"Owned and operated by husband-and-wife team Jason and Tiffany Gonzalez, this multi-roaster coffee tasting room offers a weekly rotating menu of single origin coffees. Jason trained under three-time UK national barista champion, Maxwell Colonna-Dashwood at his award-winning shop, Colonna & Small’s in Bath, UK, and has won numerous barista awards himself. The couple brought their passion and knowledge of coffee from the UK to Burlington in 2016 when they opened Onyx. The Gonzalez’s ethos is to treat coffee like wine, honoring its “terroir.” In short: Guests of Onyx can expect to experience unfettered roasts that exhibit unique flavours." - Heather Platt

The barista who I think is the owner was so sweet. Fantastic coffee, a good space to meet up to work. Would love a gluten free treat option, I'd definitely be a regular if I lived in the area. My friend loves their cappuccinos

Great coffee spot! It's a chill spot that serves light bakery items as well. We were visiting the area and read great reviews about Onyx Tonics, and decided to try it out. "The coffee was quite literally the best coffee I've had in my entire life, and I'm from Portland, Oregon," what my girlfriend said. I'm a coffee enthusiast, and this was by far the best coffee I've had. The service was great, and we sat and enjoyed our coffee.

hands down the smoothest cup of coffee and the best coffee list in the area. the fact that you can choose between multiple espresso options sets it apart, but the product is really what does it for me. everything i've ordered from onyx has been so smooth, so well executed. they always have a line out the door on weekend mornings and yet (table!) service is always fast. lately all weekend pastries have been sourdough (i think from slowfire?); they're good but sourdough pastry all kind of tastes the same so don't expect a ton of variety there. but i respect that this place knows what it's about and does it well. blows other popular coffee options in town (yes, even that one) out of the water in terms of execution

This is a quaint little shop with a great selection of coffee and espresso. I opted for an Everything Nice Latte and it was, well, nice. Great flavor, not too heavy on the cinnamon, and was all around good. Not the best coffee I've had, but it was delicious enough to add to my list for when I frequent Burlington. I also had a chocolate croissant. It was very fluffy inside with a good crunchy exterior. The dough has this nice blend of sweet and slightly tangy, making for a wonderful croissant. Chocolate was a little too bitter, but didn't ruin the experience. Definitely worth the purchase.

Ordered the maple latte with oat milk. Loved the espresso they used and the maple wasn't too sweet or too bitter. This is definitely one of the best espresso roasts I've had in a long time. They also added some latte art, I was too excited to try the coffee to take a picture.

The coffee was absolutely delicious. We got a pour over and a cold brew. The baristas were well knowledgeable and the service was impeccable. The ambiance in this coffee shop was on par to the coffee shops in NY. 10/10, would return!

I’m going to be dreaming of that biscuit cinnamon roll forever and this was the best coffee hands down our whole trip 😍
