Origin Grill at Shangri-La Singapore delivers a dining experience that perfectly blends luxurious ambiance, exceptional service, and unforgettable cuisine. From the moment we entered, the upscale setting and warm, attentive staff set the tone for an extraordinary evening.
Our meal was a true showcase of culinary artistry. We began with the Hokkaido Scallop, elegantly paired with kombu butter, cucumber, and sea grapes, and the Crispy Pork Belly, served with a flavorful mix of cannellini beans, pancetta, and tomato gremolata. For mains, the Kagoshima A4 Craft Wagyu was the star of the evening—200g of perfectly cooked, melt-in-your-mouth striploin. The Roasted Spring Chicken with sourdough stuffing, crushed potatoes, and lemon salsa verde was another standout, while the House-Made Pappardelle with Mushroom X.O. offered a hearty and satisfying vegetarian option.
The sides were equally impressive, with the Fried Rice featuring turmeric and fried shallots, Grilled Asparagus with whipped tofu and chili, and an indulgent Mac & Cheese that hit all the right notes.
Desserts were a delightful end to the evening. The Minced Fruit Cheesecake, complemented by orange jivara and vanilla gelato, was refreshingly light yet indulgent, while the Chestnut Earl Grey, with its chestnut ganache and candied peel, delivered a sophisticated flavor profile.
Accompanying the meal, we enjoyed Veuve Clicquot champagne to start, followed by Edouard Delaunay Septembre wine for the mains, enhancing the meal’s flavors beautifully.
