Baking since 1919, Orsi’s is Little Italy’s carb‑loving cornerstone. Sicilian‑style pies, garlic bread, and deli staples fly out the door; grab‑and‑go is the move, but the flavors are pure Omaha heritage. Locals and editors alike treat it as sacred.

Walked here from our hotel (1.3 miles) in downtown. Not too bad of a walk, just a lot of uphill. Not too busy when we came. A lot of people picking up orders. We were obviously not from the area. There were 2 gentlemen working the front. One of them seamed like an owner/manager. He gave us a quick rundown and made a legit suggestion on what size we should get for our party. Suggested the half sheet combination. We got half pepperoni and half Italian sausage and green pepper. The pizza took about 15 minutes to come out. He even threw in some cheesy garlic bread for the table! There was extra cheese on the top so we did not realize until we took a bite that the side we thought was sausage and pepper was supreme. We already took bites, so we let the staff know. They were nice about it. I preferred the pepperoni slices. Great taste. The underside could have been a bit more done, but the sauce was good, the cheese and pepperoni were great, and the overall flavor of the pepperoni was one of the better pizzas I have had. The supreme was too busy in my opinion. It had ground beef and that was almost too much in some bites as it took as lot of the bite but was not as well seasoned. The others I came with really liked that side of the pizza though. Will definitely be back if I am in the area! Worth the walk, just uber back. You will be too full to walk!

I enjoyed this place while visiting Omaha. The service was very friendly, and the pizza had a great flavor, especially the tomato sauce. The seating area was nice, and the walls were decorated with great photos from past to present. Overall, a pleasant and tasty experience.

Google
This traveler from Iowa just looking for some great Italian food was VERY IMPRESSED with their food! Wonderful staff and delicious food! Went here on a whim just looking to get some grub and my expectations were BEYOND SURPASSED! Definitely something special here for anyone of any flavor!

I’ve been wanting to try Orsi’s for a bit. Had some friends in town, had just visited the Durham Museum so went to this place. A few notes…if you are imagining a cute ‘Little Italy” w several restaurants with a cute neighborhood w an Italian vibe…that place is long gone. Orsi’s itself, has a vine. Also, the goods it sells (bakery/pasta), don’t imagine an Italian Market, it’s very homey in a good way. The food itself was great. Tried a pizza w half pepperoni and half mushroom. They bake the cheese on top so some ingredients are difficult to see. It’s totally worth a visit, and writing this even at 7:45am has me wanting to try it again! Oh, their cheese bread comes w a side of sauce which is fantastic!

Oh my goodness, I don't even know where to begin. This place is amazing. Just an old school vibe. Loved the solid building first of all. Then the mural outside was everything. Then went inside.... Wow. This is Little Italy. The vibe was electric.... Told them I loved the place and before you know it they are just welcoming me brought out fresh garlic bread, Frank sliced me some of the best salami I've ever had.. Then comes the hot fresh garlic bread... Did I mention it's a bakery of bread... I absolutely love this place. The rich history... Mind blown. Everyone was so nice. The place was so clean, even the bathrooms were spotless. It was none stop in this place. Super busy from opening. My daughter Ashley mad the best choice ever. Even the customers were telling their stories of the place. Can't say enough about the hospitality. Had to take a Pic withe the fellas

Google
This now ranks as one of my all-time favorite places I’ve eaten. The pizza was piled with fresh toppings and beyond delicious. But what really makes this place is the vibe. It’s a third-generation family owned business, and the owner knew half the people who walked in after I ordered. Very friendly and gave me a free loaf of their Italian twist bread (some of the best bread I’ve ever had) and garlic bread. You must try it if you’re in Omaha!

Google
10/10. Real authentic flavors. The smell of the place is heavenly. They treat you like family the second you walk in. Prices incredibly fair. Bread was sensational. Deli meats to die for. The olives fresh and homestyle. Pizza hits differently. The tomato sauce is absolutely phenomenal. Highly recommend. The whole place is an experience. Easily one of the best spots in Omaha

Google
This little pizza shop feels much more like a deli than a pizza restaurant. But the pizza is pretty good. We got a medium mushroom pizza and a side of ricotta cookies. The pizza was a square pan pizza, with a good sauce and a good amount of toppings. The cookies are like sugar cookies but not as heavy. Our order came with a side of garlic cheese bread which was simple and tasty.

Yelp
Another glorious pilgrimage to Little Italy and, once again, Orsi's did not disappoint. After a long, chaotic Saturday, our family was starving and deeply uninterested in even looking at the kitchen. So naturally, I called up our old faithful, Orsi's. I placed an order for three half sheets of pizza. If you haven't had a half sheet, just know it's basically a beautiful beast: 12 big, cheesy, delicious pieces that could probably feed a small army or at least my very hungry family. We went with a combo, beef, and pepperoni. The building itself? Totally unassuming. The inside? Also lowkey. But the moment you open that door, you're hit with the smell of fresh-baked heaven. It's like getting a warm hug from an old friend who also happens to bake amazing carbs. While we waited, we browsed the sundries (yes, Orsi's has sundries). Loaves of fresh bread, rolls, and all kinds of specialty goodies. I couldn't resist and ordered six cannoli. Half vanilla, half chocolate, and made fresh to order, because Orsi's does things the right way. The pizza was hot, cheesy, and loaded with toppings. The crust has that perfect chew. The cannoli? Crisp shells, creamy filling, and the best sweet ending to a pizza feast. We've been here before, and we'll be back again and again. As long as Orsi's is slinging pies in Little Italy, they'll have our loyalty...and probably a good chunk of our pizza budget.

Yelp
Found Orsi's on Yelp for a quick lunch on my visit to Omaha. The building doesn't look like much on the outside, but the inside was warm and friendly. The owner greeted us immediately and helped us with the menu: 6 slices is a half sheet rectangle and a mini (4 slices in a regular round). The combination allows whatever toppings you want. The owner surprised us with free cheesy garlic bread since it was our first visit. The dining room was quiet since most customers--there was a steady stream while we were eating--got take out or stopped in for fresh bread. The space was large and comfortable with plenty of seating. The pizzas were hot, fresh and filled with lots of toppings. Orsi's is in a quiet neighborhood so plenty of free street parking.

Yelp
In the heart of little Italy in Omaha and close to the botanical gardens is Orsis Italian bakery. Lots of photos fill the walls of the nostalgic times throughout the years where this staple bakery pizza place has been apart of the Omaha community. The service was great. They realized we were not locals and welcomed us in giving us complimentary garlic knots. Their pizza was very tasty and piping hot. Stop by spaghetti and meatball statue close by!
google avatar

James M.

Yelp
Service, food and ambience hits. We relied on our server to help guild our decision. We originally wanted the double crusted pie, but they were out of potato's. Wahhh so we went with the combination. No regrets!! The garlic bread was yum too. Check out the pics. Sooo good

Yelp
If you enjoy pizza and haven't been to Orsi's yet, I truly have no idea what you're waiting for! Granted they are not open very late into the evening, but the pizza is delicious and the folks working here are always SO nice! We got a quarter sheet (medium) pizza with onions to go and placed the order by phone and the pizza was done within 20 minutes. The place, in addition to being a restaurant, is also an Italian bakery/mini grocery store with lots of great offerings! There was also a little dine in area, but I'm not sure how active the in-store dining is. It was on the quieter side on this Saturday evening right before closing time. My pizza was ready to go and the man who rang me up (the owner, I believe) threw in a bag of fresh rolls for free - so so sweet! The pizza is super delicious! It's a thicker crust pizza that's a little crispy and chewy. The sauce is perfection and the flavor of the tomato sauce is very good! I highly recommend this pizza to any and everyone! Next time, I definitely want to try a goudarooni!
google avatar

Yelp
This is the freshest pizza I have had here in Omaha. All fresh ingredients tasted absolutely amazing. The cannoli was delicious

Yelp
Had Orsi's tonight for the first time. We drove down since they now have dining room. It was absolutely amazing. It's that old school pizza that was always good that you just don't find that often anymore. Cheese on pizza is perfectly cooked . Love that there is zero preservatives in their ingredients. And that they are still using all the same ingredients from the 1960's. They also greeted us so friendly and made us feel so welcomed. They literally gave us 2 loafs of their homemade bread as a gift when we left. Can't wait to eat there again.

Yelp
Guess who LOVES Orisi's pizza more than my family? NOONE!!!!! Freshly made to order, freeze what you don't eat in freezer bags and it lasts us for months...pull out and toaster over it..yummness in minutes! Meat lovers FAMILY SIZE PIZZA, and PEPPERONI and PINEAPPLE FAMILY SIZE PIZZA...is what we bought for our family of 2tonight! Sometimes you gotta live a little...ORSI's is always ready with your order (call ahead) when you arrive...I highly recommend!
google avatar

Ivette M.

Yelp
Orsis is just over the top good! Local owned shop around since I can remember, I used to go to school down the street and our pizza parties always included Orsis. Can't go wrong with a simple pepperoni pizza, we get the party size for work and let me tell you, we still have leftovers! You can also get cold cuts, bread, and Italian desserts in the shop! Almost like a food, one stop shop!
google avatar

Leah R.

Yelp
Orsi's deli is a must-visit! They have an excellent selection of high-quality meats and cheeses, some of which are homemade. I like that they slice the meat and cheese right in front of you when you order. The staff were friendly and efficient, and the dining area is really nice. We recently enjoyed dining in with a pizza for lunch and grabbing fresh lunch meat from the deli to go!
google avatar

Nancy E.

Yelp
Orsi's pizza is perfect. The crust is soft, with crispy edges. The toppings are super customizable but we typically just keep it simple by ordering pepperoni and olives- SO SO good! We loved the garlic cheesy bread that comes with a savory, slightly sweet red sauce to dip them in. There is typically a line to order when we arrive but the workers are fast, and welcoming. This is spot gives off such an old school homey feeling which I really enjoy!

Yelp
It's not often that a pizza makes you stop and relish in how good it is, but this one did for me. This decades-old bakery and pizza joint doesn't have any seating, but it's absolutely worth stopping by to grab a pizza or two (and what looks like incredible bread) to share. Made with fresh dough, delicious sauce, and whatever toppings you choose, every bite is a symphony of flavor. In the four days I was in town, this was my favorite -- I'd highly recommend it and will 100% return the next time I'm in Omaha!

Shamus M.

Yelp
A very enjoyable visit as we stopped for dessert and for some shopping. The staff was very helpful even on a busy night before closing. I will be back at this omaha institution.

Yelp
Was a little disappointed no ambiance but delicious bread bought pumpernickel and the old Orsi's white bread!! The place was clean but no ambience people pleasant bread delicious

Yelp
I had a serious pizza craving and, after scrolling through Yelp, I stumbled upon Orsi. While Omaha's downtown was quiet and peaceful, Orsi opened up to a whole new world of bustling energy--people like me, laughing, ordering pizzas, and watching a game on the TV. It was like entering a lively pizza haven. The best part? You can watch them make the pizzas from scratch right in front of you, which only increases your hunger--seriously, it's a magic trick. Beyond their pizzas, they're also known for garlic bread and cannoli, but I had to stick to my pizza cravings for this visit. I ordered a slice of classic Margherita and another with olives, chicken, and mushrooms. The crust was perfection--crispy on the edges, soft in the middle--and the sauce hit all the right notes. I took the pizzas to go, and they packed them up nicely for me. By the time I got back to my hotel room, it was a little on the cold side, but honestly, it was still delicious! I remember savoring every bite like it was my last meal. I'm a bit picky when it comes to pizzas (what pizza lover isn't?), and I can confidently say this was one of the best pizzas I've had in Omaha. If you're in the area, definitely give Orsi a try--just be prepared to leave with a full stomach and a big smile.

Yelp
The smell is amazing. We popped in around lunchtime hoping to be able to eat there but there's really no where comfortable to sit and the line was long. We opted to come back later and pick up a pie for dinner. We did just that and there was no line. We got ours half baked so we could finish heating them at home. They were good but not as good as expected based on the reviews. I wouldn't go out of my way to get it again.

Nate G.

Yelp
The pizza. Amazing. The cannoli. Delicious. The guy at the counter was super chill. We talked about the Royals and he complimented my Bobby Witt Jr jersey. Feels like has history and it's been part of the community for decades. Probably because it has. Love it, highly recommend!
google avatar

Barbi B.

Yelp
I haven't had pizza here yet but I just walked over in the morning to pick up one of their fresh Italian twist loaves. Gosh, it's so good and exactly what I was hoping for. Fresh bread is unbeatable! They didn't have any out on the shelves but the guy at the counter went back and grabbed a loaf for me just like that! Also grabbed some pasta noodles while I was there. Might make this a regular Saturday morning walk!
google avatar

Leeza S.

Yelp
A coworker told me about Orsi's, as a new person to Omaha. I ordered a sausage and onions pizza. The ingredients are so fresh. This is the best pizza I have had since I moved here. I will definitely be coming back!
google avatar

Apple I.

Yelp
The pizza was ok. The bread was great and the dough for the pizza was very good. The pizza lacked flavor though. I tried the meat lovers, supreme, cheese and pepperoni. The Supreme was my favorite, but tasted more like French bread style pizza than anything else.
google avatar

Dean D.

Yelp
Goodness! I was told by my wife we were picking up an order..it was 2 giant family sized pizzas ...meat lovers...24 slices...and a pepperoni pineapple..another 24 slices ... Thank gawd we drove the jeep! Her family's favorite pizza ..Then I was instructed to carry out 8 loaves of bread
google avatar

Jeffrey L.

Yelp
One of the last vestiges of Omaha's Little Italy. Coming soon a dining area! A wide collection of Italian food. Plenty of fresh deli meats and cheeses. A very loyal clientele will these keep this place alive for years to come.

Yelp
Can't say enough about this vintage Italian bakery and pizzeria in Omahas Little Italy neighborhood. It's an old neighborhood that has been gentrified with newer apartments but this little place by the railroad tracks and tunnel give it a classic charm. The owner, Jim, is a real standup guy. I was visiting in town for the celebration of life for a family member and resident of this neighborhood. He instantly knew who she was when I mentioned my reason for visiting the area and we connected on that and had a great conversation about the neighborhood and his life. The pizza was outstanding. The saucy is a little heavy and spicy but it's homemade. I love the cheese is melted on top of the pepperoni. The cheesy bread was also delicious. My wife loved the homemade Italian cookies as well. This is a must visit if in Omahas little Italy.
google avatar

Andrea T.

Yelp
I've only tried the pizza here, so I can't comment on their other offerings. They specialize in Sicilian pizza. The taste reminds me of La Casa but with a better crust. While the pizza was generous in portion size, Sicilian style isn't my personal preference. Beyond pizza, Orsi's is a charming little establishment stocked with an impressive selection of Italian deli cheeses, meats, sausages, and olives. It's been around since 1919, which speaks volumes about its commitment to quality. If you're looking for authentic Italian ingredients, this is the place to go to.
google avatar

Jen M.

Yelp
Great local bakery, I love the breads and rolls that are baked fresh here each day. The white bread is an Omaha classic. Rye and pumpernickel are here too. They have the rye recipe from the Bohemian Café, though this is a controversial topic in the local rye-bread community as the Bohemian Cafe also sold bread from Ferd's bakery. It's good, regardless; give it a try. They have a selection of specialty grocery items, and a deli case with delicious meats and cheeses. I also love the homemade red pepper sauce and the olive selection. The pizza...well, Omaha also has pizza rivalries. Personally, Orsi's pizza is a little too bread-forward for my taste. Makes sense, though, as this is a bakery. It's made with quality ingredients and it's always been well-prepared when I've had it. The flavor is good, I just prefer a thinner crust. I like that you can buy it as a sheet, which is convenient to bring to a party or event.

Yelp
Just old school wonderful people and food !! Certainly one of the best pizza places in Omaha if not #1
google avatar

Sara M.

Yelp
Is always excellent! My daughter-in-law was an Orsi before she married my son. Orsis is the go-to for our large family's birthday parties & other celebrations.

Dwane H.

Yelp
Vacationed in Omaha from SoCal. This was on my bucket list of places to visit in Omaha. Ordered the half sheet combo pizza. It exceeded my family and I expectations. When my family and I visit Omaha again we will definitely be going back. The pizza from this place will not disappoint.
google avatar

Shelby C.

Yelp
Small little place good for takeout, not dining in. Owner or guy working through in a loaf of their bread for free. Good pizza. Good crust and amount of toppings.
google avatar

Meg B.

Yelp
Awesome pizza from an awesome family. I worked with the owner Jim on a big event I was planning and he was so helpful in assisting my order. Having never had Orsi's before, I wasn't sure what to get and for as many people as I was expecting. I ended up with a few different options, including vegetarian. The Margarita was by far the best with sun dried tomates, oh my gosh, definitely a must get during the summer time. The garlic bread was also very good and everyone was super satisfied!!
google avatar

Sarina P.

Yelp
I have loved this place for years. Jim, the owner, treats everyone like family. The food is delicious. Dine in seating area is great however yet to actually sit in as we've been taking to-go for so many years, it's what we are used to. Highly recommend their "double crust" broccoli + beef + potato pizza to everyone! Get a side of marinara sauce to dip it into.
google avatar

Jeremy M.

Yelp
Lovely Italian bakery churning out items for over a hundred years. Didn't get to try any of the pizza as we were there in the early morning but the breads we purchased were delicious.
google avatar

Tiffany K.

Yelp
I ordered a full sheet, half cheese/half pepperoni for 9 people and it was just enough. The pizza is alright. The location is close to my house and I needed a big pizza for a birthday. I've eaten Orsi's a few times but this was the first time I went inside the restaurant itself. There was a sign on the door that said no pictures, so I didn't take any of the restaurant's layout. I almost ate the pavement carrying the extremely large pizza box. There's a little slope when you walk out of the restaurant and onto the street. I just wasn't used to it being that I haven't been to this place before.
google avatar

Maki R.

Yelp
My friends recommended this to me, since then we get our pizza only from here and make sure we get the biggest size. amazingly delicious. From pie, meat, sauce Perfect and of course my fav cannoli
google avatar

Jon M.

Yelp
Everything fresh made great pizza and for hot summer day cannolis are a good treat to finish off the day.
google avatar

Sara F.

Yelp
My favorite cannolis--Orsi's Italian Bakery; half vanilla and half chocolate. Half all meat and half pepperoni pizza, garlic bread, and a loaf for oil and balsamic. Call ahead and pick up is quick; with the owner most likely friendly greeting you behind the counter. There's also an Italian store inside with meats, cheeses, bread, seasonings, etc... when you enter the building. Look around and head to the back counter for pick up.

Yelp
This place has such great Italian food that we went twice on our vacation. We have a local friend who told us on our trip to Omaha, we just have to stop by Orsi's. So glad we did! The owner was so nice. We got there right after a rush of people so he had a minute to chat. He gifted us the best garlic bread I've ever had. We got a 1/4 sheet sausage pizza and my husband said it's the best pizza he's ever had. I loved the texture of the sausage -- it is nicely crumbled and not huge bites of just meat. The sauce is so tasty. The lady ahead of us was nice enough to tell us of her favorites: hard dinner rolls and a twist loaf of Italian bread--which I got and was still warm from being freshly baked. And I got the frosted ricotta cookies which are addictive! It's like a sugar cookie only soft with just the right amount of delicious frosting. So good! Headed back home with 2 "half baked" 1/4 sheet pizzas (so we can freeze them for later), rye rolls, hard rolls, Italian twist loaf, (raw) sausage, Pastrami, a 1/2&1/2 cannoli, and more garlic bread! We will definitely be back!!!
google avatar

Brian K.

Yelp
I hate to be that guy - and it's just my opinion as a non-Italian, but we left our Orsi's experience pretty disappointed. The pizza was ok - we did several varieties and the combo / supreme was a real let down. Unseasoned ground beef makes no sense on a pizza in my book. The Hawaiian portion was good, but not great. Even the cannolis, which I'm a huge cannoli fan, were filled with vanilla pudding instead of a mascarpone or ricotta mix. The guys working the counter were super pleasant and the place smelled authentic - I really wanted to like it...but sadly I just didn't.

Kim C.

Yelp
Some of the best pizza in town. They have added some tables for people to eat there which will be nice. We drive to Orsi's about once a month from Elkhorn. So worth the time! Pro tip..get your pizza half baked and finish it in your oven at home if you have a drive.
google avatar

Madelyn H.

Yelp
Wow! If you want to support a local business this one is IT! Kind, compassionate and on top of it all the food is INCREDIBLE. They have a cute grocery area on the right when you walk in. There is a small bench to sit and wait for your order but it's not a spot to take a big group. Order a full sheet for a group of 9+ and have a nice picnic outside! Again, good people run this place and work hard. I highly recommend
google avatar

Tisha B.

Yelp
This Delicious Emporium is one to search out!!! The Sliced Italian Twist bread far reaches any expectations. Dense, great flavor and texture with a crispy crust. What else could you ask for.... Oh wait some sliced meats & cheeses. Yes please! Made a sammie and it was EXACTLY what I'd been looking for! There pizza and other options looked fantastic. Stop in and get the goods. I'll be back to pick up more. See you soon Jim(owner)‼

Jim B.

Yelp
Pizza was good, sheets work well for large group which we had. Nothing fancy just good basic pan pizza.
google avatar

Terry O.

Yelp
If you want great take away pizza, you can't miss with Orsi's pizza. Started in 1919, Orsi's Italian bakery has been providing freshly made bread and pizza in the same location ever since. There's also a deli and Italian grocery items imported from Italy. I always go for the pizza and sometimes some Italian cookies. The pizzas are square Sicilian style. Today we got a half and half pizza with green peppers and onions on one side and pepperoni on the other. The crust and sauce are perfect. You can also get a goudarooni, a double crust pizza, but we have never tried that one yet. I call ahead and usually when I pick up my pizza, there are other people doing the same thing but it goes fast. This is a takeaway place only, so you'll have to take this Italian goodness home to give it a try.

Mike P.

Yelp
Orsi's pizza is an Omaha cult favorite. Their bread can be found in locally owned restaurants across the city in places like Burger Lust and The Greek Islands Service is friendly. The ambiance is that of a neighborhood deli. Best mortadella in town. Drop by on game day and you will see pizza lovers lined up around the block. An Omaha treasure.

Eddie S.

Yelp
Got recommended by a local and the food was amazing! Ordered a sausage pizza and the owner even threw in breadsticks for my first time. Overall great service and have been getting my pizza here ever since
google avatar

Daniel P.

Yelp
You certainly can't complain about the quantity of food here. This is well above average and always has a high standard.
google avatar

Tracy L.

Yelp
There are not enough words to describe how much I LOVE Orsi's. Since I've moved to Omaha at the end of September, I've been there like 10+ times. The fresh baked bread is amazing. The sauce is liquid gold , I always get a large container to go. I use the sauce in my lasagna. Oh, and their cannolis's are fantastic. This place has been around since 1919, and I understand why you don't mess with perfection.
google avatar

Sophie Y.

Yelp
Read all these rave reviews and thought of giving it a try since it was established in 1919. It has to be great as it is still around. Had a quarter sheet with Canadian bacon, pineapple and mushrooms. Ordered ahead and pick up in 30 minutes. Hubby was eager to try this pizza. It's inside an Italian market and paid $19 for the pizza. First bite was meh, the crust wasn't chewy, didn't find any mushrooms, no stretching cheese, etc. Unsure why others said this is a hidden gem. It's not terrible but average.

Yelp
We have lived in Omaha over 20 years now, in the downtown residential area (Old Market, Little Italy, Little Bohemia areas) and have been aware of Orsi's, but we just called for pizza and paid for a chain store to deliver the food, waiting for 30 minutes or more for warm food that occasionally comes incorrect. And we live in the neighborhood, and like to support local businesses. So I suggested we try Orsi's. We decided to place an order on a Friday night, during the Nebraska football team's game. I called ahead and ordered a "mini" pizza (it's quoted as a 9 inch, round with a choice of toppings). I have a personal combination from my days of working at my favorite pizzeria in Chicago that I use for comparisons. The Orsi's version is very generous with the ingredients and the 9 inch estimate is conservative. We also got a half sheet that is cut into 12 generous squares. There is a full sheet option, too. You call your order ahead and they advise you that it will likely take 30 minutes to complete. When you place the order you are given a time to pick up the food. I am always a little ahead of those types of estimates (in case they finish early) but they were pretty much on time, so I was picking up food essentially straight from the oven. I have a 5 minute drive and my food was still very hot. If you enjoy your pizza hot and fresh, I suggest you give Orsi's a call.
