The Best Ramen Restaurants in Phoenix, Arizona | Eater Phoenix

"This Japanese ramen bar opened in the thick of the pandemic and quickly found support in the form of dedicated ramen lovers thanks to its delicious dishes imagined by former Nobu chef Yusuke Kuroda. The Origami Classic ramen bowl is made with creamy chicken broth, ultra-rich pork broth, thin noodles, pork belly cha-su, a soft-boiled egg and veggies. We also love the Japanese milk teas and yuzu lemon soda." - Jamie Phillis

Google
Absolutely enjoyed the experience here, it was so fun and unique. We ordered through the tablet installed on the table which was fun/efficient so we don’t wait on a server. The ramen was delicious, we enjoyed everything we ordered except for the potato appetizer (don’t recall the name) it wasn’t wrong we simply didn’t enjoy that dish. Certainly a lot of drink options (nonalcoholic). I think it’s the perfect spot for any won who loves anime and ramen to enjoy here, especially as they had anime shows/movies playing in the back ground. It was a good one time experience for me!

Google
Interesting manga-themed deco and k-pop in the background, this non -descript joint in one of many strip malls in the area is a good find for ramen. The ingredients are fresh and broths are flavorful, which are key basics. Tablet menu is well executed and service is pretty good.

Google
This is one of the best broth base ramen shops in the valley. The noodles are above average and the toppings were larger than most other places. Prices are on the high side. The one glaring negative is the request for a tip at the time of order. The efficiency you gain only hurts your servers to get rewarded for being attentive.

Google
We were extremely impressed with this ramen, it is SO GOOD! Broth 10/10 Noodles 10/10 We ordered the Spicy Miso Ramen and I added corn. We also ordered the fried dumplings and they were delicious! We had the best ramen experience and we will definitely coming back! Hands down BEST RAMEN EVER! Place is small but its really comfy and clean

Google
Food was not fresh. Came out in less than 10 minutes. Some of the dish was cold and some was hot. Vegetables used give the food a nasty flavor. Broth was comparable to something store bought. Not at all worth price paid. Restaurant only accepts tap to pay but is not listed anywhere. MUST pay for food before you receive it. Restaurant is full of anime references but for whatever reason they would rather play sports on the TV . Will not be coming back

Google
Our go-to ramen place in Phoenix. Been to many ramen places, both across the US and Japan, this place is legit. The pics speak for themselves. The curry is quite a bit on the sweet side, even for Japanese curry, but the katsu is the best I've found in Arizona. The katsu is perfectly breaded and has just the right crispy texture outside and tender (not overcooked) meat inside.

Google
Cute ramen place for anime lover. The restaurant is decorated with characters’ stickers. Ramen was above average comparing to other ramen restaurants in Phoenix. It was a self service restaurant, where we order online. We also had to get water by ourselves. However, this place include 20% gratuity into the bill. I think it was a bit too much for minimum amount of service.

Google
Service was good. Food was alright. The chicken karaage was good. We also had ramen and hand rolls, which seemed like they were designed in a way anyone could scoop their ingredients out of a container and plop it into the bowl or plate, leaving you with an unbalanced dish and minimal effort on presentation.

Yelp
This place was so yum. I think the okonomiyaki was very authentic and had the right ratio of dough and vegetable. The katsu ramen was perfectly crisp. I was sad the curry had no veggies but the flavor was perfect. The ramen was also very tasty and the broth was excellent. I think the large karaage was a bit too much so next time would be ordering the smaller portion. They have an iPad to place your order, but it does incur a service fee when paying to place the order.

Yelp
I love shio broth and golden sea salt ramen here is my absolute favorite. There are lots of delicious garlic. The bamboo shoots are tasty, not have strong aroma. We ordered on their website and the food come out fast. They have iced green tea in can. They are small but serve big tasty flavor of food.

Yelp
This place was super cool. I loved the decor too! The ramen was incredible. I also tried the spam onigiri rice ball and the California rice bowl which were both delicious. The ordering is done through your phone, but the staff were all nice.

Yelp
Really great little ramen spot- if you enjoy Japanese pop culture, manga and anime, then that's another awesome bonus! The interior is cleverly covered with anime and manga references including stickers, posters, adorable plushy characters, and an epic painting of Kakashi Sensei himself! Don't let that deter you though, with or without a love for anime, the food is flavorful and memorable. I tried the classic ramen and the husband got the Katsu Curry and wow, they did not disappoint! The noodles were cooked well, the broth was well seasoned but not too salty, and the curry tasted authentic. They have a wide variety of fun soda flavors too. We will be back!

Yelp
The place is small but so cute. The decorations are so fun! I walked in first and they are sit where you want style. A staff member is bring water and let you know you can walk up to order at the kiosk or scan your table QR code and order from the app. When my friends got here, we ordered from the app. I got the Strawberry green tea, fried chicken, and Cha Su Mein. The green tea was not as sweet as I would like it and I normally order 50% less sweet. The fried chicken was very good, super crispy and juice inside. The dipping sauce add a lot of flavor. Loved the display of the Cha Su Mein. It was very delicious as well.

Yelp
Went on a weekday night and didn't have to wait for a table. Digital menus are available via a QR code at the table, and you can order straight from your phone or through the tablet on the table. You pay before the food is brought out to you so you don't feel trapped waiting for the bill to come when you're done eating. I had the miso ramen which admittedly didn't have a strong miso flavor. To me, it was really garlicky (I believe fried garlic and minced garlic both come as toppers). However, it was still really flavorful and I enjoyed it. The pork belly (you have a choice of protein) were two generous pieces that looked bland, but were tender and tasty. I'd definitely come back again.
google avatar

Yelp
Stopped in for a ramen lunch. Ate the Garlic Black Spicy, positives were there was a lot of garlic & the broth was flavorful. It's odd that the default meat is chicken, and you have to pay extra for substituting for pork. Most all ramen restaurants default to pork vs chicken. The Fried Gyoza was ok, the sauce with it was not flavorful so asked for chilli oil to add to it.
google avatar

Yelp
Food was good! You have to order from an app and tip right then and there as you're placing your order.. I found that quite odd. Someone reason my phone wasn't loading. So I wasn't even able to use that platform. I had to go to the back to place the order with the server..she didn't mind. Overall the food was delish! Anima stickers EVERYWHERE! Super fun place to be at. I liked , it was small and busy. P.S LOOK at the photos of the food before you add additional toppings we clearly didn't.

Yelp
This place is super cute! I love all the anime decor, it's definitely a vibe. The place itself is rather small and the ordering process was a little confusing. Our "server" wasn't overly helpful or friendly, which is fine because it was mostly counter service anyway. We started with the fire cracker dumplings. They are crispy and you get a good amount. The filling is pork, a generous amount, but nothing else stood out about it. I was hoping for more aromatics and/or vegetables in the dumplings, but they were fine. They are covered in eel sauce and spicy Mayo I believe. For ramen, I ordered the spicy bowl and my boyfriend tried the new garlic black spicy. Mine was incredibly creamy but I think, for my preference, lacked the spice element. I ordered it with pork and the chashu was pretty standard. I will say, I did not love the noodles in either bowl. I love a chewier noodle that's holds it's integrity but for me these weren't it. They were just dense in my opinion, but that doesn't mean they were bad. The egg is each bowl was a little disappointing. Not necessarily jammy how I prefer and lacked flavor in my opinion. The boyfriends bowl was quite aromatic and intense in flavor, we love that. The addition of minced garlic (looked like jar-lic) on top amused me. He had chicken and it was fine. Nice thick cut pieces but no real significant flavor. I believe we spent around 50$. I think that's pretty fair nowadays. Each bowl is roughly 15-17$ without the addition of extra toppings. I'm glad we tried it. I think the atmosphere of this place is its best quality. I personally probably wouldn't drive out of my way to go back.

Yelp
This ramen bar was voted best ramen in Phoenix 2023 - obviously had to stop by while we were here. The inside of the restaurant is smaller, you order at your table via your phone or you can walk up to the kiosk at the counter. The spicy garlic black (new on the menu) ramen was my choice, I added an extra hard egg. The flavor profile was out of this world, if you like garlic and a little spice this is for you. It was the best flavored ramen I've ever had! The whole place is anime themed and it was so cute! If you like watching anime, they had InuYasha playing on one of the TVs and had every wanted poster from One Piece on the walls. This place is a 10/10 from

Yelp
Outstanding service and a variety of ways to order from their rewards app and ordering directly from the tablets at the table you sit. Plenty of photos so you can't go wrong. Don't know what to order? Be adventurous but you can never go wrong with the house special or classic! Such great variety of dishes, come hungry and prepared! This ramen house reminds me of all the good times I personally had in Tokyo, Japan! おいしいです oishiidesu!!

Yelp
Cold night in PHX meant Ramen for dinner! When we walked in I immediately noticed the fun vibe. Walls are covered in anime, funky chandelier (I'm a sucker for a chandelier) and just overall cool aesthetic. We were shown to a table that had an iPad for ordering. Our waitress brought a pitcher of water and didn't say a word. There is basically no service here, which is different but also not needed. You order everything from the iPad menu and they bring it out. We started with the Spam Fries and Crispy Japanese Chicken. Fried Spam came out in the can, which was super cute! I asked if they came with any kind of dipping sauce and was told no, but they could give us spicy mayo. We said that was fine and it was good but honestly they were good alone too. I thought the Crispy Chicken would be on the bone but it was small nugget pieces. It was just okay. Idk if order it again. I would have liked the chicken to be crisper. I ordered the Miso Ramen and added the fried garlic. SO DELISH. A bit salty but I'm down for that so it was fine with me. I just noticed I drank almost the whole pitcher of water on my own. The broth was super flavorful, egg was perfect and I was happy I ordered the garlic addition. I'd definitely go back to Origami Ramen!

Yelp
Very cute ramen restaurant in Ahwatukee! It feels cozy and it was cool to see that I can order and pay with their QR code. Convenient! Tried their chicken ramen, it was good but kinda pricey for the amount and toppings that came with the ramen. I might try something else next time!
google avatar

Yelp
My oldest grandson has been on a kick to try ramen so we have been trying places all over the valley and this time we headed to Origami Ramen Bar in Ahwatukee. Origami Ramen Bar is a super cute place, inside you are greeted with fun pops of color and anime and manga all over, something my grandson thought was cool. Ordering is a pretty cool experience. Each table has a code that you can use with your phone where you can place your order and pay online, but service is great and if you have questions or not tech savvy and not really into using your phone to order you can order at the register in front. After checking out the menu I went with spicy rich miso with chicken. It came with curly noodles, chicken, soft boiled egg, veggies and a rich creamy spicy miso broth, it was a tasty bowl of ramen. My grandson enjoyed his bowl of ramen as well. This was a cute ramen bar and happy to have added it our list of Ramen places in the valley.

Yelp
The waitress had a pretty bad attitude. I went to pickup a to go order, asked her about the order she turned around, went into the kitchen and left me waiting without any response.

Yelp
Low 3.5 It was my first time here and I came to catch up with a friend on weeknight. It was not busy so we were able to grab a table pretty quickly. At first, I was pretty thrown off by the online ordering. The server didn't come by at all so you wouldn't know that you have to order online and you might sit there waiting a bit. Once you ordered online, you pay for your meal, but you can't accurately determine how much tip to put since you haven't been served yet; therefore, the system is a little flawed. I ordered the spicy with tofu. I like how they did the tofu here because it was not just an soft tofu and had a bit of texture to it. The toppings that came with ramen was good but it's not impressive in comparison to other places. The broth was good but it tasted like ramen seasoning. It was not spicy but instead very salty! I couldn't taste much flavor in the broth. Another thing was that the portion was small for the price that you are paying. You won't get full off of just a ramen, but if that's what you like then it's not bad. The service was not present but that's just the style of the restaurant. The seating was not that spacious but they had a a decent amount of tables inside. Overall, it's not a bad place but I don't think the ramen is that good and it's just too salty.

Luis G.

Yelp
Amazing food great customer service and very clean. I recommend it to everyone. Very helpful full for first time people trying ramen they will guide you to make the right choice.

Yelp
I had been craving ramen for a few days, and origami ramen bar had some decent reviews so I decided to stop by. It was during dinner time on Friday, and it wasn't too busy so I was seated right away. Orders are taken via the QR code menu placed on the table. I got the spicy rich miso ramen. I added chicken breast and corn for extras. The chicken and pork broth were really flavorful, it wasn't spicy in my opinion. The noodles were the right texture, al dente. The mango cream soda was really good. The chicken breast was actually pretty tender. I liked the whole atmosphere of the restaurant. The definitely be back to try different food options.
google avatar

Christopher H.

Yelp
Took a chance and ended up with by far one of the worst attempts at chicken katsu I've ever had. Don't be fooled that isn't chicken in the picture. it's just straight-up batter. Do not ever serve something like that to a customer again. Quite upset, especially after waiting 30+ minutes in a nearly empty restaurant and paying $60 for 2 rice bowls a coke and an appetizer. Do better. The server was nice and is not at fault for the poor quality of food.
google avatar

Mark P.

Yelp
Walk in and there are a bunch of negatives already: No cash accepted Tiny sign saying addl 3% for credit card charges Ok - I ordered a bowl of needle soup - NO Drink - $30 - I have to tip before I see the ramen , ugh I hate that I would like extra onions but it costs $3 more Hot sauce is .50 Everything is more money, and I'm already paying 30 fricking dollars for a bowl of noodles Oh and you order from a computer so it's a total rip off
google avatar

Tony F.

Yelp
My friend and I tried this place today. Ramen and Curry is it strong point. We got the katsu curry and let me tell you. THE best Japanese curry I have had and I've had a lot. The curry had a lot of flavor there was a slight sweetness to it and the spice was just right! The pork was cooked perfectly and the rice was excellent. I can't wait to try this place again. We ordered the dumplings as an appetizer and they were excellent. Service, was good they were busy. You order off your phone and paid for it at the same time. The waitress brought over a huge pitcher of ice water which was a nice touch. It's a small place can seat about 25 people they had a TV on that was showing Japanese animation show it's truly a no thrill place but the food does all the talking. I just wish the music was better or none at all. We will be back!!!!
google avatar

Alan B.

Yelp
I initially wanted ramen for lunch, I just can't get enough of it. The menu is the QR code kind. I saw they have Japanese katsu curry, so I ordered that instead. They do not accept cash, card only. I also got edamame, because I wanted something light, but wanted room for the katsu curry. The edamame was really good, not over cooked and not undercooked. The Japanese katsu curry was very good! It reminded me of eating at "Coco's" in Japan. I didn't get to choose a spice level, but on a scale of 1-10, I'd say it was a 3. I have a hard time with spicy food, and this was just spicy enough to allow you to enjoy the flavor of the curry. They also provide you a pitcher of water for your table. If any of you have lived in Japan and miss the curry they have, this place hits the spot! I'm not sure if there was NAAN on the menu, but that would have been the cherry on top! The employees are very kind and very polite, they say hi when you get there and always try to say bye before you leave. Their cleanliness was top notch, they clean within a few minutes if someone leaving. I will be back again, and I will try their Ramen next time.

Yelp
Probably one of the better ramen joints in Phoenix. This restaurant is located in Ahwatukee on Ray Road and 48th, and parking is pretty plentiful as it's in a strip mall. When I arrived on Sunday for lunch, I was immediately seated, and the place was moderately busy. You order by scanning a QR code located at your table, and you browse + place your order from the online menu (you can also ask the server to obtain a physical menu if that's not possible). The interior is pretty cool and is decorated with stickers/plushies/wall art from a variety of anime series. I ordered the classic ramen and karaage and it came out pretty promptly. The broth was very rich and paired really well with the thin noodles. I thought the chashu was a bit too sweet, but it had a nice char and was tender. The soft boiled egg was ok, I personally like it a bit more jammy + marinated, but overall the ramen was pretty good! The karaage was crispy + juicy and was served with black vinegar, though I personally would have loved to see it served with a slice of lemon for acidity. I've tried a couple ramen places in the Valley to find a place that's comparable to joints in California. This restaurant is probably the closest I've found to good ramen. Would love to come here again if the craving ever hits.
google avatar

Stacy S.

Yelp
The service is absolutely terrible here. My group ordered together. The order was placed at the exact same time, and everyone finished eating before I got my meal. I'm not exaggerating that it was over 20 minutes after my entire party was done eating before I got my food.
google avatar

Katelin B.

Yelp
My husband has been on ramen kick and I think we finally found our ramen place! We were seated quickly and were told that you order all food through the QR code which was convenient and made things go much faster. The food had great flavor with a really great price to go with it. There wasn't one thing that we ordered that we would could've complained about. The restaurant is cute with an anime theme. I highly recommend Origami!
google avatar

Sina P.

Yelp
Delicious ramen here at Origami Ramen! I tried their spicy ramen and it was creamy and delicious. Not to mention the plate presentation was 10/10 for the main dish and appetizer. The fire cracker dumplings 12/10! Definitely try this appetizer if you get the chance, you won't regret. The food overall was delicious and exactly what I was looking for in the cold weather. The service is quick and easy. They have a QR code you scan to view the menu and the. you also order on there to check out. The server was helpful with questions and kind. Love the anime themed style inside- super fun.
google avatar

Bryce H.

Yelp
First off the food is very authentic, it reminds me of ramen I got when I visited Japan which is great. The service is good and you order food on their website through a QR code and the ambience is filled with Japanese stickers, and anime related objects. I would recommend getting the ramen here but honestly not the rice bowls. Don't get me wrong, they are very tasty but the portion is not worth the price. Come and check this place out for some good ramen.
google avatar

Vivian H.

Yelp
I grew up eating ramen, but it wasn't popular until recently. I've wanted to come here for awhile now and made it in recently. Lots to choose from on the menu, including takoyaki (which is my favorite Japanese street snack), but I came in tonight specifically for ramen. I ordered the rich miso ramen. Very solid ramen and portion size pretty large, I couldn't finish all of it. Broth was tasty and everything else paired nicely. I'll definitely be back again sometime. You should try it out too!
google avatar

Joyce W.

Yelp
Are you having a rough day? Eat ramen. I cherish ramen and maybe like two people. After a day of holiday festivities with gingerbread house decorating and walking around looking at Christmas lights, a hot bowl of ramen sounded amazing. Having wanted to try this place for quite some time, we all headed over for some noodz. I ordered the Black Soy Ramen (鶏白湯しょうゆ), $18.25: House-made, ultra-rich, and creamy chicken and pork broth with curly noodles. Topped with juicy white meat chicken cha-shu, half a soft-boiled egg, and vegetables. It was yummy! It was a good comforting way to defrost from the chilly evening. The noodles held the broth well when slurping and that's the sign of a good bowl of noodz. Origami has now tied for first as my favorite ramen spot in the valley. You come in, scan the QR code, pay online, and just wait for your delicious eats to be brought out to you. This place is an otaku and weeaboos dream. Anime is constantly being played on TV and anime stickers make up most of the decor. I would definitely recommend you to stop in when you're craving some ramen.
google avatar

Austin L.

Yelp
A great casual spot serving delicious ramen! The Black Soy and Tokyo Shoyu ramens delivered a deep umami balanced with a natural sweetness. The broth and noodles felt very authentic, however I feel the other toppings were the weak point. Ordering with the QR code is quick and efficient with payment through your phone as well. We will have to return to try the other dishes!
google avatar

Jim D.

Yelp
I really didn't find anything special about this place. To me it's just like the rest of them with one exception, I find them to be a bit pricey. I personally don't like the idea of placing your order through a smart phone and paying that way also before even getting the food. Really what type of restaurants do you sit down and pay before you get your food. I also like it when a server comes back and check on you if the food is ok or you need something else.

Ruel R.

Yelp
Maybe their prices are a bit higher but the quality of their food backs it up and reminds me of my trips to Japan.
google avatar

Kathy M.

Yelp
This might be the best ramen joint in Phoenix. I've tried a handful of ramen joints in the valley and this one is my fav! I visited for the first time a couple weeks ago but it was my bf's second time. He said it was pretty good so I was excited to try it. The establishment is small. We arrived around 7pm and waited for about 15 min on a Saturday night. Once we sat down, there was constant traffic which was a good sign. To place your order, you scan the QR code on the table and select what you want on your phone. We both ordered the chicken karaage and 2 spicy ramens. The chicken karaage came out pipping hot. It was perfectly crispy, juicy, and tender. I liked dipping it with the spicy mayo sauce more than the soy sauce. The spicy ramen was really good! I liked the savory, thick chicken & pork broth. The spicy kick was great! The pork belly was thin and soft but could have been more tender. The egg was seasoned well. I had to take the rest of my ramen to go because our meal was so filling. We left VERY full. The noodles must have expanded in our stomachs. It still tasted great the next day. If you're craving ramen, I highly recommend checking this place out!

Yelp
Food 5/5 Service 5/5 Ambiance 5/5 I came here for lunch on Friday. There were a good amount of people but no wait. The owner was very friendly and helpful. I had Paitan with Pork chashu, and it was the best pork chashu I've ever had!!! The paitan broth was very creamy and flavorful! I'd def come back!! L
google avatar

Jasmine L.

Yelp
Food: I ordered the spicy ramen and it was so good! I honestly haven't had better ramen elsewhere Ambiance: cute little spot with decorated walls of anime and Japanese characters Service: it was good but not much was needed because you order and pay through a QR code at your table
google avatar

Darya S.

Yelp
Some great ramen that hit the spot on the rare Phoenix rainy day. I got the red with tofu and my husband got the black with chicken. I loved how peanuty and spicy mine was. It had a strong kick to it, which I appreciated. The black was so garlicky, it was outstanding, too. The one thing that was missing was I wish mine came with the egg that all the others come with! The place is pretty unique with the stickers covering the walls (how long did that take them!?) and the anime playing on the TVs. We definitely dug the vibe!

Esther L.

Yelp
A clean and welcoming ramen bar. Restroom is very clean. The ramen noodles and broth are commendable. Definitely a place to visit for ramen lovers. Not giving five stars rating as there is a 3% charge for credit card.
google avatar

Joseph L.

Yelp
Nice clean restaurant, comfortable seating. There is no real service here, though. You scan a QR code and order on your phone while inside, and they bring your food. Food is just OK, but in the area, I prefer other options for ramen, we have so many excellent options here in the valley. Popcorn shrimp app came served with straight ketchup on the side?? It tasted like it was purchased frozen in bulk rather than prepped / breaded there. Two people with a small app and two ramen... $57 out the door. I just don't think that the quality of the food matches the price point they are charging. I wish them the best, but I won't be back, unfortunately.
google avatar

Dawn M.

Yelp
No reservations taken over the phone. You will have to arrive and write your name down before seating. We waited about 30 minutes during the weekend. No waiting seats available, you may have to wait outside or inside your car. Once your seat is ready, they will call your phone listed. Servers don't take your food orders only through their scanned menu through your phone. Self served water/drinks are available. The noodles are fresh, bouncy and savory. Probably the best ramen I've had in the area. I'd come back again for sure. The only down side was the humidity and lack of air conditioning inside the restaurant. AZ and hot soups are already a combo of the sweats in general. Next time, I'll come during the winter season. The popcorn chicken was also delicious!
google avatar

Yelp
I have to say, this was a place recommended by @azfoodguy and it didn't disappoint. Love the atmosphere and how you're self service, from the menu to everything that they have to offer. I was surprised and amazed the ordering system, you scan the QR Code on the table the menu appears and you place your order. The service is fast in last than 10 minutes our food (Classic Ramen, Cha Shu, Miso Ramen, Spicy Rock Shrimp Tempura) was on the way to the table. Now let's get to the quality of the food. The booth is rich and creamy, we didn't and salt or soy sauce, the chef prepared everything to perfection. You have to come here and check it out, you won't be disappointed!!!!!
google avatar

Erick V.

Yelp
Will constantly come back here for my Ramen cravings. Best I've had in Phx area. The vibes are awesome in here too, anime theme! Cha-Shu Men ramen is THE go to! Omg, the noodles, perfection. Pork, tender and sweet. Broth, absolutely flavorful!! It's a must have Takoyaki, they went heavy on the mayo, preferably not my style. Very saucy and couldn't really enjoy it as much.
google avatar

Ross F.

Yelp
Amazing Ramen with flavor that is complex and crafted with love and attention to detail. I had the spicy black garlic and my wife had the traditional. Both were super yummy. It was actually my wife's first time to a ramen shop and she was instantly hooked. The service is simple and efficient and the space has a fun Japanese feel. It's my second time going to Origami Ramen and I can't wait to go back.

Yelp
Origami Ramen Bar has great service and cute interior concept that would make any anime and manga lover feel welcomed. Unfortunately, I've had much better ramen elsewhere in the valley, so it's really hard for me to recommend it. There are dishes besides ramen on their menu that did catch my eye though. Parking is easy in the plaza. When you walk in, you'll be met with walls covered in anime and manga related stickers that are very fun. They even have an entire wall dedicated to One Piece wanted posters! What makes Origami Ramen Bar stand out from other establishments is that you can opt to have minimal contact ordering through QR code. Each table has a unique code you can scan with your phone. You can easily place your order and pay online. We did this as it was a more novel experience. Service is super patient and kind. They will explain to you how the system works if you are unfamiliar and are willing to answer questions about it and the food. If you are uncomfortable with ordering through QR code, they also let customers order up front at the register. I ordered the Rich Miso Ramen. It comes with a huge sheet of nori, corn, chashu (pork belly), marinated egg, generous amounts of garlic, fried shallots, and wavy noodles. Unfortunately, the corn in my bowl was refrigerator cold, but that can easily be fixed by making sure to mix it all into the broth before you eat. The bigger offense was that my noodles were also undercooked. I prefer al dente noodles, but mine tasted a bit raw and floury in the middle. The flavor was also not quite there for me. The broth was very salty and heavy. The one plus side is they are at least more generous with their noodle portions compared to other ramen shops. My partner got the Tokyo Shoyu Ramen. He also felt it was underwhelming and very heavy. It's a shame because we really did want to like this place. Perhaps the other ramen or dishes are better, so it could be worth ordering something different from what we did! We may return in the future to try something other than ramen.

Yelp
I can't say enough about this place! From the amazing ramen, with broth that just makes me want to cry it's so good to perfectly cooked ramen eggs I'm impressed. You order from your phone or a tablet on the table so the service is wonderful and the vibe matches with anime posters and stickers. Love this place!

Yelp
We were out shopping for fans, and hungry. Found this through a search on yelp, and woo wee, we scored big-time! This place is tiny but mighty awesome. Love the anime all over and the sticker walls added a cool vibe. The Broth alone in the Tokyo Shoyu will bring me back. The noodles were al dente perfection, and the egg cooked just right. We both got the wave of food relaxation at the same time, aka full and happy bellies. Cannot wait to go back and try other items.

Yelp
I love the food here ! They recently added new items to their menu and I can't wait to go back to try them . My all time favorite is the Japanese curry with chicken it has such a smooth consistency and pairs so good with the white rice ! I always finish my plate ! Service is good . No waiter taking our order only ordered through your phone and payment from phone as well . Water and tea I believe are self serve except if you're ordering a drink . Ambiance is nice ! If you live anime you definitely have to check this place out , it's filled with anime stickers and they have anime playing on tv , a nice place to hang out with friends to grab a bite and talk anime stuff !

Yelp
Had a craving for ramen and saw this place the night I tried Papa Chevo's (next door) & saw many people going in to dine or bringing take out to go so today I thought I would try it. Nice dine in restaurant, very quaint and cozy. Friendly, helpful waitstaff. You have to scan the QR code on the table using your phone in order to bring up the menu, order, & pay for your meal. I asked the very handsome waiter what item he recommended & he suggested the Classic & I got that, substituting pork belly for chicken & got an iced green tea to drink. Very good & quite filling! You get your money's worth & then some! They have utensils & also chopsticks at each table. Good music plays in the background. The ambience is nice. Warning: this place is pricey but worth it if you're looking for something different to eat.

Yelp
I'm driving back out of my way to eat here again tonight. Got to take advantage of it while we are here. The dinner was absolutely everything I had hoped for. Delicious!

Yelp
One of the best ramen spots in AZ! It's so hard to stray away from Origami because the ramen is simply delicious -- from the broth, to the toppings, and the juicy chashu (I do wish they gave you a little more). The environment makes you feel right at home; they have tons of anime stickers and decor everywhere! The service is slightly comparable to how it is in Japan, you order through a QR code with minimal interaction with the waitstaff. However, I've never had any issues or miscommunication with the website or the staff. Pro tip: add the garlic!
