Original Breakfast House

This is a favorite. We have been coming to this restaurant seasonally for several years. I would say this is the best breakfast restaurant in Phoenix but honestly, I really need to say it’s the best restaurant for breakfast in the Western US. I can only think of one better and it’s a small restaurant in the coastal town of seaside Oregon. We’ve never picked a poor menu item at this restaurant. But if I had to recommend one over all others, it is the French toast. Oh expect a wait, but it’s worth it. Update as of yesterday December 29, 2024. It happened, after being raving fans with repetitive 5 star reviews on Yelp and Google we had our first dissatisfied visit. This was our first attempt to order lunch menu options instead of breakfast. Combine that with our first ever negative waitress experience it was disheartening. We will not change our scoring for this establishment but had this been our first experience it would have been the last. Oh well, we will stick to breakfast options going forward.

If you’re looking for the best breakfast place in Phoenix you have found it! OBH is like no other. The menu has options for everyone. The price point is acceptable for the portions and quality you get. Service is amazing Alix has been our server the past few times and she has taken great care of us. As all of the other reviews mention the earlier you get here the better and it’s cash only! Their orange juice is fantastic and they always have great coffee. Absolutely loved this place! Wish we had found sooner on our trip. We had the 5 way Scramble, Green Enchiladas, and took a Cinnamon Roll with us. The food was amazing! If you're in Scottsdale, this is the place to eat breakfast! ONE THING THE ONLY ACCEPT CASH. So make sure you have that.

This place is a consistent hit. I’ve tried several different items from the menu, and every single time it’s a home run. The chilaquiles are one of my go to options. Their Cali beach burrito is also a great option. Overall, you can’t really go wrong with what you get, whether it’s a lunch or breakfast option. Also, the service is very friendly and super quick. My favorite breakfast place by a long shot!

Everything about this place is amazing, great staff, amazing food warm atmosphere all for a wonderful price. Cash only but they have an ATM on deck ! Def recommend whether it’s your regular breakfast spot or visiting from out of town. Always a great day when you visit OBH 🌞

Decided to order breakfast this morning and this was highly recommend. There was a long line outside when I arrived for pickup. I had no wait though. Food was excellent all around. I have no recommendations because I need to try so much more. Great place to eat!

Had breakfast here today, no wait, exceptional service, good was great. Coffee tasted terrible. It's pricey. Can we go anywhere without these huge price increases? Cash only but it's right up front not a surprise, + up front ATM w no fees, do it was easy, but I dont understand why, it's no special prices, it's a bit high.

Service, speed, quality of food was amazing! Thanks to all the reviews we decided to try this breakfast spot and it did not disappoint. Will definitely come again and recommend to everyone. Cash only was no issue as ATM was available with no extra charge.
