Onmi is not worth the expensive price tag - Review - Seattle - The Infatuation

"If sides are your main focus at KBBQ, you’ll be sorely disappointed at this Bitter Lake restaurant. Dishes like an oily potato pancake and a deflated egg soufflé take the fun out of covering the table in small plates. Despite that, Onmi works for a birthday or special occasion where spending $160 on a small meat combo feels reasonable. Along with high-quality marbled meats, the atmosphere helps sell the elevated feel, with black marble tables, shiny modern grills, and flames shooting up like a Vegas sideshow. And when the soju’s flowing, you might not even notice if a few menu items miss the mark. But for KBBQ spot with a more well-rounded experience and a lower bill, look elsewhere. Food Rundown Egg Soufflé There’s nothing “soufflé” about this dish. It’s dense, bland, overly eggy, and has a mysterious grayish tint. photo credit: Makena Yee Banchan The banchan options here are standard, but tasty. Particularly the tart and snappy pickles and sesame-dressed salad with tons of green onion ribbons on top. Potato Pancakes These floppy things wouldn't know crisp if it hit them over the head. And they’re oily enough to soak through a few layers of paper towels. Skip them. Kimchi Fried Rice This fried rice is good, especially with a glossy fried egg on top with a runny yolk to moisten everything up. But it leans more sweet and tomatoey than punchy and kimchi-packed. photo credit: Makena Yee Beef Bulgogi If you’re looking for bulgogi with a nice char and crispy bits, this isn’t it. It’s got a sweet marinade and plenty of soft onions, but it comes pre-cooked with your meat combo, so no sizzling action at the table. photo credit: Makena Yee" - Kayla Sager-Riley

Google
The noodle dishes are awesome and so are the broths. Found the meats for grilling too fancy and not Korean style. In a large strip mall. Second time we did no grilling and got printed Korean traditional menu which was the best in Seattle. Some of the noodles are so so but the Dongchimi noodle is amazing. The place is clean overall.

Absolutely incredible experience! Stepping into this place felt like being transported straight back to Korea — from the vibrant atmosphere to the authentic energy, everything was spot on. The Korean BBQ was out of this world — the meat was tender, perfectly marinated, and grilled to juicy, flavorful perfection. Every bite melted in my mouth. The vibe, the food, the service — all top-tier. 100% coming back again. Highly recommend!

Yeah this is pretty dead on what others say. It's not pricey if you stay away from the BBQ grill side of the menu... in fact with the non-BBQ food combinations I think it's very fair! There is complimentary rice!!! They don't charge you for rice, you just ask for it whenever you're out. I don't think the food in terms of taste is a standout compare to neighborhood joints like Hae Nam and Old Village and Hoonsooyi. Everything tasted really fresh and clean though. And I mean some banchan are so clean....the broccoli and eggplant side dishes tasted a little bit like soap?! Bossam was awesome - but it's hard to screw up bossam though. Not enough lettuce to wrap properly. Spicy bibim cold noodles are OK, more spicy than typical and on the blander side... we ended up adding saamjang to make it more salty. Banchan are just OK too. Wouldn't say there was anything standout. Favorites was fishcake and garlic stems. Our favorite of the entire meal was the rice drink dessert, Sikhye. That alone turned a tamed 3 stars to 4 stars. We will be back for one more try and hope for better results because ....yeah like what others say you can get similar or better elsewhere for similar price. We'll give this place another try to be fair. Maybe it's a one off.

Meat was amazing quality, and it’s so nice that they grill it for you - super attentive service and I loved the flakey salt + sauce combo. Banchan selection was the best I’ve had in Seattle, everything was so fresh and clean and it’s a massive variety. We ordered 1 meat portion for 2, the soy marinated crab, cold noodles and rose toppoki. It was actually a perfect amount of meat for both of us. Loved every bite especially the marinated ribs. If you are into quality over undiscerning quantity (like mid quality AYCE kbbq) this is the perfect spot. Worth the drive from eastside and can’t wait to come back.

My family visited ONMI for a Friday dinner, and it turned out to be a truly wonderful experience. The restaurant is brand new, yet everything already feels smooth and well-managed. We had a reservation, so there was absolutely no wait time. The moment we sat down, water and side dishes were promptly served, setting a welcoming tone right away. Ordering was quick and efficient, and the service throughout the night was attentive without ever being intrusive. A special shout-out goes to our cook, Khemon, who made the evening even more enjoyable. He was not only skilled at preparing the food but also incredibly kind and personable, which added a warm touch to the whole dining experience. Food is absolutely gold. We ordered small combo, everything was good. Highly recommend the corn cheese and daejang soup. Overall, ONMI delivered the perfect balance of great food, friendly service, and seamless management. Highly recommend visiting — we’ll definitely be back!

Google
My husband and I stumbled upon this place tonight just as I had been craving Korean fried chicken and soondubu! We got both and they were SO GOOD. The chicken was juicy and crispy, and I particularly loved the sweet and spicy sauce. The soondubu had great flavor and perfectly soft tofu—maybe could have used slightly more seafood bits, but also we were sharing. Our server was excellent (sorry I didn’t catch his name); personable and attentive without being clingy, and he brought out a delicious sweet rice soup at the end of our meal as a wonderful palate cleanser. This is a fantastic addition to our North Seattle neighborhood!

Google
I was thinking about trying this place and I’m glad I did! The restaurant is big and super clean, including the restroom. I ordered the Korean Budae Jjigae (army stew), and it was delicious — rich flavor with oxtail soup mixed in. The side dishes were tasty too. They even served Korean sikhye at the end, which was really refreshing. Definitely worth a visit!

Yelp
Hands down - the best Korean cuisine we've had in Seattle. You can tell right away from the banchan that the ingredients are very high quality. We'll come back for sure.

Yelp
Wow, this was definitely one of the best Korean bbq experiences I've had in awhile. After a very disappointing visit to Baekjeong Lynnwood, Onmi blew me away for what we had in Seattle. We ordered the small set which was definitely not small: - ONMI's Signature Prime Boneless Short Ribs · 꽃살 - Prime Ribeye · 꽃등심 - Prime New York Strip · 채끝등심 - LA Galbi · LA갈비 - Choice of Egg Soufflé or Corn Cheese · 계란찜 or 콘치즈 - Choice of Kimchi Stew or Soybean Paste Stew · 김치찌개 or 된장찌개 The quality of the meats was very good. Couldn't decide between the egg or corn cheese, so we ordered both and were glad we did. We also ordered mulnaengmyun which was probably the best version I've had in Seattle. Service was awesome although I will say that we ate early on a weeknight. Definitely worth a visit and cheaper than a flight to LA!

Yelp
Came with six people and ordered the large combo, pork jowl, & pork belly, best decision of the night. Everything was perfectly grilled, juicy, and full of flavor (also don't sleep on the bok choy kimchi). We couldn't stop eating even when we were full. The staff were super nice and kept everything moving smoothly. Great portions, great food, great time. Easily one of the best BBQ spots around. It is really expensive (total for the table after tip was about $100 per person) but we did splurge a bit on the drinks too.

Yelp
Located right on Aurora with plenty of parking although the entry to the plaza got kind of confusing. We were the first ones in for dinner on a weekday and they had plenty of seating. The decor was very stylish and the had the pull down vent which I had yet to experience here in Seattle. The staff was super friendly and was not only answering any questions we had, but was also conversing with us while we were getting our different cuts of meat. We got the Omni Small Package which was more than plenty for the two of us. The meat had nice marbling and was super tender after grilling it. They were flavorful and didn't need any sort of sauce as they tasted great just the way it was. The grill gave it a nice char as well. The Bossam was really good as well and we mainly got it to try and then bring home to eat at a later time and it was still just as good. The Spicy Radish complimented the dish very well. The Banchan/Appetizers (Corn Cheese and Kimchi Stew) were a bit lackluster the stew tasted a bit watered down and felt as though it were missing some thing and the Corn Cheese was a bit too sweet for my liking. Overall a really good experience.

Yelp
I have a gut feeling that this place will turn out to be like Niku Niku. Niku Niku across the way started off with the same concept where they charged an insane amount for a tiny bit of food. They soon realized this was not sustainable when no one was coming back and switched to an AYCE concept instead that was much more palatable and are actually thriving now. In any case, I was thoroughly disappointed by this place. Brought a group of 5 here and we ordered the large package ($260) that feeds 3-4 along with a side order of the pork jowl ($40). The server was supposed to cook all of our meats for us, but because there were quite a few other tables, he would cook one batch of meat and then it'd be like 10-15 minutes before he'd come back to cook the next batch. We eventually got fed up with this and just started cooking our own meat. I'd say his only saving grace was he was really good at coming back and filling up our side dishes and drinks since he didn't have to cook for us anymore. The pork jowl felt like highway robbery. See my picture for reference. We had already eaten half of it before I remembered to take the photo because we were so hungry, but that tiny amount was $40. I can get 3 platters of pork jowl for that price at Hmart and cook it myself. The meats all tasted pretty basic and were honestly nothing to write home about in terms of quality, with the exception of one. I unfortunately don't even know what cut of meat it was because the server didn't tell us what they were, but it did not taste fresh and had a weird bitter taste to it. I'm glad I only had 2 pieces of it but it was terrible. The steamed egg soup was also...just bad. It was way overcooked...to the point where I felt like the egg absorbed the flavor of the stone pot it was cooked in. It tasted bitter and spongy. First time that's ever happened to me. The side dishes however were all VERY good and I was impressed with those. We were also given a Korean dessert drink called "sikhye" that I really enjoyed. Reminded me of the one I had in Korea. That one is a plus that I would come back for. I wouldn't come back for the KBBQ again because of how expensive it was, but I might brave it another time to try out their non-KBBQ dishes.

Yelp
My friend and I came here right after they officially opened. We were impressed by their all stars reviews during the soft opening and decided to give it a try. Given how popular they seemed, I made a reservation. When we showed up, I was surprised to see only one table occupied other than us. It turned out that the other party seemed to know the staff so they were not random patrons like us attracted by the reviews. The front staff also seemed happily surprised by our visit, and asked me how we found out about them. This made me assume, with good reasons, that the great reviews for their soft openings were from friends and families... The restaurant was clean and upscale, with good services. However, their meat quality was nothing over-the-top, esp. given the hefty price, although still good. In addition, our waiter grilled half of our platter for us and he overcooked it, so my friend took over and did a much better job on the remaining half... one-line review from my friend: "my home cooking of meat from Metropolitan would've turned out better than this, with one-fifth of the price tag."

Yelp
Everything was so good - from the service, to the food, to the ambiance, seriously, everything! I was skeptical but after having eaten here, the quality of the food and the flavors are so impressive. The chef really know what he's doing! I really hope this place sticks around even though this location seems to have turned over a lot. You also know a place is good when you see Tom Douglas dining there at the same time ;)

Yelp
We came on a Wednesday evening and were delighted to see that we were just in time to order for happy hour. We started with the seafood pancake that came with the draft makgeolli as well as a couple of happy hour cocktails. For dinner, we ordered the spicy stir-fried squid as well as the soy-marinated raw crab. We were most excited to try the crab because not that many restaurants around here serve that dish, and wow! Very comparable to the quality that is found in LA, and the portion size did not disappoint either. At the end, we received a complimentary cup of sik hye, which was so delicious and refreshing! My friend and I were both pretty full by the end of the meal, and still even had leftovers to pack with us. As for service, we received wonderful service. Our server checked in on us continuously and was overall very friendly. I look forward to coming back and trying the BBQ next time, as well as their array of soju based cocktails!

Yelp
Came here for my birthday with a few friends. We ordered the large package ($260) and the pork jowl ($40). What makes this KBBQ different than the others is that they are supposed to cook all your meats for you. But they seemed to be short staffed or maybe still working out the hiccups as our server would cook one cut of meat and then it'd be like 25-30 minutes before he'd come back to cook the next cut. We eventually just started cooking our own meat. The table behind us started to do the same as we were there for hours at this point. The meats are supposed to be premium cuts of meat and they looked pretty good when they brought them out. But one of them tasted off, like it had gone bad and I ended up getting sick after eating there. But maybe also because the meat had been sitting out so long between cookings. The portions are also not big for the cost. The pork jowl was $40 and we got around 10 small pieces. There was 5 of us and we got 2 pieces each. The sides were ok. They had some sides that are not available at other kbbq places. The steamed egg was awful- would not recommend. It was salty and over cooked. The soup was fine. Their spin on a Caesar side was odd. The best part was the dessert- it's a family recipe of fermented rice water - sikhye. I've never had it before but it was pretty good.

Yelp
Found Onmi from Instagram and wanted to come here to dry the soy marinated raw crab. The crab was kind of disappointing. It was really salty and a tad fishy. But most other dishes were really good. We got the SOTTUKKEONG set for bbq, it definitely is more 3-4 people if you intend to order more stuff off the menu. It comes with a corn cheese or steamed egg and either a kimchi stew or soybean paste stew. We got the corn cheese and kimchi stew. Both sides were very flavored and delicious. Out of the bbq set, which had beef and pork, we preferred the pork options. The pork belly and jowl were outstanding, high quality pork. But the bulgogi and LA galbi was very average. The soy bean paste that they provide to go with the pork though, was super delicious. I suspect it is house made and so had a lot of extra flavor and goes super well with the pork. We also got a beef tartare, seafood pancake and bibim naengmyun. The beef tartare was excellent. The beef was super fresh and nicely seasoned. It went really well with the crispy. The bibim naengmyun was also delicious, the broth was very nice. Very spicy. Overall, Onmi was a very delicious Korean restaurant, but very expensive, don't order the raw crab but most of the other menu items were very good.

Yelp
Was excited to try this new spot recently, not having done the traditional Korean BBQ where they cook it at the table before. When I arrived I was given the choice of sitting on the BBQ side or the "cuisine" side. They have a different menu depending on what you order. So it is a bit expensive but the portions are huge. My friend and I shared the SOTTUKKEONG BBQ SET (serves 2-3). We both took home leftovers! Everything was so tasty though, especially the bulgogi. It was seasoned well. I didn't think the pork belly had enough flavor though. It was so fun to see them cook in front of us! Although the downside was that if we didn't take the meat off it would keep cooking while we ate. We had to ask for an additional plate to put the extra meat on. They did a good job communicating when it was ready and told us not to let it cook too long otherwise it would get overdone. Overall I would definitely come back here, but bring a couple more people.

Yelp
Came to Omni with high hopes, left with a full stomach, damage done on the credit card, and an ok experience. I found this place on instagram and was so excited to try the raw marinated crab, see the pretty ambiance, and try some meat! I was able to walk in with a party of three, which was great. The service was fairly quick, and the waiters were very knowledgeable about the menu and explained the different meat packages. The prices were $$$, and we ordered 3 different kinds of meat, the raw marinated crab, and a seafood pancake. The banchan (side dishes) were actually quite good. I was pretty disappointed at the raw marinated crab, it did not live up to my expectations. The meat itself was good, but it wasn't a WOW factor to make me come back again given the price.
google avatar

Gun H.

Yelp
This is currently my favorite KBBQ spot in Seattle. The meats are high quality, but what really does it for me is their consistently amazing banchan(side dish) selection. It's been slightly different each time, but always good. Everyone has their own kimchi preferences, but the way they do it here is the way I like it- on the fresher side(less fermented) with a deep red color. When I visited most recently, they added a meat package that includes both beef and pork. Most people will go for the beef-heavy options, but pro drinkers know that nothing pairs with copious amounts of alcohol quite like pork belly. They also have raw marinated crab on their menu which not many KBBQ places have in Seattle. Some of their other non-KBBQ dishes are equally as good like the mul naengmyeon (cold noodles). Little touches like the sikhye really round out the experience. I've noticed this place definitely getting more busy lately, but with a small party (2-4) you can usually be sat immediately at any time.

Yelp
We came here with a reservation at 8:45 PM on a Wednesday. We took advantage of the Happy Hour and ordered the seafood pancake with draft makgeoli for $20, and the assorted deep-fried platter for $12. We also ordered ONMI's small package for two ($160), the pork belly with aged kimchi ($60), and the soy sauce-marinated raw crab ($40). Everything was delicious! The raw crab was fresh and satisfying. However, we were disappointed that the pork belly with aged kimchi only came with three pieces -- which meant each piece of pork belly cost $20! The staff was friendly and helpful, especially with cooking at the table. The restaurant was clean and spacious. Overall, the food was flavorful and made with great ingredients, but we found it to be quite expensive. Parking was easy, thanks to the dedicated lot.

Yelp
GET THE SOUPS We came first for kbbq, seafood pancake, and naengmyeon, which was all ok but the kimchi jjigae was the real stand out. Amazing Came back because our server recommended the budae jeongol (army stew) and it was the best korean soup I think I've had in Seattle. Soo flavorful and for only $50, it could have easily fed 3 people. It came with ramen on the side so it wouldn't get soggy, and had soo many meats inside. I will be coming back to try all of their different soups, they've all been a hit.

Yelp
*A "MUST VISIT" Korean Restaurant in North Seattle!* Between the in-house sauces and custom creations, to the sleek/modern look of the interior, Omni is positioning itself to be contender for best Korean experience in Seattle. Yall know the drill, Let's get into the specifics. Food -- 4.5/5 I came for the BBQ, and generally don't experiment when I eat at Korean restaurants, but their wide array of appetizers, small plates, and soups were phenomenal. I just had to try some new things, mainly the sides and the beers (no Asahi, Sapporo, etc.) We got the small package, which is dinner for two, but it was more than enough for 3 when coupled with appetizers. THE MEAT WAS TO DIE FOR! Cooked to perfection (medium to medium rare) and it melted in our mouths! Out of all the meats, the ribeye was the clear winner for me. Also important to note that Korean fried chicken was an honorable mention! We ended up taking this home because we overestimated the amount of food. Service 5/5 All staff were friendly and attentive. I usually gauge this by whether I need to ask for more water. They made sure everything was going well every 5-7 min, and it wasn't bothersome at all. Our server also recommended all of our meals which I appreciated. Ambiance 4.5/5 The interior of this place feels so sleek and modern, like you're stepping into a high class club after hours. It was also quiet though. The bathrooms were also ridiculously clean and smelled amazing do their their fragrant fresheners. Thinking back, I should have asked where they got that from. The only downside to this restaurant is its location. Yes, the parking is abundant, but it's on Aurora Ave, and that area is known for being sketchy. There were even sketchy things happening outside as we walked in. This restaurant would thrive in a different area, like Bellevue or Kirkland. To the owners, please consider opening another location in the east side! ‍Final disposition‍ All in all, this spot is perfect for KBBQ lovers who want to have a one of a kind dining experience, and for groups who don't want to cook their own meals! 4.5/5 would recommend!

Yelp
Reservations are highly recommended if you want to do KBBQ. Service was very friendly but it seems like they are still working out some kinks as our meal was quite long and it took over 20 minutes before we even had water at our table. We ordered the Omni small package (serves 2) , Ala cart of the Pork Belly and Aged Kimchi, and dongchimi noodle. It was more food than we could finish with a group of 3. Pork belly was definitely our favorite but could have been cooked fat side down first get a better sear. The rest of the package meat was fresh but nothing that memorable. For the price point, we were hoping for something more standout. The bulgogi comes cooked and was our least favorite. Definitely recommend the cold noodles if you are grilling, it balanced with the meat very well. Improvements: Pacing of the meal-there was a lot of gaps in service and we didn't have any rice for the first serving of our meat. We didn't care for their sauce/ vinegar they provided and instead just wished there was sesame oil. Kimchi and cucumber banchan were very fresh but quite spicy (not an improvement but not everyone in our group could enjoy it). Overall, price point was a bit expensive to not love all the meat.

Yelp
Very nice experience overall; what a lovely addition to the north end KBBQ scene. Service was excellent; we made a reservation on Yelp (highly recommend doing that, it can get busy on a weekend in particular), and we were seated immediately. You can choose either to sit in the grilling area of the restaurant, or non-grilling side (with a different menu of kitchen-prepared foods). We chose to grill. That being said, the staff will handle cooking the food for you at your table, so either side of the restaurant can be relaxing. It just depends on what type of food you're interested in eating. Banchan was plentiful and had great variety - it was replenished instantly upon request. The meat/meal sets are a great value, albeit pricey. You do get what you pay for, though - we were very full at the end of the 2-person set meal. Meat cuts were delicious and well prepared; we added a marinated kalbi from the a la carte menu. Meltingly tender and delicious. Bulgogi was equally tender and tasty. We also enjoyed the buckwheat noodles and the kimchi jjigae (so much pork belly! And perfectly spicy). The persimmon dessert, and the cold drink that comes with it, are a refreshing end to the meal. Is Onmi as good as Meet? Food-wise, I prefer the protein selection at Meet (Onmi is beef-centric; Meet has pork, too - I am so partial to that jowl). Service-wise, it's a tie. I do love walking away not smelling of smoke, however, and Onmi has the superior set-up in that regard. The Onmi ventilation is excellent.

Yelp
Best Korean food on the north side, easily. Yes some dishes are stronger than others, but you will enjoy your meal. I just really appreciate how authentic and fresh everything tastes. You can tell they care about quality. I will travel here for the food when I want korean. Totally worth it!

Yelp
Amazing, if you ever wanted an upscale KBBQ experience, this is it. Honestly one of the best in Seattle right now in my opinion and blows Meet Korean BBQ out of the water (sorry you're catching strays). Came during soft opening and everything was so polish, it's clear they're ready to deliver. We were celebrating a birthday so they surprised us with this Korean seaweed soup. This set the bar high, it was so flavorful and delicious. Their Makgeolli is their own partnership with a spot in Woodinville. The one we got was unique and although a bit grainy, complimented the meal well. They do have a clarified version if you don't want the grainy texture. The pics of the meat speak for themselves. And if you're not confident cooking these expensive cuts, they were able to cook for us! As you progress through the meats and finally the ribeye, it gets better and better. Great marbling, amazing flavor, and just perfect mix with the sides. All the sides weee hitting which are unlimited. The package there serves 3-4 people finishes with a unique persimmon dessert and a light rice drink. Everything from start to finish hit the mark and definitely recommend. Great spot to celebrate or impress a date. I hope this place gets all the success they deserve as I haven't been wowed like this in a while. Be ready to drop some bank though, it's $260 currently for the package we got, so roughly $65-88 before tip and tax per person to get some luxury meat sweats you would lick off to repeat the experience.

Yelp
They charged additional noodles for our Korean army soup when we didn't order it. Other than that the food was good, my favorite was the quesadilla, chicken, stew, and pancake in that order. Good service, good banchan, complimentary dessert. I'd come back and give them another try.

Yelp
My table of four shared the SOTTUKKEONG BBQ SET (meant for 2-3), plus spicy-marinated raw crab, cold noodles, and Korean fried chicken. Honestly, it was way more than enough for four adults--we walked out with leftovers. The highlights for me were the pork jowl, LA galbi, kimchi stew, Sikhye rice punch, and the spicy-marinated raw crab. We also really enjoyed the cold noodles, Korean fried chicken, and TAKJU makgeolli. All the side dishes hit the spot--especially the pickled radish. Also, they were very accommodating for a big birthday group. The interior is bright, clean, and modern. Bonus points for their powerful fans--we spent two hours grilling away and somehow didn't leave smelling like BBQ. Service was awesome, parking was plentiful. No doubt I'll be coming back!

Yelp
We came here with high hopes, mind you we are on vacation from Southern California. Drove from downtown Seattle to this restaurant just to be extremely disappointed, so much so that we walked out. We walked in and not one person greeted us but 3 of them were standing at the bar area on the right. They were walking around and never acknowledged us. A little "hello or welcome just give us a bit" would have sufficed. After 20 minutes of awkwardly standing one guy calls from the bar area and asked "for two?" Sits us at the table in front of the bar with a table missing a chair on one side and he said we could scan the QR code. We waited for 40 minutes for someone to come and ask us if we wanted and drink or if we were ready to order. They were missing half the time and we got up and walked out. It's very expensive and for those prices I expect outstanding customer service which these guys have none of and are awkward. I would avoid this place and if you're paying top dollar there are many other places near by I'm sure.

Yelp
Everything was delicious. Expensive, but top quality food. The best part is you can make reservations ahead of time and there's a lot of parking available since it's inside a shopping plaza. Since it's on the higher end if kbbq, I'd come only on special occasions. My favorite dish: japchae. Overall, all the meats being grilled by the server was absolutely delicious and cooked to perfection (medium rare).

Yelp
This new restaurant is fantastic. Went in for date night and the experience did not disappoint. We had great service from the moment we walked in. Food was wonderful. Probably the best Korean bbq experience I've had. It is expensive (was about $290 after tip with one drink each, split meat combo for two, and one appetizer). That being said, will definitely come back. I think they said all the meat is local and rated at least prime which I thought was great. We felt well taken care of by our server Caesar! He was the best server I've had in a while! I could have done without the bulgogi in the set and more raw meat to have cooked!!!

Yelp
BEST KOREAN BBQ IN SEATTLE As someone who has eaten kbbq for forever, I have high standards when it comes to rating a kbbq spot. This place is an easy 5/5. Immaculate. Quality. Meats. The meat alone deserves the 5/5 rating -- additionally with tremendous and prompt service, a perfect spread of high quality banchan, fans that keep your clothes from smelling like meat, easy location with an abundance of parking, it's all a no brainer to give this place the praise it deserves

Yelp
We made a reservation for date night and were very happily surprised with our dining experience. The service was quick and efficient and offered good recommendations. We ordered the Takju makgeoli which we both enjoyed. It is locally sourced from a brewery in Woodinville. For our meal, we got the small package for 2 and the food came out quickly. The Kimchi stew was so authentic and spicy. My husband was most impressed with the meat cuts, which is also locally sourced. My personal favorite was the cucumber kimchi. We will be back with a large group of friends.

Yelp
Came here to celebrate my brother in law's birthday. It was fun, relaxing, decent food, and had friendly service. First of all, to set expectations, you have to come here knowing you're going to spend a bit for ambiance and food. Make it a special evening out. We had 5 people, and ordered the large Onmi meat set, kimchi pancake, gamjatang, and dongchimee noodles. That was more than enough food for 5 of us. Onmi meat set is pretty decent - great cuts of meat - filet mignon, New York steak, ribeye, boneless short rib, and marinated Kalbi. Honestly most of the cuts of meat were ok and just enough for us to have 1-2 pieces. However the marinated Kalbi was very good and had generous portions. A great set to share. Gamjatang was packed with flavor and pork and veggies. I loved eating it with rice though at some point after eating a lot of it it started to taste salty (strong strong flavors). Kimchi pancake had a nice crunchy crust - I liked it. Dongcheemi noodles was so refreshing at the end and the noodles had a nice firmness to it that complemented the cold refreshing broth. My favorite was the dongcheemi noodles. All in all - there were A LOT of flavors here and I really liked the food. Afterwards though I realized how salty everything was because my tongue is feeling the remnants of it even a day later. The food is worth a try and I imagine will only get better. Service is really great and very friendly. The one downside is that you bbq your own meat, which I thought was interesting given it's trying to be more of an upscale restaurant. You're on your own after they deliver the meat. Still we really liked our servers - so friendly so engaging. At the end of the meal, they bring you some dessert: a permission covered nutty sweet snack and shikkae - a sweet rice drink that I love. Ambiance is really nice. The restaurant inside is wonderful. Relaxing, large, spacious, good for groups. Parking is easy - lots of parking available in the commercial center. Bathroom is very clean meaning the kitchen is very clean! All in all, it was a decent good restaurant and we enjoyed it. The food, service, and experience was better than I expected after reading some reviews. If you really like Korean BBQ, and love dishes with an explosion of flavor, and you're willing to pay up for it - this is a great place to try.

Yelp
We were exploring this new K BBQ restaurant and it did not disappoint! The food was great, service was prompt and helpful. Since it's quite new, it does not (yet, hopefully ever) that glimy, stuffy feels that old K BBQ restaurants might have. Prices are definitely higher, but I'd come back for the food and atmosphere :)

Yelp
Stumbled upon this new restaurant because the wait times at Niku were too long and I'm so glad we did. We ordered the Jungsik Package which was more than enough food for two people and provided for a well-rounded meal with soup, noodles, beef, fish and potato pancakes. Given that we tend to be indecisive, I really enjoyed that it allowed us to get a little taste of many of their menu's highlights. I found the japchae to be a bit salty but aside from that, everything was delicious. They serve 11 different banchan and they were all fresh and well executed. I will say that the service was pretty slow and our server didn't really check up on us. They were on the busier side and they're relatively quite new so I feel like they're still working out the kink on the operational side. Irregardless, everyone was friendly and I'm sure service will speed up as they get the hang of things. Overall, we'll be back as this is easily some of the best Korean food in Seattle.

Yelp
Way too expensive, not planning to go anytime soon. Enough said. Can get similar food at better price

Yelp
Overall food was pretty solid quality. We came on a weekday and it was pretty empty, no wait. However I hear on weekends it can get really busy, and reservations are encouraged. We had 4 ppl in our group but didn't do the Large beef combo and ended up with choosing 3 meats a la carte which turned out fine. The only thing we wish the team would've done is give us a heads up about last call as a courtesy to their customers. Everything was going pretty well, until we tried to order more and we were told "we're closed" and the dishes start to get cleared off our table as we are still enjoying our drinks. Other than that, drinks were solid, the place is super clean and spacious, our guy Mike took great care of us, really nice guy! We'll definitely be back for more.

Yelp
Listen to the advice, don't go, it's nothing special, there are two ways to go: barbecue or order dishes. Today I went there for the first time and wanted to try barbecue. There are not many menu options and the price is OK. I chose a $160 set meal for two people, which includes three kinds of meat (short ribs, ribeye, NY strip), kimchi soup (or bean curd soup), steamed egg, bulgogi, salad and side dishes are included. When the meat came, I thought it was just the first wave, but the waiter introduced that this was all. I almost thought I ordered wagyu beef. There were six pieces of meat that were not much bigger than a baby's fist, two pieces of each, no seasoning was added, only salt, soy sauce and bean curd sauce were given for dipping. The quality is the Prime level that Costco can buy. The clerk said that this portion is equivalent to ordering two servings of meat. Their meat costs 50-60 per serving. The kimchi soup tastes too strong and sour, and it's not tasty. The steamed egg is OK, normal level. The bulgogi is only sweet and the meat is a bit sandy, which I don't like. The fish tofu balls in the side dish may be the most delicious thing. The service is OK.

Yelp
Food is amazing, very authentic and good ingredients. The sauce for everything is delicious, and the kimchi is out of the world. This review is for the servers. Please treat your servers better, because they are tired and not willing to be a good server. A few of the employees are great only because they are amazing people - it is clear you don't treat your staff or pay them well. The service here was terrible. The 비빔냉면 was so overcooked we couldn't eat it. We won't be coming back. Niku feast across the street is better.

Yelp
We got the 2 person combo, and it turned out to be more than enough for our three person party. I was skeptical because the place was almost empty, and the combo price was surprisingly high: $170. Also being from Southern CA, I have high standards for Korean bbq. But I was pleasantly surprised. The meat quality was very good. And the banchan was even better. I could taste that they were made fresh. The steep price was worth it my opinion because you could taste the care they put into making each item. I'll definitely be back.

Yelp
This is an excellent new place for Korean BBQ. Grand Opening was around March 2025. Run by a Mother and Son duo. The space is open, clean and modern with plenty of parking in front. Full bar and expansive menu. We opted for the Mother's Day special BBQ. Plentiful and diverse ban chan to start. Excellent purple rice as well as a special rice with dates and butternut squash. The Wagyu A-5 beef was excellent as were the short ribs. An added bonus was our server, Mike, doing the cooking for us. Japchae, mushroom soup, seafood pancakes and chicken wings were added to our menu and all were excellent as well. I give it a 10 out of 10 for every category. We will be back with friends.

Yelp
We randomly discovered this place after finished shopping at Amazon Fresh, and we've been back twice within the month. All their dishes were really good, and the side dishes are all homemade. Their beef is especially flavorful and tender, even our toddler was able to chew through. We also loved their homemade rice drink at the end. We'll definitely come back to try their BBQ at some point.

Yelp
Good service. Great food. Bit pricey but worth it for a good occasion when it comes to the bbq.

Yelp
I made reservations for 2 for dinner Saturday night. We were seated right away. We ordered the large meat combo and it didn't disappoint. The food came out quickly and the staff was really attentive. They helped us cook the meat and told us what cuts we ere eating. The meat is high quality and cooked to our liking. The sides were house made and tasted fresh. The meal also included bulgogi , Kim chee stew, egg soufflé, salad and rice. We were stuffed and ended up taking the boneless short ribs home. Another plus, the restaurant has excellent ventilation. We didn't smell like BBQ when we left.

Yelp
Absolutely fantastic evening at this restaurant. Our server, Nick, was excellent! He cooked our meal perfectly with great table side manor. My boyfriend and I have been to Korea a couple times, and we both agree the food was authentic, high quality and so yummy. Will definitely be going back.

Yelp
We had a great experience at Onmi during their soft opening and will definitely be back. We started off with the kbbq set, which included NY strip, filet mignon, boneless short rib, and ribeye cap. The meat was fresh, with wagyu-like marbling, and each cut was high quality. The kids absolutely loved the meat and couldn't get enough, they kept asking for more. Always a plus when the kids eat well. In addition to the kbbq set, we tried the marinated boneless short rib, one of the best I've had at a restaurant... along with pork belly and aged kimchi, which was also really good. They even change out the grill for you so that you can grill the kimchi with the pork belly. We also had the kimchi and potato pancakes, both were delicious, though I personally preferred the kimchi pancake. The dongchimi noodles were refreshing and paired perfectly with the grilled meats. Oh, the kbbq set also came with kimchi jjigae and Korean steamed egg soufflé. The kimchi jjigae is good enough to order by itself and has that deep kimchi flavor. The banchan (side dishes) all tasted great and comes with refills. For drinks we had Terra (Korean beer) and Saero (soju). They have a good selection of Korean beer and soju. Will have to try their cocktails and makgeolli next time! We wrapped up dinner and with dessert and sikhye, both also very good. Beyond the food, the atmosphere and service were top notch. You can tell the they put a lot of thought into the small details, matching the dinner experience with the quality food (keep up the good work) 5/5 we will most definitely be back.

Yelp
10/10 would recommend Space is very clean, modern and stylish! Definitely an upscale kbbq experience. Very well thought of interior from the marble tables to the top grade grill+vent. While cooking it was never too smokey and I didn't leave smelling like kbbq which I loved. I even was impressed by the quality of the chopsticks! Tons of parking in the plaza as well which is always a plus. Food was excellent the top tier cuts of meat were delicious and so fresh! I would come back even just for the banchan (sides) because they were so authentic it paired perfectly well with the meats. The kimchi alone is by far the best I've had, amazing kick of spice to it. Also tried the pork belly soup which was so flavorful and the dongchimi (cold) noodles that was so light and tasty had the right amount of acidity and sweetness. Truly a chefs kiss meal, will definitely be coming back! Service was great, very kind, helpful and attentive staff!

Yelp
The vibe here is super chill and lively, and the staff made you feel right at home all night. I tried the onmi's large package and wow--the meat was incredibly fresh and juicy. There were plenty of cuts to choose from, and every piece was bursting with flavor. The marinades were on point, and the sides really nailed that authentic Korean taste. If you're up for a fun spot with amazing eats, this place is definitely worth checking out--I'm definitely going back to try other dishes.

Yelp
Amazing food and service! We went with the 'Cuisine' menu and ordered nearly everything on the menu lol. Everything came out impeccable! The staff went out of their way to help create a memorable experience for me and my family. Highly recommend for those seeking high quality Korean cuisine!

Yelp
Best KBBQ in Seattle!! Great service, quality meats, and amazing vents that don't leave your clothes smelling like smoke. Thank you so much to Jimin and her crew for helping us out, everyone go check it out
