp
This restaurant has it all together. I've been to the Caroline street location three times in the past six weeks. This location has both inside and outside dining with decent spacing between the seats. Even with the high ceilings the noise level is not excessive. The bar has space for about 10 guests, and Justin the bartender is very attentive. The open kitchen aroma increases your hunger when you enter. The happy hour (4:30-6) menu offers a few very nice small plates. Score on the Aperol Spritz for $5.50. The Margarita Pizza brought back memories of a pie in Siena Italy. We've enjoyed the Meatballs, and Fried Cheese as well from the happy hour menu. On my non Happy Hour dinners our party enjoyed The Fettuccine al Pesto, Spaghetti al Pomodoro e Basiliso, Spaghetti al Fruitti di Mare. The side of vegetables are grilled perfectly. Asparagus, Yellow squash, Zucchini, peppers and Broccoli Rabe. All of the food 1st rate! Too full to order dessert. Most of the wait staff spoke Italian to one another, which add to the nice authentic experience. The menu has some non Italian items as well, if you want a steak or burger.

Crystal B.

Yelp
We had the pepperoni pizza with wood grilled chicken wings and thought both were delicious. The crust was soft but a slight crunch to it too! Great service and enjoyed our time.

Yelp
I am purely leaving 4 stars based on the food and service of the bus boy! If we could tip the bus boy instead of our waiter we would. He brought us water, refilled it, brought us bread and refilled our glasses and brought us the pizza we shared and cleared our table. Honestly, it felt like, because it's what happened, our waiter spent his time on patrons ordering alcohol. Our salad and pizza were thankfully tasty.

Yelp
Love onlywood grill my husband and I come here every time we visit. They start you off with bread and some oil oil and balsamic. Great margarita pizza, the pizza dough here is one of our favorites really has great flavor and texture to it. The sauce and cheese is top notch. I'm a sucker for ceaser salad and they have a great one you can easily share it and the lobster rav with shrimp A+ if your going to try anything I would recommend the margarita it will be one of your favorite pizza's EVER.

Hugh E.

Yelp
A great meal with family. Great food, service and atmosphere. Adding to the list of restaurants that we will return to in the future, when we are back in Key West.

Yelp
We were searching for a nice dinner spot with good reviews and a nice variety on the menu. We sided on here since we were going out for drinks after. The giant lot next to it is nice as the first 4 hours of parking is free (Idk if it was because of a weekend, but just a note). We got there at about 5 and I would say it was about 1/4 full. Our server was okay - I felt that for the price of the meal and the quality of the food, she could have been nicer/more attentive. She did seem slightly inconvenienced by us. For appetizers, we ordered the mozzarella fritta and the focaccia. The Mozzarella fritta was amazing; smooth cheese with a great fry on the crust and wasn't oily. Absolutely loved it. The Focaccia was a real loss for me. It was more of a round shape/thin crust pizza and not as dimpled or thick as I like, but the real hit was the "fresh herbs" because it was doused in rosemary like someone sneezed with the cap off. No one at the table could taste anything else and when you bite into it - the rosemary fell all over the table and my dress. I couldn't taste any other herbs. I wish I would have taken a photo because it was comical how much it just covered the bread. For our mains, we got a pepperoni pizza, spaghetti al pomodoro e basilico, branzino, and the tagliata toscana (skirt steak). There were three of us, but I got the steak for all of us to try because it seemed interesting and everything is wood-fired! Pepperoni pizza was great and the crust didn't sag. It was wood-fired, but not burnt so loved that. My pasta was amazing and would absolutely recommend - I ate it all. My boyfriend loved his Branzino and it was fully gone. The steak was also amazing and very tender. I would say that the side of Arugula and tomatoes is eh and it was most of the plate. I would mind a small serving of that maybe with some roasted potatoes or something, but it was just a lot and seemed unnecessary. I would absolutely come back and maybe switch some things around while ordering. If you can get sat by the windows - there is great people watching as well. It is a little pricey, but the quality of the food was good if you exclude the sauce-less rosemary pizza that is the "focaccia".

Yelp
*4.5 would probably be my true rating - will explain* After a long weekend stay in Key West, my husband and I were looking for something that had a good variety of menu items outside of seafood options or sandwiches/burgers. The shuttle for our hotel dropped off right next to this Onlywood location, so we decided to give it a shot after glancing at the menu before being seated. We went on a Monday night around 8:15ish and we were taken to a table right away. Given the option of indoor or outdoor seating, we chose the outdoor seating on the open deck. The lighting outside was low but not so that you couldn't easily read the menu. Our waiter was prompt in getting our drinks to us, but outside of taking our food order and bringing our check, we saw more of the individual bussing our table than our waiter himself. It may be that the restaurant has developed this service model purposefully, but as another review mentioned, I wish we could have tipped the bus service above our waiter. He got our drink refills promptly, gave us bread service, cleared dishes quickly, and was attentive to anything we needed. The food itself was delicious. We ordered the Tuna Tartare, which we really enjoyed. The flavor of the tuna was fresh and subtle without being fishy. It was accompanied by crostini and an assortment of toppers: jalapeño slices, diced red onion, capers, and house guacamole. I do think I came across a small bone in the tuna (something poked the roof of my mouth when I took a bite), but it wasn't large enough that I was able to tell for sure whether it was that or a piece of the crostini that broke off during the bite and got the roof of my mouth just right. Either way, the quality of the fish was great and I kept eating and would order it again. After the appetizer, we decided to share a wood fired pizza. The Forza Juve stood out and did not disappoint. It was a sauceless pizza with a truffle oil base topped with cheese, Porcini mushrooms, and shrimp. While it might seem the odd combination, we both loved it. The truffle oil was present in just the right amount to not be overpowering. The mushrooms had almost a meaty flavor but didn't mask the shrimp, which was perfectly tender. If looking for a non-seafood heavy menu, this would be a great place to try. We will likely be back on any future trips, especially if pizza is what we're after.

Yelp
I had a Cesar salad and pizza. Both were excellent! The Cesar was properly dressed. The croutons were crunchy and the cheese on top, tangy. My husband got the filet and Brussels sprouts. I tried both, which were okay. Not as good as I'd hoped for. He ordered the steak medium rare, but it came out medium, but my husband refuses to address when the temperature is delivered wrong. I want to believe the steak would have been more enjoyable, had the temperature been correct. The Brussels were a big bland. I tried a friends mushroom risotto. And I was not impressed. I love mushrooms and I love risotto, so I was really thinking it would be a win. But it wasn't. We had a large group celebrating a friends birthday. Service was good. Although we did mention separate checks at the beginning, and the server said he'll do it at the end, which then seemed very stressful and difficult for him. I wish I had taken more photos of the food.

Yelp
Truffle pizza was perfectly done! Congrats here! Service a-plus and outside dining was a dream garden. The lasagna was very poor with flavors and no bechamel sauce as mentioned by server. I'd stay with the pizza.

Yelp
Loved everything about this place. Great food, ambiance and staff. We had a large group with no reservations and they scrambled to accHighly recommend!

Yelp
We ate here twice. Pizza was fantastic. Lamb was outstanding. We had the large seafood platter, and saw it sitting for our waitress to deliver almost 5 minutes....he lobster tail and shrimp were understandably more rubbery from not being delivered in a timely manner, but it was still very good. Oh, she was delayed because, you guessed it, messing with her phone outside while talking with hostess.
google avatar

Lisabel M.

Yelp
The service we received was of the worst I have ever experienced. The waiter was instant to respond rudely when we asked for the signature dish, to which he responded "the menu is right there in front of you" when we tried to signal him for a question we had about changing our wine orders to a bottle instead of the two glasses we had ordered minutes prior he dismissed us despite being at the table next to us. He passed our table to return to the kitchen and then complained when we asked to see the wine menu after taking it from us, refusing to tell us of the price of their wines, stating "why do you need to know the price" and suggesting that we were on vacation. Having returned with family to share this spot with, I am beyond disappointed and will never be returning or recommending this location to anyone despite the ambience and appearance.
google avatar

Teresa S.

Yelp
stopped in during a rain storm. We wanted something besides fish. The food was great. the service....not so much. We are on vacation and doing all the touristy things. were we dressed to the 9? No. but the money spends the same. Our waiter completely judges us by how we were dressed. Shorts and shirts. Not trashy by any means. Our waiter spoke to all the tables that were "dinner dressed". Never checked on us. Our drinks were never refilled. It took forever to get our bill and for him to take the payment. I watched people get off the cruise ships dressed worse than us. We are actually well established financially and always over tip for great service. Especially when on vacation because we know how some people can be. the food was good, but sadly the service was alot to be desired. And for that, we won't return.
google avatar

Rebecca K.

Yelp
Still delicious. This place is a fun mix of upscale Italian and casual Key West. I added a happy hour menu photo as we happened to sit down before it was over. There are a handful of 1/2 price apps and some drinks are 1/2 price as well. We tried (for apps) the meatballs, fried mozz and wings. All incredibly tasty and we took half the mozzarella home- you can see the enormous serving in the photo! I've tried several pastas and pizzas here and have loved them all. This time - shrimp and fettucine with the house made pesto. WOW......Hubby of course had the sirloin and said it was cooked perfectly. Service is interesting but not bad per se. I enjoy the assistants coming around with the bread basket, tongs and oo/bv.

Yelp
Another visit that did not disappoint -- so very good, but again we ordered too much! Service was "okay" ... a little slow but nothing to get crazy about! Combo of fried zucchini, shrimp, calamari and SPICY sauce! Sautéed shrimp in garlic, oil, spices and crostini (basically a Scampi) appetizer! Branzino fish -- cooked perfectly, so much so that it did not need the accompanying sauce. Gnocchi Bolognese, AMAZING! CRAZY! DELICIOUS! DON'T SHARE!

Yelp
Food was good, Server was not very friendly. We were seated on porch with the view of the rear of the restaurant, where employees go out to smoke it was not a pleasant smell.

Mari M.

Yelp
Second visit since our trip last year. First visit was fine and food was fine too. But this visit was terrible. Horrible service. The waiter was pompous and rude and couldn't be any more annoyed with us even before we out our order in. We gave him several opportunities and asked if he was ok but he kept on being rude as can be. The staff was not welcoming so we took our business elsewhere.
google avatar

Mira P.

Yelp
Cool spot with fresh Italian vibes. We were very curious about their oven bake technique. We sat at the bar which has a small selection of seats. We started with tuna tartare, oven baked wings and ended with a seafood pizza. Their wine list was impressive but you also pay for their sommelier selections. If your into wine, this is a must spot to wine and dine. Service was great at the bar and efficient.

Alex S.

Yelp
Our waiter was only seen right at the beginning to bring us water and take our order and once at the end to give us the check. When asked how many slices the pizza had (we were hoping to share) we were told only 4 so we ordered 2 only to find out that was not accurate information and we were charged for a second pizza (which they are NOT cheap, or even reasonably priced for that matter) that was unnecessary and we wouldn't have ordered had we been given accurate information. The food was below average, it actually made several of us sick later that evening. The staff was standing around staring at us several giving us dirty looks as we ate which made us feel pretty uncomfortable . At the end of the meal we left a small tip but did not leave anything substantial as we didn't feel like the service and food warranted that. As we left the waiter chased us down the street yelling at us about not leaving him a larger tip. We would not recommend this place nor will we ever return to try it a second time.

Yelp
The other reviews detailing a bothered hostess were definitely on par. Not the best first impression, but the food was great. Wish they gave you more bread and the tables weren't so cramped. The amazing food made up for it! The made from scratch pizza and pasta were to die for. I would pass on the lobster bisque in the future.

Yelp
Lovely Italian restaurant situated near the harbor! In a sea of American food pubs, Onlywood stands out as a place that provides delicious, high-quality Italian food in Key West. I tried three dishes when I came with a large group, they were the caesar salad, bolognese, and burrata pizza. The salad was utter perfection--creamy and flavorful, I highly recommend it. My only wish is that the salad had more croutons. The bolognese originally comes with gnocchi but I asked for fettuccine instead, since that used to be on the menu and it looks good. The pasta was amazing, loved the fettuccine noodles. The sauce was very meaty, which was great. I had a slice of the burrata pizza and that was also very good. Honestly you can't go wrong with this place if you're in the mood for some elevated Italian food!

Yelp
3.5 stars if I could. This restaurant was located off of Duval street. We tried the Onlywood Pizzeria one night, and enjoyed it so much we decided we should also try this location. It is nice and spacious location, with a really nice patio. The waitstaff was very professional, especially considering some of the people at the restaurant had clearly had too many libations that day. But let's talk about the food! We had the gnocchi. It looked delicious, but to me it was undercooked. The Ribeye was done exactly as we asked for it. The dipping sauces were excellent along with the grilled veggies. I wish I had an opportunity to go back again, but sadly that is how vacation is!

Yelp
I read lots of positive reviews on Yelp about Onlywood Grill and dined there recently. My server, Giuseppe, was not the most pleasant and he appeared not to care about doing his job. He seemed to drag from table to table, half listened, and was nonchalant. I gave him my entrée order for Chicken Milanese cooked golden brown on each side with arugula and tomatoes on the side. When the plate was served, the tomatoes were on the side but the chicken was topped with arugula that was dressed. I let Giuseppe know that the order is wrong, he told me that I only ordered tomatoes on the side. He took the plate back and when the it was served again as ordered, the chicken had an odd taste as if the dressing used on the arugula had soaked in. I said the same to Giuseppe and he said you asked for Chicken Milanese and that is the taste. I told him, that I've had Chicken Milanese plenty of times and what I have tastes odd. He took the plate and after two tries I did not want to Chicken Milanese again. He returned with a menu and I selected spinach and ricotta cheese ravioli in brown butter sauce. The ravioli was light, the filling was good but the brown butter sauce was missing something but I muddled through. I finished the plate and was happy to have something in my stomach besides a half-eaten key lime pie from hours earlier. I must say that as the evening moved on, Giuseppe was greeted by fellow Italians and he began to loosen up. It was a good look on him. I would definitely recommend Onlywood Grill and for others to experience Giuseppe.

Yelp
We came here to grab some woodfired pizza, but as we looked through the menu, we thought we would explore little bit more. The Caesar salad was great for sharing at the table and perfectly executed. Upon the recommendation of the server, I work with the Veal Parmesan. It was on the bone. Veal Parmigiana on the bone. I've never had such good Veal Parm in my life. The pizza was also fantastic, would absolutely be back.

Yelp
Wonderful authentic Italian food. Pleasant atmosphere, good service, great food. The gnocchi bolognese was amazing, We also enjoyed the spaghetti and meatballs along with bruschetta. The marinated tomatoes and homemade mozzarella was delicious.

Yelp
Dishonest staff took advantage of a foreign guest. My brother who barely speaks English went in. He called me to translate to the server. I stated that he didn't speak much English and instead of taking care of him, the server Ivan took it as an invitation to steal his money. The server Ivan gave him the worst service then added 20% tip for himself without my brother knowing. My brother saw that the math did not add up and that he hadn't added the tip yet, he called me for help. I confronted the waiter on the phone and his response was "that's how we normally do it". The server wasn't able to show me anywhere that stated "20% gratuity is mandatory for dine-in." I asked to speak with a manager but he handed the phone to his fellow server who pretended to be a manager. It took me 20 minutes on the phone to get the mess sorted out. None of the staff either thanked my brother for the business nor apologized for their dishonest actions. This is very infuriating that no one showed any sign of remorse. It sounds like they do this to non-English speaking customers on a regular basis. No one at the restaurant took any responsibility. There are a lot of good, honest restaurants in Key West, no need to subject yourself to this awful place. If you're a foreigner just stay clear of this place.

Yelp
Best restaurant in Key West. We make sure our first and last stop is there. Not a bad thing on the menu and the hospitality is top.

Yelp
I wanted this place to be good. We had been passing by it and decided it was time to try. The hostess who sat us had an attitude to begin with which is when we should have turned around. We were seated almost on top of another four top table. We felt very intrusive with the way our table was situated. The waiter brought us Diet Coke that tasted off. Just to get a refill took more than you expect especially when we opened up the menu and saw the prices. Wow! What an eye opener. I had seen and read so many reviews of positive but this place is absolutely overrated!! We wound up splitting a 12oz New York strip. Oh they brought one piece of bread for each of us and shuttered when asked if we could have another, really? The steak was supposed to be medium and honestly I thought the steak was going to moo! It was adorable for a 12 ounce and oh no sides but two pieces of broccoli and one grilled tomato. I would be totally embarrassed to serve this for $56.00. If it were worth that, I wouldn't mind paying that, but the steak tasted freezer burnt. Just a huge waste of money. Never again for us!!

Yelp
Since returning to live in Key West again we've been revisiting restaurants we previously dined in. Also looking to try new eateries as well, we tried the Onlywood Grill on Caroline Street. Since our first experience with their pizza, we've been back 6 times in the last 2 months! Each time we explored different items from their varied menu and each time we were exceptionally pleased with our meals and service. Last night we entertained my old navy shipmate and his wife. We shared a meatball appetizer. Our guests loved it, I found it to be bland. For entrees, I opted for the orecchiette pasta with sausage and broccoli rabe. It was excellent and even better than my grandfather used to make it and he thrived on the dish. My wife had the snapper-filled ravioli. It was very good but it was a tad salty for her taste. It might have been the capers, nevertheless, she devoured the ravioli, pushing the capers and olives aside. My friend had the Cotoletta de Vitello alla Milanese, a huge pounded and perfectly pan-fried veal chop with arugula and cheery tomatoes. Ed shared a piece with each of us. It was outstanding and I will order it next time. I will NOT share it with anyone! His wife had the Fettuccine al Pesto. I've been making and perfecting my pesto for 40+ years and this was excellent.

Yelp
They were able to accommodate our group of 7 without a reservation in a timely fashion. Our server was excellent, recommending wine and meals. I know this is a pizza place, but the Tagliata Toscana was excellent!!! Our group tried the Maialona, essentially the meat lovers, great! Basic pepperoni pizza next, but nothing basic about it, great crust, sauce, and roni ratio. The big showstopper was their Vegetarian pie. Can't wait to try their other offerings.

Yelp
The view was great and my husband loved the steak! Haha. The rest was okay, but the view was definitely amazing.
