New Restaurant Fusion 59 Opens in Southwest Houston With Naan Pizzas and Flashy Cocktails | Eater Houston

"Housed at 11786 Wilcrest Drive in Southwest Houston, Fusion 59 Eater and Mixology gives a former bar a second life as a 3,500-square-foot restaurant with an indoor bar and a 1,100-square-foot patio. I found Chef Kristi Courtney’s menu blends traditional and contemporary global cuisine, with appetizers such as samosas served with cilantro chutney and spicy tamarind sauce; wings coated in either coconut curry or a Trinidadian jerk sauce; and both Italian and Indian-styled pizzas, the latter served on naan. Entrees continue the international theme with buttered chicken, Mediterranean salmon, rib-eyes, and a pappardelle Bolognese made from braised lamb leg. Mixologist Jojo Martinez curates a diverse cocktail lineup including the rosy Mi Amorita (tequila, rose, orange liqueur, lime, and rose essence), a French 59 (gin, spiced mango, lemon, and champagne), Peaches Down in Georgia (grilled peach vodka, peach bitters, vanilla, lemon, and Cava), and the Family Tradition, a smoking take on an Old Fashioned made with bourbon, turbinado sugar, and cherry angostura, garnished with a citrus twist and Italian cherry and served in a clear box. There’s also a $39 Houston Restaurant Weeks three-course menu offering appetizers (calamari, wings, or orzo salad), mains (shrimp pasta, buttered chicken, or al formaggio pizza on naan), and desserts (bourbon bread pudding, a skillet cookie, or gelato). The restaurant is open daily from 3 p.m.; Sunday–Thursday until 10 p.m. and Friday–Saturday until 11 p.m., with happy hour offered daily from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m." - Brittany Britto Garley

The food is amazing. The chef on duty Connie was great. She was great at explaining the best dishes and the specialties to try. She came out and made sure we liked our order. Unfortunately, the restaurant has not had a lot of exposure, and it was some what empty. The restaurant is extremely clean and has a lot of potential. We will definitely be back.

I was there and ordered $10.99 seafood soup and they insisted changed me 14.99. And I ordered take out still have 10% fee. Overcharge . Also I ordered a seafood soup in the photo and they said they were not able give me all the ingredients because they don’t have.

I’m so glad I found this spot! Ostioneria 59 is the perfect mix of casual and lively — plenty of seating, good lighting, and great vibes even when it’s busy. My family and I felt welcome right away. The owner was incredibly humble and engaging, sharing stories and knowing exactly when to give guests their space. The seafood platter (oysters, shrimp, and fish with rice and plantains) was fresh, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. Portion sizes were generous and pricing was fair. Whether you’re coming with family or looking to socialize and network, this is one of Houston’s hidden gems. Highly recommend! 🦪🍤🐟

I was the only one there so service was great considering there was no one else to wait on. The food was good but prices on the menu are inaccurate and I was charged a higher amount than what was on the menu. To top it off, I was charged a 10% fee that no one could explain. The waitress said it was a "service charge" but could provide no details if it was part of her tip or not. I paid cash so it couldn't have been a cc fee.

How can you guys call yourselves an “Ostioneria” if you run out of Oysters. Service was abysmal, a Cuban woman who acted like I was a bother even though I was the only customer in the entire restaurant. The salmon was not cooked well and lacked flavor. They also charge a 10% Service fee for absolutely no reason. This place is a joke. Will not be coming back.
