Where to find the best Hawaiian restaurants in Las Vegas | Eater Vegas

"Several varieties of poke are made fresh every day, with tender chunks of ahi tuna and salmon combined with spicy sauce, mild marinades, and sweet and salty drizzles. Order your choice as a bowl on as nachos made with crispy wontons. For something more filling, go with the ahi katsu." - Krista Diamond

Walking into Opulicious Poke & Plate Lunch in Las Vegas felt like stumbling upon a slice of Hawaii right in the heart of Las Vegas. Super cozy with the Hawaiian vibes. The atmosphere was laid-back and inviting. Staff was delightful and helped us understand the menu. We have tried several theirs the most favorite and the most popular poke bowls, everything was delicious and prepared tresh. The serving size was generous & flavors were outstanding. Their poke bowls were the real deal - packed with flavor and enough to fill you up. It's definitely the spot to hit up when you're craving a taste of the islands in Las Vegas, no doubt about it!

My barber recommended this place since I had to hit the outlets for some shoes. Typically I wouldn’t come out this way for food living in Summerlin but since I was in the area and craving something I hadn’t tried before I stopped in. Vibes were great, it was quiet, could have a conversation. The guy that took my order guided me through making my bowl. Ended up going with a poke bowl, greens since the doctor says I gotta avoid the carbs and I got the spicy mayo and shoyu tuna. Both were amazing and the greens were super fresh. Definitely will have to make a trip back out here.

Google
Delicious poke and great service! We stopped by here for lunch since we were in the area and I’m so glad we chose this place. The food was absolutely perfect. The poke tasted fresh and the rice was cooked perfectly. I love how you can customize the sauce on each protein on the poke bowl. The staff here are so incredibly patient and kind. It was some of the best service I have ever received. I’ll definitely be coming be coming here again!

This was one of the best meals we’ve had on our trip, seriously sooo delicious and so filling. I’d highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Vegas. The staff was also incredibly lovely and welcoming, making the entire experience even more memorable. Everything was 10/10 💫

I have lived across the street from this place for 5 years and today is the first day I went in. The food was INCREDIBLE!!! Staff was too! HIGHLY RECOMMEND

We enjoyed the food at opulicious. The cashier was open to sharing his favorites and told us that he liked the garlic salmon belly the most. This was the best dish we ordered. We also got the garlic shrimp and smoked pork and they were solid. Definitely recommend checking out for some quality, affordable food.

Oh My Gosh!!!! So happy to dine here. Been here a couple of times and both times I left with my opu happy. TIP: When you enter into the parking go towards the Opulicious sign and go on the right side of the building. 2nd Tip: Check out the menu on the wall and order at the counter. It felt so good to be in a restaurant playing Hawaiian music and of course I teared looking at the photos / decorations on the wall. #Exit8 #WahiawaGirl4Life Food: Spicy Tuna Poke Shoyu Poke Garlic Chicken Smoked Pork Meat. Here's my 2 favorites. The spicy tuna is like no other. The poke is fresh and I love the eel sauce (hope it was eel sauce) drizzled on top. We also had the shoyu poke which was good but I prefer the Spicy Tuna. The garlic chicken was good but my favorite was the smoked pork. The meat was tender and very flavorful. I loved every bite. Overall, this restaurant is in my top restaurants I've ever dined at.

Don’t forget to grab a dessert before you leave if you got any room left lol the li-hing mui ice pops are 🔥 we’ll definitely be back to try more of the menu! -The Fatu’s

Yelp
We wanted to check out Opulicious Poke & Plate Lunch. We arrived around 1:15pm on a Friday . They had a late start so unfortunately they were out of most of their pre-made poke flavors but they could make more if needed, though they had limited amount of salmon poke left. Unfortunately, they didn't have the squid Luau, or lau lau. Sadness But they had other dishes to make up for it. Also, soda fountain machines was broke. Only canned/bottled soda or Hawaiian Sun drinks. Hawaiian house music. Indoor air-conditioned seating only. Two separate men & Women's restrooms. *Combination Plate: mac salad, steamed rice, pastelle stew, garlic chicken. The mac salad is different as they use spaghetti-like pasta. The pastelle stew is seasoned well and hearty. The garlic chicken was deep-fried to a golden brown and had a nice crunch to it. Though, it was a bit over-fried so the chicken was dry. *Salmon Furikake: teriyaki sauce, furikake, & onions (4/5). Flavorful, yet it doesn't overpower the salmon. *Ahi Limu & Ogo: salt, onions, inamona, oil, chili, limu, ogo, Aloha shoyu (4/5). The tuna was fresh and subtle. Reminded me of Hawaii. It's a small family business and connected next door with Da Hale Bar & Grill. Support your local business.

Yelp
I was hungry for some Poké machos and found this place on Yelp! They did not disappoint! Good portion! Good price and tasty homemade nachos. Small little place but the food was good! I'll be back for more nachos!

Yelp
I'm so lucky to live close to this restaurant. Get their poke and garlic chicken. You can eat there or take it home. You order at the counter but they bring out the food to you to the table kind of service. The only bad part is that they close at 5. Come check this place out and support locals!

Yelp
This is 100% my favorite restaurant in all the Las Vegas! the most delicious Hawaiian style pokey and seafood you can get. The value is amazing and everything was delicious! Super friendly family owned restaurant shout out to Curtis, Aisha, and the family. Mahalo!

Yelp
If you're in the mood for tasty Hawaiian food, this is the place. Service was top notch friendly and patient. Food was excellent. Out of our 4 day trip to Las Vegas, this was our best dining experience when it came to flavor. So good we returned a second time before we caught our flight home. Again, the food was amazing. Their poke was so yummy but our favorite was their chicken Furikake and rice plate. It was freshly made upon ordering. The portion size was filling but the taste was to die for. Definitely will recommend and return here on our next trip back.

Yelp
I am so mad at myself for not trying this place sooner! I was so impressed not only by the quality and amount of food, but mostly by the kindness of the staff and excellent service. My favorite things were the katsu tuna and Mac salad & my husband said it was the best poke bowl he'd ever had. We will be back soon!
google avatar

Yelp
2nd time coming here passing through. Unbelievably good. Some of the best poke i have ever has in my life and the staff was super kind. I don't ever leave Yelp reviews, but man did this place deserve one.

Yelp
Over the weekend my boyfriend, kiddo and I tried opulicious! Let me tell you the food is absolutely flavorful and makes you feel like you're on vacation on a tropical island listening to the waves crashing over the rocks! The facilities could benefit from a quick refresh, other than that the food is a solid 9/10
google avatar

Yelp
The Food here is amazing. You always get service with a smile and the food is on point. This is the place for you whether you like Poke, some authentic Hawaiian garlic chicken, kalua pork, or Lau Lau. The ambiance is great with really nice decor and they have the hits of island reggae playing while you eat.
google avatar

Yelp
Wow. Best poke nachos in town. I've been dying to come here since I hear all great things about this place. I got the tuna poke nachos! I like the wonton chips that went so well with the poke. The poke was bombbbb. I'm very picky with poke here in twin but this checked all the boxes. Fresh fish and sauces were on point! The ahi tuna katsu and the garlic chicken were good too!! Seasoned and crunchy. Not too saucy. Perfection. Service was quick! Staff was friendly. Chill ambiance. Just casual.
google avatar

Michele M.

Yelp
We have visited before however, like always the food is truly amazing! The service is always friendly and with true aloha spirit! It always feels like you're back home! If you have not tired Opilicious before don't hesitate to stop in! It is GREAT!
google avatar

Yelp
Location of the place is perfect near my home, my job, and places I frequent nearby! The inside of the restaurant reminds me of home with the local decorations and of course the good grinds! The customer service is always warm and welcoming. Always accommodating too. The food was onos! The aloha bowl which is Lau Lau and whatever choice poke you like. I always choose spicy mayo and the whole bowl I eat all and not leave anything left. Then my husband gets the garlic shrimp and steak. He said the plate is the best he ever tried and continues to keep ordering the same plate. He said the shrimp is battered right and the steak is cooked to perfection. This is our 4th time within 2 weeks span ordering from them.

Yelp
Food is always ono when we come here but I will say the one time we dined in, it wasn't even super busy but our food took forever to come out. I recommend ordering ahead and just taking out to eat at home. Otherwise the garlic chicken with the spaghetti Mac salad is a go to of ours and their poke tastes just like Hawaii poke.

Yelp
We were in the area after shopping at the outlets. We typed in restaurants from Yelp and decided to come get some plate lunches like back at home. We're in Vegas on vacation, gave us the feeling of being back home. The cashier/owner/cook was a local braddah, super nice guy. Lots of food for a reasonable price & all of it was delicious!
google avatar

Yelp
Satisfied!! We've been past this restaurant many times and happy we stopped in after getting the boy's haircut in the same shopping center. Thank you for the delicious meal(s) of Ahi Katsu and Poke bowl of salmon with Cali sauce and tuna with Hawaiian sauce. We also took home two spam musabi for the other boy and girl at home. The service was great and vibes were positive! Feeling the Aloha;)

Yelp
Excellent authentic Hawaiian place. First thing I noticed when receiving my order was the heft of the box. The combo plate did not lack in terms of quantity and for under 20$. The food tasted amazing. The poke nachos were fresh and I got the spicy Cali so there was a slight heat to it but not oppressive. The wonton chips provided the perfect platform for the poke. The kalua pork was tender, juicy, and flavorful. And the garlic chicken was moist with a light crisp and enough garlic to provide depth but not too much to be overwhelming. Highly recommended. I will be coming back.
google avatar

Yelp
Another great visit to Opulicious. We got a couple of delicious dishes, and there were no leftovers. As usual, great service. I noticed a mix of people dining in and picking up to-go orders.

Yelp
What a chill island style restaurant! As we walked in, they have photos on the wall that take you back to the lovely state of Hawai'i! Friendly and welcoming. The menu is clear to see as it's posted high on the walls via their tv. They have photos of some menu items to give you and idea of what the meal looks like. Let me tell you, you will not be disappointed. We ordered the Garlic Chicken,, poke bowl, and poke nachos - half shoyu and half mayo, you can choose whatever combo you want from their options. The portions are a good amount so you are full but not stuffed beyond finishing your meal. The wonton was fried just right - perfect crunch, lite and airy, melt in your mouth kine! The poke, was WOW in your mouth, the flavors exploded! I've never had poke nachos this delicious and I will definitely be going back for more and more and more! I highly recommend you check them out if you haven't been yet. This little family owned and operated joint will not disappoint

Yelp
Every trip to Vegas I come here multiple times. I love their shoyster ahi poke, but always have a hard time deciding what to get because their garlic chicken is also delicious. This time I got the ahi shoyster poke, lomi salmon, and kalua pork over rice in a bowl and it satisfied my craving. I saw a picture of their salmon katsu & am definitely getting that nexttime. The staff is very friendly, helpful, & patient. On top of being consistent, the food always comes out fast. Great place to bring friends and family, sit down or takeout!

Yelp
Great place for quick easy lunch! GMonkey do: ALOHA POKE BOWL- choice POKE(shoyu), LAU LAU, LOMI LOMI SALMON So many choices POKE! Maybe take a minute to decide bumbye hold up da line. Served over perfect rice, portion just right to prevent midday kanakattack! AC work good in summer heat, enough seating for lunch crowd. GMonkey wish for later hours to pickup poke after pau hana traffic. Helpful, friendly, reliable service and free parking.

Yelp
First time stopping at this place during my lunch and let me say....BEST POKE BOWL I EVER HAD! I will definitely come back!

Yelp
Best Authentic Hawaiian food you can get in Las Vegas. Service is done with Aloha %100. Place is clean and you get to listen to contemporary Hawaiian music. Love this spot. If you ono for Hawaiian grinds look no further.
google avatar

Cleo Ann M.

Yelp
My Hawaiian friends highly recommended this restaurant. Went today and was totally disappointed. Laulau too salty and cold. Macaroni salad is really spaghetti salad. Lomi had too much onions. The Teri chicken tasted like shoyu chicken. Will not be back.

Yelp
It's my last full day in Vegas before heading home to Hawaii, so of course, I had to stop and pick up garlic salmon belly and poke from my favorite spot for lunch. Yes, I know that Zippy's just opened yesterday, but I can get that anytime back home, but I can't get this tasty garlic salmon belly anywhere but here. The salmon is cut into pieces and served over a bed of white rice with a small side salad with a mayo dressing. The salmon skin is crisp, and the belly is wonderfully moist and tender, with the unctuous oil from the belly fat. I can't seem to get enough of it. Also, their poke is the best in Vegas, imo. I've had poke from many places here, but no place comes close to their combination of taste and freshness. My go-to is the spicy salmon poke, but I ask them to cut the white onions because it can take over the taste of the salmon. So satisfying, and I'll be thinking about it until my next trip here.

Yelp
Staff were friendly. Service was quick. We ordered, then sat down and a few minutes later our food was brought to our table. Other patrons came in to order and sat down as well. The staff checked in with everyone who dined in and even chatted with the ones just waiting for their food to take to-go. Definitely felt the Aloha vibe here! The portion size was fair for the price. The laulau was so tender. My fiancé whole has never had it before said it was good and likes the flavor. Their poke tasted fresh and had great flavors. The only part that I didn't like about the food was towards the end, at the bottom of the bowl the rice got a little mushy like sticky rice. Most of the rice was good but just the end, maybe last few bites was too mushy for me that I couldn't eat it anymore. Overall, the poke bowl was delicious.

Yelp
We have been driving by this place since we moved here from Hawaii about 2 years ago. We decided to give it a try for lunch. At first we thought the restaurant was at the front of the building and learned that the main entrance was at the back side. It's dark inside and has tables to dine in Or take out. It's clean and has a good vibe. Staff is super friendly and accommodating. I had the garlic chicken that came with rice and Mac salad. My husband had the Ahi special that came with 2 scoops rice and a special dipping sauce. The restaurant was fairly busy, but our Food came out fast. The chicken was in pieces with skin and fried super crispy and had the most delicious garlic sauce I have ever tasted. It literally melted in your mouth with every bite. The Mac salad was also very good. The ahi special had a light batter and the dipping sauce was very tasty. They also had other specials, poke and poi. Omg the food was so flavorful and one of the best local style food restaurants we have visited here in Vegas. We will be back and already planning our next visit and try other items in the menu Btw if you like Hawaiian Chili peppah water with your food, just ask, they get

Yelp
Love how friendly and family oriented my Hawaii people are!!! On top of that they serve good food! Wwhaat?! Food was so good we've actually catered a few items here. Must try for some delicious home cooked meals.

Shula E.

Yelp
I ordered garlic chicken It was fried more then once Do grouse Do not eat there & looks dirty looking into the kitchen

Kandice W.

Yelp
Wow!! Stopped in here for lunch after flying in. Yelp did not steer us wrong! Service was extremely friendly and we didn't have to wait long for our food. It was all cooked fresh, but the best part was the food! We ordered a Hawaiian plate with kalua pork. Delicious! Then we ordered a plate of their garlic chicken and their furikake chicken. Both were delicious, but our favorite was the furikake chicken. The furikake chicken had a teriyaki butter sauce with a wasabi cream sauce drizzled over the top that tied the flavors in just right. To die for! We will definitely be back!!

Yelp
When searching the location around me for a poke bowl restaurant, I came across Opulicious. They had 4.5 stars so I figured it was a good bet to check them out for lunch. Boy was I right! I showed up about 15 minutes after they opened and was greeted by the employees working behind the counter. I ordered a ahi tuna poke bowl with half rice half greens and a garlic sauce on top. My order was ready within minutes and I was on my way back to work with my bowl in hand. First bite was incredible. The ahi is so fresh and flavorful and the bowl is something else. I am throughly enjoying this lunch today and cannot wait to go back and check out their other offerings. I highly recommend Opulicious!

Yelp
Yasssss Opulicious Poke! Just landed in Las Vegas and was craving some delicious poke. When I first arrived I was so lost and confused with the location, I thought it was closed or closed down. Poke is located in a big plaza with tons of parking. The restaurant has tons of signage but just make sure to look for the front of restaurant, they are OPEN for business. Waking in I got that fresh fishy smell that I'm not too found of but that also lets me know it's going to be good. They do have tons of indoor seating. The restaurant is not on the strip but not far at all and definitely worth the trip. As I walked in I was immediately welcomed by the guys and felt like a friend and not just a customer. I went to place my order at the counter and was a bit hesitant on what to choose, so they offered me to sample any fish I would like or that I haven't tried before. All the fish were on display so you can see how fresh it is and how they are prepared. I got a bowl with two different protein, they were both fresh and flavorful. The poke bowls felt so authentic like if I was eating one on a island, took me back to my vacation days. I also got a couple of musubi to go for dinner and I'm so glad I did. The musubi was so good I wish I would have gotten more lol. This will now be my top go to spot for poke anytime I'm in Las Vegas. Enjoy! SYoY

Yelp
Opulicious is a casual restaurant designed for a quick meal or takeout. I was working in the area, and I've heard really good things about this place from native Hawaiians -- so I had to check it out. When I walked in, I felt like I was back home. The soothing and melodic sounds of Hawaiian music played loudly throughout the restaurant. Most, if not all, of the staff members were from Hawaii. The cashier was busy and hustling to get the orders out. He took my order as soon as he was finished helping his previous customers. I went for my usual, Poke bowl. It includes your choice of the following: * Base (rice or greens) * Protein (ahi, salmon, or tako) * Style (9 different flavors listed on the right side of the order window on a dry-erase board) I chose half rice/half salad, and California Ahi. They offered some hot sauce next to the soda machine, so I drizzled some on my ahi before taking my meal with me. It was tasty, and the ahi was fresh. Opulicious is onolicious!
google avatar

Kimberly C.

Yelp
Came in for the first time and we had a great experience. The guy taking our order asked if it was our first time and answered our questions about the different poke they offered. I ended up ordering a chicken Katsu mini for one of my sons, 3 spam musubi for my oldest, poke nachos, a bowl with poke and laulau for me and a lomi and laulau plate for my husband. All of the food was so good! We all took a bite and knew we would come back. We live in California and I wish I brought a cooler so I could bring back some poke. We will definitely be back whenever we are in the area!

Yelp
Very delicious spot - a must try in Vegas!!! This place has truly authentic Hawaiian food. Many poke places are not traditional in that there's a lot of random toppings added to the bowl. What you will find in Hawaii are bowls like this: delicious fresh fish on a bed of rice (I did half salad). They have a variety of sauce options and the fish was extremely fresh. Very tasty and a decent price. My partner got the fish trio which was a STEAL! The amount of ahi katsu they gave was incredible. I wish I had a picture to show. The fried fish was very juicy and the sauce they provided went very well with the it. The workers were very kind and I felt very comfortable eating here. There were around 7 tables inside and I believe some outside but unsure. Definitely recommend!!!!

Yelp
Service was good even if we had the food to go. Samoan family that runs this place they also grew up on Oahu in Kalihi Valley, very genuine and relatable young men, because we are also from Kalihi just the lower side near KPT. Anyway we ordered the laulau plate that came with lomilomi and Mac salad. The food was good but laulau needed more flavor so I just added shoyu, the rice was great like how I would want my rice cooked. And we ordered a poke bowl half spicy Mayo which was very tasty and the Hawaiian poke' that needed more salt but what I did was add more sesame oil which I had at my apartment which enhanced the flavor so it tasted better and we also had Nori seaweed from Costco which we ate with the Poke' overall good and we would go back again.
google avatar

Jeremy C.

Yelp
The food here is very authentic, it tastes like we went to a friend's house! We had the chicken teriyaki plate, which was good, the meat had a little more skin on it than I'm used to for that dish, but it was tasty, as was the macaroni salad. We also had the poke bowl with tuna and salmon and it tastes good, though the tuna seemed a bit mushy. The prices are reasonable, and the service was friendly and helpful!
google avatar

Sean M.

Yelp
Great service, the best Hawaiian food I've found. The garlic chicken is amazing and the variety of Poke. Hard to beat.
google avatar

Courtney R.

Yelp
A cute and cozy little place! The workers were very friendly! We're always on the hunt for poke bowls and have driven past this place multiple times wanting to try it. We each got a poke bowl with Salmon/Ahi - Spicy Cali style. The flavor of their poke is top tier! Overall it was a really yummy and simple local style poke bowl. Their menu also had a bunch of different plate lunch items that looked really good, I'll definitely want to try the Furikake Chicken next time!

Yelp
Walking in here is like being transported back to Hawaii. The food and vibes were immaculate. And the staff is always so welcoming and sweet! Definitely found my new go to place :) thank you !!

Keni Z.

Yelp
The place inside is nice, and the guy up front is really friendly and helpful. However, the food is not good. The Salmon/Tuna poke bowl made me ill and sick almost right after I ate it. I was going to truly give this place 1 star if it wasn't for the inside and for the friendly worker. I'm not sure what the problem was, but this is all I ate, and 1 hour later my stomach started hurting, so automatically I knew it was the Poke :/
google avatar

Jessica M.

Yelp
Delicious fresh poke. This was my first meal after landing in Las Vegas and it did not disappoint. Fresh fish and friendly staff. This poke held me over for a long drive.
google avatar

Andrew B.

Yelp
Poke was good, had the lau lau, needed more fat and flavor was a little dry, I would give it a try again.
google avatar

Mark K.

Yelp
Fantastic experience. The staff was kind and helpful and even offered me some samples. The food was absolutely amazing, I had the standard 2 flavor poke bowl and loved it. I highly recommend this establishment.
google avatar

Sophie M.

Yelp
First time trying this place and it's definitely one of my top favorite poke spots now! Great spot to stop by and get a plate lunch if you're in a rush All the workers here are so sweet!! The lady kept asking us if we wanted to sample any of the poke. They had maybe only 8 selections but all the poke was so fresh and the flavors tasted just like home. This was the first place I found that serves squid luau and it was also really good. A lot more coconut milk than usual and not so much squid inside but still 10/10
google avatar

Austin A.

Yelp
Everytime we come here it's a great experience. The lobby is always very clean and has a good open vibe to it. We've tried many things from the menu but some of my favorite are the garlic chicken, ahi katsu, poke nachos, and furikake chicken. Their customer service is top notch as well, super helpful always. Poke is seriously the best I've had in town, price wise, quality, portion, everything is top tier.

Stanley C.

Yelp
No stars for this place. They gave me some old fish on my poke bowl fish was not at the right temperature I called back but they had closed already so now they definitely getting a bad review I will never go back to this place took one bite and threw my food away immediately. They shouldn't be serving old fish to customers.

Andrea C.

Yelp
The customer service here is top tier, made me feel like I was back on the islands as soon as I stepped foot in the door! I ordered the garlic shrimp(soo flavorful and better than L&L). Would suggest to add more butter and a little less corn starch. But, will definitely be back to try more! Mahalo!!
