Another glorious pilgrimage to Little Italy and, once again, Orsi's did not disappoint.
After a long, chaotic Saturday, our family was starving and deeply uninterested in even looking at the kitchen. So naturally, I called up our old faithful, Orsi's. I placed an order for three half sheets of pizza. If you haven't had a half sheet, just know it's basically a beautiful beast: 12 big, cheesy, delicious pieces that could probably feed a small army or at least my very hungry family.
We went with a combo, beef, and pepperoni.
The building itself? Totally unassuming. The inside? Also lowkey. But the moment you open that door, you're hit with the smell of fresh-baked heaven. It's like getting a warm hug from an old friend who also happens to bake amazing carbs.
While we waited, we browsed the sundries (yes, Orsi's has sundries). Loaves of fresh bread, rolls, and all kinds of specialty goodies. I couldn't resist and ordered six cannoli. Half vanilla, half chocolate, and made fresh to order, because Orsi's does things the right way.
The pizza was hot, cheesy, and loaded with toppings. The crust has that perfect chew. The cannoli? Crisp shells, creamy filling, and the best sweet ending to a pizza feast.
We've been here before, and we'll be back again and again. As long as Orsi's is slinging pies in Little Italy, they'll have our loyalty...and probably a good chunk of our pizza budget.
