We had a wonderful dinner at Osteria Nonnino! Our waiter, Enzo, was super friendly and attentive! The food was very tasty and authentic! I probably had the best fettuccine al limone I have ever had! They were even better than in Italy! The price was also very reasonable for the quality and quantity they serve here. I would definitely return to this restaurant the next time I am in New York!

My cousin and I were on a trip to NYC and stumbled upon this restaurant. While waiting for our table, we had cocktails at the bar, which felt like the perfect NYC experience. As soon as we got to our table, our server (Enzo) greeted us with knowledge of the specials and menu. He gave great recommendations and made our experience special from start to finish. Could not recommend this place enough. Cannot wait to return. 10/10 recommend.

Google
I am sorry but I can only give the place 3 stars. The food was 4 stars but the service was not good. Everything was rushed so we had a stressful experience. Before we were 100 % done with our starters they came with our main dishes and before we were done with our main dishes they wanted to take out our plates. We really felt like they just wanted to finish very quickly so we ended up only staying there for an hour. Very rare that we experience such a bad and rushed service when out dining.

Osteria Nonnino is a great spot for any occasion! This family run Italian eatery has a great ambiance, warm and friendly staff, and a menu with many great options for everyone! Some highlights of this visit for me were the vodka chicken parm, paper plane, and the tiramisu! I had a great experience here, and I cannot wait for my next visit here!

the gluten free options were fantastic. The staff was so accommodating and made it such an easy experience to dine here. I loved the food and the cheesecake was unreal

Osteria Nonnio instantaneously won my heart and became easily an Italian favorite of mine. From the outdoor aesthetic to the way you feel at home when you walk in. The ambiance is top tier and the attentiveness of the staff is superb. The food is absolutely outstanding. Everything is of the upmost quality and the flavor of each item is perfectly crafted. Highly recommend! What I had - Manhattan - Sauvignon Blanc - Caprese Di Bufala •fresh imported buffalo mozzarella from campagna | fresh tomatoes | roasted peppers - Pasta Cacio E Pepe (prepared table side) - Pollo Pecorino • pecorino encrusted free range breast of chicken | artichoke hearts | lemon-white wine sauce | mashed potatoes -Tiramisu (prepared tableside)

My wife and I booked a reservation for 9pm. The restaurant was very busy which to me is always a great sign. Our experience this evening was hands down a truly Top Tier dining experience one of which allowed my wife and I to enjoy our time together far exceeding our expectations. My wife had the Cacio E Pepe Pasta and I the Osso Bucco which is the lamb shank. Needless to say our meals and the wonderful service did not disappoint whatsoever. If you’re looking for a phenomenal place to dine well look no further, and head over to Osteria Nonnino.🙏😊 You Won’t Regret It!

Whether you’re on a date, having dinner with family, or out with friends, Osteria Nonnino provides a memorable dining experience. With tasty food, a welcoming vibe, and great service, it’s definitely worth a visit! Please try Cacio e Pepe 😊

Yelp
Beautiful ambiance, super delicious food, and great staff! The eggplant appetizer is a must!

Yelp
The table side tiramisu and cacio e pepe were amazing!!! The service was so nice and friendly and I loved the vibe of the place.

Yelp
Osteria Nonnino was such a fantastic experience - from the decorations to the cocktails to the meal itself! I had the paper plane - and it was perfectly made. For dinner we shared the eggplant appetizer, the chicken parm and the lemon fettuccine special. And for dessert we had the tiramisu - which was genuinely spectacular! Highly recommend this place for both the ambiance and the food.

Yelp
My bf found and made a reservation here in the West Village. We were greeted with the lovely staff who led us to the table. The service was amazing - our waiter started on the bread (not pictured but it was so good with the mix of olive oil and balsamic vinegar). I got the Orecchiette Con Bufala as it was one of the more well known items. It was al dente, touch of diced bufala mozzarella divine. The sides were a good touch of mix of flavors - meatballs were tender and the tomato sauce was flavorful! The restaurant itself was small although able to fit large parties. The place was dimmed with little lamps at each table, very classy and clean.

Yelp
Yummy Italian food, but not the most incredible. The pasta was good and tasted fresh but of all of our dishes no one commented anything great. It felt like it was lacking some depth to dishes. The overall ambiance was great. It was super cozy, and the Christmas decor is beautiful. The tables are pretty close together but that's pretty normal for restaurants in the area. The service was great and super fast, like pasta came 5 minutes after we ordered fast.

Riki J.

Yelp
Wanted my visiting family to have Italian food before they left and I'm so glad I found Osteria Nonnino. Came in on a weekend without reservations and we were seated right away. I think we lucked out because it filled up pretty soon after, it's a small restaurant. We had the cacio e pepe and paccheri di Nonnino. The cacio e pepe is prepared in kitchen and put in the cheese wheel tableside for a bit more cheesiness with more grated cheese on top. The paccheri di Nonnino with crumbled sausage and spicy vodka sauce was the unanimous favorite. Going to recommend that to everyone. And the tiramisu made tableside. It's a production by the table, just enjoy the show and devour the dessert!

Yelp
Our last meal before leaving NY was at Osteria Nonnino and it was the BEST choice! We had their fried calamari and polenta for our appetizer. I've never had polenta and it was SO delicious! Fried calamari was also 10/10. The Rigatoni di Nonnino was delicious, I liked that it had a kick to it. The Cacio e Pepe was an absolute treat - loved that they did it tableside. A must have when visiting NYC! We will be back for sure.

Jennie K.

Yelp
we got there a bit earlier so beat the dinner rush which was nice. the food was overall good, the eggplant dish came out a bit cooler but the flavor was good! pasta was cooked al dente to a level i like and the ambiance of the restaurant is so cozy, esp for a winter night!

Yelp
First restaurant I had in NYC and everything was delicious! Pricey? Yes. Delicious? YES. Apps: FRITTO MISTO (calamari) 5/5 Pasta: CAVATELLI BARESE 4/5. This might not be everyone's favorite, as it has a lighter and slightly bitter profile from the broccoli, but the more we ate the better it became! It leaves you with just enough flavor for you to be wanting more. Great for people who prefer lighter sodium flavor profile. Pizza: TARTUFO 5/5. This fed three girls and we had leftovers.

Yelp
I've walked past Osteria Nonnino many times, and I'm glad I finally decided to try it last night! The interior is so cute and romantic, very cozy on a cool fall day. Love the lighting. We ordered a caprese salad for an appetizer, and it came with 3 slices of fresh tomato and buffalo mozzarella with a side of roasted red pepper. Not as good as capreses I've had in Italy, but the buffalo mozzarella was delicious and juicy. My friends and I split cacio e pepe, pasta el limone (a special), and the orecchiette con bufala, and they were all delicious! The cacio e pepe was really fun and prepared table side in a large parmesan wheel. It was nice and salty, and I liked how they used bucatini noodles. The pasta el limone was really light and lemony, which cut through the cheese. The orecchiette was probably my favorite - creamy and rich, and I loved the contrast with the cold diced mozzarella. My only complaint about the pastas is that I feel they were a touch overcooked - I prefer my pastas more al dente. We ordered the tableside tiramisu for dinner, and it was a delight to watch. The cream was silky and delicious, one of the best I've had in tiramisu. Beware, though: the espresso will really hit you! My heart was pounding a little afterwards, haha. Overall, Osteria Nonnino is a great place to dine in the West Village without the wait of some of the more popular Italian destinations!

Sheena T.

Yelp
I honestly wish I could give this place a better rating for its location and cute restaurant decor/atmosphere. I absolutely love West Village and came here on a whim with my partner after finishing tea time over at Anntremet around the corner. As someone who has gone to Misi, L'Artusi, Piccola Cucina, Da Marino, Olio e Peu, Bad Roman, Forma Pasta, as well as Italy 2x to ate an extremely vast amount of pasta dishes, I am disappointed and deeply saddened to give Osteria Nonnino 2 stars. The Cacio e Pepe was extremely disappointing and underwhelming...the pasta was overcooked (not el denté) as well as lacked the cheesiness component cacio e Pepe usually has. We also ordered a salad but had to cancel the salad as we were already somewhat full and too disappointed in the cacio e Pepe to eat anymore. Wouldn't return...there's just so many other Italian places to eat in NYC.

Yelp
Great spot!! Located in the West Village which is easily accessible for most with public transportation. Went at the end of December so it was still decorated for Christmas which was a nice added bonus. Started with the meatballs and then my table split 2 pastas - the Cacio e Pepe and the Orecchiette. The Cacio e Pepe was made table side as well as the tiramisu which was delicious as well. Highly recommend this spot, but make sure you grab a reservation!

Yelp
This restaurant is a must in the West Village! I celebrated my birthday dinner with friends on Saturday night with a party of eight. We had a reservation and were seated five minutes after arriving, with the option to choose between two tables. They were packed which is always a good sign. To start, we ordered two rounds of the arancini, calamari, polenta with sausage ragu, and the cacio e pepe, which they prepare tableside. Everything was delicious, the polenta was my favorite and never had it topped with a sauce. Cacio e pepe also great. For my entree, I went with the waiter's recommendation of Paccheri di Nonnino - pasta tubes with sausage in a creamy vodka sauce. It was truly so good, everyone agreed it was the best dish. I tried a few of my friends meals, including the Osso Buco, which had fall off the bone lamb, and the Chicken Milanese (a special), which had the crunchiest breading I've ever tasted. We shared a few bottles of wine, all of which were excellent, and two cocktails were ordered and enjoyed as well. To end the night, they surprised me with dessert and a sparkler while singing "Happy Birthday," which was a thoughtful way to end the meal. The service was stellar. Our waiter checked in regularly and was always nearby. He had great knowledge of the menu and guided us perfectly on portion sizes for a group of eight. Despite the restaurant being busy, we never felt rushed, and timing of each course was perfect. Toward the end of the night, I found out the restaurant is family run by a husband and wife who came over to say hi. They were so kind. This place is a must so add it to your list! Wish I took more or better pictures, but I was wrapped up in having the best time!

Yelp
Ate dinner here during the holidays and walking in felt like walking into a warm house party. Brightly lit yet extremely cozy and lively. You can tell that it's a loved establishment and the people dining there are regulars/returners. The menu is a bit of a mixed bag-- my chicken parm was good and nearly bigger than my face (I have a huge face, too), my friend got the margarita pizza, which reminded me of one of those $10 personal pizzas that you can buy at college football games. Our non-alcoholic drinks were basically just club sodas that were 60% ice, which quickly melted and diluted the drinks. If you can, try to avoid sitting in the narrow hallway next to the bathroom--you'll probably be forgotten about.

Yelp
The restaurant itself is super cute. The outside has lights hung up and the inside is very cozy but also gives fancy vibes. We sat in the very back at an almost private table they called their "family table" because we had a party of 7. The staff were all so kind and patient, and didn't bother us more than needed. They clarified every order and made sure everything came out on time. They were very prompt if we needed anything too. Great staff, loved them. Food wise, the cacio e Pepe pasta was so mid and did not have any pepper flavor. We had to dump pepper all over our dish and it still didn't taste good. The cheese wheel wasn't anything to watch either. Would not recommend. The calamari and caprese appetizers were good, pretty standard, your basic dishes you can't really mess up. They also came with free complimentary bread and sauce, which were fire. I love me some good bread. The spaghetti pomodoro was mid, nothing special at all but more edible than the cacio e Pepe. The Chicken Parmesan was one of their specials and I can definitely see why. It came out piping hot and full of flavor. It was the best chicken parm I've had and I don't typically like chicken parm. I was shocked at how amazing and tasteful this was. Definitely one of the best dishes at this restaurant! All the pizzas were phenomenal and so thin and crisp. Perfect crust to these pizzas and seasoned so well. It was both light, yet filling and so delicious. I loved their pizzas so much. Both were so so good but the Nonnino pizza was definitely better than the margherita in my opinion. I wish I tried the Tarfuto pizza too because all their pizzas are cooked to perfection! My favorite dishes were definitely the Nonnino pizza and Chicken Parmesan. Those are MUST gets!!

Adam S.

Yelp
Love this place and the service is impeccable. My water glass never was below half way. Plates cleared timely. And the food was amazing- started with the arugula salad, almonds, sun dried tomatoes and lemon vinaigrette. For dinner had the short rib stuffed pasta in a sage brown butter sauce- perfection!!! Can't wait to come back.

Farhaan A.

Yelp
I had an amazing experience at Osteria Nonnino! The warm atmosphere and excellent service made for a fantastic evening. We started with the Melanzane Al Forno, a perfectly baked eggplant dish with rich tomato sauce and melted cheese. For the main course, the chicken parmesan was tender with a crispy crust, smothered in flavorful marinara. The tableside cacio e pepe, prepared in a cheese wheel, was a fun and creamy delight with a bold peppery kick. For dessert, the tableside tiramisu was freshly prepared before our eyes--a sweet and indulgent way to end the meal. I highly recommend Osteria Nonnino for an authentic Italian dining experience with exceptional hospitality!

Lady M.

Yelp
The ambiance is super cute & cozy. It was decorated for Valentine's tastefully. Great for a night out with your sisters or an intimate date night. Exceptional service from our server AJ & an incredibly mindful tableside presentation of the cacio e pepe dish. The pasta was cooked perfectly & the pepe sauce was spot on. Definitely recommend. The fritto misto was cooked & seasoned perfectly. It didn't even need the sauce. My sister had the ravioli which was super fresh & flavorful. Highly recommend Nonnino but rsvp as they tend to get real busy.

Jeff T.

Yelp
Great meal on an extremely cold night always makes for a great time. We shared a Cesar, pasta and the Bronzino . Pasta had 4 oversized shrimp cooked perfectly. Bronzino was also cooked great with a base of broccoli rob. They were nicely busy for a cold night and the room had a nice buz to it. The type I like to dine in. My only negatives were the salad was too basic and it seemed like they needed another server because ours came off hurried and harried. Otherwise it's a definite I'll be back.

Matt L.

Yelp
Outstanding food! The bolognese was super light, delicate, yet full of flavor. Pasta was perfectly cooked. The chicken parm was perfect. It was perfect thickness, nice and crispy, perfectly seasoned, ideal amount of cheese. And the little bit of vodka sauce penne on top was majestic. Cacio e pepe was one of the best I've had in a long time! Tableside tiramisu was amazing. All the food was phenomenal!

Cheryl C.

Yelp
Great place with good vibe. Attentive and friendly wait staff. Cacio e Pepe is prepared tableside and wonderful. Great wine selection and the Settevelli for desert keeps me going back!

Palak S.

Yelp
Decent cacio e pepe with truffles. The truffles are really fresh. The cacio e pepe felt a little too salty, which says a lot for me because I love salty food. When paying 49 dollars for a dish, I feel like the dish should taste amazing. I wouldn't come back but we did finish our plate. Great service btw!

Mara M.

Yelp
Absolutely amazing experience! My husband and I came here for our anniversary dinner and were so happy we did! The service was very friendly and efficient and the ambience was intimate and romantic. The food and drinks were all outstanding! The table side cacio e pepe and orecchiette con bufala both were so good. We were sad we didn't have enough room left after our meal to get the tableside tiramisu but the table next to us did and it was very cool to watch. Will definitely be returning at some point!

Jennifer V.

Yelp
This Italian restaurant blew my expectations through the roof!!! The free bread and sauce at the beginning was amazing - we asked for seconds! Then the pasta itself, I got the fettuccine di emma which was a red pasta with cherry tomatoes and jumbo shrimp, fully tasted like a pasta I'd have in Italy. AMAZING. Their cocktail, the Nonnino Martini, tasted like chocolatey espresso martini - which I loved! Overall, this place surprised me and Im shocked that it's not talked about more! The food tasted like the kind I'd have in Italy, and the service was so kind and patient. The charming ambiance of the restaurant is obviously a plus. I can't wait to be back here!

Elayne W.

Yelp
Came here for a family dinner and everyone loved it! The space is cozy and festively decorated for the holidays. It's definitely a bit small with some tables being close to each other but they make good use of the space (especially having enough room to do the table side cacio e pepe in a Parmesan wheel with the option to add freshly shaved truffles). I loved the polenta and sausage ragu appetizer we ordered. The Caesar salad was also good although I wish the croutons were larger. The caprese was also very fresh but was a small portion. For entrees, I loved the tortelli di casa and orecchiette con bufala (added sausage). The fettuccine di Emma was also very fresh and came with lots of jumbo shrimp. The gnocchi al pesto was a little too creamy for me but the gnocchi was pillowy soft. All of the pasta was freshly made and the portions were also a great size! The service here was very prompt without feeling rushed. I'd love to come back to try more dishes!

Melanie R.

Yelp
Two friends and I ate dinner at Nonninos and it did not disappoint. The Christmas decor was still up, so we had a super cute, wintery atmosphere. I ordered the gnocchi al pesto as my main with the burrata. Sooo yummy! Also ordered the insalata di rucola. It was massive and great! My friends had the cacio e pepe and spaghetti. Both looked solid but I didn't try. Cacio e pepe had the nice cheese wheel show with it. We all shared the salmon and potatoes. The potatoes were perfectly crispy but the salmon was my least favorite dish. It was fine but a bit bland. For drinks I loved their french martini (pictured)! I had two of them and also a nonnino martini (a bit too sweet). We finished off with cheesecake and the setteveli desserts. Both were marvelous, but the cheesecake was the winner. Then we were given complimentary limoncello at the end! Overall I'd love to visit again :)

Tashfia N.

Yelp
I'll start off with the good by saying the service was great, the waiter was very attentive, proactive with suggestions, and checked in on our table often. The restaurant itself is very cozy, great for an intimate dinner with friends. The bread for the table was also really good, soft, and full bodied flavor. Those 2 are the sole reasons I rated the establishment a 2 and not a 1. Now for the actual pasta itself, I did not enjoy it all. I ordered the FETTUCCINE DI EMMA which is long flat ribbon pasta with jumbo shrimp, zucchini, and cherry tomatoes. I personally have never had fettuccine with red sauce but I was excited to try it. The excitement fell flat however, when the sauce was watery and tasteless, and the shrimp although well cooked, tasted almost metallic. I tried adding Parmesan cheese to save the dish, but even that didn't help. I ended up not finishing my dinner sadly, which is doubly upsetting given its price point

Tamiko B.

Yelp
Grabbing a bite after a visit to Teremana Holiday House; across the street. After various tequila libations, quality substinance was needed. City gin, best tap water with lemon wedges to clear our palate. We kept it simple with calamari fitting and crab cakes. The bread basket and olive oil spread hit the spot. We skipped the entree to dit dessert. Chocolate, chocolate and a scoop of fresh creme. I should of had a coffee to accompany. The service was prompt, attentive and welcoming. The restaurant is decorated for the season in an elegant fashion.

Lauren S.

Yelp
I can't say enough about this amazing restaurant. It's romantic and modern but their food is AMAZING. I'm gonna say it...they have the best Cacio e pepe in the city. The pasta was perfectly cooked and the pepper parm sauce was so good and of course done table side. And the baked eggplant was perfection and the table side tiramisu is a game changer. I would absolutely recommend this place!! The service was amazing too (shoutout to Albino), I would definitely recommend being in his section because his table side service is 10/10! Insta: @thehungrysw

Yelp
A must go to! My friend and I were visiting and heard amazing reviews about this restaurant so we made a reservation (which I highly recommend as it gets busy). The restaurant is kind of small but they made good use of the space to seat a decent amount of people. Some tables are a little close so just a heads up! They give you some bread and dip to start with, which were amazing! We got the insalata di rucola to start and the sundried tomatoes were the perfect touch in the salad. The servers were so kind and welcoming, and since my friend and I were sharing dishes they brought our dishes split into 2 which was so nice. We got the cacio e pepe which was prepared tableside so that was really fun. Also, got the tiramisu which was prepared tableside! We really enjoyed this experience and would definitely be a regular here if I lived in the city. I would love to come back and try more of the menu but would never leave here without getting the tiramisu - it was just so fresh and light!

Sarah E.

Yelp
My friends and I had dinner at Osteria Nonnino on Wednesday evening and wow were we in for a treat. The pasta was freshly made, sauces were to die for and the staff is fantastic (Vinny is an angel) unfortunately we had to leave for a show and missed out on the table side tiramisu so we had to make it back. Round 2 met all expectations and more. Vinny gave us a hug when we walked in the door and the rest is history. The paccheri pasta was definitely one of my favorites! Lovely family run restaurant where you can tell they care about their customers and quality of their food. Hits: Meatballs & Arancini Paccheri Di Nonnino Tortellini di Casa Chicken parm special with vodka sauce A stiff dirty martini

Bill S.

Yelp
Charming Italian restaurant in Chelsea. Intimate restaurant with comfortable seating and plenty of staff. Service was friendly and efficient. Good selection of appetizers. Our favorite pasta was the gnocchi. Order the tiramisu just to watch it prepared at your table.

Shreya B.

Yelp
I wish I could do partial stars because I'd rate this around a 3.7 on the scale. Came here for a dinner with work friends and the ambience is small and intimate but does make for a noisy atmosphere. We were seated in the back near the kitchen and there was constant bumping into us from wait staff and noise from the kitchen. We ordered a number of pastas, the cacio e Pepe pizza, the margherita pizza, and the tri color cake, tiramisu, and cannolis. The food was good but nothing out of this world, given how much Italian food is in New York. I enjoyed my meal though and wouldn't mind coming back! I did like how they came and made the cacio e pepe and tiramisu at the table.

Linzy D.

Yelp
osteria nonnino was spectacular. outdoor seating had a great ambiance, the service was also great, and the food. oh, the food. the food was spectacular. highly, highly recommend.

RJ S.

Yelp
Supreme quality all around! I'm a fan. Osteria Nonnino is a family-run Italian restaurant, which is pretty typical in the area. However, they did an exceptional job delivering a memorable dining experience... so memorable that I went back again the next day! On both occasions I sat at the bar where the team was friendly and attentive. They were also ready to offer recommendations and modify menu items for those with food sensitivities (gluten free, etc.) I kicked off my meal with a cocktail, fresh bread and the Insalata Tre Calori. It was a great way to ease into the evening. Next I opted for the Fettuccini di Emma, substituting their homemade gluten free penne for the fettuccini. Most restaurants don't make gluten free pasta options in-house, so this was a rare find. The dish was surprisingly simple, yet extremely satisfying. They also have a decent imported wine selection, so be sure to check out the wine list. If you're in the area, I highly recommend dining here. If you're not, then plan a visit and experience it for yourself! Pro Tip: Sit at the bar and say hi to Vinnie. He'll take care of you.

Jackie K.

Yelp
The food was amazing! The free bread was yummy. We loved all the pastas and the arancini. The waiters were friendly. They make the Cacio e pepe table side and same for the tiramisu. The tiramisu was just ok. It was a big portion but too much coffee. It was soaked in it. They were packed. No free tables which caused the waiters to be busy and not get a lot of attention. They messed something up because they were so busy but worked to try to rectify the situation. I would go back.

Tansy W.

Yelp
Really wanted to love this place but sadly it was a disappointment. It's rather uncomfortable inside as the chairs are uncomfortable and the tables are too close together. People including the waiters were constantly bumping into us and our chairs. The food was also a bit disappointing. The free bread to start was stale. We took one bite and couldn't have any more. The meatballs appetizer was average. We got a vodka sauce pasta dish and the tableside cacio e Pepe. Both were also a bit underwhelming and the latter tasted a little too heavy. The Caesar salad was fairly basic and the tiramisu for dessert was similarly disappointing (didn't love how crunchy the lady fingers were). Over all, probably would not return.

Chloe C.

Yelp
Came here with a couple of friends for a birthday dinner a couple weeks ago as we had heard great things. Taking off a star from my review as we were seated about 30 mins later than our reservation time, but other than that, everything was great! We shared the arancini, Cesar salad, frito misto, cacio e pepe, oricchette with vodka sauce and mozzarella, a spicy vodka pasta, and the prosciutto pizza. Everything was amazing, and the cacio e Pepe is served from a cheese wheel which is always fun! The pizza was the crowd favorite for sure! The waiter brought over some free dessert and birthday shots for us which was very fun. I'll definitely be back!

Sherry G.

Yelp
We were visiting and staying in Chelsea. This restaurant was near by. The service was spectacular! I say that as a restaurant manager for a high end restaurant in California. Their service team was extremely kind and stayed on our water refills, wine pours, swarming the table, and all other service steps. If I get to visits again, I'll be sure to come back! The kale salad special and the gluten free vodka sauce pasta was so spectacular, especially after a long day of exploring the streets of Manhattan. The restaurant has outdoor seating and sits on a corner near shops and a beautiful neighborhood.

Harrison E.

Yelp
Decent Italian spot just outside of the meatpacking district. Pasta is solid - ordered the gnocchi al pesto (pictured) and the paccheri with vodka sauce. The sauces err on the side of overdoing it on the cream added - especially if you get the hunk of burrata added on top. The tiramisu is good, although the tableside preparation is a little gimmicky... Also, be prepared to wait 20-30 minutes past your scheduled reservation time as they prepare your table.

Simran K.

Yelp
What a hit of a place! Nestled in Manhattan, Osteria Noninno packed in some great Italian vibes and flavors. We got there an hour before our dinner reservation to enjoy their daily (yes, daily!) Happy Hour. The Pinot Noir they house is absolutely wonderful, and that's a big revelation for me because I'm typically not amused by a Pinot. I now stand corrected. After a round of drinks at the bar, we were ushered to our table for an incredible meal that followed, and a few more glasses of Pinot of course. They start you off with fresh bread - soft interiors and a crusty exterior, ideal for that scarpetta moment (the soaking your entrees' sauces). This came along with confit tomato oil, and boy was that impressive too! It packed some great depth of flavors! For our mains, we shared the following: Chicken Parmigiana with Penne in Vodka Sauce (5/5) - this was part of their daily specials and an absolute stunner of a dish. The chicken was perfectly breaded, tender yet crispy, and very well seasoned. The Penne was al dente, just as we like it, and the vodka sauce was just right. They also give you a choice of penne or spaghetti to go with it. 100% repeat-worthy. Cacio-e-Pepe (4.5/5) - this is prepared table side and who doesn't love a bit of theatrics and a cheese-wheel? Simple and classic. Worth noting, if you'd like, you can ask for your pasta to be more or less al-dente. Love the flexibility they offer. At the start of your meal, they even come up to you offering that extra bit of crushed peppers and/or Parmesan. Again, love the ability to customize, or just to get in that extra bit of parm and pepper to make the already incredible plate of food, extra decadent. To end with, we had to order dessert, and that decision got tougher when we learnt that most are prepared in-house by the owner's father - the person after who the restaurant is named. To add complexity to our decision making process since we only had room for one, the day's special sounded like a hard one to miss. However, since we came in with a plan to get that table-side Tiramisu, we had to stick to it and not deviate. Really hoping their special's from yesterday - Pistachio Lava Cake, is available on our next visit too because I'm still living a what if moment towards it. That being said, the Tiramisu (5/5) was the best I've had, and I have had a few over the years. Prepared in front of you, the espresso doused ladyfingers, fresh mascarpone on top, and the bitter cocoa is a chef's kiss and another must order! Just when we thought that we were done, we were reminded that the Italians live a hearty life, so we had to do the same and ended with a little bit of a digestif - Limoncello! This wrapped up our experience wonderfully. Every item on the menu was a huge hit, and I couldn't be happier by the service, warmth offered by the staff, and interiors of the place. I am telling all of my friends about this place and am already planning a return to this gem!

Yelp
Tightly packed Italian eatery location with great flavors and fun menu options. We were received like regulars which was odd but the service slightly picked up. I had the special, a lemon pasta. It was exciting to my palate. I really enjoyed it.

Yelp
I can't believe that this restaurant has gotten any good reviews We try different restaurants and take our chances and mostly find something to like about our try's . Her we ordered numerous dishes and each a completely WAY OVER BREADED dishes that were strange tasting and almost no real food there except for gooey breading So many great restaurants STAY AWAY!!!!!! 4 CERTAIN

Yelp
If you're searching for the ideal spot for a romantic date night, look no further than Osteria Nonnino. It is situated in a charming corner of the city, this Italian gem offers an enchanting atmosphere that sets the perfect mood for an intimate evening. As you enter, you're greeted by soft lighting and beautiful decor that exudes warmth and charm. The owners are amazing and welcoming making you feel part of the family The menu features a delightful selection of Italian dishes and cocktails. I enjoyed the carpaccio arugula salad, which was fresh and delicious , while the meatballs were tender and Juicy. We order tableside Cacio e pepe with truffle and burrata- that will take you to Italy. The short rib tortelli was incredibly flavorful. To finish it with Tiramisu, one of the best I have ever had. Also don't miss out to order espresso martini.

Yelp
The location and outdoor dining are really what makes this restaurant appealing but I found the overall experience disappointing. Cocktails were good but they were followed by a salad that wasn't very fresh (endive was turning brown) and the dressing lacked flavor. We also had the arancini but the mozzarella in the center didn't melt, and they were bland and lacked salt. The pasta was cooked perfectly Al dente - and the pomadoro was decent - but the gnocchi was swimming in a sea of pesto. No fresh pepper or cheese was offered and we had to ask our waiter. Not worth the $$$$ in my opinion.
