For Immigrant-Owned Restaurants, Surviving Coronavirus Is More Complicated - Eater

"Oriental Inn, a Chinese restaurant in Indianapolis, is also seeing good sales one month out from the end of dine-in service, in some cases even exceeding pre-pandemic revenue on busier days. According to Chris Chang — whose grandfather opened the restaurant more than 30 years ago, after immigrating to the U.S. from China with his family — this is likely because the majority of nearby restaurants have closed, driving some customers to travel 40 minutes or more for Oriental Inn’s takeout." - Jenny G. Zhang

Been going to this place since I was a kid. Food has stayed incredibly consistent over the years. Quality of food is way above what most normal Chinese restaurants offer in the area. They've been in business for a long long time and there's good reason for that.

Favorite among elders. Majority eaters are elder people who appreciate healthy and delicious Chinese food. Food is good and cheap. Will definetly come back to try other dishes.

Very clean and very Covid-19 Compliant. Staff is outstanding right along with the food. I love supporting this family owned business.

First time here, just passing thru -- food was amazing. Well seasoned, rich broths, perfectly cooked noodles. Reasonably priced, with generous portions. Staff was very friendly and welcoming. Five Thumbs up.

I have driven by a couple of times, but I never went in. I wish I had taken more photos. Its beautiful inside! It looks like they do in the movies. All the great art and design, seems very authentic. I mean I have never been to a restaurant in China, or China at all, but I've seen those old Kung fu movies scenes where there are fights and flying and magic. Seemed like that, bit without all the flying and magic. The food was totally amazing! The pot stickers were delicious. I ordered Mongolian beef, and that was so yummy. I had extra to take home, which is something everyone loves. I highly recommend this restaurant. Welcome to flavor country, you've come a long way, baby! Skal
