Come see the friendly crew at Oozlefinch!!! They are serving up some great beer - the food trucks are not bad either. I personally have not had a bad beer here. Very popular place make sure you come early to get a seat especially on trivia night.

Google
We had our rehearsal dinner here last weekend and it was a dream!! Everyone was so helpful, kind and accommodating to all our needs! I love going here, but I DEFINITELY recommend trying Oozlefinch out for a yummy flight, great atmosphere and a place where you feel right at home 🤍 They also have small businesses that come out to sell some amazing products/food, so it is 110% worth coming to experience! Thank you again Rebekah, Bria and the rest of the amazing team here for making our night awesome!

Google
Oozlefinch has a wide variety of sours and traditional beers. They are in a great location, and a very nice building. I have been coming to this location since they opened. I'm not really sure what happened. It seems that in the past year, the overall quality and service has decreased significantly. I hope that this downward trend reverses course in the future. I still recommend giving Oozlefinch a visit.

Google
Really liked our first experience here. The beers on tap were delicious and the staff was very friendly. The facility was clean and very dog friendly!! We really liked the location next to the water with a few small food trucks! Would definitely come here again!

Google
Great little brewery in a nice location. Hidden gem on Fort Monroe; you have to make it a point to go visit, which I highly recommend. Walking distance to a quiet beach and the brewery has a lot of things for people to do; softball, bean bags, racket ball, etc. Great view from the outdoor seating and there are a lot of varieties of beers to choose from.

Google
This place was lovely with great service and delicious beer/hard soda! It IS outside, so there can be flies/bugs, so be prepared for that, but that is not their fault. Beautiful view of the sunset. Bring lawn chairs in case it’s busy or you want a better view of the sunset. The food truck (Pitt County) was delicious and an excellent addition. Highly recommended!

Google
This place was happening! After a day at the beach, it was recommended that we try this place...pretty cool location out near Fort Monroe. They have a large grassy area where people were hanging and playing yard games. They do have a little patio area, with a stage, where it appears they may have live music. There was a food truck, where you could grab some grub. Lots of beers to choose from and all seemed yummy. They do have a small inside seating area as well. Lots of parking. Good hang out, grab a bite and some brews.

Google
Fun for the whole family. Super friendly staff, clean premises and delicious beer!! Wide open space for sitting, running, cornhole, Frisbee and much more. Umbrellas provide shade over comfortable seating. There's inside or outside seating. Outdoor heaters during colder months. Most gorgeous view of Mill Creek separating Fort Monroe from Phoebus. Beautiful Sunsets daily. Most importantly, the beer is tasty and served ice cold. Food trucks typically line the property, or at least one a day!

Yelp
One of the best, funkiest and fun brewery out there. A must try for the creative craft brew enthusiast.

Yelp
We really thought this place would be great. Awesome view of water. Good light beers. Then we went to check out and were reminded that ignorance is still very much alive in the south. The person I was with has a long name but we told Jason the short version so he could find it. He was like "ooooh, is it this long name?" We said yes. He could've stopped there, but he continues to laugh as goes on to butcher the name. Wow. It's one thing to be ignorant, but rude and disrespectful was unnecessary. Jason already found the ticket so there was no need for him to attempt to pronounce it while laughing in our faces. I'm sure Jason doesn't think about his white privilege and how his ignorance of different cultures can be offensive. This was our first time here since moving into the area and this is how we were treated. Once again, we totally understand some people are uneducated and not used to names of other cultures or maybe can't read well, but there is no need to laugh about someone's name in their face. Jason should be ashamed of himself. And this isn't about being too woke or sensitive, it's about learning how to read and pronounce names so you don't make people feel uncomfortable. If someone can't read it, don't laugh and butcher it. Maybe ask the person how they pronounce it. We went to a bar after and told the people there. They confirmed this is normal behavior for Oozlefinch. I know it's the south, but white people aren't the only ones living here so do better to treat everyone with respect- not just white people with simple names.

Yelp
Cute lore, food trucks outside were absolutely delicious. Bathroom is clean. Boozy cream soda beer was a fun experience.

Yelp
Headed to explore the beach and whoops! there's a brewery. Quick detour to try the beer. Two IPA's which were pretty good. I think they specialize in sours, as they had a lot. Might stop back and try a sour flight as I'm not a sour drinker, but I have found a few I like. Right at the water side, we watched some sailboat races. They have a food truck outside. Plenty of indoor/outdoor seating. Wheelchair friendly.

Yelp
We were on Ft Monroe for the first time and discovered a brewery sign and found this gem! Outside and inside seating, dog and kid friendly, stage outside with bands, tons of great brews and fantastic service. I loved the Hazy I had and my hubby had the orange ale. You can see the water right from this spot and plenty of parking. We'll be back for sure!
google avatar

Christine H.

Yelp
This place is a gem! This is probably the only place I've been to where I've ordered a pastry sour ale and loved it. There are so many flavors of the beer and you can see how they put a lot of effort to make each and every beer distinct. The vibe is great inside too. It seems like they have great programming and the ambiance is great where it's not too loud nor quiet. I'd definitely go out of your comfort zone and see whether there is something you wouldn't ordinarily order.

Yelp
Oozlefinch Beers is a brewery in a unique old military base, could be confusing when you're following directions on your GPS. We've been here several times because it is a good central location for my husband's coworkers to meet. The beer is okay and the staff is average. I wouldn't come here out of choice but they have a lot of events here; we also came for an oyster roast. They have a large outdoor area with a small stage for live music and a food truck. I don't go out of my way to come here unless there's another event going on so I'm sure I'll be back. The positive is that there is tons of parking but be careful when you're leaving because the traffic outside this area is insane! Especially if some road are closed.

Yelp
Lots of friendly folks working here. Everyone, including the dogs, seem to be enjoying themselves and their beverages. It was a bit out of the way, or off the beaten path, but the location was a very nice place to relax and take in the last of our afternoon VA warm(er) weather. This brewery has many taps, and you can easily find something you like the taste of. I've not found too many red ales around VA, but I did find one here that hit all of the notes I enjoy. They don't serve food here, but there was a food truck parked next to the brewery - I'm guessing there are many food trucks that want to park here given the amount of food traffic stopping in for a refreshment in the afternoon. This one is our list as well when are heading toward Norfolk or VA Beach.

Yelp
We visited Oozlefinch on a whim while visiting the beach at Fort Monroe and I'm so glad we did! The service was quick and friendly. I got the orange slush and the boozy grape soda and my significant other got the party dinosaur. It was all delicious! There was a bbq food truck there and it was also really good! There is a beautiful view of the sunset and a stage for entertainment when scheduled. We truly enjoyed our visit here and will be coming back!

Yelp
Oozlefinch- a casual indoor/outdoor brewery on an old military base. We had a great time! They have a large variety of drinks, from your basic Pilsner to a funky frozen beers/sours. My friend got a drink she swears tasted just like a lemon bar. There isn't a ton of seating outside, but plenty of folks brought lawn chairs and set up camp underneath shady spots. There is also a food truck onsite. Inside, they have a huge board with weekly events written out but I sadly didn't get a picture. They have trivia, group runs, even drag brunch! My biggest critiques are that the line to get a drink is QUITE lengthy, and they absolutely need to invest in more flight boards. The first time I stood in line it took 20-30 minutes to get a drink, (and they were out of flight boards), and my second drink took 15 minutes or so (again, no flight boards).

Yelp
Saw the name and had to stop by! Unique location and interesting beer menu can be found here. I had the Das Yummy Pear Apple Pie, which nailed the flavor. My partner got the Sloshie - Tropical Fruit, which was also delicious. Service was a tad slow, although there was an event going on outside. It looks like a very cool hangout, and dog-friendly to boot. I'd definitely want to come back to this one in the future.
google avatar

Mya T.

Yelp
Service here was great. Beertenders were attentive and kind. Loved that there was outdoor and indoor seating with a local food truck nearby. This place truly has some interesting beers on tap. I tried Das Yummy-Peach Cobbler, Party Dino-Blueberry Pineapple Almond, Das Yummy-Banana Cream Pie, Boozy Orange Soda, and Mint Over Matter. I thought all of the drinks were good, my favorite being the peach cobbler! Wish there was flavors like this near me.
google avatar

Alexandria K.

Yelp
Great place with good beers and hard sodas. They do have food trucks come out there. Only tricky thing is that you need to look ahead of time and see what is going on over there and when the food trucks will be there! Other than that the ambiance is very welcoming and fun! They're also dog friendly so that is a plus. The service was amazing as well as they were friendly the entire time
google avatar

Mary R.

Yelp
They have plenty of sours! Not really a sour fan but I thought I'd let you guys know lol. I ordered a black lager which was phenomenal! Light and easy to drink. Plenty of outdoor space. On busy days I would recommend that you bring beach/lawn chairs or a blanket. You can sit at the bar and they have a few indoor sitting area. Bathrooms are available and always clean. Stools for the kids to reach the faucet for a good hand wash. Changing tables are also present!

Yelp
Second time back at Oozlefinch, what an awesome brewery with an awesome selection. Great atmosphere located in a warehouse setting, all the work in full view. They have a wall of 14 taps and plenty of canned beer as well. Eric made some great selections today!
google avatar

Matthew M.

Yelp
Recommend bringing camp chairs to enjoy the lawn facing Mill creek. Also, this place can get very busy, so bring patience and some snacks. The staff is friendly and works hard, but not much to be done about long lines. You won't go wrong with a sour here. If you are staying for a flight, mix in some of the NOST beers - they are excellent. Also, don't be afraid to try something new. I asked for a "wild card" choice on my last flight and got a seltzer. Not normally a fan of seltzers, but Oozlefinch does them well. Just the right balance of flavor, sweetness, and fun.

Mary-Ann L.

Yelp
What's nice about this brewery is not only what it offers inside, but it provides for an area of open space where folks can enjoy the day, scenery with plenty of benches to sit and relax and enjoy beers of choice but also to walk around the flea/farmers market and area food truck food!
google avatar

Junior L.

Yelp
One of my favorites. Oozlefinch is located in Ft Monroe in what I describe as a nice open field area surrounded by water and parks. The atmosphere feels very chill, and local. The one thing I really like about this place is the service. The beer staff is very fast, and very friendly. Even though this place can get popular, I am never waiting a long time for beer, and I'm okay with that. I am a mug member, which is worth it if you go often. You get your own cool mug that is kept on site for you to use, and I get a percentage off my tab. They have a constant ever changing variety of beer but like the boring guy I am, I get a beer called the Lady. It's an Italian style beer that just does it for me. Dog friendly, people friendly, food truck friendly, live music friendly. Well done.
google avatar

Libby F.

Yelp
The variety is certainly vast. If I had the time and money I'd try many others, but I stuck with the conventional IPA that I like. I went with the Love Ya Buddy. It was really good, also one of the cheapest 16oz pours. I was feeling full after just one. My friend had the Pilsner. They have very unique ingredients in their brews such as marshmallow, graham cracker, lemongrass, and blue raspberry snow cone syrup. Many contain lactose. We went on a Friday afternoon after visiting Fort Monroe. We were the only people on the patio. We did go back to Fort Monroe two days later and the patio was packed on that Sunday afternoon (I guess folks were at work on Friday). Their taps are always being updated as noted from my photo of the beer menu from a week earlier. I wish they had bar food other than popcorn. Then I would definitely have a second beer.

Yelp
After brunch in Hampton, my friends and I stopped by Oozlefinch Beer and Blending. They specialize in Sour Ales, Boozy Sodas, Porters/Stouts, Ales, Lagers, and Fro Beers. They had over a dozen on tap. It was a nice variety. It was a hot day, but we were lucky to grab a high top inside. My friends shared a flight of beers, including Positive Premonition, Lady, Party Dinosaur, Boozy Grape Soda (which reminded me of Welch Sparkling Grape Juice), and Boozy Cream Soda. My fiancé had 16oz of Positive Premonition. This mixed fermented wild ale was aged in oak barrels and dry hopped with El Dorado hops. It was strong, fruity, sour, and quite acidic. I enjoyed a flight of sour ales, including Das Yummy Key Lime Pie, Party Dinosaur Blueberry Pineapple Almond, Das Yummy Pear Apple Pie, You're Guanabana See This, and Sloshie - Tropical. Among the ones I tasted, I liked the first three, and my favorite was Das Yummy Pear Apple Pie. My fiancé loved the You're Guanabana See This.

Yelp
Take note - they have created a new brewing option that they're working on called Nost. I'm very glad that they are though. While I do love me some Oozlefinch, I think that some of their options are going the path of super cray cray. Sometimes you just want a good, solid, clean, beer to drink. Oozlefinch beers are delicious but sometimes you don't want to pucker your lips every drink. Enter Nost - while they weren't up and running with Nost when we arrived, I'm hoping they will in the near future. I look forward to tasting all the options as they have a very good brewmaster. Either way, the atmosphere and the space out here is always top notch. They have lots of live music, chill people and just a very relaxing atmosphere. Seriously, the dog life, good weather, and a lounge chair are all you need to know (and bring). I look forward to seeing how this place grows and will always have my chair ready to go! :) Food Taste: n/a Overall Service: 5 Value of food to cost: 4 Facility: 5 Repeat customer: yes Dog Friendly: yes

Yelp
We stopped by during lunch time. We sat outdoor seating. They have many sour beers which is my kinda place. I had Don't be weird. I loved it. It has nice kick to it because of spices. We also ordered pizza delivery from Mama Rosa's Italian restaurant. The guy at the shop is super friendly. This is highly recommend for craft beer lovers.
google avatar

Ashley K.

Yelp
I've been to better breweries. And in the Hampton Roads area, too... The seating outside was nearly nonexistent; so much so that, many people brought their lawn chairs. The inside seating was ok but, we were lucky to find a place to sit at all. My husband and I ordered two flights consisting mostly of sours. Most of these were thick like a smoothie and overly sweet. Definitely not like any sour we've ever had before. For $44 for 10 5oz beers, we probably won't make our way back here anytime soon...

Yelp
Love this place. I immediately ordered one of the IPAs since I didn't look at the menu and I usually like them. I had just eaten lunch and it was a little too heavy for me so I ordered the Christmas seltzer. It was nice and refreshing. The bartender tossed my IPA and didn't charge me for it so that was nice. As I was still browsing the menu I saw they had a Baja Blast seltzer so I asked to try a sample of that. Holy hell. It was amazing. It was even Baja blast green! It tasted like coconut and pineapple and all kinds of delicious goodness. It said it was a pastry seltzer so I asked what that was. Apparently their seltzers are made with real fruit and not just the essence of fruit. You can def tell the difference and it's amazing. I've told everyone about this seltzer. It's across the hrbt so that's a little iffy but I def plan on coming back and I'm ordering all the Baja blast seltzers.
google avatar

Julie T.

Yelp
I always like coming here. I love the fruity or marshmallow sours here. They have IPA's too and they have live music. Parking is rarely an issue as they are in a fort, island like location

Ryan E.

Yelp
I love sours and this place had six!!! I think the legend of the Oozlefinch was fun and the bartender was super helpful with finding other local attractions. Sat at the bar with some local which was a great experience. If you love sours you have to check this place out!!!

Yelp
Great location and beer selection. We loved the ambiance of this distillery and service was decent. Will return for sure!

Yelp
Ok, so we took a trip to VA Beach to relax and hit breweries. Our first stop was at Bunker Brewery, where we had a can of Das Yummy Banana Cream Pie (it's odd you go to a place for their brews and end up loving what's in the can more from a different brewery). In fact, our entire brewery trip could've ended with just two stops after our trip to Bunker: Oozlefinch and Big Ugly. My girlfriend loved Oozlefinch so much that we decided to hit them on the day of our departure from Virginia Beach, almost missing our flight. That's saying something. Folks, this place has amazing sours. The silly nilly and Das Yummy Banana are MUSTS! Crazy pants and Das Yummy Lemon were also right up there. Certainly best sours I've had. If you're coming here, get a sour! I don't recommend the Really Thin Pancake. Probably most disappointing part of my trip is that all the stouts I had were horrible. They did have the taproom closed but plenty of outdoor tables with a nice view of the bay. Inside bathrooms were open too and a food truck provided options for eating. For $5, they would also setup a fire pit for you. Love their mascot (we bought two shirts and I ordered more as a surprise for my gf). Plus my gf has already visited a local place here in GA and bought some Oozlefinch beers. Clearly we will be following their progress. Will be back again!

Lisa K.

Yelp
After visiting a few times, this is DEFINITELY one of my favorite breweries. The staff are so friendly they feel like family. The beers are well made, the food trucks they schedule in are always great, and the weekly activities always makes me want to go back. Put this brewery at the top of your list! They're very pet friendly, staff service is wonderful, you'll never have empty glasses at your table, and the sunsets off the water are unmatched.

Yelp
Things I love about local HRVA breweries: craft beer, great vibes, live music and dog friendly establishments. Oozlefinch is no different, but it does offer something some of the others can't. Location. Located on Historic Fort Monroe, there is nothing quite like enjoying a beer outside and watching some live music with the sun setting. This place is a winner in my eyes. Yes, the lines are long at times to get yourself a beer - so what? Get two at the same time, it's a no brainer! And more to the point - what is an Oozlefinch I hear you ask!? Well, legend has it that one night a Captain (possibly under the influence of beer) swore he saw a large-eyed strange bird outside the Officers' club on Fort Monroe. His story spread like wildfire, and soon enough the creature became the club mascot referred to as 'The Oozlefinch'. And the rest is history. Reader, sightings are still seen... so drink responsibly and tell your friends about the bird and the local beer.

Yelp
If you have not been, I encourage you to go. Ft. Monroe and the beach there are awesome. But Oozlefinch is exceptional! I've been to many breweries in and around the tidewater area and they give them all a run for their money! The service is excellent and the drinks exceptional.

Patrick V.

Yelp
This is our favorite brewery. To be clear, we really enjoy sours, and that they are dog friendly inside and out is a big plus. Staff is knowledgeable and people are friendly. They typically have good food trucks (Flame and Pie is our favorite). Can't beat the location when the weather is mild.
google avatar

Yelp
First time popping in after a run at Fort Monroe, and I was thoroughly impressed. Even on a Saturday before noon, the bar was backed by three friendly tenders. They could see it was my first time, and asked if they could help or offer a taste. I had their most recent release and purchased a four-pack to go. Instead of having me have my cold beer to go on the counter, they tagged it and put it in the back cooler. The beer was delicious and cold, and the service was outstanding. The only drawback I could see was there are two entry doors, and one looks as though it leads to the production area. It's not enough, though, to dock it a star. A great little find!
google avatar

David T.

Yelp
We visited this brewery yesterday while on a trip to Hampton, Virginia to visit our son. The staff was great and helped us find a brew that we liked. The beer was all made on the property, so very fresh and very tasty. They Fro-Beer! It was really good! Frozen beer. The place is really cool with the giant beer fermenters and tanks. They have large retractable doors that open up to a patio. Most people had dogs and there were quite a few children out there. A food truck provided snacks to have along with your beer of choice. It is set near the water and a great place to watch a sunset!

Yelp
Great little brewery in a nice location. Hidden gem on Fort Monroe; you have to make it a point to go visit, which I highly recommend. Walking distance to a quiet beach and the brewery has a lot of things for people to do; softball, bean bags, racket ball, etc. Great view from the outdoor seating and there are a lot of varieties of beers to choose from. The service was exceptional for recommendations, quickness of service, and busting tables, efficient system!

Yelp
No trip to Fort Monroe is complete without a stop by Oozlefinch. Unsuspecting from the outside this powerhouse of a brewery has brews on tap you won't find anywhere else. Their Mandarin Marshmallow Milkshake style IPA is the best brew I've ever had, hands down. Although Oozlefinch has a good amount of indoor and outdoor seating I highly recommend making a reservation if you want a fire pit or showing up early for indoor seating if it's a Friday or Saturday night. Awesome staff and good vibes have me excited for my next trip out to Fort Monroe to try "Punch Yourself" a new punch style brew with rainbow sherbet.

Yelp
What an interesting brewery! Nestled right in Fort Monroe, this is a must try if you're passing through. We decided to give Oozlefinch a try on our drive from Williamsburg to Virginia Beach. I was really looking forward to it because I see Oozlefinch cans offered in local grocery stores, and now I can say that I've been! The drive through Fort Monroe is so picturesque, and they have a great location overlooking the water. There's also plenty of parking. Only comment I have about the space is I wish they had a trash can outside. We brought our pup along (yes, they are doggie friendly!), and after picking up his "business" we couldn't find anywhere to throw the bag away! I didn't want to bring it inside, so we wandered around until we found a big garbage bin outback. Once inside, a man behind the bar gave us a quick rundown and told us we could order down at the register. Looking at the menu was a little overwhelming, there's so many choices! I need to meet whoever comes up with the combinations. This brewery is definitely a sour-beer drinkers dream, but not so much for all my IPA lovers out there. The two women by the register were so friendly and helpful! We were totally lost, but once we told them what kind of beers we normally drink, they were happy to give us recommendations. Also heads up, if you start a tab they keep your card (pretty standard at breweries now). I ended up getting the Imperial Saison Ale with black mulberry, white mulberry, wildflower honey, vanilla and lactose. It's not something I would normally go for, but a nice change of pace. It tasted more like a spiked juice, but good nonetheless! My husband got the "DO A WIPA, Make Em' Dance" a White India Pale Ale. The names are hilarious! Unfortunately, it was super cold and windy so we didn't get to enjoy the outdoor area. But we did brave the cold to try the food truck on site! We will definitely come back the next time we're in the area, and I think this would be a really fun place to visit during the summer!

Yelp
Dangerous place because they got so many good fruity beers that have high alcohol content than the regular beers. And they are yummy!!!!!! Make sure you check the weather and stuff when y'all decide to go. Bring some lawn chairs and mosquito sprays!!!
google avatar

Rick O.

Yelp
They have a good outdoor space and patio. The beers are very exotic, unlike most places you'll go. They remind me of smoothies. Came here with my parole officer.
google avatar

Ryan L.

Yelp
Quite possibly the weirdest selection of beer I've seen at a brewery. There are several to choose from and definitely a place to get a sour since most of the selections are sour beers. They have others and the selection is definitely off the wall. Great place inside and weekend events outside. The band was great and there were a ton of people with their own lawn chairs just having out. Cost per beer was a little higher than most but you definitely aren't going to find another place with the weird selection they have here. Worth a trip to atbleast check it out. Never know what pairings you will find here!!!!

James W.

Yelp
My favorite brewery! Great beers, very friendly staff, such a laid-back vibe! Bring a lawn chair and your pet and totally relax outside w a water view! And as an added bonus the food trucks are delicious! Highly recommend!
google avatar

J L.

Yelp
I'm a fan of sours and their beers deliver, interesting tastes and names. I love the ones that take a life of their own after the pour. Nice location too. I won't ever pass up on Oozlefinch the next time it's available in California again.

Dan W.

Yelp
Great place to meet up with friends, try some different brews (I dig the Bourbon Barrel, but I gotta drive). Dog friendly which is a plus. Skrimpshack was on-site to provide good food. Decent and attentive staff. *watch your speed, Casey Jones...they're everywhere!

James K.

Yelp
Amazing place. There's a shift lead there named James who is absolutely amazing. The owner Russ is great when he comes around. The managers Bria and Bekah are awesome too. The beers are amazing. I love this place. The setting is great whether you want to hang out, bring your dog, socialize ect. It's an amazing place and the owner definitely fits his jeans well.

Yelp
Finally got the chance to visit this spot. There's a lovely view and I appreciated the sour selection as well as other options. The indoor space is small but they have a great outdoor space to enjoy a lovely summer day. Cheers to many future visits.

Yelp
The Oozlefinch Craft Brewery YOU MEAN TO TELL ME THAT THIS HAS BEEN RIGHT HERE IN MY BACK YARD FOR YEARS, AND IVE NEVER BEEN?! Well that's all about to change now! The Oozlefinch Craft Brewery was the start of my bar crawl this past week and it certainly will not be the last! Located on Fort Monroe Beach typically opened from 11am until 9pm Sunday/Monday/Tuesday, 11am until 10pm Wednesday/Thursday, 11am until 11pm Friday/Saturday. (757) 224-7042 is the number listed on their service menu; I'd definitely call to check their hours this upcoming Monday (Martin Luther King Jr. Day) hours might differ. Okay now that you're in my back yard, let's talk about how great not only the beer is but such a great atmosphere and eye for decor! Though this place doesn't have a house kitchen to serve their guest food; often when the season picks up, food trucks and dogs are allowed! So this place has a super friendly policy serving some great people. Seeing this place on not its best day allowed me to completely visualize the absolutely joy and fun on a hot summer day with family and friends in such an awesome friendly environment. Picturing a nice weekend bringing your furry friends and family. Enjoying some cool lawn games, rocking out to live music, eating from an outstanding local food truck just before jumping into the beautiful bay. Fort Monroe you have hidden the Oozlefinch secret from me long enough! It's time I blessed the community with this solid estate of Lighthearted Pleasure. This is by far my favorite bar this month and if you're in the area you must checkout this remarkable location. Did I mention again how striking their craft beer is!? I mean, what great adult fun!

Yelp
I can't believe I had never heard of this brewery before, but I'm so glad we made the drive out to hang on a Friday night. There was some kind of special racing event going on which hosted far more people than we could have expected. We waited in line for at least 20-30 minutes before getting to the bar to order on this particular night. The line wrapped all the way to the back, so we regretted not grabbing a menu sooner to check out the brews. Thankfully, I found that their website was pretty much fully updated so we were still able to take a look before getting to the front. Once we finally got to order, my boyfriend and I each settled on a hazy pineapple IPA. You're definitely paying some higher prices for the amazing location by the water, but it was well worth it because all of the beers we tried were delicious. When we went back up a bit later (this time, a much shorter line) I got a cherry-almond blonde and he got the apple and carrot smoothie-style beer "Party Dinosaur"--they have some unique flavor profiles to say the least! I really enjoyed the vast options they offered and the abundance of outdoor space. The live band was pretty good, but we were happy to have found a spot under some trees a bit farther away to lay out a blanket and stay a while. The atmosphere was energizing yet relaxing at the same time, due to the vibrant crowds but availability of space to get away by yourselves, closer to the water. I would love to go back and try some more of their unique brews.

Yelp
I freaking love this place!! I'm kind of glad it is a bit further out from me, to keep me from living here. First of all, the outdoor space is absolutely perfect. Stunning location and lots of space to do as you please. They even have a baseball/softball/kickball field, on top of the corn hole section and lots of tables to hang out while you enjoy your beer. Food trucks are always aplenty. And we've been lucky enough to be there on several occasions with live music as well. Of course, since it's a brewery, they've got plenty of them - and none of them to this day have been less than amazing. Land of sleeping eagles - barrel aged sour petit saison - definitely my favorite to date. Something I prob otherwise wouldn't order, but since it happened to be for a good cause, I got it and was pleasantly surprised. Already excited about some events they've got coming up when I will definitely make the drive and have some more great times!
