Google
Matthew was great 5 star service! He gave us recommendations for meal selection and drinks. He was friendly and greeted us within 3 minutes of sitting at the bar. Luv'd the bisque and gumbo, seasoned so well. Parking was easy. The ambiance was chill.

Google
We absolutely love this restaurant! Since moving here last year, it’s been our go-to spot, especially when hosting friends. The relaxed atmosphere and the staff’s kindness and patience make every visit enjoyable. Our kids adore the children’s meals, my husband is a fan of the seafood platter, and I’ve found the crawfish to be the best I’ve had in Katy!

Jennifer Nguyen

Google
Crawfish was well soaked and flavorful, definitely reminds me of Louisiana style. I liked the casual counter style ordering and full bar. The flavor on the grilled oysters were good, but could use some more char/crisp

Pam J.

Google
We lived in Louisiana for over 15 years, so I compare everything “Cajun” with what was available to us daily there. Orleans is a good restaurant with fair pricing esp on the kids meals.

Google
I had low expectations coming in here for the first time. Typically, in my experience, New Orleans type food is lacking in the Houston/ Katy area. When I entered I noticed that the place was filled with laughter and people. The people taking orders were very kind and patient when we took our time ordering. But the food… The food was out of this world. My wife has a history of trying and disliking gumbo, but this placed changed her view. The food here reminds me of the food in Louisiana. I would recommend this as one of the top restaurants in Katy, in regards to the food. Along with the price, this is a must try.

Google
We stumbled upon this place, it was awesome! We came on Thursday, their is a $19.99 special for 24 fried shrimp and fries. It was great for two people. It was very clean, fast service, fast timing on our food and every thing was fresh and tasty. We will definitely come back! The St Charles shrimp pasta was awesome! Good size servings as well.

Google
The food was delicious. Loved the jalapeño cheddar corn bread. Red beans and rice were great lots of flavor. Chicken and sausage gumbo had good flavor as well just missing the potato salad 😉 it would have topped it right off. Great staff and atmosphere.

Ain Roseman

Google
Food was very disappointing. I got the 1/2 shrimp Po’boy with gumbo and fries combo. Gumbo was decent but the fries were stiff and stale. Sandwich was mostly bread.

Tammy J.

Yelp
Great food! It's one of our go-to restaurants in the Katy-Fulshear area! Their fried oysters and crawfish bisque soup is absolutely delicious!

Aly G.

Yelp
This restaurant I had no idea was here just drove by and decided to stop in. Very spacious! You do order at the counter and get a buzzer for when it's ready. The food was so delicious and amazing! The alligator was superb! Definitely will be back to try new things! They also just started crawfish season as well there are daily specials to consider too! Come by and try it

Nicki M.

Yelp
I definitely expected more out of this place, but I found it to be just ok. The boudin balls were dry and not like boudin much at all. The crawfish bisque was delicious and creamy! The stuffed shrimp were also a bit dry and more breading than I prefer. The fries were nice and crispy and the red beans and rice had great flavor. So overall it was just hit and miss for me. I'll likely give it another go and try a few other things. Service was great and helpful. Ambiance was chill and laid back.

Aisha P.

Yelp
I ordered a catfish and fried shrimp combo and was thoroughly dis appointed with the plate. The catfish was incredibly bland. The shrimp wasn't any better and honestly tasted like they had been in the freezer for awhile. Unfortunately i wont be able to eat it.

Shannon T.

Yelp
The crawfish at this place is soooo good!! Just the right amount of spice and kick! We had the seafood platter which has crawfish, crab legs, shrimp, corn and a potato!! It is definitely more than enough for 2 people. Great drinks and great service!

Jonquil J.

Yelp
I'm so over it I've eaten here several times and the food is getting worse every time. The last time I tried the gumbo and I was not a fan of it at all. So much so I didn't even get a chance to take a pic of it. The service is always good the greet you every time you're at the counter make you feel very welcome. The ambiance I've always gone during the day so it's been a family atmosphere which is great . It's just not doing anything for me anymore so I will give it break and take some time before returning.

James C.

Yelp
First time visiting their new location in Fulshear and it was somewhat of a letdown. We ordered catfish orleans and Shrimp poboy. Both dishes were meh at best. Catfish orleans is supposed to have crawfish and pico de gallo toppings. Our plate has few tails that got lost in the sauce. Rice was mushy and flavorless. Same for the green beans. Shrimp poboy for its price is not a good value IMO, small and not enough shrimp. I've had plenty of good poboys during my visits to NOLA and the poboy I had tonight doesn't even come close, very disappointing.

Apryl M.

Yelp
Recently I tried takeout meals for dinner at the Fulshear location. I ordered 2 meals, the blackened catfish dinner and crawfish étouffée and fried catfish dinner. Both were prepared well and heavily seasoned Cajun style lightly spice. I was pleased with the food but much more expensive these days. I spent almost $50 for 2 takeout meals for reference. But overall, I really enjoyed our dinner selection and will try more.

Ron J.

Yelp
Fellow YELPERS...THIS is the BEST Fried Shrimp from Fulshear to Beaumont, bar none. Perfectly butterflied, coated with a unique seasoning, tender, plump and large! Gotta' say it again..BEST fried shrimp around. Thick sliced onion rings perfectly deep fried with tons of flavor. And then, the Chicken Sausage Gumbo that is as good as Suz Breaux's secret home recipe. My GAWD, tons of chicken, sausage, green onions floating in a perfectly seasoned Roux. Although in a different category, this Gumbo may be the best too! Red Sauce and Tartar Sauce are also over-the-top. Oh, and really nice helpful people too! Orleans Seafood has become one of our Top 5 favorites! You will not be sorry!

Joel C.

Yelp
This place has great food. It's usually pretty quick, the people are nice and the prices are fair. I like to get their crawfish etoufee and their cheesecake is awesome. Come check this place out if you want good quality, fair-priced Cajun food!

Amanda M.

Yelp
Hit or miss, sometimes it's amazing and sometimes it's insanely salty. Wish it was more consistent but worth a try.

A. Selena B.

Yelp
Was offered really great service! Food was on point and the ambiance was as expected. Will definitely be back soon!

Angelica F.

Yelp
Stopped by around 3PM yesterday with my family. The vibes were nice and we didn't have to wait long at all for food, everything was done all at once and I was shocked! Whatever sauce the sautéed crab fingers are in is to die for, we dipped Garlic Bread in the remaining juices and just wow. The Catfish Orleans & Pecan Crusted Rainbow Trout are a must try, they were seasoned well and cooked beautifully. We ended up not being a huge fan of the Chargrilled oysters, just felt they could've been cooked a hair longer but otherwise were good. Fried shrimp was yummy.. and those French fries are AMAZING. I could've eaten a whole platter of them by myself.

Ashley C.

Yelp
These oysters were SO good. They have a special in February, $1/oyster. I wish I knew sooner. I always enjoy this place. It's my go to for Cajun food.

Kirsten D.

Yelp
Great dining experience, which is getting rare these days! Started with fried pickles and onions - perfectly fried with a light batter. Also had the crawfish bisque, which had whole crawfish in it instead of little pieces like at some other restaurants - they definitely were not stingy here! Others at our table had fried shrimp, shrimp & oyster po-boy and chicken tenders (order is HUGE). All was great and had enough to take home for dinner! Staff and manager were both very polite and wanted to ensure everything was up to par. Restaurant is also super clean and just a great atmosphere overall. Looking forward to coming back!

Robert B.

Yelp
Let start with there was NOTHING Creole or Cajun about any of the dishes I ordered. Tried the "Cajun" wings. They're Buffalo. The wings were okay. Juicy and tender. But not Cajun in anyway. Tried the Creole Chicken Salad. Nothing Creole in the dressing. The chicken WAS blackened which you could taste by itself. But when added to the dressing it was a lost flavor. Overall 4 stars is a bit overrated. And I was expecting more of a traditional dinning experience as opposed to this counter order. It's not bad (at least what I had) but it's not New Orleans style food in anyway.

Steven G.

Yelp
We tried this place for first time and was pleasantly surprised. Restaurant is much bigger than expected. Food was very tasty, can be a bit spicy but if you ask they can do less spice. We got grilled chicken dinner and chocked and sides were very good. Also got the fried pork chops with dirty rice. It was amazing, but the crawfish gravy on chops was a bit spicy, but I like spicy so great. We sat in counter dining, they also have full service dining section, and service was great. Portions nice size and reasonably priced. Definitely will go back and try the wide range of seafood options they have. TY!!

Kevia J.

Yelp
I enjoyed the service and ambience here. The food was okay for the area that it's in. I am a food connoisseur so it wasn't the best seafood however it was pretty good!

Eddie G.

Yelp
Thanks to Chance for the reply. Knowing I can order less spicy is good and will give y'all another shot soon.

Chi W.

Yelp
Katy--Orleans Seafood Kitchen has a very good and responsive wait staff, but that is just the start. The food is delicious, and the variety is a good mix of seafood and non-seafood for those who have a shellfish allergy.

Ryan S.

Yelp
We ordered Uber eats. The restaurant told me that they forgot the food and was Uber fault. Manager did not care. Ridiculous.

Brad J.

Yelp
Great place with great patio. Enjoyed eating lunch here after getting turned away by molinas not allowing my Dog on their patio

Jan S.

Yelp
I have been going to the Fulshear location. I was pleased with most of my orders. I would even go on Tuesdays and get 3 or 4 dinners for me for the week because of the fact that seniors get 20% off on Tuesday. When they realized that I was coming on Tuesday all of a sudden they cut my 20% off saying I had to dine inside. That was not written anywhere! It was meant for me since I was the only one doing it I'm sure! I started going to Luby's where it is an assortment of sides , and many more choices and it was about 5 dollars cheaper so they actually did me a favor! However, the other day I came in for an oyster po boy. The fries were cold, the bread wasn't toasted and just was taken out of the wrapper. The 7 or 8 smashed oyster were not the best. I threw everything in the trash when I got home. I did eat just the smashed oysters. I wish that I had looked at the order before I left the place. I was very disappointed because the waiters and waitresses are super nice! I called and told the person that answered the phone. He said that he was going to tell the manager, but i doubt it!

Joe R.

Yelp
We ordered the crawfish (it is the season) and the half&half PoBoy (catfish) and Gumbo. The crawfish are a bit small compared to other restaurants we have been to. The catfish PoBoy was tasteless really thin piece of fish, gumbo was too salty and no okra in it, also the French Fries had too much salt on them. Definitely, BB Tex-Orleans PoBoys and Gumbo beats this place hands down. For the price we paid we should have gone a little further to BB's... We tried this restaurant and not we will not return.

Fazley R.

Yelp
I kind of am in love with this place. Finally some really good Cajun food in the burbs! Been here a couple of times now due to proximity to my home and I have not been disappointed. The winner on the menu is their gumbo. I prefer mine with a bit more rice, but the rue is so flavorful. I recommend the seafood gumbo. Got a oyster po-boy and the bread was so soft and the oysters were perfectly seasoned and fried. The jambalaya is home cooking done right. Again, flavorful and the portion size is great value. In previous visits I got the pecan crusted rainbow trout. Their green beans and red beans and rice sides both have pork in it so I substituted for mashed potatoes and steamed broccoli. Very wise choice indeed. Next time we will try the boiled seafood. Keep up the great work Orleans!

Evelyn R.

Yelp
The service and the food was amazing! The food was very flavorful and seafood tasted fresh. Would recommend!!

Jasmine K.

Yelp
By far the best NOLA style restaurant we've been to since my trip to New Orleans! The bisque was creamy and full of flavor. It was not too spicy as some we've had in the past. The boudin balls...omg...can you say mouth watering! The seasoning was perfect and the dipping sauce was an added bonus. They say save the best for last, and babe the chargrilled oysters did not disappoint. Coming from a native Charlestonian who usually eats raw oysters; the oysters were exceptional! They were juicy and well cooked. Way better than what we've received in New Orleans. Now the service, Jasmine the bartender was knowledgeable about the menu & made some great drink recommendations to accommodate our needs. for the NO Ice Tea, you only need one, yet if you're feeling vibrant drink two or more. The ambience was very New Orleans! We loved the decor and Mardi Gras feel of the restaurant. Ultimately this place is King Approved, with 5/5 stars !

Debbie P.

Yelp
Love their fried shrimp, plus both gumbos are delicious. One is chicken & sausage, one is shrimp. We have never had a bad meal at Orleans- been going 20 years!

Linda D.

Yelp
We ordered fried shrimp and coleslaw. Shrimp was light golden brown and absolutely perfect. If you like sweet coleslaw (which we do) it was wonderful also. 20% off for seniors on Tuesdays

Van D.

Yelp
Food was delicious! If only I didn't live half an hour away. Can't wait to go back next time I'm in the area.

Jody T.

Yelp
Best service, always clean. Food has never disappointed, and I've tried several different Cajun dishes. Very, very community friendly.

Heather P.

Yelp
This is the update to my previous review as promised: We decided to wait until the day after opening and the place was poppin! Super cute inside, the dining room really takes you to that French Quarter vibe. The bar is spacious with plenty of seating. The bar ambiance was definitely brighter than one might expect and it did have an effect on the overall mood but this could have been one of those quirky kinks to be worked out - I mean they were only open 24 hrs so far! The food - it was good! We ordered the jambalaya and the alligator appetizer. The alligator was something I've never tried before and it reminded me of calamari's more chewy cousin lol. Good flavors overall. Or cocktails were a bit in the sweeter side but from what I can tell so far about the south... everything is sweeter. We will be back to try other items, very excited to have NOLA cooking in Katy/Fulshear!

Shanya E.

Yelp
I had this place once and ordered it via Uber eats twice more the next day it was sooo good. The catfish is nice and crispy and the best I've had in this area ! The hush puppies are the best I've ever had and the gumbo is pretty delicious too I love that they put crawfish in it ! Definitely worth a try if you are in the area!

Lisa Gore A.

Yelp
The crawfish here are the best you can get, the food is the closest thing to Louisiana food you can get, I'm a true Cajun and recommend this place to other people from Louisiana here.

Anne Marie O.

Yelp
To consider: this is the new place in town so it was crowded! This is a wait in line, order at the front, get a pager type place. The wait to get to the front was 15 minutes. A staff member did offer those of us in line a free drink for the wait. The total time from getting in line to getting our food was 45 min. Most staffers are young but the owners and managers were VERY hands on and helpful. Food: all the food was warm when picked up. The one kids meal was the only one that took about 7 min. longer. Food was tasty, not spectacular or out of this world but it was well seasoned, good presentation and portions were a plenty! We did not try the fried foods or oysters so we will likely be going again to try.

Stephanie L.

Yelp
It was okay. I ordered via Uber Eats, so by the time it got to my home, the food wasn't hot. I re heated in the oven, but the fries were lacking, shrimp was over cooked, and the catfish didn't taste up to par for my tastes, like that dirt taste. The driver also forgot my lemonade. The dirty rice was really good

Luna Q.

Yelp
I was in the area, lots of construction around here. Wanted something with lots of flavor, came across this place. I even missed the entrance. But so glad I made uturn. I ordered the crawfish bisque bowl. Oh boy, it was full of flavor, thick, crawfish cooked on point. Delicious! At first I thought it wouldn't be enough but it is pretty thick and perfect lunch size. Everyone is very nice and helpful. Please is clean and music from New Orleans makes me feel like I'm there.

Ryan P.

Yelp
Great food, friendly staff, great ambiance! 10/10 would recommend. The fried seafood platter is the best thing on the menu.

K K.

Yelp
Crawfish Etouffee medium good for lunch had plenty of crawfish spicier than I like but it was ok. May help the sinuses! Better than my last experience and convenient to having my car inspected. Casual and the line moves fast. Tried no cocktails. Drink station clean and ample parking.

Louise M.

Yelp
Orleans Seafood Kitchen has become my favorite restaurant. The food is amazing and the service is awesome I highly recommend it to anyone looking for good food that tastes like something your grandma would have whipped up

Karen S.

Yelp
Awesome happy hour and fabulous service in the bar area. We love their crab fingers and mixed drinks. Beware, when crowded, it tends to get loud inside since it's one large open space...

Ted H.

Yelp
I was pleasantly surprised on my first visit, I write this after my second visit. I really had no expectations good or bad. The restaurant is clean and the staff very accommodating. It's "self serve" which is fine with me. Nice selection on the menu I think the gumbo (chicken and sausage ) is excellent. Nice and dark with lots of chicken and sausage I had fried catfish both times. Nice portions and everything was hot and fresh, good flavor I guess some of the reviewers were expecting Commander's Palace, who knows For a reasonable price you can get good food, nice service in a clean restaurant. Sounds like a win to me I'll be back

Helena G.

Yelp
Shrimp was cold, white manager got an attitude and stated he had been buzzed buzzer. It don't matter if the buzzer was buzzed or not KEEP THE FOOD IN THE HEAT UNTIL THE CUSTOMER COMES TO THE FRONT TO PICK UP FOOD. Than I ordered a drink and it was DISGUSTING. I know my drinks I'm a bartender and just was nasty. I did not even try to attempt to drink it. Other than that I will not be a returning customer!

Ryan T.

Yelp
We weren't sure what to expect and walking in to see the counter order style threw me for a loop. The food that comes out from behind that counter? It is better than places that require reservations long in advance. Alligator appetizer was spot on, my wife said the salmon was the best meal she has had in a long time, kids all crushed their meals and my catfish was cooked perfectly.(side note: the menu says 4 pieces and they mean 4 full size pieces!) As good as the food was, the service was better. Every single person there was great but Chef Michael is the one that stood out. Our youngest has severe food allergies, he told us what he could have and immediately let the kitchen know about his allergies. He explained every dish we asked about, gave recommendations and was just an all around great individual to speak with. We will be back, often.

Claudia G.

Yelp
We ordered from here to go about two weeks ago and the food was delicious, the service was excellent and polite . The place was already 5 minutes from closing and they still took our order , but from what it looks they have good ambiance.

Emmett G.

Yelp
Most items are really delicious; like chicken/sausage gumbo, oysters any way, po-boys, dirty rice and crawfish etoufee. Generous servings

Christine D.

Yelp
My family of four arrived Sunday afternoon during the tail end of the lunch rush. There was a line of maybe four families before us but plenty of tables open that workers were busily clearing off. The restaurant is a counter service style place where you order before sitting down. There is a section to the side for full service near the bar. Our experience was a mixed bag...it just recently opened so I was expecting some hiccups. Some parts were great. Others, "meh" and some "WHY" moments. With toddler and a five year old in tow, counter service can get dicey if the wait times are long and they get antsy, but luckily the line moved very quickly. There were no menus to hold and look through, but they had backlit displays of their menus over the checkout area. I could not read any of it since my eyes are so bad, but I was able to use my camera on my phone to zoom in and see the menu. Convenient? Definitely not, but so many places are doing away with physical menus so you adapt and learn. A QR code to scan with a link to the menu as you walk in would be LOADS easier and give me more time to make a decision in linie, too, especially for those newer to the establishment. Service: We stood by one of the tables after ordering and holding our cups, food pager, and holding our kids while waiting for tables to be bussed. We asked two workers to clear our table for us and were ignored. They were going down the line in order, I suppose, and we were too far away. I prefer not to sit in the middle areas since my kids tend to tip out of chairs and being near walls is just easier with tables or a booth. We went to the bar area and asked the bartender to help clear a booth for us in that area and she helped us immediately. She cleared the table and wiped it down with a towel. She also wiped down the booth backs and seats with the same towel. When my husband went to pick up the food after our pager went off, only the adult orders were ready. He brought those back to our table and was told they would bring over the rest to us when it was done. My youngest tipped over his covered styrofoam cup, the lid popped off and the water spilled all over the table. A waiter came by and placed the kids' food on top of the spilled water as I was trying to clean it. He left. Maybe he didn't see the whole cups' worth of water on the table spreading everywhere. I went and got more napkins from the one-napkin-at-a-time dispenser to clean the mess, wiped the bottom of the kids' plates off and went to feed them. We had been sitting for less than ten mins, including the time it took for them to clean a table for us, by the time our food came out - so super fast food arrival for a sit down restaurant. The bartenders (3 different people) came by our booth to check on us regularly and even refilled my drink for me. The cleared the plates for the adults while we waited for the kids to finish their meals. They were super attentive to the people in their area at the tables even though their bar area was also full of patrons. I would definitely recommend sitting in the bar area if possible. Service on this side 5/5 for sure. 1/5 on the other side. Food: the kids meals (we got one fried shrimp and one chicken strips) were super delicious. 5/5 Crispy, juicy, huge portion for a child on both plates, and lots of fries. Not too much seasoning but not bland either. We ordered crawfish etouffee (large) and a fried catfish and shrimp combo to share. The kids' food tasted hot and fresh and ours was lukewarm at best. The sauce for the etouffee was super salty, but had a ton of crawfish tails and lots of rice. The toast helped tone down the saltiness a bit. The butterfly shrimp wasnt bad but the kids' fried shrimp was wayyy better. The fried catfish was nice and flaky, juicy on the inside and crispy on the outside. Texture wise it was great, but, again, it was slightly salty. But it could have been leftover saltiness from the etouffee. Ample fries with our order, large pieces of fish, and a good amount of butterfly fried shrimp. Etouffee 3/5, fried seafood combo 4/5. Our meal came out to be around $55 before tip. They have free kids meals with a $7 adult purchase on Wednesdays. The kids meals were great and both kids loved them. These meals and the bartenders were enough to convince me to try this place again...some time in the future - for kids' meals...and try something new for the adults. I will update my review on our next visit and hope for a better overall experience.

Yelp
picked up some food last night and woke up this morning with food poison. I would never go back and eat at this place ever again. and the food got me and my wife real sick and I ask for a refer but the guy I talk to was very rude. and I will never eat there again

Lena A.

Yelp
Everyone is so friendly here! This place does get busy in the afternoons and weekends. Our visit was pleasant. You order at the counter and pick your food up when it's ready. It's a pretty large, open restaurant with a nice patio. Our meals were fresh and hot. It's a pricey spot, but has great quality meals. We will be back!
