Ori Restaurante

I had last minutes booking through whatsapp and got a seat for myself on Saturday night. Host was friendly and energetic, while meals were all delicious. I wish i can come back with more people to enjoy more dishes. Thank you for making my day in Salvador❤️

Food is very good but service not as good. A little bit pricey.

We went to Ori, and the experience was delicious. The bread with meat appetizer was 10/10—one of the best things I’ve had in a long time in terms of texture and flavor. I ordered the low-carb Carne del Sol, and it was spectacular. The desserts were also amazing.

Great food, attentive service. Ravioli de vatapa and Perfeição were outstanding.

Giving it a 2 out of 5. We had lunch, one dish was good (rice dish North-Eastern style) and the other one wasn’t (carne de sol). First of all, the waiter didn’t asked me how i wanted my beef. I received it very rare (just seared outside). So i asked if he could grill it a bit longer. He took my plate and took it to the kitchen. I asked the waiter which doneness it was going to be, since he didn’t asked me, and he said the house doneness is medium-rare, which was fine to me. I received the meat well done, so i told the waiter again my dish wasn’t as it should be. He was very kind but left it as it was. I didn’t finish my plate and asked a bit later for the bill. The restaurant wasn’t even half full so no excuses for the kitchen to mess up the meat this way. When leaving the restaurant the ladies at the entrance asked how our experience was so i told the same story again. She asked the manager to come over. He was feeling very bad about our experience and wanted to offer us desert or a coffee, but we were already leaving so we thanked him. As kind as they all were, it wasn’t professional and efficient at all. The whole setting is even a bit pretentious to my opinion. The staff should be trained better!

Interesting, but nothing extraordinary. We really wanted to like it and expected more of it, for all the hype. Good technique, but lacks depth of flavor and diversity of ingredients – especially fresh ones. We were hoping to see something new and light, but a lot of the menu was heavy or fried. Nothing creative with vegetables or fresh ingredients – a lot of meat, pasta and overly sweet desserts. The highlights of our experience were the Torresmo de Tapioca com Polvo, the Tartare de Angus, and the cocktails that didn't include sometype of force carbonated, canned, soda-like beverage.

Ambiance and food presentation is very good. I ordered the fish of the day which was served over risotto—delicious but the sauce was a bit heavy for my taste.

There is nothing negative to say about this restaurant. Just, wow. What an experience. From the staff, to the decor, to the amazing food. The menu is creative, but still true to Brazilian traditions. The food is top notch, locally sourced, and perfectly prepared. The service is knowledgeable, attentive, and friendly. The space is absolutely gorgeous, like an oasis in the city. I hear this is where the local chefs go to eat, and I'm not surprised!
