Went here on a Saturday afternoon with friends and had an amazing time. Be sure to book a reservation in advance because it gets filled quickly! This Italian-Japanese restaurant is very creative is not only the presentation of the food but the flavors as well. Every plate is small so with a group I recommend ordering a bunch so you can try it out many different dishes!
What we ordered: (shared between 3)
-tortellini, truffle & kombu: 100/10, £15, I loved this dish a bit too much, was so flavorful with truffle and warm with the perfectly cooked tortellini.
-scallops, apple & hazelnut: 100/10, £18 another amazing dish, the thinly sliced apples with scallops topped with hazelnut pair really well together the crunch from the apple and hazelnuts add a great touch. the presentation in the shell adds +10.
-ox tongue & kizami wasabi: 7/10, £14, the ox tongue itself was amazing but for my personal taste the wasabi wasn’t my favorite
-tagliolini, tuna, mentaiko & kombu cured caviar: 9/10, £24, i am a caviar connoisseur! with the tuna and sauce, mmm MMM mmm!!
-roasted plum & nori focaccia: 100/10, £4, the roasted plum with the hot focaccia was a bite everyone deserves to taste, it is made im house daily which adds an extra layer of homeness, pro tip: dipping the focaccia in the tagliolini sauce is an even more flavourfull event
-sausage & unagi risotto: 8/10, £22, the tiny sausage pieces were grilled to a good crisp, the risotto was good to a great softness that paired with the unagi-chefs kisss!!
-polenta fries: 9/10, £6, WOW, bring the parmesan-the more the better! the crunch on these fries are unreal
-puntarelle, katsuobbushi & sobacha: 2/10, £10, personally was not a fan of this dish as my tastebuds just didn’t like it, my other two friends did like the taste. it was super fishy due to the katsuobbushi which is shaved spikjack tuna
-drinks: white wine: 8/10, negroni: 8/10, amazing presentation of the smokeyness, mocktail: 8/10
