"While nothing the Frasca Hospitality Group does qualifies as “cheap,” aperitivo hour at this Italian destination proves it can be a relative bargain. From 4 p.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday, $25 can get you an olive oil-laced Tuscan Martini and a plate of fritto misto, a limoncello spritz and an order of the famous frico caldo, or even a beer and a Margherita pizza, to name a few of the oh-so-civilized possibilities that await. "The Frasca Hospitality Group’s splashy new Italian go-to in Englewood plans to gussy up its regular menu for Christmas Eve by offering the option to add shaved black or white truffles to, well, just about anything: agnolotti del plin with mortadella, fontina, pistachio, and rosemary, say, or the whole branzino with Trapanese pesto, basil, and orange, or even the mushroom pizza with taleggio and caramelized onion. It also plans to serve up a few specials for the occasion. As sibling restaurant Pizzeria Alberico, this Neapolitan charmer is upholding tradition by hosting Christmas Eve at Nonna’s, where Italian American classics and select pizzas will be available a la carte from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m." - Ruth Tobias, Eater Staff

"At this suave suburban sanctuary from the famed Frasca Hospitality Group, the selection of pies is smaller than that of its Boulder sibling Pizzeria Alberico but every bit as artful: Time-tested recipes and impeccably sourced ingredients will whisk any diner who’s ever been to Naples straight back in their minds. (Pro tip: When possible, add shaved truffles to the Funghi pizza.)" - Gigi Sukin, Paul Albani-Burgio, Ruth Tobias

"Single-handedly turning Englewood into hot property, the famed Frasca Hospitality Group has just moved in with this pitch-perfect ode to Italy’s cozy neighborhood joints, where rising star chef Russell Stippich keeps the comforts coming — fritto misto with smelt; roast pork loin with Honeycrisp apples and dandelion vinaigrette; pizza with speck, corn, and crème fraîche; butterscotch pudding — while the bar pours spritzes, Negronis, and of course wines from across the Boot. Think of it as a slice of Tavernetta in the suburbs." - Ruth Tobias, Eater Staff

I dined here recently with family of Italian heritage and someone who just returned from a trip to Italy and was thoroughly impressed by the fare, especially the Crudo, Pappardelle, and Primavera. This is the best Italian restaurant I have experienced and Chef Russell definitely has put together some memorable and creative dishes. We loved our dinner so much and will be back! I also appreciated the server’s extensive knowledge along with the services of a separate sommelier that is usually not found in restaurants outside of those that are top tier expensive establishments. I’d recommend making a reservation beforehand, and I am sorry there’s only one picture, but I was too into the food and genuinely forgot to capture more!

Osteria Alberico is such a welcome addition to the neighborhood. We went unexpectedly for an early dinner and every aspect was such a delight. We got a smattering of several dishes on the recommendations of our server. Each dish was beautifully plated and absolutely delicious. The branzino came highly recommended and did not disappoint. The only thing that outshined the wonderful meal was the amazing service. We interacted with several of the staff and each and every person brought a depth of knowledge and the warmth of hospitality. We’re eager to return and recommend this spot to others.

The food was presentable and very tasty, they have freshly made pasta. We also ordered focaccia bread but it was dry. The vanilla gelato was very good. High prices but good quality overall. If you sit outside be aware that we e is noise from the road.

Google
We had a wonderful dinner and time. They got us in without a reservation (not sure if you usually need one). We started with the Suppli al telefono (deep fried risotto cheese balls) and the focaccia, both were delicious. We had the rigatoni cacio e pepe my husband really enjoyed it and the mafaldine which was very flavorful and delicious. On the side we had the zucca squash and is was good with toasted pepitas. Lastly we had the budino dessert and is was perfect, creamy and chocolatey. We had the San Marco spritz to drink and it was awesome. Our server was very knowledgeable and personable and made some great recommendations.

Amazing food, knowledgeable servers, great atmosphere! Went with my husband for date night. Ian was a great server and even brought us free dessert. We will absolutely be back!

Google
Wonderful, somewhat eclectic Italian restaurant. Food was superior, all 8 of us served at the same time, great staff coordination, Starters unexpectedly superior, mains also. Highly recommended, had to wait 35 minutes past our reservation time for a table of eight, turned out to worth the wait.

Google
Osteria Alberico is unequivocally awesome. The staff is incredibly attentive and clearly passionate about the menu. The sommelier is a delight, offering insightful wine pairings that perfectly complemented each dish. And the food? Simply exquisite. A must-visit!

Yelp
Osteria Alberico is a gem in Englewood. Although walk-ins are accepted, I highly recommend reservations as all tables and bar seats were full on a Tuesday evening. Food is comforting and plentiful - perfect for sharing. We went for my bestie's birthday and we were not disappointed. We were seated at a high top across from the bar area. Seating was very comfortable which is unusual for high tops. It was obvious that care went into selecting the furniture and the decor. We could see the busy kitchen as well as the quiet yet efficient expediting of meals. The head chef raised his fingers to indicate how many servers would be needed to carry dishes to a table. We started with the marinated olives and fresh focaccia. The olives come "with bone" meaning with pit. Olives were marinated in a great blend of garlic and fennel. The focaccia was airy and perfect for our next dish, Rigatoni Cacio e Pepe. This flavorful pasta dish was made with simple ingredients of pecorino ramano, black pepper, and homemade pasta. The spiciness of the pepper paired well with the creaminess of the cheese. The pasta shape was a perfect vessel to hold the sauce. We asked our server what her favorite meat dish was and she suggested the lamb. The agnella (lamb) was seasoned and cooked to perfection. There were 2 lollipops left on the bone with the fat for flavor. Seasoning included rosemary and was atop a bed of arugula in a syrupy saba balsamic with lemon. Since it was a birthday celebration, my friend was treated to their budino (an Italian pudding). A stemless wineglass was filled with delicious butterscotch, a layer of chocolate, and cream. An espresso martini and my shot of espresso was a perfect pairing to this sweet treat, Even though this restaurant is part of the group that brings you Michelin star restaurant Frasca and Bib Gourmand Tavernetta, Osteria Alberico has the same level of quality with the feel of home.

Yelp
This place is terrific - the only reason I deducted a star is that it's more challenging to get a table there than at many of the other Denver hot spots. The branzino was more than perfect. Even if you're fish hesitant, do it. The pastas and side dishes are great too! This menu is limited simply because every item in the is a superlative version. Unfortunately, you have to plan more than 10 days out to get a reservation and even then not at an ideal time.

Yelp
The Frasca Group and Bobby can do no wrong. The experience felt pretty flawless throughout. Before ordering, I was recommended a glass of rosé from our lead server that felt like she was a mind-reader. For two, we found that we may have put in the perfect order, in both quantity and best of the best on the menu. We started with the focaccia, made in house and perfectly paired with our other shareable, the cicoria - a grilled radicchio with the most umami dressing and doused in breadcrumbs. When not dipping the focaccia in the olive oil/vinegar mix, scoop up all the dressing from the cicoria. For mains, we ordered the agnolotti and the lamb. The agnolotti plating felt a bit underwhelming and the portion size could be larger but you'll receive no complaint from me since even just one on the plate would have sufficed (heavy exaggeration but also true) since they are heavenly. The lamb was perfectly cooked and maybe my favorite of everything we ordered. The burrata seems to be a fan-favorite recommendation from other friends, but the autumn seasonal variation seemed like a skip. Maybe next season. We'll be back for more soon. The actual location is the only thing that leaves a bit to be desired, nobody loves parking in the lot adjacent to the Super King Soopers. Though you never feel that while in the restaurant. The ambiance is lovely and cozy. While the dessert menu looked absolutely spot on, the real play is load up on yummy food and wine then head to Little Man next door for ice cream. And, therefore, I rescind my minor gripe.

Yelp
Lovely neighborhood gem with a romantic ambiance, excellent food & service, and affordable wine selections. Dining here felt like we were back in Italy. I have been in 3x and I have enjoyed each experience. Highly recommend!

Yelp
Was pleasantly surprised by this new restaurant! Had no idea what to expect since it's still very new (a few months old) but they were very on top of it. Some of the best service I've had recently! Food was delicious, and they have a wide array of wine. Family friendly and was super busy when we went, even on a Monday night.

Dave H.

Yelp
FOOD: High quality and good taste we'd expect from a restaurant group that includes Frasca. The menu feels a bit fragmented -- not a large number of dishes, and a lot of them appetizers or sides for a multi-course meal -- but we were all able to point to multiple things we'd each want, then or at the future. Started with some tasty focaccia (enough for a couple of pieces at our four-top) and an eggplant app that even my wife (who generally hates eggplant) liked. Ordered two pizzas (four-cheese and diavolo), and both were great. My brother's Malfadine pasta was good, and my wife's pork chop was also very, very tasty, done perfectly. Desserts (tira misu and some sort of butterscotch thing) were good, and/but distinctly un-sweet. The cocktail menu is decent, if heavy on the aperitif mixers. I had a drink with Calabrian chili tequila that was just on the edge of too hot. We ended up with the sommelier advising us on the huge wine list, and she picked something perfect and in our desired price range. SERVICE: Service was good, with an effort to be great, but the place was awfully busy (esp. for a Monday night). Our entrees sat in the pass for a few minutes before pickup, and each step of the process seemed to take a few minutes longer than desired. AMBIANCE: Upscale homey is what they are going for, and succeed at. Biggest problem is that the place was packed (again, on a Monday night), leading to loudish noise levels and difficulty navigating the aisles (ProTip to fellow diners -- if you spot an old friend across the room, wave at them, don't go over and stand next to their table and chat for several minutes). NET-NET: We've been looking for a upscale special dining place since "The Wooden Table" closed. This one might be a bit too crowded for that, but we're definitely intending on trying it several more times to make certain.

Yelp
Nice comfortable environment with a nice range of pasta & pizza + sides and dessert. They are located in Englewood opposite a King Soopers store. So shared parking. I sat at a high table opposite the bar and had a good view of the dining room behind me and the kitchen. I started with full strength gin martini with plenty of vermouth. My server, Syndee P gave me plenty of options to customize my drink. She offered still water or 4 different sparkling waters. I got Acqua Panna. I then had the Suppli al Telefono, a version of Arancini with fried risotto with mozzarella inside and covered in pecorino romano. My pasta dish was the Bucantini all'Amatricana. A nice filling dish. I paired it a Frasca Barolo which completed the pasta. For dessert, I got the classic tiramisu with a small glass of Vin Santo. Yummy dessert.

Yelp
Run, do not walk to the best Italian food in Denver! Can't even begin to describe how delicious this place is- but I'll give it a try. The location is busy, busy, busy. You can attempt to walk in with no reservations, but even on a week night, you're going to wait 45+ minutes. It is a smaller restaurant, so the bar seats eight people. We were sat in one of the most comfortable high tops I've ever sat in. The service was speedy considering how busy they were. As this was my birthday celebration dinner, we started with olives and focaccia bread-amazing! How do they get the bread so crisp on the outside and so soft on the inside? Just yum!! For our second course, the pasta we tried the Cacio e Pepe. I could eat this every meal! It's a simple pasta with butter, Parmesan and black pepper. It's so so so good. Their house made pasta matched with the perfect seasonings- chef's kiss! I will dream about this pasta for a long time!! For the main course, we split the lamb. This was done to perfection. The spices, balsamic vinaigrette, and the lamb itself- amazing! They definitely know how to do food here-which is why they have an order-for- takeout option as well that was clearly being used to a significant extent on a weeknight. To end the best birthday meal I've ever had, they brought out a birthday dessert that had notes of butterscotch and chocolate. I matched it with an espresso martini. As part of the company who owns the Michelin restaurants that have started up here in Denver and Boulder, this by far was my favorite. Now go get that pasta!!!

Yelp
Good things: Caprese salad perhaps best we have ever had with perfectly ripe heirloom tomatoes, fresh basil, imported burrata, olive oil all combined to make a wonderful version of this classic. Frasca group does it right with great service, very well trained wait staff, impressive attention to details like refilling your water glasses and removing plates promptly after asking if you are done. Very clean and rather upscale. There is a lengthy wine list by the bottle and a decent selection of wine by the glass --we liked both the Constantino Etna Bianco and the Scarpetta Cabernet Franc. Gin martini got rave reviews. Potential negatives: Pizza Guancia was just ok. Crust was thin, minimalist toppings, good but short of great. High end food quality and service comes at a cost. A reasonable expectation for two people to eat here would be a minimum of $100 plus tip if you have food with alcohol. Think about dressing up to perhaps a business casual level. Shorts are acceptable, but we noticed that the majority of patrons dressed a bit more formally. I think reservations are a near necessity. We booked about three weeks in advance and got a 5 PM dining time. The place was packed at that hour. Overall: it takes some effort to get to (and into) Frasca in Boulder and Tavernetta also has some "getting there" challenges. I consider myself lucky to live nearby this outpost. We will definitely be back to try some of the entrées. Just looking at the cars in the parking lot will be your first clue that you need to bring your gold credit card. Cost aside, this is a must try.

Yelp
Wow. Can't believe we get this quality of a restaurant so close to us and in a strip mall! Came here when I saw some people inside and pivoted from mod market. It's beautiful inside and everyone was dressed to the 9s! We sat at the bar where the bartender served us food and drinks super quickly and friendly! Got the fritto misto and it wasn't greasy at all. Delicious. We also shared the truffle pizza, which was a great thinly prepared pie. We had to get the caprese when the server told us it was flown in from Italy! Great atmosphere, delicious food, plenty of cocktails and wine. Don't be fooled by the location. This place is high end and a treat!

Andrea B.

Yelp
What a beautiful space and elevated dining experience! FYI, this restaurant has an intimate feel, hence our weeks long wait for a table for six. Most seating is two or four tops with, I believe, only two six tops. This is a spot for date night! On that note... Cocktails and wine were delicious and perfectly served. We started with the seasonal burrata and focaccia, both were excellent. Pasta dishes disappeared quickly and the two in our group who chose the pork chop entree said they were perfectly cooked and excellent flavor. Do not skip dessert!!! I will be dreaming of the butterscotch pudding with chocolate shell for a long time to come! It was a delight to watch how well the staff worked together and seamlessly served every table without missing a beat. We have loved Chef Russell since his days at Bar Dough and he has outdone himself with this exquisite new venue!

Irina M.

Yelp
This is such a welcome addition to the area. It is more of a special occasion restaurant due to the prices, but wow it is great food. The burrata is the best that I have ever had. We loved the pastas and wine selection is impressive, but expensive. The space is clean, the staff has always been so nice. They are great with having the kids and balancing the fine dining with families. I would highly recommend.

Joe S.

Yelp
Outstanding spot for apps, pasta and pizza. Great wine list and knowledgeable staff. Ravioli are outstanding and tomato burrata while simple is perfect.

Jay P.

Yelp
Food was excellent! My wife had the pork and I have to say is was the best pork I've ever had. Juicy and a lot of flavor. I ordered the Malfadine which is handmade pasta...the past was so tender and the sauce was incredible. Server was engaged, had a personality and actually knew the menu...you'd expect that but it is so rare these days. Can't say enough good things about this place, we'll be back.

Jessi G.

Yelp
We had been waiting forever for Osteria to open and it was worth the wait! The inside of the restaurant was refined and beautiful. Service was impeccable and we had multiple servers checking on us. It was super fancy and they would replace our silverware and glasses depending on what we ordered. We started with the caprese salad which0000 was absolutely divine! So flavorful and perfectly seasoned. My bf ordered the Margherita pizza which seemed like a must since the pizzas just went live on the menu tonight. Wow! Thin crust and so yummy. I ordered the Bucatini All'Amatriciana pasta. It was lukewarm and a bit salty but that could be just because of my muted taste due to Covid from a couple years back haha This was only their fourth night open so I'm sure they are working on their timing of dishes. Our waiter, Jack, was great and attentive! The star of the show though was the butterscotch pudding we ordered for dessert. OMG! It was absolutely to die for and I don't really enjoy sweets. Their vodka espresso was also on point and probably one of the best I've had. We shall definitely be returning!

J L.

Yelp
Great food and wine! Love having this restaurant in the neighborhood. Good gluten free options

Roland H.

Yelp
This is the new restaurant from the Frasca Group (Frasca and Pizzeria Alberico in Boulder + Tavernetta and Sunday Vinyl in Denver). Open less that two weeks but already firing on all cylinders! The Tuna Crudo was bright, fresh and delicious; the Pizza Margherita was perfect - the crust light and airy with a nice balance to the toppings. Service was excellent. Super interesting wine list and a beautiful space. Will be back!

Cynthia R.

Yelp
If you enjoy paying $17 for a 5 oz glass of wine, this place is for you. The food was good but portions were tiny compared to most restaurants. The servers are constantly replacing silverware which was really distracting. We were so excited to have a good place close to home to grab a good quality pizza and beer or wine. The pizza was good, especially the crust. The beer menu was sorely lacking, however. They did a nice job with the remodel but the chairs scraping on the floor made it very loud. Probably won't be back. Too many great italian places to choose from.

Florence C.

Yelp
My husband was surprised a simple margherita pizza was $20, so he called and asked the hostess how large it was before ordering. The hostess said 14", so he decided to give it a shot. The pizza we received was barely 12". Was it good? Yes. Is it worth $20? Absolutely not. We can get an equally good 16" margherita pizza from Blue Pan for $19. And it has way more cheese and sauce.

Beth L.

Yelp
First time dining at Osteria Alberico, and it was great! Service was top notch and the food was great. We had the Crudo and Olives for an app. Both were great and flavorful. We then had the lamb and the Garganelli. Both were awesome. We finished with the tiramisu, which was good. The vibe is good, the wine list is great and the pricing is really good, as well. We enjoyed our experience and are happy to have this great restaurant in our 'hood. We'll be back, for sure!

Joe B.

Yelp
Service is wonderful. Never felt neglected. Some might feel that it is a bit overbearing , I think because we are no longer used to detailed service. Our server Dawson was wonderful and explained everything on the menu which is for the most part in Italian. We nibbled on the olive appetizer and drank our wine while waiting on dinner. We never felt rushed but things moved along nicely. The food was very well prepared and very tasty. Definitely on our list of places to return to. I guess it's becoming popular quickly so reservations are probably a must.

John M.

Yelp
Disappointing! All of us in Cherry Hills have been excited for a great restaurant in our neighborhood. Unfortunately the food is not up to par for the prices. 1 small pizza, 1 simple pasta, and one salad. 2 tequila and sodas (not high end tequila) 1 glass of wine. $164.00 Many of our neighbors had similar experiences and were surprised by quality & prices...and let down. Hopefully the owner will realize this isn't Frasca in boulder. So step up the food or drop the prices. As for our waiter she was not attentive and more focused on going outside to smoke.

Molly M.

Yelp
I was excited to try to the new neighborhood spot and although the food was excellent, I have some feedback about the drinks.... I was thoroughly impressed with the wine list, however when I ordered the "half pour" this is what I received. I literally laughed when the bartender handed me the glass. The "tap water" tastes like mold and the bartender even validated it by saying "that's how Englewood water tastes so your choice is to buy bottled water". If I'm paying $19 for 5 slices of tomato and some burrata then I think the business should figure out a way to provide acceptable tasting, free drinking water.

Caroline V.

Yelp
So excited to have osteria Alberico close by! The food was great, we ate family style. We started off with the focaccia, it was a bit overcooked but still yummy. We loved the Quattro formaggi pizza! Our favorite item at every place by the frasca group is the Budino, absolutely must save room for this! The service was top notch as expected! The only hold back I have from the five stars, is the cocktails. It sounds silly, but the ice bothered me. They need to use the single big ice cubes is some over their drinks. Overall great experience and will return!

Sonia D.

Yelp
One of the worst dining experiences we have had in a long time. Our waiter was arrogant, pompous and inattentive. He went on and on about how wonderful the focaccia bread was. Once it arrived, it was cold and burnt. We ordered a salad to share. The salad was delicious, but we had to use our bread plates to eat the salad. We were not offered an additional plate for the salad. The 3 of us ordered different pasta dishes. Bacatini, Malfadine and Tagliatelle Neri. The first two were okay. The Tagliatelle Pasta was a lump of flour and water served on a plate. You could not tell it was pasta. We were really excited about the new addition to the neighborhood. We will not be going back.

Danielle S.

Yelp
Really enjoyed this place. Our server, Adam, was excellent and personable and helped us decide on delicious wine pairings. Nice ambiance, everyone seemed more on the dressy side. The foccia and cacio e pepe were tasty and good portions. Can't wait to come back to try a pizza.

Christina S.

Yelp
Food was delicious. The melt in your mouth Burrata and fresh tomatoes was a wonderful starter. I had the Quattro formaggio pizza (delicious!) and my husband had the bucatini. Andrew was our server and was very attentive. Definitely recommend and we'll be going back

Hanna S.

Yelp
Rarely do I give 5 stars. This is a wonderful addition to our area. The food was spectacular in every way, the service was charming and efficient. Just a great night out. If I have a criticism it would be that the menu is not filled with a lot of options but what we ordered was delicious. Don't miss the caprese salad, pizzas, branzino and dessert, All the dessert choices at our table were gobbled up- peach crumble, tiramisu, butterscotch budino. Great , elegant and still approachable.

Michael L.

Yelp
Great food and service. The pizza was great and is similar in cost and size to other higher end restaurants that serve pizza. The pasta was the highlight though. We had two pasta dishes and they were both fantastic. If you want to have a pie and a beer for cheap, maybe consider elsewhere, but if you want quality Italian, this is a great spot.

Colin. B.

Yelp
Wine amount was small. Friend had Vodka that didn't cover the ice cubes. Cacio e Pepe was grey. Rigatoni vs bucatini your suppose to use. My recommended selection of lobster ravioli featured 5 with small sliced tomatoes. Too much red sauce to cover the taste. We complained a bit but were told there hasn't been any complaints. Lies. Don't ever need to go back.

Joe S.

Yelp
For Colorado this place felt stuffy but given the hood it wasn't a surprise. Service was annoying, felt like the guy was breathing down my neck. Constant upsell. I was hesitant when my date wanted the calamari and smelt appetizer. Sure enough my intuition was correct. Gross. Batter had zero flavor and what they called aioli was nothing but a squirt of mayo. Pizza was small and took 40 minutes to bring out. Had too much red pepper which overwhelmed all other flavors. Good thing ice cream was next door otherwise the night would have been a major disappointment.

Gulliermo P.

Yelp
finally, a great restaurant near Cherry Hills. We will go back many times. The food was excellent atmosphere is wonderful.

Emma H.

Yelp
Awesome, love love having this in the neighborhood! Top quality and many gluten free options available. Great service, especially so close to opening, give it a try! Loved our experience

Brianna M.

Yelp
Kind of disappointing. Didn't get to eat here - just be aware that a reservation is pretty much required, they don't have open bar seating.

John S.

Yelp
My wife and I are huge fans of Tavernetta, so we were so excited to check out their more causal sister restaurant Osteria Alberico right around the corner from our house. First off, the quality of the food was mostly excellent. Pasta was fresh, burrata was outstanding, lamb was cooked perfect and flavorful. Where the restaurant falls short (at this point...it is only day 3 since opening) is the portions are too small relative to the prices. For example, the fritto misto was $21, but tiny, less than half the size of the same dish at Tavernetta, which costs $30. The vegetable sides ranged from $12-$15, but again the portions were very small for that price and Tavernetta veggie sides are only $10 each. The lobster ravioli, for $36, was only three medium sized raviolis. When we received the $210 bill for three people with no alcohol (before tip), we were left feeling underwhelmed and like we should have gone to Tavernetta for that price. Either the portion sizes need to increase or the prices need to go down. It should also be said that service was great, and we really enjoyed our server, Romeo.
