"Tucked away in a quiet alley, Onyva—meaning “let’s go” in French—embodies the chef’s vision of a relaxed, welcoming dining space. While rooted in French cuisine, the restaurant creatively incorporates Korean ingredients to present distinctive flavors. A standout dish is the buckwheat galette filled with grilled eel, with crispy ginger and caramelized onions adding extra texture, depth and a subtle ginger note. The six-course tasting menu is the standard offering, but after 9 p.m., à la carte options paired with wine are available at a more accessible price." - Michelin Inspector

Really nice and mild mix of French and Korean food. Recent Michelin recognition will definitely help the business. I would come back again since they change the menu as often as fresh new ingredients are available in the market. Really good food, too bad there is no window to allow outside view…

Every dish was exceptional. The host was friendly and welcoming but also very knowledgeable and spoke perfect English. Nice ambiance. My standout favorite was the sesame ice cream dessert—I've never encountered flavors like that before. If you're looking to try something unique in Korea with a French twist, I highly recommend visiting this restaurant.

We found the restaurant on the Michelin guide. As it was our last evening in Seoul before traveling back to France, we wanted something special. Onyva was a truly exceptional experiencing, blending Korean cuisine with French classics. We had their tasting menu offering, and added one entrée each on top of it which were a ceviche and a conch sea served with sourdough bread and butter & garlic sauce - simply delicious. The service was also outstanding, with great attention to detail and explanation of all the dishes. Whilst we didn’t order any wine bottle, I must also add that the restaurant has an extensive wine list and wine cellar. Regarding the atmosphere, we ate a the comptoir. I was pleasantly surprised to find a lot of space, and you have a direct view on the kitchen. Finally, the staff and owner are all very friendly. We chatted for a bit and she recommended us a couple of places and museums. Thank you to the team again for making our last night in Seoul so special !

A calm, passionate team producing a beautiful experience with a unique blend of local ingredients. If The Michelin Man hasn't honoured the place yet, he can't be too far away...

I highly recommend to bring riesling or fruity pinot noir that goes really well with today's bar course menu. The dishes are full of creativity inspired by korean food.
